5EA Gothenburg (known as Ghost Games from 2012 to 2020) is a Swedish video game developer based in Gothenburg and owned by Creator/ElectronicArts, with additional studios in Guildford, England and Bucharest, Romania. They were established in 2011 as EA Gothenburg before being renamed to Ghost Games on 15 November 2012. The studio, which includes employees who were formerly from Creator/{{DICE}}, [[Creator/BlackBox EA Black Box]], Creator/CriterionGames, and Creator/PlaygroundGames, were the overseers of the ''VideoGame/NeedForSpeed'' franchise from [[MediaNotes/TheEighthGenerationOfConsoleVideoGames 2013 to 2020]], using DICE's [[MediaNotes/GameEngine Frostbite Engine]] in their games.

7In February 2020, EA announced that they would return Ghost Games to an engineering support studio for the company. They've renamed it back to EA Gothenburg (after having cleared government approvals) and returned the ''Need for Speed'' license to Criterion.
