5John Uhler "Jack" Lemmon III (February 8, 1925 – June 27, 2001) was an American actor whose career spanned acrosss six decades and earned him eight UsefulNotes/AcademyAward nominations (including two wins), in the process making him the first person to win both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.

7Lemmon was married twice (to Cynthia Stone from 1950 to 1956, to Felicia Farr from 1962 to his death) and had two children, including Creator/ChrisLemmon. Creator/SydneyLemmon is his granddaughter.
