->"As he's training on Dagobah Beach, Izuku Midoriya stumbles upon a hidden gem in the mountain of junk; a centuries-old Volkswagen Beetle. Fortunately, All Might knows someone who can fix it up like new... but once they do, this little yellow bug will change their lives in ways that they could've never expected. After all... it's MUCH more than meets the eye."

* AdaptationalRelationshipOverhaul:
** Due to Izuku arriving at the U.A. Entrance Exams early thanks to Bumblebee, it was Kyoka who caught Izuku from falling instead of Ochaco and from there the two became quick friends to eventually becoming each other's respective {{Love Interest}}s.
** While Izuku and Ochaco do become friends, they don't share the same closeness as they did in canon. [[InSpiteOfANail That said, Ochaco still calls Izuku "Deku" after asking his permission as she feels it rolls off the tongue better than "Midoriya"]].
** Mei's only relationship with Izuku and his friends is to provide them with support items in canon. Here, due to knowing the secret of the Cybertronian war alongside them, she forms a close bond with them while also becoming their friend.
* CanonWelding: The person who said the famous phrase that humanity would've achieved interstellar travel by now if it weren't for Quirks in the world of ''My Hero Academia'' was never revealed. Here, Izuku claimed that [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Isaac Sumdac]] is the one who came up with it.
* CompositeCharacter: Many of the Cybertronian characters in the story take elements from various ''Transformers'' continuities, visual and personality-wise.
** Bumblebee himself is based on his titular movie counterpart but with his robot mode leaning towards his Generation 1 self, along with the amnesia his ''Cyberverse'' counterpart has.
** Sideswipe, for the most part, is patterned after his Generation 1 incarnation, with his CoolPeopleRebelAgainstAuthority dynamic with Stongarm taken from his ''Robots in Disguise (2015)'' incarnation.
** While Bulkhead is primarily based on his ''Prime'' counterpart, his backstory in Chapter 11 has elements of ''Animated'' Bulkhead (befriending construction robots named Scrapper and Mixmaster) and G1 Omega Supreme (specifically his backstory in ''The Transformers'' episode "The Secret of Omega Supreme", where he used to befriend the Constructicons before Megatron brainwashed them and destroyed Crystal City).
** Springer's character remains the same as his G1 version. However, he shares some character aspects with ''Prime'' Wheeljack; namely his time and friendship with Bulkhead during their past as members of the Wreckers.
** This incarnation of Red Alert is a security officer alongside a medic, the former reminiscent of his G1 incarnation, and the latter, in addition to his initially grouchy personality and being an old friend of Optimus, reminiscent of ''Prime'' Ratchet. His general appearance is described as similar to ''[[Anime/TransformersArmada Armada]]'' Red Alert.
** Jazz has the personality and design of his G1 counterpart while also having received training from the CyberNinja Corps under Yoketron like he did in ''[[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Animated]]''.
** Frenzy retains his G1 personality and appearance, but now he's a Mini-con partnered with Barricade and has a sawblade in his arsenal, much like his [[Film/Transformers2007 2007 live-action movie]] counterpart. Barricade himself is based on his IDW 2005 self with the "snarky number two" element borrowed from ''Prime'' Knock Out, and the alt-mode of his ''War for Cybertron: Earthrise'' toy.
** Sky-Byte combines his love of poetry, loyalty to Megatron, and slightly silly behavior from his original ''Robots in Disguise'' incarnation, with the competence as a warrior and emmity with Jetfire from ''Cyberverse''.
** Jetfire himself is mostly based on his G1 incarnation, including his former friendship with Starscream. His personality is more akin to that of ''Armada'', while his alt mode is based on his ''Thrilling 30'' toy. He also has a Cyber Key from ''Cybertron''.
** The Nebulans combine their appearance from G1 with the Australian accents from ''Cybertron''.
* DavidVersusGoliath: The students and Pro Heroes are the Davids to the Decepticon's Goliaths.
* FantasticCasteSystem: Similar to ComicBook/TheTransformersIDW comics, Cybertron in its early years used to follow a caste system known as Functionism where a Cybertronian's Alt mode decided their occupation and future.
* HardLight: The holoform avatars the Autobots use to blend in with humans are made of this.
* OhMyGods: Unsurprisingly the Cybertronians have their own ways of swearing, like using Primus instead of 'God', or saying "Sweet Solus Prime!" or "Trion's beard!".
* PatchworkFic: For the ''Transformers'' side of the story, it draws primarily from ''Film/{{Bumblebee}}'', [[ComicBook/TheTransformersMarvel the original Marvel comics]], [[ComicBook/TheTransformersIDW the IDW comics]], ''WesternAnimation/TransformersCyberverse'', and [[Franchise/TransformersAlignedUniverse the Aligned continuity]] as its sources. ''Earthrise'' later adds elements from the Anime/UnicronTrilogy, such as Cyber Keys.
* PointOfDivergence:
** Since Bumblebee is the one giving him a lift to the Entrance Exam, Izuku arrives earlier and Kyoka is the one who grabs him, not Ochako.
** On a related note, since Bumblebee gives [[OriginalCharacter Kaida Kiryu]] a lift after she misses her train, she makes it to U.A. on time and replaces Mineta in Class 1-A, implicitly due to her scaring him off when he tries to catch a ride on her during the Exam.
** Because Izuku undergoes training with Optimus and All Might, he learns to utilize Full Cowling in time for the Sports Festival instead of after it.
** Mina gets to keep her original hero name choice of Alien Queen, due to Aizawa hearing it instead of Midnight, and Mina making the argument that the Autobots, aliens themselves, are friendly.
** The Sports Festival undergoes quite a few changes.
*** Izuku and Kyoka both work together on the obstacle course and end up tying for first place, meaning they both get the 10,000,000-point headband.
*** Because Izuku and Kyoka both get the 10,000,000 headband, they end up on the same team. While Mei is still part of Team Midoriya (or Team "[=MidoJiro=]" as it's called), Kiryu takes up the fourth slot as the front horse.
*** Tokoyami and Uraraka are instead on separate teams, with the former being a part of Hagakure's team, and the latter being brainwashed with Ojiro to be on Team Shinso. As a result, Tokoyami doesn't make it to the final round and Uraraka being brainwashed causes Class A to figure out Shinso's Quirk in advance.
*** Aoyama instead joins Tsuyu and Shoji for the Cavalry Battle, and as such, also does not make it to the final round.
*** Team [=MidoJiro=] manages to keep the 10,000,000-point headband throughout the Cavalry Battle by tricking Team Todoroki into grabbing a headband they snatched from Hagakure at the last minute.
*** During the tournament itself, Izuku ends up defeating Tenya in the quarter-finals and Shoto defeats Ibara, meaning their match happens in the semi-finals.
*** [[spoiler:Izuku and Shoto's match ends up going into a draw with both sending each other out of bounds with their strongest strikes. The tiebreaker is settled with a game of rock-paper-scissors, which Izuku wins, allowing him to advance to the finals.]]
*** [[spoiler:Izuku ultimately wins the Sports Festival when he defeats Bakugo in the finals.]]
** While deciding on their internships, some of the students decide to intern with different heroes instead of the ones they did in canon.
*** Momo interns with Edgeshot instead of Uwabami.
*** Eijiro and [[spoiler:Tetsutetsu]] intern with Crust instead of Fourth Kind.
*** [[spoiler:Itsuka interns with Gunhead alongside Ochaco instead of Uwabami.]]
*** Kyoka interns with [[spoiler:Snake Eyes]] instead of Death Arms.
*** While Izuku still goes to Gran Torino, he also learns under [[spoiler:Mirko]], which allows him to start using Shoot Style earlier.
** Due to helping Tenya, Shoto, and Izuku fight Stain, [[spoiler:Mirko]] ends up getting the credit for the Hero Killer's capture instead of Endeavor, with the burns and injuries on Stain being explained as Shoto and Tenya defending themselves from him.
*** Also, since Izuku is not seriously injured fighting Stain, he does not end up in the hospital with Tenya and Shoto. This, along with All Might and Agent Fowler showing up to check on him, leads to Izuku learning about All for One before the end of internships.
* RoboFamily: The Autobots have the spark twins Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, while the Decepticons have the Seeker trio of Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker. Team Bullet Train from Kimia are all brothers.
* RobotBuddy: Many major human characters gets paired up with their own Cybertronian partner(s).
** Izuku with Bumblebee.
** Kyoka with Jazz.
** Momo with Windblade.
** Tenya with Strongarm.
** Ochako and Arcee.
** Kirishima and Sideswipe.
** Kaminari with Sunstreaker.
** Hatsume with a reluctant Red Alert.
** Mina with Bulkhead.
** Flare Up seems to have formed a bond with Itsuka.
** The Street Action Mini-Con team of Highwire, Sureshock, and Grindor bond with Setsuna, Ibara, and Tetsutetsu, respectively.
* RunningGag:
** EveryoneCanSeeIt: Almost everyone can see the romantic tension between [[TwiceShy Izuku and Kyoka]].
** {{Face Fault}}s: It is also funny when something ridiculous happens and the characters (humans and Autobots alike) usually react in this way.
** {{Jump Scare}}s: It's hilariously common for someone to be surprised by someone else just greeting them at the wrong time.
** Bumblebee usually being involved whenever someone new learns about the existence of Cybertronians.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Arc 1: Bumblebee'']]
* ActuallyPrettyFunny: While trying to find songs for Bumblebee to use, ''[[JustForFun/{{Rickroll}} Never Gonna Give You Up]]'' starts playing. While Bee and Kyoka react with disgust, (with Kyoka complaining that her father slips it into her playlist all the time,) and Mei [[PopCulturalOsmosisFailure doesn't get it]] (even when it's explained to her), Izuku struggles to keep a straight face.
* AbsenceOfEvidence: The government takes notice when they see Bee's holoform and robot mode in the photos of the USJ incident and realize after some digging that no Beetles in Japan are owned by anyone who looks like his holoform, who doesn't have any records.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: Since the story begins during Izuku's cleaning of Dagobah beach, and as such, before he entered UA, several characters appear earlier than they did in canon.
** Mei Hatsume appears in the first chapter, her uncle being a friend of All Might's and a mechanic who helps fix B-127's vehicle form. Canonically she didn't debut until the events of the Sports Festival.
** Kyoka Jiro appears a bit earlier right before the Entrance Exam, instead of the Quirk Apprehension Test.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Despite still being eccentric and a scatterbrain, Mei is a lot nicer here than she was in canon. She offered to help Bumblebee regain his memories while also promising that she won't do anything that he isn't comfortable with. She also considers Izuku and the rest of Class 1-A as her friends.
* AmnesiacResonance: As Bumblebee fought the villains at the USJ with his stingers, he used them as if he knew how to use them on instinct.
* ArcVillain: Shatter and Dropkick are the BigBadDuumvirate of the arc, just as they were in the original ''Bumblebee'' movie.
* BigDamnHeroes:
** Windblade shows up with Bumblebee just in time to help deal with the villain attack at the USJ.
** [[spoiler:A defrosted Optimus]] shows up in time to turn the tide against Shatter and Dropkick.
** In the climax, [[spoiler:All Might shows up ''just'' before Shatter and Dropkick can signal the rest of the Decepticons and destroys their transmitter]].
* DidntThinkThisThrough:
** All Might offers to let Bumblebee stay with him at an isolated residence he owns... and doesn't realize until afterward that that means that Bumblebee will need to be clued in on One For All.
** When Bumblebee moves in, All Might reveals that he installed a TV for him in the garage... and forgot to get a remote that he could operate with his big robot hands.
** Fowler and Burns' superiors decide to temporarily align with Shatter and Dropkick, despite them being ObviouslyEvil, but don't properly prepare for being betrayed. Powell, a big proponent of this course of action, tries to speak up after the inevitable double-cross and gets reduced to paste for his effort.
* HateAtFirstSight: Seeing Bakugo bully Izuku shortly after the Entrance Exam leads to both Kyoka and Bumblebee immediately forming a grudge against him.
* LoveEpiphany: When Bumblebee smashes Izuku and Kyoka into a GroupHug after they see the test results of the U.A. Entrance Exam, Izuku and Kyoka realize they are crushing on each other.
--> '''Kyoka''': (''Thinking'') Damn, who would've guessed that the first REAL guy I start to notice is awkward as hell but is a total cinnamon roll?... Ya know what? I can live with that.\
'''Izuku''': (''Thinking'')…Oh god, I'm crushing on Jiro. …And I'm already starting to panic, nice.
* MythologyGag:
** Like in ''Cyberverse'', Windblade uses a Cortical Psychic Patch and her City Speaker abilities to restore Bumblebee's memories.
** During their arrival to Earth, Bulkhead ends up crash landing on Kaida Kiryu's family pool, just like how Ironhide did so in the 2007 live-action movie.
* ObviouslyEvil: Shatter and Dropkick, natch. Notably, ''no one'' on the side of the government, except [[TooDumbToLive maybe Powell to some degree, which gets him killed]], really believes their story, and only work with them, because they are tracking down Bumblebee/B-127, who the agency believes is a threat, a desire to gain access to their technology, and the belief/hope that their Quirks and tech will be enough to deal with a double-cross, and because they were ordered to do so by the higher-ups for those same reasons. They get called out on it after the inevitable betrayal.
* RedShirt: The Seekers Hotlink, Bitstream, and G2 Sandstorm are only present to be killed by Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Windblade during their introduction.
* ShipTease:
** There's a lot between Midoriya and Jiro.
** There's also a bit of ship tease between B-127/Bumblebee and Arcee.
* ShipperOnDeck:
** Bumblebee and All Might both support Izuku and Kyoka getting together.
** Kyoka ships Bumblebee and Arcee.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Implied with Cliffjumper by the virtue of being AdaptedOut, as the scene in ''Bumblebee'' where he was interrogated and killed by Dropkick and Shatter has him replaced with Windcharger instead in this story.
* TeleFrag: Sector Seven has a Groundbridge device, but they've never been able to get much use of it because of damage that causes this kind of effect on anything sent through it.
* TheUnreveal: It's never made exactly clear how the stasis-locked B-127 ended up on Dagobah Beach. The fact that he was under a tarp implied that he was placed there intentionally, but why and by who is unclear, especially since he looked like a car that is at least 300 years old and would have been worth a lot of money to a collector.
* YouAreNumberSix: Like in the [[Film/{{Bumblebee}} film]], Bumblebee originally went by B-127, the reason being that he wasn't sure what his name should be and went by the number he emerged on.
* TheXenophile: Unsurprisingly, Hatsume is utterly ''fascinated'' by the Cybertronians. She's even the one who came up with the term "Transformer".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Arc 2: Earthrise'']]
* ActuallyPrettyFunny: When Todoroki gives Izuku his canonical question of the latter possibly being All Might's secret love child, an eavesdropping Kyoka and Bakugo struggle to hold in their laughter.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance:
** The meeting between the Autobots and Pro-Heroes sees Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Edgeshot, Crust, Ryukyu, and Gang Orca all make their debuts earlier than in canon.
** Izuku's second costume is first worn [[spoiler:during the mission to rescue Midnight and Bumblebee]], before the Stain arc.
** Mirko shows up to [[spoiler:train Izuku alongside Gran Torino during his internships]]. In canon, she doesn't show up till the Pro Hero Arc.
** Nejire, who first appeared during the Shie Hassaikai arc, first appears here during the Internship Arc when Kaida goes to Ryukyu's agency.
** The Internship Arc also introduces Burnin, who made her canonical debut in the Endeavor Agency Arc.
** The author’s notes at the end of Chapter 58 hints at [[spoiler:Lady Nagant]] coming into play earlier than in canon later on in the story.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Instead of Decepticons like in their debut in ''Prime'', Knock Out and Breakdown (renamed Breakneck here), are neutral Velocitronians like their IDW counterparts.
* AdaptationalModesty: Chapter 21 shows that Momo has been given a new costume by Mei. Instead of a one-piece that shows off her cleavage, she now wears a two-piece costume with shorts and a zip-up sleeveless top, while also exposing her lower back, legs, arms, and midriff. She also receives a portable database in place of her books, allowing her to still access information needed for whatever she needs to make.
* AdaptationalOriginConnection: Marissa Faireborn is a former student of Recovery Girl in this universe.
* AdaptationalVillainy:
** Blastwave was an Autobot bounty hunter in ''Robots in Disguise (2015)''. Here he's a Decepticon through and through.
** Scraphook, Crashbar and Trashmaster from ''[[Toys/TransformersLegacy Legacy]]'' are aligned with the Autobots in the toyline, but here they're the henchmen of rogue Junkion Axlegrease.
* AdaptationNameChange:
** The combined form of the Street Action Mini-Con Team goes from Perceptor (who remains a different robot) to Safeguard.
** Brakedown from ''Cybertron'' and Breakdown from ''Prime'' are renamed Wildbrake and Breakneck, respectively, so they aren't confused with the Stunticon Breakdown.
* AliensOfLondon: Several Cybertronians have accents with little to no explanation; Flatline has a German accent, Blastwave has a Russian accent, Shadow Striker has a French accent, Nightra speaks with a Hispanic accent and even Airazor uses an Egyptian accent.
* AliensStealCable: The Decepticons do this to watch the Sports Festival, even sending the footage to Megatron.
* AntiMagicalFaction: MECH is not only an organisation dedicated to TakingOverTheWorld with the help of advanced technology, but most of its members are composed of [[UnSorcerer Quirkless]] {{Muggles}}.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Optimus figures out that All Might somehow transferred his Quirk to Izuku, simply from context clues and the similarities between One For All and the Matrix of Leadership. He even has a suggestion for how Izuku can solve the issue of hurting himself when he uses his Quirk.
* BadassNormal: Chapter 9 reveals that Fowler is Quirkless. He's still a high-ranking Sector Seven agent with an impressive military career under his belt despite lacking the special powers most of humanity has.
* BecauseDestinySaysSo: After [[spoiler: Itsuka]] meets Flare-Up and [[spoiler: Setsuna, Tetsutetsu, and Ibara]] bond with the Street-Action Mini-Cons, Mina suggests that it was fated for them to find out about the Autobots. When Momo expresses skepticism about that, Mina points out that she managed to correctly guess that alien robots had come to Earth after the meteor shower.
* BelligerentSexualTension: Ochako, Momo, and Mina all believe this is happening between Sideswipe and Strongarm. Practically ''everyone else'' present doubts it.
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:Jetfire]] shows up on time to assist the heroes in the battle on the Rocky mountains.
* BothSidesHaveAPoint: [[spoiler:Both Kyoka and the heroes at Snake Eyes' agency weren't wrong with what they did. Kyoka didn't need to use her internship to spy on well-trained heroes, while the Snake Eyes' agency heroes should've been more forthcoming with her. Fowler points this out with everyone acknowledging and moving past it.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: When in panel form, Mini-Cons are vulnerable to being reprogrammed, allowing the Decepticons to reprogram any they capture in such a state. This happened to the Air Defense Team off-screen, who now call themselves the Air ''Assault'' Team.
* TheCameo:
** Chapter 16 has brief appearances by Railspike, Hardhead, and Highbrow among the Autobot forces stationed at Kimia and at the Freezon system.
** Chapter 65 briefly features Crasher, Heatseeker, Skidmark and Swerve.
* CassandraTruth: No one Mina tries to convince about her theory on alien robots that isn't in the know already believes her.
* CourteousCanadian: Starscream decides to park the Darksyde in the middle of the Canadian wilderness for easy access to energon. He quickly grows annoyed by the locals friendliness and accents.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: In most continuities Thundercracker and Skywarp are simply {{Palette Swap}}s of Starscream with the same alt mode, but here both of them choose different, albeit similar, fighter jet models to be their alt modes.
* TheDreaded:
** [[AsskickingLeadsToLeadership Megatron]], [[TheSpymaster Soundwave]], and [[MadScientist Shockwave]] are viewed as this by the Autobots. Megatron, especially so, as his own troops share this sentiment. While [[TheStarscream Starscream]] is part of the eponymous Decepticon group "The Big Four" he is not respected by his own crew and enemies as much as the aforementioned three. If anything his position as "Second-In-Command" makes him a part of said group.
** Soundwave and his group are this to Starscream. Even more so since they are Megatron's Away Team.
** The [[MetalMuncher Scraplets]] are this for Cybertronians due to their hunger for all things metal. Red Alert even refers to them as the vermin of Cybertron.
* {{Expy}}:
** The writer states that while Starscream is heavily based on his G1 and Prime incarnations, some of his behavior is borrowed from [[WesternAnimation/KimPossible Dr. Drakken]]. Fittingly, Starscream has his own Shego in the form of Swift.
** Meanwhile, Flatline and Blastwave are based off of [[VideoGame/TeamFortress2 The Medic and Heavy]] respectively. The latter also has Breakdown's rivalry with Bulkhead from ''Prime''.
** The Author even imagines the [=VAs=] for the characters: Creator/JohnDimaggio (Starscream), Creator/NicoleSullivan (Swift), Creator/RobinAtkinDownes (Flatline), and Gary Schwartz (Blastwave) voicing the characters.
** LOTS introduced in Chapter 16, all to ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'' characters, ''to the point they share the same voice actors!'' Skywarp (Reaper), Shadow Striker (Widowmaker), Nightra (Sombra), and Apelinq (Winston).
*** Flare Up is clearly based on Tracer, complete with similar powers.
*** Airazor is based on Pharah, complete with an Egyptian Accent, and even fired off her Ultimate move at Skywarp.
*** Dai Atlas is acknowledged as an analogue of Zenyatta, even having his GoldenSuperMode.
*** Chapters 63 and 64 continue the trend with Glyph (Mei), Botanica (Symmetra), Axlegrease (Junker Queen), Crashbar (Junkrat) and Scraphook (Roadhog).
** Blurr has elements of Sonic the Hedgehog and Moonracer of Amy Rose.
** The Avatar Rangers are based entirely on the ''Series/AvataroSentaiDonbrothers'' series. This is acknowledged InUniverse as to where the Hero team got the inspiration for their theme.
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: Chapter 32 reveals that Kaida and Shoto went to middle school together, with Shoto even telling Kaida about his childhood.
* EyeTwitch: Starscream lets out one after being informed by Swift that their wrecked probe is the only one that they had. He later does it again when [[spoiler: the 1-B students]] and Flare Up escape with the Mini-Cons and he blasts into the air in frustration... only for a charred bird to land on his head.
* ForScience: Flatline's motivation, for which he's done a ''lot'' of nasty shit. It's pretty telling that even ''he'' seems to agree that Shockwave is ''worse'' than he is.
* GenderFlip:
** Runway of the Mini-Con Assault Team is female instead of male.
** Swoop of the Dinobots is offhandedly referred to as female, just like her ''Cyberverse'' incarnation.
* HateAtFirstSight: During the Autobots' meeting with the Pro-Heroes, [[{{Jerkass}} Endeavor's]] [[HairTriggerTemper attitude]] does not endear him to many, Kyoka in particular taking an instant dislike to him. Learning about how [[AbusiveParents he treated Todoroki and his family]] causes her hatred of him to increase.
* IHaveYourWife: Swindle and MECH [[ParentsInDistress kidnap both Izuku and Kyoka's parents]] as well as Momo in exchange for ransom as well as revenge for Swindle on them destroying his ship and merchandise.
* TheInfiltration: [[spoiler:Kyoka plans to infiltrate Snake Eyes' Hero Agency to find out whether or not he's a hero or a villain due to him being an unknown hero. If he's a hero then she gets to learn from him, but if he's a villain then she can warn U.A. about him.]]
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite learning Full Cowling before the Sports Festival, Izuku ends up needing surgery on his arms after using too many powerful attacks repeatedly, though this comes from fighting [[spoiler:Bakugo]] instead of Shoto.
* InternalReveal:
** [[spoiler:Bakugo's bullying past is brought to light after his match against Kaida at the Sports Festival.]]
** [[spoiler:Chapter 35 has All Might reveal his condition to the other Autobots and their human allies (except Tenya), as well as training Izuku to be his successor, though he leaves out the details of One for All and All for One.]]
** [[spoiler:Chapter 52 has Tsukauchi learning about the Autobots, and Optimus is told about All for One.]]
* IResembleThatRemark: When Ibara points out that Tetsutetsu and Kirishima are a lot more alike than they like to admit, especially when it comes to hard-headedness, both boys reject it... at the same time and use the same words.
* ItsPersonal: For kidnapping their parents and their friend, Momo, Swindle has made it personal for Izuku and Kyoka, with the latter even lampshading this.
* JustAMachine: When the Vehicons attack, the kids assume they are drones, and only learn that they're as sapient as other Cybertronians ''after'' they kill one.
* LegacyHero:
** As always, All Might and Izuku are the Eighth and Ninth wielders of the Quirk, One For All.
** Like almost all of his incarnations, Optimus Prime is the current wielder of the Matrix of Leadership.
** [[spoiler: Makenzie Ito is the second Quick Kick after her deceased father, [=MacArthur=] S.Ito, the original Quick Kick.]]
* LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain: Starscream, after what happened with the rescue mission, is taking this attitude towards these events.
* ManySpiritsInsideOfOne: [[spoiler:Like in canon, the vestiges of One For All helped in breaking Izuku out of Shinso's [[CompellingVoice Brainwashing]] Quirk. Only this time, there weren't just nine, but '''Ten''' vestiges; with the tenth vestige being much larger than the others, resembling a Cybertronian, and having glowing red eyes.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: During the Vehicon attack, the kids manage to eliminate one of the attackers themselves, assuming [[JustAMachine it to be a drone]]. Back at the Autobot base, they are understandably horrified to learn that they just killed a sapient being.
* MythologyGag:
** When Jazz says to Class 1-A "Paint me yellow and black and call me Jackpot" references how Jackpot's ''War for Cybertron: Kingdom'' figure is a repaint and retool of ''Studio Series 86'' Jazz.
** The name of Starscream's ship The Darksyde is a reference to the Predacon ship from ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars''.
** Red Alert barely stops himself from saying "I needed that!" to Bulkhead, which was Ratchet's catchphrase in ''Prime''.
** The friendship between Apelinq and Flare Up references their relationship in the ''Wings'' Universe.
** During the Sports Festival, Izuku debuts a new move called Iacon Smash, named after the Cybertronian City in honor of Optimus. The move itself is one where he brings his fists together to unleash a powerful swing, reminiscent of the same move Optimus used to finish Megatron in their [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie fight at Autobot City.]]
** When Bumblebee starts his engines to drive Izuku to Gran Tornio's Hero Agency, the Autobot exclaims through his radio "Let's rev up and roll out"; a catchphrase he starts using in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersRobotsInDisguise2015''.
** Jazz demonstrates to Kyoka that Cybertronians can change their paintjobs for different planets at will by turning into a garish neon orange and red, referencing Jazz's unproduced G2 toy which would eventually debut in the ''Legacy'' toyline.
** Mina uses Rattrap's catchphrase "We're all gonna die." when she, Ejiro, and Tetsutetsu sees Crust's training room.
** When [[spoiler:Shipwreck]] uses [[spoiler:G.I. Joe's]] classical catchphrase of "AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle", Kyouka compares it to something a Saturday Morning Cartoon would say.
** Drill Bit becoming Swift's partner, references how he was ''Armada'' Cyclonus' Mini-con partner, since both turn into helicopters.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: The fact that there's a Decepticon general named ''Unicronus'', after the Cybertronian GodOfEvil, should send alarm bells down the spines of savvy readers.
* TheNeidermeyer: Starscream is this to his team as his troops seem to respect him as much as he does for them.
* [[spoiler:NinjaSchool: The Snake Eyes Hero Agency is this as Jinx reveals to Kyoka in Chapter 46.]]
* OhCrap:
** Arcee's reaction upon Mina spotting two Vehicons in Chapter 4.
** In the following chapter the Autobots have the same reaction upon learning the Vehicons were troops under [[TheDragon Starscream's]] command.
** The Autobots' very justifiable reaction to seeing Kaminari holding a Scraplet in Chapter 12.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Kyoka hasn't really forgotten about how Sector Seven tried to arrest them and nearly doom the Earth to a Decepticon invasion by giving Shatter and Dropkick the means to create a beacon to contact Megatron and she let's Fowler and Burns know it. Though it eventually gets dropped after Burns saved Kyoka from getting killed by Skywarp and Kyoka apologizes for constantly antagonizing them.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Apparently, Megatron spends most of his time on his throne on Cybertron, refusing to expand the Decepticon empire until Optimus is confirmed dead. It's something that bugs Starscream to no end.
* OutOfFocus: Aside from their first appearance in the ''Bumblebee'' Arc, the League of Villains don't show up for a majority of the ''Earthrise'' Arc.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Izuku calls out Bakugo hugely during the Sports Festival finals, ripping into him for his bullying actions and massive ego.
--> '''Izuku''': Tell me, what could you POSSIBLY do to me that you haven't done already, Kacchan?! You've done ''nothing'' but bully, belittle, and look down on me since kindergarten, while I've done pretty much the exact opposite for all my life! To tell you the truth, when you got your Quirk and I didn't, I admired you so damn much...while also feeling a bit jealous, I'll admit. But then, when I finally discovered my Quirk, I realized something; I could finally be LIKE you. ''I'' could be strong, I could be a hero...and then maybe we'd finally be on even footing. But if these finals have told me anything...it's that you still think yourself as superior to others. You're at the center of your own universe while you look down on EVERYONE else, seeing them as nothing but stepping stones on your way to the top. Well guess what, I'm not gonna be like that! My dream is the same as yours; to be Number One! And I am NOT gonna let you walk over me and trample that dream!
* RealNameAsAnAlias: Optimus uses his original name of "Orion Pax" as an alias in holomatter form.
* RecurringElement: The author's previous work also [[spoiler:introduced a third franchise with a common connection into the mix (Generator Rex for Ben 10 RWBY, since both Rex and Ben did crossover at one point)]]. Here, [[spoiler:the forces of Franchise/GIJoe join the battle alongside the Autobots and the students of U.A., and the Joes have had ''many'' crossovers with the Cybertronians all the way from their earliest days]].
* RemovingTheRival: When Megatron hears about the League of Villains, he plans to meet and kill their leader so that the rest of the League have no choice but to follow him instead.
* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated:
** The Autobots were shocked to see that [[spoiler:Sky-Byte]] is alive after he was presumed dead in a supernova explosion.
** And a more positive note, [[spoiler:Jetfire]] is shown to also be alive to lend the heroes a hand against the Decepticons in the battle on the Rocky mountains.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: Jazz, who's already anxious because of the Scraplets, does this in Chapter 13 after the lights go out, to the surprise and amusement of Iida, Kyoka, and Strongarm.
* ShoutOut:
** To stop a [[spoiler:rampaging Kaida (who has fully transformed into a triceratops and lost control)]], Kentaro's battle cry as he transforms into a mammoth is the sound effects of Series/KamenRiderRevice's mammoth transformation.
** Itsuka Kendo works part time at a [[Literature/TheDevilIsAPartTimer McRonald's]].
** Mei replaces the hood of Izuku's Beta costume with a CoolHelmet that resembles Franchise/KamenRider, along with a red scarf Momo created upon Kyoka's request.
** Arcee says Alpha Trion's quill [[Film/IndianaJonesAndTheLastCrusade belongs in a museum]] when Swindle tries to sell it to her and Flare Up.
** During a discussion about Izuku and Kyoka's relationship, Momo declares that it's too soon for marriage, and then Arcee asks if [[Manga/DragonBall marriage is some sort of human delicacy]].
* TheStarscream: Unsurprisingly, Starscream wants to usurp Megatron. His ire is mostly directed at Megatron's refusal to create an empire while Optimus is still alive. He even proposes an alliance with Prime who refuses, believing a Cybertron ruled by Starscream would be worse than one ruled by Megatron.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork:
** Both Starscream and Unicronus are CoDragons of the Darksyde and really can't stand working with each other.
** Silas and Prometheus Black are allies, but the former doesn't personally like the latter at all, and the latter ''knows'' it and plays it up to mess with him.
* TheTapeKnewYouWouldSayThat: Maccadam's precognitive abilities are powerful enough that he can leave a recorded message for Optimus next to Roller's Mini-Con panel and have it match with what Optimus is saying like he's actually there.
* ThisCannotBe: The Decepticons, especially Megatron and Starscream, are briefly baffled and incredulous that organic beings managed to eliminate a Cybertronian, even a [[{{Mooks}} Vehicon]].
* TokenGoodTeammate: Thundercracker is shaping out to be this among the Decepticons present. He has no interest in hurting humans and has doubts about the cause. However, his loyalty to his brothers (Starscream and Skywarp) is the reason he remains with the Cons.
* TownGirls:
** Among the female Autobots, Arcee is the femme, Strongarm is the butch, and Windblade is the Neither.
** Among the female Decepticons, Swift is the femme, Nightra is the butch, and Shadow Striker is the Neither.
** Of the three 1-B Class girls [[spoiler:who find out about the Cybertronians]], Itsuka is the butch, Ibara is the femme, and Setsuna the neither.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Starscream initially assumes that All Might will be easy to defeat. Cue the Decepticon getting his ass handed to him.
* VillainTakesAnInterest: Megatron becomes intrigued upon seeing Bakugo during the Sports Festival.
* VillainTeamUp: By the end of Chapter 66, Swindle and Skullcruncher team up with MECH to get revenge on the U.A. students for stranding them in exchange for MECH getting the Autobots to experiment on.
* WhamLine: Chapter 41 has Kyoka receiving an internship offer from a hero she's never heard of before. Who it is, is a huge surprise.
--> '''Kyoka''': Just who are you...[[spoiler:[[Franchise/GIJoe Snake-Eyes?]]]]
* WholePlotReference: Chapter 16 is one to two of the ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'' animated shorts, "Recall" and "Infiltration".
* WildCard: During the Sports Festival Skywarp notes that Bakugo's attitude and aggressiveness would make him a perfect fit for the Decepticons. Starscream then notes that while possible, Bakugo's temper and Quirk would also make him liable to be a loose cannon.
* WorfHadTheFlu: While Starscream and Barricade manage to give Optimus a hard time, it's only because Prime still hasn't fully recovered from his time in stasis.
