6	''Bacurau'' (also known as ''Nighthawk'') is a 2019 Brazilian western film that takes place in a fictional small village in the northeastern region of Brazil. The story follows Bacurau's habitants, their everyday struggles and how they react when a group of outsiders come to their village and disrupt their lives.

Michael is a lot more calm than them, but still shoots one of his own team, for no more reason than having an itchy trigger finger.

Later on, she apologizes to Plínio, Carmelita's son, in front of the whole village, while explaining why the medicine brought by the mayor is very dangerous and should be ignored, and shows a more leveled, caring side of hers that sticks throughout the rest of the film. Teresa even lampshades it, saying that she's a sweetie when she's not drunk.

34	* HaveYouToldAnyoneElse: A convoluted version of this gets two villagers killed when they run into the bikers right after finding the bodies of the first victims. One of them is suspicious of the bikers, and when they ask if anyone else knows, he claims to have just called the village to report the deaths. The bikers know he is lying because the bikers helped cut off the cell service to the whole area, and knowing that the two locals are suspicious of them makes the bikers shoot them.

They spend several days killing small groups of townsfolk on the outskirts of town, giving the town plenty of opportunity to realize that they're under attack and make preparations. Once they decide to make their final assault, the hunters do so without any of the recon that they'd been using before and simply wander blindly into town, expecting no resistance.
56	* SurprisinglySuddenDeath: Despite being the cruelest of the Outsiders as well as two of the most featured, [[spoiler:Joshua and Julia]] get some of the most abrupt and quick deaths of the bunch when they are shot down by a barrage of fire from over a dozen townspeople.
57	* ThatManIsDead: Acácio tries to put his past as "Pacote", an accomplished killer, behind him, but when he asked for Lunga's help, Lunga promptly asked him if he "would be Pacote once again".

60	* VillainsWantMercy: [[spoiler:Kate]] begs for mercy after being horribly wounded in self-defense by one of the villagers and says "I don't know?" when asked why [[spoiler:she]] came to kill them in the first place. [[spoiler:They do take her to a doctor, but she dies from blood loss]].
61	* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Subverted with Lunga. He is a criminal but never acted against the people of Bacurau. While he's regarded as a criminal outside of Bacurau, the people inside the village not only hold him in high regard but also greet him and his gang with open arms with food and follow his lead as soon as he arrives when Pacote begs for his help. This case also applies to Pacote, to some extent, as he's trying to reform.
