!!Tropes for the film:
* AccentUponTheWrongSyllable: The movie has John Whitney (Myers) saying the trope name after another flight attendant mispronounces the word "assess" as "asses".
* IgnoreTheDisability: John Whitney has a lazy eye and when one of the flight attendants is being interviewed by him, she has a hard time not mentioning the eye at all. Finally, she slips up at the end and as a result does not get the job.
--> '''Whitney''': Does anything frighten you?\
'''Preston''': Oh, do you mean the eye?
* IntimateLotionApplication: While Ted gives Donna and Christine a boat ride, Christine comes on to him hard by asking him to rub suntan oil on her back and shoulders. He obliges, much to Donna's annoyance, though to Christine's annoyance just he keeps talking to Donna while rubbing oil on her, showing she's the one he's truly interested in.
* SexyStewardess: Played with. The flight attendant heroines, in one of their early jobs, are pretty much dressed like streetwalkers and eventually escape to a better airline. Depending on what the viewer might think of Christina Applegate, Kelly Preston, and Gwyneth Paltrow, it might even be played straight.
* {{Tagline}}: "Don't stop till you reach the top".
