''Hero: The Guardian Smurf'' is a fanfiction series created by Fandom user A Heroic Smurf, which appears on the Smurfs Fanon Wiki. The list of his work, both completed and future projects, is shown [[https://smurfsfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Hero%3A_The_Guardian_Smurf_(Series) here]].

In the series, a young Smurf named Hero found seven Power Stones, which together gave him great Ki abilities. Unfortunately, as a Smurfling, Hero was not able to control these powers and had nearly killed a Smurf due to that loss of control. Exiled from the village for 100 years in order to gain better control over these new powers, Hero returns at the time when the Smurfs first meet Gargamel in the forest and rejoins them as one of their members.

The author is also working on a spinoff series called ''The Other World'', recounting stories of the time when Hero was in exile from the Smurf Village.

!!This series provides the following examples of:

* AndNowYouMustMarryMe: In the adaptation of "The Smurf Menace", when the Gray Smurfs capture the normal Smurfs, the Great Chief has normal Smurfette and normal Wonder marry Gray Hero in exchange for mercy to be shown upon the normal Smurfs. However, the normal Smurfs foil this plan and make the Gray Smurfs disappear back into nothingness with the antidote Papa Smurf created.
* AttemptedRape: Smurfette in her love-crazed state attempted to sexually assault Hero, but she was led to a Hero sex doll to expend her sexual energy upon in order to return her to normal, thus sparing Hero from violating his marital covenant with Wonder.
* BraveScot: Fergus [=MacSmurf=], created as the series' analog to ''Film/TheSmurfs'' film series' Gutsy Smurf.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: In "Smurfette's Crazy Love", due to a combination of Smurfette's uncontrolled infatuation with Hero and Hero's own powers, Smurfette starts developing breasts and is in a passionate desire to mate with Hero. After her sexual energy has been expended, though, Smurfette still has her breasts and decides to keep them.
* ChristmasEpisode: ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfsAChristmasCarol'' is adapted into the series as its Christmas Episode, with Wonder Smurfette playing the Smurf of Christmas Past and Hero playing the Smurf of Christmas Future. A musical number is also included in which Smurfette sings to Grouchy about the joys of Christmas.
* DeliveryStork: Played straight in the series except in the case of Hero's two children Saviour and Miracle, who are both born physically through their mothers Wonder and Smurfette through a GRatedSex fertility blessing given to them by Mother Nature.
* DepravedBisexual: Gray Smurfette and Gray Wonder in the adaptation of "The Smurf Menace" are both this who are also both married to Gray Hero, and even go so far as to try forcing themselves on normal Smurfette and normal Wonder when the normal Smurfs are held captive by the Gray Smurfs.
* DistaffCounterpart: Wonder Smurfette is this to Hero, although she does not have the same type of powers that he has.
* DrivenToSuicide: In a mini-story, following Wonder's death, Hero was compelled to commit suicide to join his wife in the "smurfy hereafter" when the Smurfs intervene and talk him down from it.
* EroticDream: Smurfette has one of her with Hero in a loincloth while Hero is married to Wonder in "Smurfette's Crazy Love".
* EvilCostumeSwitch: In "The Dark Hero", when Hero is changed into his un-Smurfy self via Gargamel's spell that was originally intended to revert Smurfette back to her old self, his gold-colored clothes change to complete black.
* EvilTwin: In "The Smurf Menace" adaptation, Hero, Wonder, Hawkeye, Abloec, and Dempsey also have evil Gray Smurf counterparts. Gray Hero notably wears a silver hat and pants as opposed to normal Hero's gold-colored clothes.
* TheExile: Hero during 100 years of his life, from the time he lost control of his Ki ability powers to the time he returned to the Smurf Village, when the Smurfs first met Gargamel. A spinoff series called ''The Other World'' is supposed to tell of what happened during the years that Hero had spent outside the Smurf Village.
* {{Expy}}:
** Hero himself is one for Goku of the ''Dragonball'' franchise, with elements of ''Sonic The Hedgehog''. His Gray Smurf counterpart is one for Vegeta.
** Wonder Smurfette is one for Wonder Woman of DC Comics.
** Hawkeye Smurf is one for Hawkeye of Marvel Comics' ''The Avengers''.
* FirstGirlWins: Smurfette is Hero's {{first love}}, but Wonder becomes Hero's first wife until she passes away. Smurfette, having saved herself for Hero, becomes Hero's second and final wife, staying with him until he passes away.
* GiveAwayTheBride: In the story "Hero's Wedding", Hero's friend Fergus [=MacSmurf=] gives away Hero's SecondLove and OppositeSexClone Wonder Smurfette away to Hero at their wedding together.
* GoldColoredSuperiority: Hero ends up wearing gold-colored clothes, but otherwise acts like he's one of the members of the Smurf Village in a position of equal standing among them instead of with Papa Smurf.
* GRatedSex: Although the male and female Smurfs in this series do have what is called "[[UnusualEuphemism getting under one's hat]]," reproduction is still handled through mystical means, such as a DeliveryStork for much of Hero's generation of Smurfs as well as for Baby Smurf, and also [[MysticalPregnancy a mystical union blessing by Mother Nature for when Wonder and Smurfette both undergo physical pregnancy]] to birth their children from Hero.
* HalloweenEpisode: ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfsTheLegendOfSmurfyHollow'' is adapted into the series as its Halloween Episode, with various character substitutions in the story.
* IllBeInMyBunk: In the mini-story "Smurfette's Artistry", after spending time doing a nude painting of Hero (who at the time was married to Wonder), Smurfette decides to spend some time alone with her new painting in her bedroom, alluding to enjoying herself privately.
* MarkOfTheSupernatural: The title character has a yellow H on his forehead, indicating that he is the bearer of Ki powers that he gained from contact with the Power Stones. His OppositeSexClone and wife Wonder, as well as his two daughters, also bear the same mark.
* MateOrDie: In "Smurfette's Crazy Love", Smurfette is so hormonally driven to Hero during the time he was married to Wonder that she has to mate with him or else she will die. The Smurfs trick Smurfette into mating with a Hero Smurf sex doll so that Hero would not be violated and that he would not break his marital vow to Wonder.
* MysticalPregnancy: Hero's wives in two separate marriages, Wonder and Smurfette, were given fertility blessings by Mother Nature that resulted in them bearing two of Hero's daughters, Saviour and Miracle, since the Smurfs themselves, although capable of sexual intercourse, were unable to have children other than through that and the usual mainstream canon's DeliveryStork method.
* OhCrapThereAreFanficsOfUs: Dreamy creates one which he shows to his fellow Smurfs, which is basically an adaptation of ''WesternAnimation/SmurfsTheLostVillage'' featuring Hero and Wonder.
* OppositeSexClone: Wonder is one of Hero who was created with the magical Mirror of Opposition when lightning struck it, thus creating a second adult female Smurf in the village besides Smurfette. The village eventually gets populated by a bunch of female Smurfs created in this fashion, whom most of the Smurfs end up marrying with the exception of Abloec, who marries the former Smurf vampire daughter Serana Smurfette.
* OriginalCharacter: Besides Hero, there are Abloec (a Welsh-accented Smurf who is a Christian), Edward Smurftofen (a German-accented Smurf with schizophrenia), Nikloai Smurfeski (a Russian-accented Smurf who is TheBartender), and Takeo Smurfaki (a Japanese-accented Smurf).
* PatchworkFic: Mostly based on [[WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs1981 the 1980s cartoon show interpretation]], but also incorporating elements, characters, and storylines from [[ComicBook/TheSmurfs the comic books]], [[Film/TheSmurfs the Sony Pictures' live-action film series]], and ''WesternAnimation/SmurfsTheLostVillage''.
* {{Polyamory}}: Gray Hero is a polyamorist, married to both Gray Smurfette and Gray Wonder. Normal Hero, however, sticks to only one bride at a time, marrying Wonder first and then marrying Smurfette years later after his first wife passes away.
* RecycledInSpace: The series is ''Fanfic/EmpathTheLuckiestSmurf'' [-WITH GOKU FROM-] ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' [-AS A SMURF!-]
* SadisticChoice: In "Hero's Wedding", when Chlorhydris kidnaps both Wonder and Smurfette on Hero's first wedding day, Hero has to choose which of the two Smurfettes he should save, since Chlorhydris tells Hero that he can only save one while the other will be given the Ice Wand treatment. Fortunately both Smurfettes are spared as Hero's friend Hawkeye fires an arrow that unlocks Smurfette's cage, causing her to run and hide for safety while Hero focuses his efforts on rescuing Wonder.
* ScreamingBirth: Both Wonder and Smurfette undergo this in the births of their respective children, Saviour and Miracle.
* ScrewYourself: Hero and Wonder's relationship is this, since Wonder is both Hero's female duplicate and his wife.
* SecondLove: Smurfette was Hero's first and OneTrueLove. Then came Wonder, his OppositeSexClone, whom he also fell in love with and married, leaving Smurfette feeling jilted and, at one point, hungry for sexual intercourse with Hero. However, since Smurfette can only see herself being happy with Hero as her OneTrueLove, she remained a virgin and unmarried up to her old age, when Wonder passed away and Hero, finding himself lonely and suicidal, ends up falling in love with and marrying Smurfette, giving her a child after years of being denied any pleasure from him through a MysticalPregnancy fertility blessing by Mother Nature.
* SexIsGood: The Smurfs in this series don't seem to have a problem with sex, as long as its participants are married. The only downside (or perhaps upside, depending on your point of view) is that they can't use sex for procreation... at least, not yet, according to what Mother Nature says in a mini-story regarding the issue.
* SinisterMinister: Gray Abloec in the eyes of his normal counterpart, the former of which sees nothing wrong with Gray Hero's relationship with Gray Smurfette and Gray Wonder as well as the two Smurfettes expressing their love for each other.
* [[ManInAKilt Smurf In A Kilt]]: Fergus [=MacSmurf=] is the prime example. Hero and Hawkeye also dress in kilts during Hero's marriages to both Wonder and Smurfette.
* AThreesomeIsHot: In the adaptation of "The Smurf Menace", Hero's Gray Smurf counterpart is married to both Gray Smurfette and Gray Wonder at the same time, who not only love Gray Hero but also [[DepravedBisexual each other]].
* WeCanRuleTogether: In the "King Smurf" adaptation from the cartoon show, Brainy tempts Smurfette with the possibility of her being his queen and ruling beside him over the Smurf Village together. She rejects and joins the rebels.
* WeddingEpisode: "Hero's Wedding" has Hero marry his OppositeSexClone and SecondLove Wonder Smurfette — which makes Smurfette, his first love, jealous and going through the same situation as her cartoon show counterpart did in ''WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs1981'' special "Smurfily Ever After", trying to imagine herself with another Smurf as her husband. The wedding gets crashed before it happens when Hogatha and Chlorhydris have both Wonder and Smurfette kidnapped, but Hero with the help of Hawkeye rescues them both from the evil witches' grasp and proceeds with the wedding. Smurfette does get married to Hero years later after Wonder dies in a mini-story.
* WeddingsForEveryone: The series has a wedding day for all the Smurfs that had OppositeSexClone love interests they wanted to marry (except for Hero and Wonder, who were previously married) in order to satisfy the Smurfs who wanted to consummate their love with their love interests and keep things honest and legal.
* WeddingSmashers: Hogatha and Chlorhydris team up together to disrupt the wedding of Hero and Wonder by having both Wonder and Smurfette kidnapped and held prisoner together, and also forcing Hero to make a SadisticChoice of who to save, which was averted with the help of his friend Hawkeye.
