When Quirks first began to manifest in the world, those with powers were viewed with hostility, distrust, and fear. In those dark ages, the world called them by several names: Deviants, Mutants, Meta Humans, Freaks, Monsters, Demons.

"Conduits."

But now, those with powers are viewed with awe. Many years have passed since those dark days, and Quirks have become well integrated with daily life to the point where watching someone using their Quirk for villainous purposes battle someone who fought to stop them became the norm. Today, just as many "Conduits" have become villains, there were "Conduits" who became heroes.

And Izuku Midoriya, someone who was once powerless and without any powers, was standing on center stage as history began to repeat itself. A disaster awakens an incredible power in him, one just like that of one the first heroes to emerge.

But where will this newfound power take him? And moreover, why are the circumstances behind the awakening to his power similar to that of the Patron Saint?

''[[https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/infamous-hero-academia-my-hero-academia-infamous-crossover.862606/ inFAMOUS Hero Academia]]'' is a FusionFic between ''VideoGame/InFAMOUS'' and ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' where Izuku gains Cole [=McGrath's=] powers and now finds himself faced with new threats that will push him to his limits.

!''inFAMOUS Hero Academia'' provides examples of:

* AdaptationalBadass: {{Invoked|Trope}}. WordOfGod states that many characters are either stronger than their canon selves or are going to get stronger at a much faster rate, due to them either coming into contact with a Blast Shard or being within the radius of a Ray Sphere blast.
** Ray Sphere Enhanced:
*** Izuku gains Cole's ShockAndAwe powers and WordOfGod confirms that he'll also receive One For All.
*** Shoto is shown practicing his ice powers at a level not seen in his canon self. Not only can he emit blasts of ice, he can also control said ice when it separates from his body, such as manipulating its shape or moving it mid-air.
** Blast Shard Enhanced:
*** Tomura's Decay powers are stated by All For One to be even more powerful thanks to absorbing the Blast Shards emitted by the Ray Sphere's detonation.
*** Melissa Shield goes from being Quirkless to gaining Fetch's [[LightEmUp Neon powers]].
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: The Big Three appear and become characters in Izuku's story ''before'' he starts attending UA rather than showing up after Izuku passed his Provisional License Exam.
* AffluentAscetic: According to David, despite the vast wealth that being the Symbol of Peace gives him, All Might rarely ever spends any of it and will often either save it for gifts (having sent Melissa Shield a car for her birthday) or just give it away at charity events.
* AgeLift: Melissa, who was a year or so older than Izuku in canon, is the same age as him in this story.
* AnachronicOrder: The events of Issue #4 take place after Issue #6 and Volume 1 overall.
* ArcWelding: On account of the story being a FusionFic. The setting of ''My Hero Academia'' is the world of ''[=inFAMOUS=]'' several decades after the events of Cole and Delsin's adventures, which was set during the days when Quirks started to become public knowledge.
* AscendedExtra: Melissa Shield, who only appears in the movie ''My Hero Academia: Two Heroes'' and the tie-in chapter and episode for the manga and anime respectively. Here, she is a major character and even has her own Quirk.
* BigDamnHeroes: After the Blast occurred, All Might rushed to Mustafu and saved Katsuki and Izuku from being flattened by a collapsing building.
* BrutalHonesty: Nighteye flat out told Izuku he caused the Blast with zero tact according to All Might. [[BreakTheCutie It has disheartening results for Izuku.]]
* CallBack: Cole's StarterVillain was a {{Yandere}} StalkerWithACrush by the name of Sasha, who controlled her gang of Reapers through her tar. Izuku's own StarterVillain is a contract killer named Urabumi Kiboshi, also known as Reaper, whose Quirk allows her to control anyone who ingests her tar.
* CompositeCharacter: Izuku gets elements of Cole, not only gaining his powers, but he also worked as a bike courier prior to gaining them.
* CurbStompBattle: [[spoiler:Kessler]] incapacitates Aizawa with a single lightning blast.
* DemonicPossession: [[ZigZaggedTrope Zig-zagged]]. Urabumi isn't a demon or supernatural entity, but she is capable of possessing anyone who ingests her tar.
* {{Expy}}: Urabumi Kiboshi is one of Sasha from the first ''[=inFAMOUS=]'' game, having a similar appearance and abilities.
* FamedInStory: Cole [=MacGrath=] and Delsin Rowe are both recognized as major influences behind the present-day hero society that now exists, with Cole being seen as the "father" of Pro Heroes and Delsin Rowe being an influential figure for Pro-Quirk advocate movements. Outside of those two, Zeke Dunbar also became a leading figure for people accepting "Conduits," with his contributions being highly valued to the point where his work is thought to be the reason why the term "Conduit" ultimately began to fade out of use.
* FusionFic: The worlds of ''[=inFAMOUS=]'' and ''My Hero Academia'' are one of the same here. The events of the first two games and ''Second Son'' took place when Quirks first began to appear, with Cole's being one of the first to appear in the public eye. "Conduit" was also a derogatory term for Quirk users back then since society didn't understand why people were suddenly developing superpowers all of a sudden. By the events of ''My Hero Academia'', society has embraced Conduits for what they were, since they now make up eighty percent of the world's population.
* HistoryRepeats:
** It's even the title of the first chapter. The beginning of Izuku's story is similar to Cole's journey in ''[=inFAMOUS=]'', the events of which happened in the distant past when Quirks began to manifest in humanity. [[spoiler:As it turns out, it was orchestrated by All For One and Kessler, much like how the original Kessler orchestrated for Cole to get the Ray Sphere and cause the original Blast]].
** The first villain that All For One and [[spoiler:Kessler]] sent to "test" Izuku is Urabumi Kiboshi. Her Quirk is "Living Tar", a transformation-type Quirk that allows her to turn into tar that can invade people's bodies and turn them into {{Meat Puppet}}s. Her powers, the fact that said powers were activated by the Ray Sphere's explosion, and her red hoodie are all a reference to Sasha, the first ArcVillain from the first ''[=inFAMOUS=]'' game.
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite Izuku now having a Quirk of his own, he's still set to receive One For All according to WordOfGod.
* ItsAllMyFault: Upon being told that he set off the Blast, Izuku [[HeroicBSOD breaks down hard]] and even asks an untransformed All Might if a "murderer" like him could be a hero.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Showing how seriously the Blast situation is being taken, Tsukauchi notes that Endeavor's normally smug and arrogant demeanor is completely absent.
* ProfessionalKiller: Urabumi Kiboshi is one, hired by All For One and [[spoiler:Kessler]] to "test" Izuku. Urabumi doesn't consider herself a professional in her line of work, however.
* {{Revenge}}: In the past, Urabumi fought a "burnt bastard" (heavily implied to be Dabi) and has since sworn she'll kill him.
* ShoutOut: The scene where All For One's hooded associate reveals himself parallels a scene from ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'', in which "Ansem" pulls down his hood and states his name to [=DiZ=], causing the latter to laugh and remark it's an honor.
* StarterVillain: Urabumi is this to Izuku as she's the first super-villain he faces in his journey to become a hero, [[spoiler:having been hired by Kessler as a "test"]].
* SuperEmpowering: Individuals who were nearby when the Ray Sphere activated or came into contact with Blast Shards receive this treatment in two different flavors: Those who were caught in the Ray Sphere's blast radius either gain powers they never had before or their Quirk receives a massive boost in power. Anyone who absorbs the energy of a Blast Shard can increase their powers as well but is weaker in the empowering department than the Ray Sphere. David Shield speculates that if someone like Mt. Lady came into contact with a Blast Shard, she would be able to potentially either increase in size ''or shrink'' as an example of this.
* TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening: How Izuku obtained his Quirk, having just survived being at ground zero of the Blast and was severely injured in the process. According to Dr. Tsubasa, there's also a theory revolving around people in their late teens and in adulthood who awaken to their Quirks in situations of extreme stress, citing the cliché "mother gains SuperStrength and saves her child" as a good example of this trope.
* WhamLine: Issue #6 has the man responsible for the Blast give his name to All For One, and it's a ''very'' familiar one.
-->[[spoiler:'''Kessler:''' My name...is Kessler.]]
* YankTheDogsChain: After spending years Quirkless, the Blast seemingly awakens Izuku's Quirk, which as you can imagine makes him extremely happy as it means his dreams of becoming a hero are finally within reach...only for that dream to come crashing down when Nighteye tells him that he inadvertently ''caused the blast''.
