4	''Peculia'' is a comic series written and drawn by Richard Sala. It is a spin-off of his original 12-issue series ''Evil Eye''.

16	* AnyoneCanDie: Well save for Peculia and her short list of recurring characters. Otherwise any new characters she runs into doesn't have a high chance of surviving.

18	* CreepyChild: One issue had Peculia run into a young neighbor of hers who overly cheery. The girl invites her to her house where Peculia finds the remains of the girl's parents. Without even dropping her nice tone, the girl admits she was the one who killed them. On yeah did I mention this girl can wield a shotgun too and her house sits on the edge of a cliff?

33	* BigDamnHeroes: The Gypsy woman from the beginning of the story. She and George arrive just in time as the newly vamped babysitters had cornered Peculia.

37	* CreepyDoll: The room of Wren's charge, Frederika, is filled with them, some as if they're really looking at her. Not helped that the room is darkened. Wren naturally becomes unnerved when she loses track of Frederika in the room.
38	* EnemyRisingBehind: One of the sitters, Wren, is left in a nursery and seems to lose track of her charge, Frederika. Frederika appears behind her without being noticed and floats toward Wren before grabbing her, lifting Wren off her feet and feeding on her.

40	* EvilLaugh: Frederika does this after biting Wren, taking some of her blood, then letting her lifeless body drop to the floor with a audible meaty thud.

Nicola is the most benign, simply a wild glare and protruding fangs (though she gets a feral look when she hisses at George who stumbles upon her feeding on Honor). Frederika, however, starts off normal albeit creepy (Black rings around her eyes being the most notable thing). Once Wren and she are alone and she manages to bite her, her facial features turn darker, more sunken and aged.

While waiting for nightfall, Nicola bewitches them under the guise of talking about her travels. By the time she releases them, they don't know where the time went or what happened but Peculia, who wasn't affected, is more than happy to inform them.
