Starfire is a Creator/DCComics comic book series and part of the ComicBook/DCYou initiative. It stars the eponymous alien superheroine ComicBook/Starfire in her first solo series, from the same team behind the ComicBook/HarleyQuinn and ComicBook/PowerGirl comics series, co-writers Creator/JimmyPalmiotti and Creator/AmandaConner. with artist Creator/ChadHardin for issue 1 to 8, and Creator/ElsaCharretier for issue 9 to 12.

Despite having lived on Earth for a little while now, Koriand'r, also known as Starfire, realizes she doesn't actually know much about Earth or its inhabitants. So after a little advice from ComicBook/Superman, Kori decides to move to Key West, Florida. With the help of Police Chief Stella Gomez, her brother Sol, and various locales Kori begins her peaceful learning adventure, but trouble is never far away.

Sadly ended after 12 issues, debuting in August 2015 and concluding in July, 2016. Chronologically, the series takes place after Starfire's appearance in ComicBook/RedHoodAndTheOutlaws in the ComicBook/New52, but very little from that series is carried over or acknowledged and this run can be picked up even by people without any prior knowledge about Starfire, being more of a SliceOfLife than the usual comicbook superheroics. After this series, Starfire went on to join a new interaction of the ComicBook/TeenTitans as part of ComicBook/DCRebirth, called ComicBook/TeenTitansRebirth.

!Tropes

* AbortedArc: Pretty much all of them set up early in the run were abandoned to make way for ComicBook/DCRebirth.
* AbhorrentAdmirer: Choor, one of the Strata aliens is this to Starfire, Stella and Atlee, as he constantly hits on them hoping to get lucky but they just rebuff him.
* ActionGirl: This obviously applies to superheroines Starfire and Atlee, but Sheriff Gomez is actually pretty good at fights herself (although obviously limited by being a normal cop in the DC universe) and gets to beat a pair of robbers with her bare hands.
* AdaptationNameChange: As noted under "AdaptationSpeciesChange", Silkie's name was modified to "Syl'Khee" to reflect the change to an alien creature.
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: CanonImmigrant Silkie was reimagined from a mutated silkworm to a native Tamaranean creature named "Syl'Khee".
* AlienAmongUs: Starfire's objective is to culturally assimilate into human society, but she doesn't really try to pass off as a human. Yet despite her bright orange skin and FlamingHair quite a few citizens seem to mistake her for a human girl with an exotic tan.
* AlienBlood: Kragg Gorn Kee bleeds a purple liquid from his mouth after getting kicked by Starfire.
* AllMenArePerverts: When Stella admonishes Starfire for SkinnyDipping in the pool, When Starfire claims she has permission to go SkinnyDipping on Stella's pool, Stella immediately Facepalms and correctly assumes it was Sol who gave her permission.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Stella and Raveena have dark skin tones but their ethnicity is never specified. Given her surname and use of GratuitousSpanish it's safe to assume Stella is Latina, although her brother Sol has a much lighter skin tone than her.
* AmicableExes: While they still have some UnresolvedSexualTension and share a kiss, Starfire and Dick still get along quite well, and neither is particularly hurt when they agree to remain BetterAsFriends.
* AmusingAlien
** Starfire being a FishOutOfWater alien is a frequent source of humor in the story.
** Many of the Strata aliens have BizarreAlienBiology that gets PlayedForLaughs, such as Choor, an alien that only lives for 2 days and becomes pregnant just by Starfire rubbing his head and gives birth to a bunch of tiny furballs.
* ArcVillain: King Neala-Tok for the Strata arc, a banished member of the royal Strata who returns to conquer it by force. He's also the one behind the Chida monster sent after Atlee.
* ArtShift: Issue #9 welcomes a new artist.
* BathingBeauty: Starfire mentions she loves showering and bathing, as she likes the feel of water on her heated skin.
* BigDamnKiss: Issue #7 ends with a SplashPanel of Dick and Starfire kissing.
* BigSisterInstinct: Stella is very protective of Sol, and personally rushes to his rescue when she hears he's trapped in the ocean when the hurricane hits town.
* BigStormEpisode: The first two issues have a big hurricane hitting the city, with Starfire assisting Stella rescuing her brother who got stuck in the ocean trying to rescue other people. The storm also ends up creating a hole in the ground that frees the Chida monster that had been BuriedAlive by Atlee before the series started. Starfire and Atlee deal with him by burying him alive again, this time deep in the ocean.
* BoobBasedGag: Starfire's buxomness and men's fixation on it are PlayedForLaughs a couple of times
-->Stella: [after Starfire wears her office shirt with a NavelDeepNeckline] I swear, what is with you trying to release the hounds all the time?\
Starfire: Hounds?\
Stella: Kori, your boobs. They have a IHaveBoobsYouMustObey certain power here on our planet. They make men act stupid.\
Starfire: How can I make men act smarter?\
Stella: Just by covering them.\
Starfire: The men or the boobs?
* BookDumb: Despite her FishOutOfWater status being greatly exaggerated, Starfire still shows a surprising amount of emotional intelligence when dealing with Sol, such as immediately figuring out his brooding ways are due to him experiencing loss and giving him space instead of nagging him to move on like everyone else does.
* BountyHunter: Kragg Gorn Kee is a famous interstellar bounty hunter, whom Blackfire hires to track down her sister. When the Citadel finds out, they try to hire him themselves so he can kill Starfire instead, but Kragg is actually too professional to betray his client and refuses, but they force his hand when they reveal they IHaveYourWife kidnap his family.
* BuriedAlive: Atlee dealt with the Chida monster by burying him under the earth before the series started. It gets freed when the hurricanes hit the town, but she manages to beat it for good with Starfire's help.
* TheBusCameBack: After being missing for a while since the end of the Connor/Palmiotti run, Terra III / Atlee makes her return in issue 3, having apparently been living in Key West for quite some time. Starfire just happens to be dining at her restaurant when she's attacked by the Chida, and the two fight it off together and quickly become friends.
* CanonImmigrant: Silkie, Starfire's pet alien from the WesternAnimation/TeenTitans cartoon makes his comic debut in this comic. Though with a new name, Syl'Khee, and Origin, a type of rare, extremely intelligent animal from Tamaran called a Khee. They sometimes choose a special Tamaranian to bond with.
* CanonDiscontinuity: This series does not seem to acknowledge anything from her appearance on ComicBook/RedHoodAndTheOutlaws other than the Retcons to her backstory (The Tamarians were a peaceful race instead of warriors, Blackfire loving her sister and being coerced into making her slave instead of conspiring against her). It also seems to incorporate her romantic history with Dick Grayson.
* CasanovaWannabe: Strata alien Choor is extremely confident while hitting on Stella, Starfire and Atlee, despite the fact they want nothing to do with him. Trope since Atlee says his race only lives for two days, so they're usually desperate for sex. He brags to Stella he's a SexGod that will "redefine her ideas of pleasure" only to immediately orgasm upon getting a head pat by Starfire.
* CharacterExaggeration: Starfire's FishOutOfWater status is taken up to eleven, with her being unfamiliar with the most basic human terms and being extremely LiteralMinded. While this is supposed to be PlayedForLaughs, it has the unintentional effect of making it seems like she's simply a BrainlessBeauty, rather than an alien warrior suffering from CultureClash.
* ClingyJealousGirl:
** Boone's girlfriend, Vita is extremely upset at the attention he gives Starfire. Especially when she learns Starfire kissed him when they first met.
** Raveena gets pretty jealous when Sol takes Starfire on a date.
* Cloudcuckoolander: Starfire comes across as this with her AmusingAlien and FishOutOfWater traits being stronger than ever, and causing many misunderstandings and FeeFiFauxPas.
* CloudcuckoolandersMinder: Stella is often the one to put a stop to Starfire's antics and clarify misunderstandings.
* CluelessDudeMagnet: Starfire is often oblivious about just how many people are constantly attracted to her.
* CockFight: Two friends start a BarBrawl over who gets to flirt with Starfire.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: A big source of the series's humor is Starfire comically missing the point of what people are trying to tell her, due to her being a LiteralMinded AmusingAlien.
** After Starfire caused a BarBrawl by talking to some horny dudes
-->Stella: You have to watch out who you speak to around here.\
Starfire: I do. To talk to someone with my back to them is rude, is it not?
** When she comes out of the shower with just a towel on her head right in front of Boone, he shoves a ModestyTowel at her, begging her to cover herself, which confuses her.
-->Starfire: Oh, thank you! But I do not need another towel. The sun and the wind dried my skin! It is only my hair that is wet.
* CompositeCharacter: In looks and personality Starfire is a lot like her WesternAnimation/TeenTitans incarnation. Though she also shares her comic-book personality's feelings toward sex, clothing and intimacy.
* ContinuityNod: Atlee mentions her adventures with ComicBook/PowerGirl.
* ContrivedCoincidence: Dick Grayson's latest job just happens to take him to the same pleasure cruiser Starfire and Sol were having a date at.
* ControlFreak: Stella doesn't like her town becoming a WeirdnessMagnet as she likes having things under control. Atlee explicitly calls her such at one point.
* CPRCleanPrettyReliable: Starfire has to do mouth-to-mouth CPR on Sol when she rescues him from the ocean, and he recovers pretty much immediately.
* Crossover: Dick Grayson comes to Key West in issue 7 and leaves halfway into issue 8 as part of a quick crossover with ComicBook/Grayson.
* CurbStompBattle: Despite being hyped up as a famous Interstellar BountyHunter, Starfire wipes the floor with Kragg Gorn Kee with barely any effort.
* CustomUniformOfSexy: All of Starfire's outfits expose most of her stomach and navel, including her hero costume and most civilian clothes she wears.
* TheCutie: Due to taking a lot of traits from the WesternAnimation/TeenTitans adaptation, Starfire's cute factor is significantly played up with the naive way she acts and dresses.
* DaChief: Stella Gomez is the young sheriff of Key West, and is apparently known as a ReasonableAuthorityFigure but with a bit of a temper.
* DarkAndTroubledPast:
** Soren Johnson, he was a famous Cancer doctor know to perform miracles, this was because he had the power to remove cancer from his patients, though it only made his own worse.
** Sol Gomez is still in a deep HeroicBSOD two years after the tragic death of his girlfriend, Maria.
* Deuteragonist: Atlee becomes this after she's introduced in issue 3, with her plot arc with the Strata being a big part of the series.
* DishingOutDirt: Atlee doesn't go by "Terra" for nothing, with her superpower being able to manipulate earthly materials and substances.
* DudeMagnet: Almost every male character in the series expresses attraction to Starfire at some point.
* TheEmpath: Starfire frequently states that she can sense the feelings of others. Becomes a plot point when she meets Soren Johnson, it also allows her to bond with Beth the dolphin.
* EnergyAbsorption:
** Starfire fuels her FlyingBrick and Starbolts by absorbing sunlight and she's constantly seen sunbathing to charge up as a result (which also has the nice side effect of providing a minor justification for her tendency to wear revealing clothing).
** The Chida monster from the Strata can absorb any kind of energy and Sizeshifter grows bigger as a result.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: While walking around town several girls can be seen admiring Kori, and when she goes to a bar at least two girls are shown to be among many of the patrons who buy her drinks. She even has this effect on straight women.
-->Raveena: Well that body doesn't hurt either, I'd switch sides for a shot at that. Oh, DidIJustSayThatOutLoud
* Expy: Kragg Gorn Kee has an obvious similarity to Lobo, from their pale appearance, job as an interstellar BountyHunter and reckless attitude.
* FaceFramedInShadow: Blackfire is covered in shadows when she hires the BountyHunter Kragg Gorn Kee to track down Starfire.
* FairCop: Sheriff Stella is very good-looking, with Starfire herself calling her "beautiful".
* FantasticArousal:
** One of the Strata aliens has his head turn blue after dancing with Starfire. Atlee explains to Stella that's the equivalent of a RagingStiffie to his race.
** Choor climaxes almost instantly when Starfire rubs his head. and soon after gives birth to a bunch of tiny furballs.
* FightMagnet: Kori, Stella, and Atlee spend their time traveling to Strata discussing the fact that trouble always manages to find them.
* FlamingHair: Starfire's hair is constantly on fire on the run, and noticeably stays on fire even when she's underwater. No one really remarks on it.
* FloatingInABubble: Atlee, Starfire and Stella travel in and out of the Strata in a giant oxygenated bubble that slowly sinks underwater.
* FlungClothing: Inside the wooden shower stall in Stella's place, Starfire strips out of her bikini and ModestyTowel in this fashion, which happens to all fall down right on top of Sol, who accuses her of being TheTease, much to IDidntMeanToTurnYouOn her puzzlement.
* ForcedOrgasm: PlayedForLaughs in when Starfire accidentally causes one of the Strata aliens to orgasm just by rubbing his head, which is a sensitive spot for his BizarreAlienBiology.
* FriendOnTheForce: Stella and Sol become this to Starfire (Stella being the sheriff, Sol the head of the coastal guard) and Starfire occasionally assists them with city matters. Although Stella also often acts as Starfire's CloudcuckoolandersMinder due to her being a FishOutOfWater in the city.
* GirlsNightOutEpisode: The trip to Strata is planned by Atlee as one of these, with her taking Starfire and Stella to go to her town to have fun and de-stress, including spending a day at their famous spa.
* GlowingEyes: Soren's eyes glow whenever he uses his powers
* GoingNative: Starfire's objective in going to live on the relatively peaceful Key West is so she can fully assimilate into human culture, while taking a break from the usual superheroics.
* GoingToGiveItMoreEnergy:
** Starfire defeats the Chida monster who can absorb her Starbolts and Sizeshifter get bigger by throwing him into the ocean and giving him so much energy that he sinks into the bottom of the ocean.
** Starfire faces even more Chida monsters at the Strata, but due to her being overloaded with solar energy from their power source, she manages to overload and kills all of them.
* GoodBadGirl: Despite being a good-natured girl and TheCutie, Starfire is very openly flirtatious with men who catch her interest. She ends up kissing Boone mere minutes after meeting him.
* GoryDiscretionShot: When Soren kills a coastal guard who found him in the ocean, we only see the blood splatter hitting the window.
* GratuitousSpanish: The Latina Stella occasionally speaks in Spanish, such as calling Starfire "Chica Naranja" (Orange Chick).
* GroupHug: Starfire and Atlee both give Stella an awkward hug when the latter is despairing over her town becoming a WeirdnessMagnet.
* HeadTurningBeauty: Starfire's good looks are frequently noted, with several background characters EatingTheEyeCandy as she walks by them.
* IdenticalStranger: Sol's deceased wife Maria looks like a human version of Starfire, which vastly complicates his feelings for her.
* IHaveYourWife:
** After Blackfire commissions BountyHunter Kragg Gorn Kee to find Starfire, the Citadel finds out and tells him to kill Starfire, despite Blackfire telling him she just wanted her location and specified no harm was to come to her sister. When Kragg tells them to piss off, they reveal they have kidnapped his wife and child. Kragg responds by blowing up one of their ships despite having no clue which ship his wife was on, much to the Citadel's shock and horror. Then while he agrees to kill Starfire in exchange for his family, he warns the Citadel that if they bring any harm to them he'll slowly torture them all until they beg for death.
** A Chida monster kidnaps the sister of the Strata gatekeeper in order to force him to lure Atlee and Starfire into a trap.
* HolographicDisguise: Grayson uses the Hypnos to disguise himself as an old man, although it doesn't work for Starfire due to her enhanced alien physiology.
* ImmuneToBullets: An officer shoots Kragg Gorn Kee right in the face, but the bullet barely bruises, and the BountyHunter mocks Earth's firearms as "primitive".
* InconsistentSpelling: Her civilian nickname is spelled "Kori" starting with the ComicBook/New52 and continuing with this series, while every other version (including future ones) using "Kory".
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Starfire has no nudity taboo and frequently enjoys wearing very little, or nothing at all so she can fully enjoy the sunlight on her skin. And while she's conscious enough to wear clothes in public and only ever gets naked when relaxing at home she doesn't even seem aware that her nudity makes other people uncomfortable and frequently wanders around them in the buff, while getting confused at their PleasePutSomeClothesOn requests.
* InnocentInnuendo: During lunch, Starfire ends up making one about her vibrating phone when talking to Dick, much to his amusement
-->Starfire: Did you know when I wear jeans, this phone vibrates in my front pockets, but only for a few seconds, which is a shame.\
Dick: [SpitTake and breaking into laughter]
* InstantCostumeChange: Sometimes Starfire changes from her civilian clothes to her hero outfit between pages. The first few time it has no real InUniverse explanation, but later issues are explained as it being Syl'Khee's doing.
* InterrogationFlashback: The series begins with Starfire being questioned about her past by Stella, thus proving any new reader which a flashback to Starfire's origin story surrounding Tamaran.
* LegFocus: When Stella takes Starfire to a clothing store, she asks for the clothes store assistant to bring her some pants, but he gets her a skirt instead since he reasons Starfire covering her legs would be criminal
-->Javi: Why would you ever cover legs like that?
* LiteralMinded: Whenever someone uses an idiom, Kori tends to think of it in the literal sense, including a little ImagineSpot of what she thinks they mean.
** When Tina calls Boone "horny like a back-alley cat", she pictures a horned cat.
** When told about rent and how she will have to cover water and electricity she images a glass of water and a lighting strike wearing hats.
** Upon first hearing about pineapples, she images it's an apple with a tiny pine tree at the top.
** She pictures Stella with food on her head when Stella tells Kori to have a meal "on me".
* TheLostLenore: Sol has Maria, his wife who died two years before the story starts. He was HappilyMarried and still hasn't been able to move on from her. And Maria just so happens to look almost identical to Starfire (although obviously human).
* LoveTriangle: A small one between Starfire, Sol and Raveena. Raveena has a big crush on Sol, but after his wife died on duty he doesn't want to date another coastal guard again and is attracted to Starfire due to her similarities with his wife. While he and Star briefly date, she mostly helps him move on from his wife's death and he gets together with Raveena with Starfire's blessing.
* LustMakesYouDumb: In issue #5, Kory is getting ready for a job interview and wears a shirt with a NavelDeepNeckline. As Stella covers her up, she explains to the alien that on Earth her boobs "make men act stupid". Kory asks how she can make men act smarter.
* MagmaMan: The Chida monsters are made of magma, and appropriately came the underground land of Strata. When they trap one in the bottom of the ocean, Atlee says he won't die, just eventually turn into stone.
* Malaproper: Starfire, being an alien outsider, doesn't entirely understand English syntax and doesn't understand the meanings of common expressions.
* ManicPixieDreamGirl: Raveena wants to be this for Sol, but he keeps giving her the cold shoulder.
* MoreThanMindControl: In issue #10 of her 2015 series, Sol and Raveena encounter Starfire's pet Syl'khee and accidentally wind up caught in its bizarre hypnosis ray. Sol and Rave become uncontrollably turned on by each other and begin kissing on the spot. The two have different reactions. Sol is very upset and off-put by what happened and says he doesn't like feeling controlled. Raveena, by contrast, says that she felt like all of her fears and inhibitions were gone, and that for a moment she felt free to do anything she wanted. Raveena is a bit offended that Sol saw kissing her as such a harsh experience, and only agrees to forget the whole thing if he wants it that way.
* MsFanservice: Almost all of the Fanservice in the run is provided by Starfire, who wears tons of revealing outfits and gets naked pretty often. Many of the Splash Panels in the series are full of MaleGaze centered on her.
* MustHaveCaffeine: Stella drinks a lot of coffee when she's feeling stressed.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: Starfire's lack of modesty and Stella's exasperated reactions to it are often PlayedForLaughs.
* NetGun: Kragg Gorn Kee fires a net out of his gun to capture Starfire, made out of something he calls "acrellion". It burns her, but she breaks out of it pretty quickly.
* NewOldFlame: Dick and Starfire share a kiss and some UnresolvedSexualTension during the two issues he appears.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Starfire sees no problem in getting intimately close with everyone, giving TheGlomp to both Stella and Sol a couple of times. The same goes for Atlee.
* ObliviouslyBeautiful: Starfire doesn't seem to realize she's a HeadTurningBeauty that attracts both men and women wherever she goes.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Starfire follows this logic when fighting enemies and she poignantly explained this as she incinerated a group of monsters attacking Atlee's home.
* PictorialSpeechBubble: Starfire gets several ThoughtBubbleSpeech that illustrate her ImagineSpot with images, usually something goofy and wacky due to her being LiteralMinded. For example, imaging a horned cat when Boone's grandma Tina accuses him of being "horny like a back-alley cat".
* PleasePutSomeClothesOn: A frequent RunningGag with people telling Starfire to cover up, usually Stella.
** When Boone catches her "air-drying" in the buff, he shoves a ModestyTowel at her.
** Stella buttons up Starfire's office shirt when she comes out with it unbuttoned.
** Stella forbids Starfire from SkinnyDipping in her pool when she hears about it.
** When she comes out of the bathroom naked in front of Dick he immediately turns around awkwardly.
** Stella screams at Starfire to cover herself when she catches her sunbathing topless on the roof.
** Stella insists Starfire puts her clothes back on after she gets out of her medic bed in the Strata.
* PoliceAreUseless: The series has the "hopelessly outmatched" type. They're actually shown to be brave and doing their best to save people and help, but they just don't stand a chance when dealing with anonsters or intergalactic Bounty Hunters. Stella is very frustrated about this.
* PoolScene: Starfire, Atlee, and Stella frequently hang out on pools.
* PunyEarthlings: Instertellar BountyHunter Kragg Gorn Kee constantly refers to Earth and its people as "primitives", mocking their weapons and technology.
* PsychoForHire: PlayedWith in regards to BountyHunter Kragg Gorn Kee. While he's prone to violence, he planned on obeying Blackfire's order of only tracking down Starfire and is unwilling to break his contract with her when the Citadel requests it and is actually willing to die fighting them if they insist. And when they reveal IHaveYourWife they have his family hostage he's enraged and blows up one of their ships (despite having not knowing which ship his family was on) and then agrees with their demands, showing that while he has some degree of honor and professionalism, he's an unpredictable loose cannon.
* QuestionableConsent: Brought up in issue #10. After Syl'khee accidentally hypnotizes Rave and Sol to lose their inhibitions, the two of them make out, but Sol afterward sees the incident as a violation of his consent. By contrast, Rave felt that she was empowered and was more in control during the make-out. However, she chooses to drop the incident if that's what he wants.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Sheriff Stella actually makes time to help Starfire acclimatize with the town, despite it technically being way below her paygrade. It helps the town's relatively peaceful and it was a slow day.
* RetCanon: Starfire's appearance, outfit, and personality in this series draw heavily from her appearance on the WesternAnimation/TeenTitans animated series, although several of her comic-book only traits remain.
* RaisedByGrandparents: Stella says she and Sol were raised by their grandmother, although she doesn't specify what happened to their parents.
* RebusBubble: Some of Starfire's more elaborate ImagineSpot use this to illustrate her wacky thought process.
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: Stella is very embarrassed when she has to change into the Strata ceremonial dress in public, despite Atlee's saying people in Strata don't much go for modesty. She is also very embarrassed when wearing the Strata BarelyThereSwimwear when going to their spa, and keeps covering herself with her hands.
* TheReveal: Starfire isn't the only hero in Key West looking to learn more about humanity.
* RomancingTheWidow: Raveena has a crush on Sol, but fails to get his attention due to him still being mourning his wife. Starfire is far more patient about it when they date, which ultimately helps him move on, even though they break up and he ends up accepting Raveena's advances.
* SatelliteCharacter: Sol's two coastal guard co-workers, Gabe and Raveena don't have a role in the story other than interacting with Sol.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Raveena barely interacts with any other character other than her LoveInterest, Sol.
* SceneryCensor:
** A couple of leaves and a branch cover Starfire's buttocks when she's "air-drying" after her ShowerScene.
** Dick's outstretched arms block her breasts when she steps out of the bathroom topless in front of him.
** When Starfire's naked in the Strata's medical bed, two strategically placed straps cover up her breasts and groin.
* SexySurfacingShot: Starfire gets a few at Stella's pool and at the aquarium she works at. Stella herself gets a brief moment of this when she surfaces out of the water after practicing karate at the bottom of the pool.
* ShoutOut
** Dick calls Syl'Khee Tinkerbell when he first sees it.
** When questioning Dick about his spy job, Starfire asks if his superior is called "M".
* ShowerScene: Starfires takes a shower in the wooden stall next to her trailer in the first issue, with her long hair and strategically placed bubbles covering her naughty bits. Turns into a ShowerOfAwkward when she just casually walks out with only a towel on her head right in front of an embarrassed Boone who covers her with another towel and begs her to PleasePutSomeClothesOn.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: GenderInverted version with Stella disapproving of Starfire coupling with her brother. While she likes Starfire, she thinks her lifestyle is far too dangerous for her to date a normal guy like Sol and they both will inevitably end up hurting when the relationship dissolves, even if both still like each other.
* Sizeshifter: The Chida monster grows bigger whenever he gets hit with energy, such as Starfire's Starbolts. Atlee and Starfire take advantage of this and keep hitting him until he gets so big he sinks into the ocean and is unable to swim back up due to his weight.
* SkinnyDipping: Starfire swims naked in Stella's pool a few times, although she wears a bikini when Stella is with her, since she knows Stella disapproves of Starfire's lack of modesty.
* SpareAMessenger: After giving Kragg Gorn Kee a CurbStompBattle, she considers just killing him, but decides instead to lock him on his ship's stasis pod and send his ship back to the Citadel as a warning to them.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Starfire uses her language assimilation powers to communicate with a dolphin at an aquarium after touching (she literally presses her lips against its beak).
* SpicyLatina: Stella is an attractive Latina that's infamous for her hot-headedness.
* SpitOutAShoe: When the Chida devours a sunbather on the beach, he spits out her bones and her bikini after he's done.
