!!Out at the Wedding provides examples of:

* TheBeard:
** is an unwitting beard. She had realized she was lesbian as a kid but was so ashamed by it that she repressed it well into adulthood.
** Alex pays Risa to act like her girlfriend.
* ButchLesbian:
** Risa is a soft butch woman and is openly gay.
** At one point Alex attempts to act like a butch lesbian. She comes off as a terrible stereotype, which the others point out.
* CampGay: Jonathan is a quirky and flamboyant gay man.
* ClosetKey: Risa acts as this towards .
* ComingOutStory: ends up coming to terms with her sexuality over the course of the film.
* ComingOutToSpouse: Jeannie comes out to her family, including her recently-wed husband. The two end up divorcing and the epilogue has Jeannie happily dating Risa.
* Gayngst: After kissing a girl at summer camp when she was younger, went into denial about her sexuality until she met her ClosetKey.
* GenderBlenderName: Exploited with Alex's boyfriend's name. It's "Dana", which she uses for Risa as well.
* LipstickLesbian: turns out to be one. She's very femme but has kept it a secret that she's gay.
* StepfordSmiler: Alex's "perfect" sister Jeanie is a downplayed example. She's not exactly depressed, however she isn't as picture-perfect happy as Alex believes.
