28	One of the most special things about WesternAnimation/BluesClues is that since there is no fourth wall, the viewer themselves also counts as a character. That's right, you are one of the characters, perhaps the most important character in the entire series, being the faithful companion of the hosts and the one who helps Blue guide them through life.

30	* AmbiguouslyHuman: Although they are the audience's surrogate, as a character they do not have a body, apparently can fly and reach areas that in-universe people cannot ([[MindScrew which Joe questions]]), and will always be portrayed with [[AmazingTechnicolorPopulation non-human skin tones]].
31	* AssumingTheAudiencesAge: The voices of the "viewers" will always be childish, as children are focus audience of the series.
32	* AscendedExtra: Originally they were just the voices that helped Steve find the clues, but little by little they gained more participation in the plot and more interactions with the main characters. Becoming a clue once, getting titles in special episodes, being the answers to Blue's clues in "Blue and Little Rainbow Riding Hood" and finally having an emotional reunion with Steve and Joe in the "real" New York.

They are considered a member of the house and a close friend of the protagonists, which is why every episode, special and film ends with the host thanking the viewer for all their help and wishing them to come back soon.
42	** A particularly sad variation was during "Steve goes to college" where Steve thanks the viewer for all the help while asking the viewer to continue helping Joe and his friends before saying goodbye to his friends.
43	* VagueAge: Although they are typically represented by childish voices, Steve and Joe appear to be able to see and interact with older viewers (who watched their eras), which Josh doesn't seem to be able to do.
44	* ViewersAreGeniuses: In this case being a little more literal. Viewers are seen as much more intelligent than the hosts are and as close friends who help them when they are in trouble.
