Despite the much more somber tone compared to Series/UltramanTriggerNewGenerationTiga, Series/UltramanDecker does not forego the humor to lighten the mood from time to time.

!!Episodes

* While also heartwarming, it can be pretty funny when Kanata offers some rice crackers to Ichika upon meeting her. Ryumon's stoic and cold rejection of them adds to the hilarity.

%%

* To get to know [=HANE2=] better, Kanata and the others introduce themselves to him. However, [=HANE2=] responds that he already has their personal information in his databanks and is bewildered why they're giving him information he already knows.
* Kanata accidentally lets it slip that he knows Decker's name, forcing him to hastily lie that he named him such because it sounds cool and big.
* Captain Murahoshi outright tells Kanata that the GUTS Wing's controls are terrible since they weren't built in mind for consistent use by pilots. Sure enough, the stimulation has Kanata and his friends fail over and over against the Kaiju.
* Kanata has to explain why he's naming Hanejiro the way he is, with Hanejiro realizing how much of a MeaningfulName Kanata's own name is. Kanata also demands the AI to forgo his polite tone.

* The mayor of the hot springs town in this episode is played by Masami Horiuchi, who played, among other Ultra Series characters, the mayor of Kobe in Film/UltramanMebiusAndTheUltraBrothers. As a nod to his role in that film, he randomly receives a call while investigating Mons-Ahgar's capsule and starts listing off his groceries towards the person on the other end of the line.
* The capsule containing Mons-Ahgar emits strange radio waves, which Sawa decodes by comparing them to ancient languages. The content is, apparently, a voiceover by the Meranie advertising Mons-Ahgar as their product, morbidly phrased to resemble a pest-extermination service.
--> Alien Meranie (voiceover): Are you troubled by annoying civilisations that advance into space? Then you need the Destructive Monster Mons-Ahgar Series. These monsters will wipe out any civilisations in your way. This is a demonstration to show you their capabilities. Numbers are limited, so be sure to order quickly.
* Apparently, Decker doesn't have the Ultra Shower ability most Ultras have, as after transforming he uses the local hot springs' water to put out the fire on the GUTS Falcon's wings. The mayor of the hot springs is ecstatic that they could help out and quickly takes a few photos of Decker to put in the local news later.
* Hanejiro badly imitating Kanata after he transformed into Decker. The disapproving grunt the Ultra makes is hilarious.
* Justifiably annoyed, Decker gives the capsule a solid whack to shut the "advertisement" up.
* How does Decker beat Mons-Ahgar's collapsible weak point shield? Feint then poke it in the eye, complete with cartoon eye bulge and redness.

* When Kirino tries delivering a city battery to Elly so the Eleking can eat and sate its starving hunger. She has to sneak past Kanata and Ryumon, who eventually see her trying to smuggle the large load through the building from an elevator they're sharing and are unimpressed when they come across her trying to use the elevator herself.
* At one point during its fight with Decker, Elly stops fighting to imitate Decker's movements, which it uses to lower Decker's guard before delivering a good punch. It giggles at its success.
* At the end of the episode Sawa prepares to give Yuko a proper feeding tutorial for Elly thanks to her kaiju expertise, from what we see of it, the tutorial's done in a rather cheesy style reminiscent of [=YouTube=] How-To tutorials. She even has an Eleking sofubi in her hands while giving the tutorial.

* The whole colony of Twin Tail being unceremoniously wiped out as collateral damage is downright hilarious considering how troublesome Twin Tails usually are throughout the Franchise/UltraSeries instalments. It can be even made funnier when you remember that they're all portrayed with vinyl figures, making it seem like the producers just included them for thematic reasons and wiped them out the second they had a good excuse to do so.
* Gudon continues its tradition of being a dick to other monsters, by slapping Pagos to get it to fight.
* After Agira defeats Telesdon and expends all its energy, it makes the infamous "sulking pose" he had in his battle with Imitation Ultraseven before he gets desummoned. Seems like Ultraman Z's Sevenger isn't the only returning Capsule Monster who has a silly way to indicate it is tired. Even better is that it was ad-libbed by the suit actor, Keni Kajikawa, because he couldn't resist homaging that scene as a fan of Agira.

* When Ryumon questions how Kengo managed to break through the Spheres' barrier, both Kengo and Kanata are revealed to be terrible at telling lies, using increasingly flimsy lies to attempt to convince GUTS-Select and prevent their identities from being revealed. The only reason their lies work are because the others are so out of the loop that they don't suspect a thing
* Kengo teaches Kanata the dance Ribut taught him to master Glitter Trigger Eternity in his home series.
* When fighting Sphere Megalozoa, Kanata makes an...interesting observation about the toughness of its shell.
--> Kanata: It's harder than my rice crackers!

* Mika, a very young girl, casually threatens to blackmail Kanata at the start of the episode. Her utterly cheerful behavior as she casually threatens a guy older than herself with his secret identity can be quite hilarious.

* When Kanata gets excited over Terraphaser's one-hit-kill ChestBlaster, Kirino tries to get Ryumon's support for Kanata to stay quiet. Only for it turn out that Ryumon is also similarly gushing over the robot's capabilities.
* Rai-Basser has destroyed Terraphaser's inexperienced AI unit and rendered it inoperable. The group tries to think of a way to reactivate it, but needs an AI with experience to properly combat the bird monster.
--> Kanata: But it's not like we have a lot of experienced AI's lying around.
--> Ryumon: We have one.
--> [Beat, everyone stares at Hanejiro]
--> Hanejiro: Huh?
* When the team rushes to get Hanejiro into Terraphaser they get pursued by the Hina-Basser flock, forcing them to play a game of Hot Potato with poor Hanejiro who can only complain about being thrown around like a football.
--> Hanejiro: This is worse than piloting the GUTS Hawk!
* To escape the grasp of a Hina-Basser, Kanata transforms into Decker... Who is human-sized. Both Ryumon and Kirino are confused as heck, Decker is unable to even properly communicate with them and the whole situation is flat-out hilarious as no one can quite make out what to think about the shrunk Decker in front of them. Eventually Hanejiro has to butt in and "state" that Decker "saved" Kanata and brought him to a safe spot, Decker nonchalantly thumbs up like Dyna to reiterate his point.
* When Asakage tries to get Hanejiro to pilot Terraphaser, the robot can't help but complain all the way through about how he doesn't feel ready to actually control the robot given his inexperience with piloting machines of that kind. Then when he's plugged in he starts to excitedly report all the systems that now work, with Asakage having to tell him to stop and focus on the mission.
* At the end of the episode, when the others are patching up Kanata's injuries, Hanejiro can be seen in the background with an ice pack on his head unit.

* Hanejiro exploits his position as Kanata's SecretKeeper to force him to transform when he needs backup:
** During their first battle with Sphere-Neomegas, he forcibly ejects Kanata from the GUTS Gryphon, sending him screaming while plummeting towards the ground before transforming.
** In their rematch with Sphere-Neomegas, he deliberately gets Terraphaser knocked over by Sphere-Neomegas to get it to fall near Kanata, thus providing an adequate cover for him to transform.
---> Kanata: [as Terraphaser falls near him] Talk about crazy!

* Apparently, unlike the Ultra Medal Holder, the Ultra Dimension Card Holder is visible to normals, and Ryumon points out to Kanata that it's against uniform regulations. Kanata manages to explain it as a container for bandages. However he did not bother to keep bandages on him to keep the charade up, which causes problems when Kirino tries to ask for one.
* Marluru disparaging each of the GUTS-Select's members is pretty funny to watch as they all take turns being baffled at what they get told and laughing at the others' disparaging.
* While fixing the Nursedessei's power system, Marluru casually brings up how tough it must be for Kanata to transform in secret. Kanata laughs and agrees with him, and a horrified Hanejiro has to remind him he's not supposed to know.
** After that, when Kanata explains how he became Decker, the two are seated cross-legged on the floor in a way that Series/UltraSeven fans would be immediately familiar with.
** So how did Marluru figure out Kanata's secret identity? It's because Kanata acts in exactly the same way Kengo did whenever he needed to transform.
* At the end of the episode, Marluru managed to get the Nursedessei up and running again, and claims he only needs to perform the finishing touch. He presses the enter button on his laptop...and the entire Nursedessei blacks out again.

* At the beginning of the episode, Decker and Terraphaser share a fist-bump, only for Decker to hurt his hand on the robot's armour.
* Kanata and Hanejiro openly gush at the positive public opinion on Decker and Terraphaser. A confused Ichika asks why Kanata would be happy that Decker's popular among the public, proving once again that he's terrible at protecting his secret identity.
* During his fight against Terraphaser, the future Decker reacts to his Colour Timer going off by throwing his hands up in exasperation.

* The original host of Ultraman Decker is named Decker Asumi. He is really bad at naming things.

* The episode opens with three bumbling TPU members and a bunch of civilians trying to catch Spinnie. Emphasis on trying.
** As two of the TPU members run after Spinnie with nets, one of them hits the other while swiping at the floating monster.
** After Spinnie had incapacitated two of the TPU members, the last one standing runs after Spinnie offscreen...then returns while Spinnie pecks him in the butt, before losing track of it after he gets his head stuck in a basket.
---> TPU member: Target has been lost!
** While all this is happening, an old lady is seen nonchalantly drinking tea and watching them chase after Spinnie.
* GUTS-Select arrive on the scene and try to capture Spinnie using a Delta formation. It only results in them getting their heads caught in each other's nets, allowing Spinnie to escape.

* After ordering GUTS-Select to stay put against Gomess (S), Nigel asks Hanejiro to play music. He complies and brings out a heavy metal track, causing Nigel much distress. Hanejiro can even be seen headbanging to the music while he plays it!
* At the end of the episode, Murahoshi and Ryumon's heartfelt conversation is backed by "Pomp and Circumstance"...which grinds to a halt as everyone stares at Hanejiro, who was playing it in the background. He takes this as his cue to start playing the end credits instead.
--> Hanejiro: Too much? Perhaps this would be better.
--><cue end credits>

* This episode involves the team investigating a series of monster attacks... which amount to little more than Ragon roaring in the victim's face then rubbing slime over it with its hands. One has to wonder why GUTS even showed up to something that sounds more like a prank than a life-or-death situation.
* The old lady claims, at two different points, that Ichika could see Lord Ragon because the latter likes "beautiful young women with pure hearts." But despite being there with Ichika, Sawa didn't see it, leading to implications that she does not care for.
* When the giant Ragon appears, Decker has a surprisingly hard time with it not because it's particularly strong, but because his attacks keep slipping on Ragon's slimy body.

* While trying to lure Sphere-Geomos, Kanata's machine gun runs out of ammo and he ducks behind a building to reload. Cue Agams handing him a spare magazine, to which Kanata accepts without a question before doing a DoubleTake.

* After the usual dramatic reveal of the protagonist revealing his identity as an Ultraman to the members of the attack team, it is rather hilarious they decide to casually reveal the fact that Kengo is Trigger to Sawa and Taiji simply because they wanted to see their surprised reaction.

!!Kanata's Ultra Dimension Navi

* After Hanejiro details that Miclas saved Decker from Deathdrago in the second episode he then calls Kanata stiff for almost losing to the kaiju, to Kanata's decidedly unamusement.

* Hanejiro agrees with Kanata's assessment that Decker's Power Type is cool, but then backhands Kanata by saying that he isn't, Kanata asks the robot if that was necessary.

* Hanejiro bluntly tells Kanata that he is a nuisance after Kanata talks about Mons-Ahgar's abilities and threat. Kanata is not impressed nor amused to say the least.

* Hanejiro snarks at Kanata when discussing Miracle Type's abilities, saying that he sometimes makes good choices. Kanata is less than amused about the remark.
