[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:In General]]
* AnimalThemedSuperbeing: The rangers are based on constellations, which are all animals. Tenbin Gold is the exception, being based on Libra the Scales.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: All of the Kyurangers have an extraordinary ability or a profession that makes them special. Then there's Kajiki Yellow, who's only a chef. [[HeartIsAnAwesomePower Then again master chefs can perform some very well skilled cuts of meat and the like]], not to mention that ''someone'' has to keep the rebellion fed.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: The Ursa Major Kyutama allows Koguma Skyblue to grow a couple-dozen feet and make ragdolls of the Mooks.
* TheChosenMany: The Kyurangers are a legend that in times of trouble they will rise and save the universe.
* ConvenientComa: Like [[Series/KamenRiderFourze Tatsumori Yamada]] five years ago, the Aries Kyutama can induce this in its target.
* CoolStarship: The Voyagers, which also double as the team's Mecha. Their home base, the ''Orion'', counts too.
* ElementalPowers: The majority of the Kyurangers seems to have a different element or ability. Some stem from their own biology[[note]]Balance's [[ShockAndAwe Electric Shock]], Naga's PsychicPowers, Garu's Beastly Claws, Stinger's [[PoisonousPerson Poisonous Sting]] and Raptor's in-built {{Flight}} capacity[[/note]], while others require the use of their Kyutama.
* FashionableAsymmetry: As part of the NonStandardCharacterDesign, several of the rangers have asymmetric visors, which is [[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger mostly]] unheard of for the franchise, in fact only the Gold, Black, and Yellow rangers have symmetric visors.
* FinishingMove: All Kyurangers have two Galaxy finishers, the All-star Crash fired from their Seiza Blasters, and the other using their individual Kyu Weapons. And when all five activate a Galaxy while piloting Kyuren-Oh, they can unleash the robot's Super Galaxy finisher.
** Ryu Commander has the Dragon Crash, where after channeling power from his Kyutama through the Ryuusueder, it is fired out as a projection of the Ryu Voyager, which blasts through whatever's in front of it.
* FunWithAcronyms: Their main ship, the Orion, stands for '''O'''ffensive '''R'''esistance '''I'''nterstellar '''O'''rbiter of REBELLIO'''N'''.
* HopeBringer: The fact that they can fight back against Jark Matter ''and win'' makes them this for everyone crushed under Jark Matter's boot. This is shown in greater detail in ''Space 5'' as the formerly despairing citizens on Earth see them dishing out a CurbStompBattle to Jark Matter and begin to cheer them on under their breath. Kotaro specifically wants to join the Kyurangers so he can help bring hope to his homeworld.
* HumanAlien: Five members of the team (Lucky, Hammie, Spada, Ray and Stinger) play this straight; the other four avert it, of which Garu is the only organic being. Of the five human aliens, only Lucky and Spada lack ''any'' alien traits.
* InASingleBound: The Lepus Kyutama allows the user to jump over high altitudes.
* LaResistance: Their team was formed to end [[TheEmpire Jark Matter's]] rule. Their group is literally called "Rebellion".
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Scutum Kyutama creates a barrier of energy shield in front of the user.
* MakingASplash: Aquarius Kyutama fires a high-pressure water jet.
* MesACrowd: The Gemini Kyutama allows the rangers to make copies to themselves.
* MulticulturalTeam: Each of them hail from different systems banding together to fight Jark Matter. One of the taglines when advertising the show was "Humans?! Beastmen?! Robots?! Unite!"
* NonUniformUniform: Beyond usual things such as the suit colors and helmet designs, each ranger also has additional features, Shishi Red being the exception.
** Sasori Orange has a stinger tail both in and out of suit.
** Ookami Blue has fur coming out of his helmet, blue fur adorning the entire suit, beast-clawed patterns on his gloves and boots, and his lips have fangs. His helmet also has ear-like protrusions.
** Tenbin Gold and Oushi Black have a more armored form than the others, and looks somewhat mechanical.
** Oushi Black has a much bulkier body than the others, as well as the horns of his visor extending past the helmet. He actually retains most of his unmorphed look.
** Hebitsukai Silver has a scale pattern going down his suit.
** Chameleon Green has two chameleon eyes extending from the top of the helmet.
** Washi Pink has a pair of small wings on her back.
** Kajiki Yellow has the front of his visor extend forward, much like a sword.
** Ryu Commander comes with a BadassLongcoat.
** Koguma Skyblue has mittens and a scarf.
** [[spoiler:Houou Soldier's suit is more "metallic", and his helmet and collar are designed to look like a large kyutama, albeit one with a comm device on the side.]]
* PerpetualFrowner: Most of their visor helmet have frowned lips molded onto them.
* PowerPincers: The Cancer Kyutama creates an enormous energy-claw to capture and crush the user's target.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The team is made up of aliens from different backgrounds. See also TeamSpirit for an intentional invocation of this trope.
* RainOfArrows: Sagittarius Kyutama's special attack
* RedBaron: In addition to their civilian and code names, each member comes with a moniker:
** Lucky/Shishi Red: Super Star%%, ''The Very Lucky Greatest Star''
** Stinger/Sasori Orange: Poison Star%%, ''The Stinger Soldier''
** Garu/Ookami Blue: Beast Star%%, ''The Space Wolf''
** Balance/Tenbin Gold: Trick Star[[labelnote:note]]pun on trickster[[/labelnote]]%%, ''The Mechaman''
** Champ/Oushi Black: Ring Star%%, ''The Raging Bull Wrestler''
** Naga Ray/Hebitsukai Silver: Silent Star%%, ''Psychic Guy''
** Hammie/Chameleon Green: Shinobi Star%%, ''The Surprise Ninja''
** Raptor/Washi Pink: Speed Star[[labelnote:note]]pun on "speedster"[[/labelnote]]%%, ''The Super Flying Warrior''
** Spada/Kajiki Yellow: Food Mei-Star[[labelnote:note]]pun on "meister"[[/labelnote]]%%, ''The Finishing Move Chef''
** [[spoiler:Shou/Ryu Commander: Dragon Ma-Star]][[labelnote:note]]pun on "master"[[/labelnote]]
** [[spoiler:Kotaro/Koguma Skyblue: Big Star]]
** [[spoiler:Tsurugi/Houou Solider: Space Bu-Star]][[labelnote:note]]pun on "buster"[[/labelnote]]
* SnakesAreSinister: The Serpens Kyutama [[AddedAlliterativeAppeal summons several slithering serpents]] and basically throws them at the enemy.
* SummonBiggerFish: Quite literally, with the Pisces Kyutama.
* SuperpowerLottery: The Saiko Kyutama gives its user the vast powers of Orion and the universe as a whole. It has two scarves that can grab opponents and pull them in for attacks. It can summon every weapon from every Kyuranger, and in Tsurugi's case call his two individually, or together, and have them all maul foes. It can bend space to allow for enemy attacks to be redirected back at them, or to allow for teleportation. And for its All-Star finisher, it literally drops all the local stars onto whatever schmuck the Rangers are fighting.
* TeamSpirit: While it is a given since it's ''Franchise/SuperSentai'', there's a peculiar case for the Kyurangers. The directors stated in the website that they wanted the Kyurangers to be like a Japanese soccer team, giving each member its pillar and quirk to support the team. [[spoiler:It is also a possible hint of the number of rangers in the team]].
** This is highlighted when the core nine finally unite in ''Space 5''. The tide '''immediately''' shifts in their favor, and literally nothing can stop them, as everyone's unique abilities blend perfectly.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: Half of the Shining Kyutama, along with {{Lunacy}}, which enhances not just Lucky into Solar and Lunar modes, but also Balance and Garu ''respectively'' in its premiere.
* WallCrawl: The Lacerta Kyutama gives the user this ability
* WeaponSpecialization: All nine of the core team use Kyu the Weapon to form theirs. What makes this unique is that nothing prevents them from using another form besides their preferences, and that nine weapons can be formed out of just [[SwissArmyWeapon three parts, the Hilt, the Core, and the Blade]]. It even beats out [[Series/KamenRiderDenO previous]] [[Series/KamenRiderGhost examples]] of weapon versatility.
** Shou prefers his Dragon Staff, which can turn into a rifle and is fantastic when combined with his CaneFu.
** Kotaro [[ImprobableWeaponUser uses his scarf]]... no, seriously. It's weighted, so it serves as an EpicFlail. ''Space 21'' reveals that he can wield Kyu weapons too, though he seems to prefer Stinger's Kyu Spear.
** [[spoiler:Houou Soldier uses the Houou Sword and Shield, which also doubles as his TransformationTrinket]].

[[caption-width-right:183:Super Star/Dancing Star/Shining Star/Moody Star/[[spoiler:Miracle Star]]]]

A traveling warrior who was born in the Leo System. He has an amazing amount of luck, which helps him both in life and in the battlefield.

----
* AllYourPowersCombined: [[spoiler:As Shishi Red Orion, he can summon the other Kyurangers' weapons at once in addition to his own]].
* AudienceSurrogate: Lucky is generally out of the loop when it comes to practically anything to do with Jark Matter. The others usually have to explain things to him for his benefit (as well as the audience's).
* AwesomeMomentOfCrowning: [[spoiler: Gets one at the end of ''Space 37'' after being recognized as the heir to the throne of his planet.]]
* BornLucky: His name is literally called "Lucky".
** Subverted in ''Space 6'' where it is shown that a lot of his "luck" comes down to him having a positive attitude and not giving up easily. It's implied that a lot of his luck isn't because he was born lucky, it's because he keeps an open mind and will work hard to make them work in his favor. Though Shou does admit that his positivity does attract the luck he sees.
** His luck completely fails him in ''Space 11'', shaking him to his core. Taken with Shou's explanation in ''6'', the implication is that he's actually BornUnlucky and makes an effort to swing an upside out of his mishaps, making him UnluckilyLucky.
%%* BrutalHonesty: You need to cite an example of him being brutally honest, the original was too vague & broad
* CatchPhrase: "Yossha, lucky!" [[note]][[{{Woolseyism}} "Talk about Lucky!"]] or alternatively, "Alright, lucky!"[[/note]]
** He also has another one: "Yosh, undameshi da!" [[note]]"Okay, time to test my luck!"[[/note]]
** And after finishing a fight he has ''[[GratuitousEnglish "Good Luck!"]]''
* ColonyDrop: Shooting stars are a frequent motif for him. They're associated with his voyager, TransformationNameAnnouncement, and were even part of EstablishingCharacterMoment as a warrior and Kyuranger.
* CoolSword: His Kyu Sword.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Implied in the end of ''Space 11'' where he [[spoiler: has a Flashback to what is presumably his childhood--which would be him as a child, standing in destroyed, burning building and bawling his eyes out]].
** [[spoiler: Eventually, it's revealed that as a child, he was separated from his parents and sent to live on another planet, much like Superman. As it turns out, he's the prince of the entire Leo System, and his father, the king, was secretly brainwashed to be subservient to Jark Matter while a decoy was put in his place]].
* {{Determinator}}: Survives the cold and vacuum of space through ''sheer force of will''.
* DistinctionWithoutADifference: Lucky hits this in ''Space 3'' when he attempts to [[spoiler:stop Champ from fighting Stinger. Telling him to stop his revenge and in return he'll(Lucky) will help him get vengeance instead. Champ lampshades that it doesn't really make any sense.]]
* DumbassHasAPoint: In ''Space 3'' when the team is discussing that Jark Matter is using a device that will blow up a planet, Lucky is happy as he points out that not only do they know what is causing the danger to the planet but also how to stop it. [[spoiler:Similarly he stops Champ from trying to kill Stinger as he points out they need all 9 Kyurangers to win and that if Stinger has a Kyutama means that he can't be a bad person.]]
* DynamicEntry: One of the most epic ones on record. Doesn't get much more dynamic than ''riding a meteor shower into battle''.
* TheEmpath: He's incredibly perceptive to his teammates' problems and is willing to go above and beyond to help them. He's also able to tell if someone's a good person or not just by observing them, a standout example being correctly guessing that [[spoiler:Balance wouldn't be able to leave him and Naga to die.]]
* {{Expy}}:
** Cast in a similar mold as [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Daigo Kiryu]] and [[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger Takaharu Igasaki]] for being a HotBlooded and rather {{Idiot|Hero}}ic red leader of the group. As the series goes on however, he also show some shades of [[Series/ChoushinseiFlashman Jin]] and [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Captain Marvelous]] when it comes to his leadership skills and [[spoiler:his backstory as a prince of the Leo system also makes him one to Ahim de Famille as well]].
*** Note that his positive attitude makes him one to [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Ryouga Hakua]] and [[Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger Alata]].
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: Described as an optimist. In ''Space 4'', he demonstrates some realist traits but keeping his optimism intact.
* FireIsRed: He is the red ranger, and the element associated to him is fire.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: Is on the receiving end of this in ''Space 12'', courtesy of Garu storming in and punching him in the face.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks: Averted. While he does have extraordinary good luck, he is also willing to work long and hard to make something work out for the better, as seen in ''Space 6'' where spend long hours trying to master the group exercise, long after many of the team gave up after it immediately didn't become clear how it was beneficial to them.
* HeroicBSOD: In ''Space 11 and 12'', His defeat with Ikagen totally make him feeling depressed and making him thinking, he is unlucky. Given in [[DarkAndTroubledPast his backstory]].
* HeroicWillpower: To an absurd degree. Not only did he survive the cold and the vacuum of space by simply ''refusing to die'', his reason of wanting to be a Kyuranger sees him chosen by the burning constellation of Leo.
** ''Space 4'' shows him yell down a group of Earthlings that living without a dream is not living at all, blasting them for giving up as they have.
* HotBlooded: Practically ''boiling''. Given that Leo's powers are also flame based, this is appropriate.
* TheIdealistWasRight: In ''Space 4'', Lucky's insistence on letting Raptor join the fight was met with resistance by pretty much everybody. However, his belief that letting people live their dreams inspired and gave Raptor enough courage to awaken her Kyuranger powers.
* IdiotHero: Subverted. When the team is discussing Jark Matter, as in the evil empire who has taken over dozens of galaxies, he has no idea who they even are [[labelnote:Actual context]]He was deliberately kept out of the loop by his close ones due to his father's involvement[[/labelnote]], giving a bad impression about his ignorance. Later scenes has him giving his own insights on other people, however. For example, through his fight/talk with Garu, he is able to understand his despair over losing his loved ones and assure him the he would not be weak enough to fall under Jark Matter, giving him hope to fight alongside his team.
* ImageSong: Lucky Smile.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Some of his team members tend to disagree with his optimism, but he keeps being optimistic no matter what. As the series progress, he even encourages the team to take on his mindset and be heroes regardless of personal problems. Lucky always plays the hero either for his teammates or citizens. Even when it gets tough to keep his optimism, Lucky still keeps it up.
* InstantExpert: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]]. Though he fights incredibly well the first time he ever transforms into a Kyuranger, it's mostly through observing what the other Kyurangers do with sheer dumb luck filling in the rest. This is PlayedForLaughs when he is able to perfectly copy Hammie's pose when transforming after watching her do it once in Transformation Lessons 1. She wasn't amused especially as she revealed she spent a lot of time practicing to get it right.
* IronButtmonkey: Has some shades of this; while his luck usually works out in the end, it doesn't stop him being the victim of misfortune beforehand. ''Space 17'' makes this into OverlyLongGag as Lucky gets repeatedly punched across the place by [[LivingShadow Shaidos]].
* KarmicJackpot: As Shou notes in ''Space 6'', Lucky's positive attitude is rewarded by the good luck he attracts. Apparently he is a believer in the Golden Rule.
* KingOfBeasts: His animal motif, based on Leo the Lion. Fittingly, his Voyager is much bigger than the others and forms the frame of [[HumongousMecha Kyuren-Oh]].
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: His voyager is the biggest of the core nine, and forms the bulk of Kyuren-Oh.
* TheLeader: ''Space 4'' fully cements this, as well as highlighting that while simplistic, Lucky is in no way dumb. He cares for his team and will do whatever he can to help them, but also isn't afraid to call them out if he feels they're wrong. He even admits to Raptor that his dream is to fight and help his new comrades. It's his positive encouragement of Raptor, as well as chiding Spada for (unintentionally) trying to squash her dream that sees Raptor gaining her powers.
* LiteralSplitPersonality: Due to the Shining Kyutama. Solar mode makes Lucky cheerful and energetic, while Lunar makes him calm and thoughtful. Both pair well with Balance, and Garu's changes.
* MagneticHero: He was the one who convinced Garu to stand and fight Jark Matter, as well as convincing Balance and Naga to join him and having unwavering faith in his comrades. He even manages to convince Tsurugi to come off his high horse and accept the Kyurangers' assistance.
* MeaningfulName: His name is Lucky. [[BornLucky He's]] ''[[BornLucky really]]'' [[PunnyName Lucky]].
* MundaneUtility: [[spoiler: When Mecha-Madako takes his, Sparda's and Kotaro's weapon, he simply calls on new ones using the power of Orion Kyutama]].
* NoIndoorVoice: Fitting with his HotBlooded nature.
* OhCrap: He has this expression when he realized that Balance did sell him out in ''Space 2''. Luckily for him and Ray, Balance had a change of heart.
* OnlySaneMan: Despite his [[HotBlooded passionate and dumb demeanor]], he is usually the one who keeps the team mission-oriented, regardless of the current circumstances. He keeps himself practical and encouraging for his team, is dedicated to his job, and is more reasonable than he lets on.
* OurHeroIsDead: [[spoiler: The end of episode 29]].
* ThePollyanna: Shou implies that this trait is actually why he's so lucky; being in a constant state of positivity makes everything seem like good-fortune to him. [[spoiler:However, it's implied that even he has a DarkAndTroubledPast, as well as that said positivity actually ''does'' generate good luck.]]
* PlayingWithFire: A trail of fire that's left behind Kyu Sword's slash energy implies that this is his personal element.
* PowerOfTrust: His key source of success which make him able to change the table of situation.
* RedOniBlueOni: Both. The red to Tsurugi's blue,The blue to Garu's red [[{{Irony}} despite their suit's colors]].
* RookieRedRanger: Downplayed. He first meets the Kyurangers by stumbling upon Chameleon Green, Oushi Black and Kajiki Yellow in the middle of a fight and joined around the same time as Garu. The team is still incomplete by then.
** Zigzags back when you remember Stinger was a spy for the resistance that Green, Black, and Yellow were unaware of, and also that Shou used to be a Kyuranger himself as Ryuu Violet, which would make Lucky the sixthmember to join the team.
%%* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: The Sensitive Guy to Tsurugi's Manly Man. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* ShamingTheMob: In ''Space 4'', when the citizens scolded the Kyurangers for resisting Jark Matter, he instead rebuked them by saying that they were willing to sacrifice their children to AFateWorseThanDeath.
** [[spoiler: Does this again in ''Space 20'', where Scorpio forcing the team into being Public Enemy No.1 causes people to stone them. Lucky wouldn't mind being hit himself, but gets really riled up when one stone nearly hits [[WouldntHurtAChild Kotaro.]] ]]
* SignatureMove: ''Regulus Impact''
* SkilledButNaive: It stems from his BornLucky traits getting him out of trouble.
* SmarterThanYouLook: He seems like an IdiotHero but is actually more aware of their mission than he lets on, and he is shown to be quite adept at reading people.
* SuperMode: Shishi Red Orion, which is essentially a Sentai version of [[Series/KamenRiderGaim Gaim's Kiwami Arms]], [[spoiler: except it doesn't turn the user into something else.]]
* SupportPartyMember:
** The Hikari Kyutama makes him into one if Balance or Garu is on the team. Not that it doesn't make Lucky stronger, but sunlight makes Balance stronger and moonlight does the same for Garu.
** Shishi Red Orion can lend some of those multiple weapons to his teammates if need be.
* SwordBeam: How he uses his SignatureMove.
* UncattyResemblance: He and Garu have this but less on the physical side, more on the history and personality. [[spoiler:Both are tragic characters who lost their home and family through Jark Matter, while both are also reckless and itching for a fight.]] Small wonder they bonded together to form a close relationship.
* WarriorTherapist: He managed to reignite Garu's fighting spirit with some well placed words while ''fistfighting him''. He qualifies.
* WhatTheHellHero: In ''Space 4'', he calls out Spada's CruelToBeKind attitude towards Raptor's dream.
** [[spoiler: He gets justifiedly angry at Stinger for acting like an idiot and trying to get himself killed due to his standoffish attitude in ''Space 20''.]]

!! Shishi Voyager-Voyager Unit 01
-->Height- 17.5 meters
-->Width- 38.0 meters
-->Length- 38.0 meters
-->Weight- 1,100 tons
-->Speed- Mach 1.2 (Mid-flight)
-->Output- 9,000,000 horsepower
Lucky's personal voyager is a Leo Star System Space Cruiser. It is able to utilize vertical takeoffs and landings and armed with the Leo Laser, Leo Claws and Leo Missiles. Given its mix of powerful arsenal and flight capabilities it is able to visit many planets and is the strongest of the Kyu Voyagers.
----
* CoolStarship: While all of the Voyagers invoke this, Shishi Voyager is most notable due to being much larger and detailed.
* ColonyDrop: During any FinishingMove involving Kajiki Voyager, Shishi aides by hurling meteors at the foe.
* KingOfBeasts: Being based on Leo the Lion.
* LargeAndInCharge: The biggest of the core Voyagers, and forms the core of Kyuren-Oh.
* TankGoodness: Several of its features invoke this.

[[caption-width-right:183:Poison Star]]

A mysterious veteran warrior from the Scorpius System who utilizes venomous techniques. Hails from a planet that fell to Jark Matter, betrayed by his own older brother. [[spoiler:Works as a Rebellion spy within Jark Matter.]]
----

* AngerBornOfWorry: His behavior towards Kotaro is ''Space 11'' was born of a desire to [[spoiler: prevent him from getting drunk on power like Scorpio did.]]
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:At first, it seems as if it's because he feels regret for killing Professor Anton. However, it's revealed that he regrets not being able to stop his brother from killing Professor Anton - he was not responsible.]]
* BadassLongCoat: He gets one after being promoted to Commander sometime through the time skip between defeat of Don Armage and ''Where they are now?'' meet up at the end of #48.
* BerserkButton: Don't mess with his teammates (especially [[TrueCompanions Champ]] or [[BigBrotherInstinct Kotaro]]).
* BewareMyStingerTail: Has one as part of his uniform ''and'' his unmorphed [[LittleBitBeastly appearance]].
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In ''Space 20'', courtesy of [[spoiler: being poisoned by his brother.]]
* ButtMonkey: In the JRPG parody that is majority of ''Space 39''. After being turned into clown, he is forced to act like one and be TheLoad of the party. It's somewhat depressing experience for him until the end [[spoiler: where he manages to save Champ]].
* CainAndAbel: The Abel to Scorpio's Cain, perhaps so.
* TheComicallySerious: No matter the situation, he remains calm and collected. In ''Space 6'' when Raptor attempted to recall him for dance practice, his response was in essence "Nope."
* CoolBigBro: Becomes one for the elventh and youngest addition to the team Kotaro who, from "Space 11" onwards, calls him "Aniki".
* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: [[spoiler:A powerful poison known as ''Antares''. In his second battle against Scorpio, he stung himself with a steroid that increases his fighting abilities at a cost of his life. This backfires as not only he still cannot overpower Scorpio this way, Scorpio stung him so that he would spend his remaining life BrainwashedAndCrazy.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: Loses all hope when [[spoiler:his only family member was evil all along, to the point he asks him to kill him.]]
* {{Foil}}: [[spoiler:His backstory makes him one to Garu as they both lost their clans to Jark Matter. The difference is while Garu's clan was destroyed by Jark Matter's might, Stinger's clan was betrayed by his older brother. This leads to Garu feeling that Jark Matter is invincible and giving up while Stinger is obsessed with finding his brother.]]
* TheHermit: Said to hate interacting with others. [[spoiler:''Space 5'' [[DarkAndTroubledPast shows there's a very good reason for that.]]]] He does become somewhat more comfortable around his teamates as time passes.
* HeroicBSOD: ''Space 16'', [[spoiler:once Scorpio revealed himself to be EvilAllAlong, to the point that he asked his brother to kill him. It also influences most of his following actions until Space 20.]]
* HiddenDepths: At the end of "Space 21", it's revealed he's good at needle work making little chibi plushies of the Kyurangers. He states this is a common hobby among the warriors of his people.
* ImageSong: Song of Sasori.
* IneffectualLoner: He insist on carrying things by himself stated by Champ. Part of his FatalFlaw. Lucky is quite displeased with how his distrusting attitude almost led him to death. He remembers the lesson [[spoiler: and calls Champ out on his attitude in ''Space 34'']].
* ItsAllMyFault: Kotaro says that Stinger blames himself for events of ''[[HeroicSacrifice Space]] [[HotBlooded 16]]'' while talking to the other Kyurangers in ''Space 17''.
* ItHasBeenAnHonor: Says this in message he left for the team before heading off [[spoiler: [[DeadManWriting to die]] [[HeroicSacrifice fighting]] his brother ]].
* LittleBitBeastly: His tail is part of his natural body.
* TheMole: [[spoiler:He was this for Shou Ronpo in Jark Matter until ''Space 5'' where he is outed as one.]]
* NotSoAboveItAll: He does some awkward, vaguely dance-like movements to match others while they celebrate [[spoiler: Naga's return]]. He freezes with both hands up in ''I give up'' sort of gesture for a moment when Echidna enters the room.
** In "Space 23", He's one of three Kyuranger's who touches their cheek in sympathetic pain seeing the slap mark Eris left on Balance's face.
** [[spoiler: He shares Champ's 1-2-3-MOO! with everyone in ''Space 39'']].
* ADayInTheLimelight: ''Episode of Stinger'' is this for him and Champ. It takes place between ''Space 13'' and ''16'', when they were on their own, searching for Scorpio.
* PoisonousPerson: With his stinger techniques. His debut showcases just ''how'' effective his venom is. It can render those it affects immobile for an extended period, even [[OhCrap mechanical lifeforms like Balance]], '''[[BeyondTheImpossible and robots like Champ.]]'''
** This ability also works in reverse, with his stinger tail being able to apply an antidote to his species venom as well. [[spoiler: This is part of why Champ confused him for Anton's murderer.]]
* PostVictoryCollapse: [[spoiler: He collapses after destroying Champ's berserk circuit]] in ''Space 39''. [[spoiler: It was located side by side with Champ's heart so if he was just a little off on either side he would destroy his only chance or Champ's life. You can see the tip of tail shake with anxiety. Champ catches him and helps him up.]]
* TheQuietOne: He rarely talks through the first half of the story, but starts speaking up as he gets more open with others and less dependant on his stoic mask to sort things out for him.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His eyes briefly glow purple as [[spoiler: his brother's poison is starting to take effect.]]
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: [[spoiler: His brother's betrayal]] set him onto this as show in Shou Ronpo's memories. Then there is the fight with [[spoiler: his brother]] in ''Space 16'' that combines this with HeroicBSOD, nigh InelegantBlubbering and Angrish.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Champ and Kotaro's red.
* ScaryScorpions: His animal motif, based on Scorpius the Scorpion.
* SignatureMove: ''Antares Impact''
* TheStoic: Keeps a straight face against anything. It doesn't matter whether it's Shou Ronpo's antics or Orion making suicide trip into the Sun. This is [[TheComicallySerious turned against]] him every so often.
* ThisCannotBe: His reaction to meeting his brother for the first time in years.
* TookALevelInBadass: His childhood memories show him as a crybaby picked on by other members of his tribe. [[FromNobodyToNightmare He went from there]] to one of the most powerful members of the team.
* TragicKeepsake: It turns out that his pendant is one that belonged to his brother, Scorpio. [[spoiler:It was given to him in happier times before Scorpio betrayed their people to Jark Matter.]]
** [[spoiler: He has the Monoceros Kyutama to remember [[ILetGwenStacyDie Mika]] by after her death in [[DayInLimelight Episode of Stinger]].]]
* UsedToBeASweetChild: Young Stinger was a nice kid protected by his brother. Present Stinger is [[TheStoic calm]] and [[ComicallySerious collected]] outside and [[DarkAndTroubledPast complete mess]] inside. While he usually keeps the act up, anything regarding his brother can break it to some degree ranging from woobish moment to RoaringRampageOfRevenge.
** [[spoiler: As the load of Heartwarming in ''Space 21'' shows this still somewhat applies as despite being adult and jaded, Stinger has the traits of a dork deep down.]]
* WildCard: [[spoiler:He appears in ''Space 3'' attacking the other Kyurangers and doesn't join the group by the end of the episode. While he is currently working with Jark Matter, he has no loyalty to the group even killing Moretsuyoindaver for getting in the way of his fight with Lucky. And as Lucky states he has a Kyutama meaning he's part of the legend to save the Universe. Additionally, Stinger himself admits that his murder of Professor Anton was a sin he intends to atone for. ''Space 5'' reveals he's actually a mole for the Kyurangers]]
* WouldntHurtAChild: [[spoiler:In ''Space 5'' he states he would never kill children.]]
** This temporarily changes in ''Space 20''. [[spoiler: He goes after Kotaro under the influence of Scorpio's poison.]]
* WorldsBestWarrior: Known as the strongest warrior in his galaxy. ''Space 3'' shows that this is mighty accurate, as he's physically strong enough to lift, throw, and duel with a ''robot built for physical power''.

A bipedal wolf being from the Lupus System. He possesses incredible speed and strength, but is known to be impatient. He lost his pride after seeing his clan getting killed by Jark Matter.
----
* AbsurdlySharpClaws: Both in civilian and ranger form.
* AdventureRebuff: Even though he had a Kyutama it wouldn't react to him due to his belief that Jark Matter could never be stopped. This changes when Lucky's words and the Kyurangers refusal to give in reignite his will to fight.
* AnimalStereotypes: He is aggressive and hostile to those who show hostility to him, but loyal and a good friend to people he deems good.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: A platonic version, he trusts Lucky the most due to Lucky helping him out in ''Space 1''. His wording of some phrases in later episodes however, implies that Garu's feelings are less than platonic.
* BloodKnight: Claims the only reason he's a Kyuranger is to ''tear Jark Matter apart.'' [[DeathByOriginStory Given what they did to his clansmen]], it's actually a sympathetic motive.
* BookDumb: Said to be a bit of an idiot, but still a reliable fighter. Best emphasized in Space 34, where he's the '''only''' person who falls for Champ's PaperThinDisguise, which causes the rest of the team to ask if he's stupid or something.
* ButtMonkey: Gets put through quite the wringer in ''Space 14''. Worth noting is that Spada using the Pisces Kyutama summons a big healthy fish for him to prepare and serve, while Garu winds up with a vicious alien piranha that tries to eat his face.
* CanineCompanion: His profile makes a note that he should stick with Lucky to change his fate. Very evident in ''Space 2'', as he gives Lucky the Seiza Blasters without hesitation since he trusts him in finding additional Kyurangers.
** In ''Space 5'' when Lucky steps ahead of the team, Garu follows behind him immediately, standing just behind him.
* DisguisedInDrag: In ''Space 14'', he receives the Otome Kyutama from Shou and used it to disguise himself as a geisha by mistake. It surprisingly works, since the MonsterOfTheWeek falls for him.
** In his character data from the photobook, it says that crossdressing is his specialty, despite hating it.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: In ''Space 12'', he storms up to a moping Lucky and punches him in the face, reminding him of how he managed to raise Garu's spirits and that the group still believes in his luck.
* GlassCannon: Downplayed example - as noted below, he has been subjected to several [[CurbstompBattle thrashings]] just to showcase how powerful the enemies are, but he never comes close to cracking. However, while he may not be able to take damage, he is more than capable of dishing it out, being very fast and hitting very hard, although he's not as fast as Raptor, making him this trope instead of FragileSpeedster.
* HeroicBSOD: The deaths of his clansmen at the hands of Jark Matter broke his spirit and left him without hope that they could ever be defeated. Seeing the Kyurangers in action however reignited that hope.
* HeroicResolve: Had to rekindle his before his Kyutama would accept him. After he does, he's among the first into battle, no matter the odds.
* InterspeciesRomance: [[spoiler:In ''Kyuranger vs. Space Squad'', he's shown to have married a human woman and started a family]].
* TheLancer: Lucky's main backup, and often the one seconding his decisions.
* LeeroyJenkins: He suggested that once they have all nine Kyurangers they go straight for Jark Matter's home base.
* {{Lunacy}}: Can be powered up by moonlight, and in a subversion of the normal effects, actually becomes calmer and smarter. [[spoiler:Real useful if he fights alongside Shishi Red Moon.]]
* ManlyTears: His tone in ''Space 12'' upon seeing Lucky return from his funk and deliver his catchphrase after making a huge amount of clones implies this (even though we don't see him actually crying).
* MyGreatestFailure: The death of his clan.
* NobleWolf: His animal motif, based on Lupus the Wolf. Also literally one too.
* NonUniformUniform: His Ookami Blue suit is the only Kyuranger suit with fur.
* PlatonicDeclarationOfLove: His rousing speech towards Lucky in ''Space 12''. "You are the man I fell in love with!"[[labelnote:note]]俺の惚れた男じゃけえ![[/labelnote]] is a literal translation, but can be interpreted as "You're the man who won me over." What that means about Garu's feelings towards Lucky depends on interpretation at this point.
* PrimalStance: While he could normally stand, in battle he prefers to be on all fours or crouching. He ditches this if he's under the effects of Moonlight, assuming an upright stance.
* PunnyName: Derived from "garuru," the sound of a wolf's growling. Also possibly based on the French word for werewolf, "loup-garou" (literally "wolf-man").
* RedOniBlueOni:The red to Lucky's blue [[{{Irony}} despite their suit's colors]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: After getting his fighting spirit back he resolves to ''tear Jark Matter apart'', partly out of a desire to avenge his clan and partly because he knows it's the right thing to do.
* SignatureMove: ''Lupulus Impact''
* SurvivorsGuilt: Being the only one left of his family gives him a hard time fighting back against Jark Matter. Seeing the Kyurangers and especially Lucky gave him the courage to fight on.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Aside from his favorite food being "Lucky's favorite food", he also has a penchant for curry. He ate one so fast in one episode even.
* UncattyResemblance: He and Lucky have this but less on the physical side, more on the history and personality. [[spoiler:Both are tragic characters who lost their home and family through Jark Matter, while both are also reckless and itching for a fight.]] Small wonder they bonded together to form a close relationship.
* UndyingLoyalty: To his teammates, but most of all Lucky, as he was the person who got him to stand up and fight.
* VerbalTic: "-gari!"[[note]]"Grr!"[[/note]] [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that he doesn't use it ''nearly'' as much as other examples of this trope.
* WolverineClaws: His Kyu Claw.
* WolfMan: A bipedal wolf. He's much like [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Doggie Kruger]] or a [[Series/DobutsuSentaiZyuohger Wolf Zyuman]].
* WorfEffect: Has been subjected to several [[CurbstompBattle curbstomps]] to showcase how powerful the enemies are.

Navigating easily around dense forests, it can rush and attack speedy enemies with its fangs.
----
* RobotDog: Or wolf in its case.
* NobleWolf: Like its pilot.

A mechanical lifeform from the Libra System. He has the ability to control other machines.
----
* AgentPeacock: He is incredibly campy, foppish, and materialistic... and yet is also a highly skilled badass thief with control over technology. He also speaks in a similar way to a GyaruGirl, or a ValleyGirl depending on which translation you go with.
* AutomaticCrossbow: Uses the Kyu Crossbow.
* BecomingTheMask: [[spoiler:He originally only brought Naga along to use his desire to have emotions to help with his escape when he committed a robbery at Naga's native Ophiuchus System. With time, however, Balance came to truly care for Naga's well-being and became more earnest in helping him find his emotions, something he fully realizes once Akyanba turns him to her side.]]
* BitchInSheepsClothing: In the second episode, he acts friendly to Lucky but planned to give him to Jark Matter. He changed his mind at the last minute.
* CatchPhrase: ''Goisu!'' [[note]] It's a flip of "Sugoi!" ("Great!") to reflect the ''gyaru''-esque attitude Balance sports. Fansub groups will instead {{Woolsey|ism}} this using variants of crazy, ex. "This is Cray!" or "Radical!", to fit the kind of things a ValleyGirl would say[[/note]]
** He also has “agepoyo” (super awesome).
* CombatTentacles: Is able to sprout metallic tendrils from his wrists for combat or to hack into computer systems.
* FalseFriend: Initially played straight, but ultimately subverted. Naga says that Balance always tells him what to do and Balance has admitted to having picked up Naga only out of convinience. Events between Space 26 and Space 31 prove Balance deeply cares about Naga now and can't imagine living without him.
* GentlemanThief: Said to be one, with his partner Naga Ray.
* TheGlomp: He tackles [[spoiler: Naga]] in Space 31 like this while crying his name and getting these cartoonish tears streaming down his faceplate.
* HeelFaceTurn: At first, Balance was only planning on turning in Lucky for a chance to rob Jark Matter. He changed his mind when he saw that Naga was in danger and joined the Kyurangers.
* HeroicBSOD: Goes into a massive one in ''Space 28'' [[spoiler:after his downright suicidal attempts to bring back Naga still fail.]]
* ImageSong: Super Awesome Dance (shares with Naga)
* {{Irony}}:
** Libra is a constellation that represents the scales of justice; Balance is a thief.
** Balance is born on March 26, making him an Aries, which is the opposite of Libra on the zodiac wheel.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: {{Pun}} aside, he'll set his goals aside for Naga's sake.
* LargeHam: Oh so hammy.
* MechanicalLifeform: Is from a race of robot-like non-organic creatures.
* NonUniformUniform: His team jacket is actually just a new paint job, and his Tenbin Gold suit has additional armor plates and a mouth grill instead of molded lips.
* OddNameOut: All of the members have an animal theme to them...except for this guy, who's themed after balancing scales.
* PowerOfTheSun: He's solar powered and, when in the light of Leo Red Sun, becomes powered up ''and very hyper.''
* Really700YearsOld: Is easily the oldest of the Kyurangers at 300 years old. According to him, he's actually one of the youngest members of his clan.
** ''Space 14'' has a magic box that will age anyone who opens it by 100 years... but Balance opens it and it's a NoSell. Not even a comical fake beard and eyebrows. Well, his official age is now '''400''', but still.
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The Red to Naga Ray's Blue. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: In order to contrast Naga Ray's lack of emotion, Balance is ''full'' of it, having a dynamic personality (he even [[spoiler:''cries his visual sensors out'' after Naga comes back from his brainwashing]]). [[SubvertedTrope Slightly subverted]] however by the fact that he's a ''Mechanical Lifeform'', not a robot.
* SignatureMove: ''Libra Impact''
* SilverTongue: Has great social skills and likes to flatter a lot.
* ShockAndAwe: He can electrocute enemies with wires protruded out from his hands.
* TheSmartGuy: One of two with Raptor. Being a {{Technopath}}, as well as a mechanical lifeform himself, Balance is skilled with machinery. Fixing the Kyu Buckles along with Naga highlights this.
* {{Technopath}}: Is able to mentally connect with machinery through his tendrils.
* TraumaSwing: He is seen sitting on a swing in Space 28, mulling over the fact [[spoiler: that he needs to nearly kill Naga to get him back.]]

Balance's personal Voyager, a Libra Star System Humanoid Robot. Capable of analyzing the balance of atmospheres with the Libra Balancer within it's head which ensures that it keeps stability in battle, it specializes in missions on mechanized planets filled with powerful electromagnetic waves. The Libra Shields on both arms can be used as shields, as well as yo-yos and flying discs.
* ChestBlaster: Another trait shared with Hebitsukai Voyager, often used simultaneously for maximum effect.
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: Being a golden MiniMecha will do that.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: A MiniMecha based on balancing scales that turns into a KillerYoyo equipped arm is something that likely, no-one expected.
* KillerYoyo: During its FinishingMove.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Its primary function in Kyuren-Oh.
* MiniMecha: A trait shared with Hebitsukai Voyager, Tenbin Voyager is capable of assuming humanoid form without docking with Kyuren-Oh.

* BigFun: His big muscles come with a large portion of ham.
* TheBigGuy: He possesses superhuman-er-robot strength.
* BrutishBulls: His animal motif, based on Taurus the Bull.
* {{Catchphrase}}: [[Wrestling/{{AntonioInoki}} "1! 2! 3! Moo!"]]
* CharlieBrownFromOuttaTown: His "Jubeef"[[note]]Which was actually "Yagyuu Jubei" in the original, like the legendary samurai, the pun being on the ''gyuu'' ("bull") part of the name[[/note]] disguise is this to a T, simply being the Oushi Black suit with a Luchador mask worn over the helmet. Garu is the only member of the Kyurangers who's fooled.
* DefeatEqualsExplosion: [[spoiler:One of the few heroes to be on the receiving end, he was destroyed in an enemy kaijin's death by Scorpio's FinishingMove. Because of this, he had to be transferred to the Rebellion HQ to be repaired for a while.]]
* DeathOfPersonality: Discussed by the group in ''Space 16'': [[spoiler:after he's destroyed, they think it's possible that his memory circuits were damaged, meaning that even if he's repaired, he might not have his memories. Fortunately, it doesn't work out that way.]]
* DishingOutDirt: His Kyutama can make his Kyu Axe hard like rocky ground.
* EvilTwin: Thanks to Professor Anton [[spoiler:having worked with Jark Matter, all his research goes into building an evil Champ to take on the Kyurangers.]]
* FakeMuscles: In what may be one of the strangest instances of this trope: Champ constantly carries around and works out with a barbell despite not having any muscles to develop. It's a case of simulating the practice, not the result, since he's already built to be '''jacked'''.
* HesBack: [[spoiler:Makes a truly triumphant return in ''Space 21''.]]
** Then PlayedForLaughs in [[spoiler:''Space 34'', where the disturbing reveal that our heroes must distinguish him from the EvilTwin crafted from a prototype Champ is ruined by the real Champ making himself ''way too obvious.'']]
* HotBlooded: Acts very recklessly and often runs into trouble. [[spoiler:This actually gets the team in trouble when they meet Stinger. He just charges to fight Stinger and refuses to let them help, leading to Naga, Garu, Hammie and Spada dropping their guards enough that Stinger was able to incapacitate them for most of the episode.]]
* ItsPersonal: Towards [[spoiler:Stinger, who killed his creator. It was to the point he refused the other Kyurangers help in fighting him. Eventually averted when he learns that it was Scorpio that did the deed]].
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: While all the Rangers have unique traits, Black stands out: he's ''much'' bulkier and more muscular with his visor extending off his helmet. This may be because he is a robot who, unlike Pink and Gold, isn't meant to be an android.
** Worth noting, the Oushi Black costume is still about 90% identical to the unmorphed Champ costume, only replacing the helmet and chestpiece. Everything else is the same; he even wears the Seiza Buckle on top of his wrestling belt.
* NonUniformUniform: Rather than wearing his team jacket (most likely because of his size), he instead drapes it to his arm like a matador.
* ADayInTheLimelight: ''Episode of Stinger'' is this for him and Stinger. It takes place between Space 13 and 16, when they are on their own, searching for Scorpio.
* ParentalSubstitute: Professor Anton was one for him which is why he's very bitter at [[spoiler:Stinger, though it's later revealed that the latter's brother was the true culprit.]]
* PaperThinDisguise: In Space 34 the team meets "[[CharlieBrownFromOuttaTown Yagyu Jubei]]"[[note]]Or "Jubeef" in Over-Time's subs[[/note]], a large robotic wrestler who looks exactly like Oushi Black wearing a luchador mask (on top of his Ranger helmet), has a Seiza Blaster and a tattered Kyuranger jacket, and keeps speaking with the same accent as Champ and pulling "IHaveThisFriend" in regards to things Champ said or did. Garu is the only one fooled by this disguise (mainly because he buys "Jubei's" claim that he and Champ are just friends), which prompts Kotaro to outright ask "Garu, are you stupid?"
* PunnyName: Yagyu Jubei might be an inconspicuous samurai name. However, It also evokes the Wagyu cow prized for it's ''very'' high quality beef. It's why O-T used Jubeef as a localization of the name.
* PutOnABus: [[spoiler:Had to be repairs at the Rebellion HQ after being destroyed by Scorpio between ''Space 16'' and ''Space 21''.]]
** [[spoiler:He and Shou go back to the bus in Space 30. They remain in the past]]
* RedOniBlueOni: The red (one of two) to Stinger's blue
* RightMakesMight: Some of his lines in the first episode has him saying because they are the good guys, anything is possible.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: When he sees Stinger for the first time, he freaks out and jumps in to fight him. [[spoiler: Attempts this against Scorpio, too.]]
* RobotAthlete: Formerly a wrestling robot. [[spoiler:He'd defended his championship nine times successfully before Scorpio killed his creator.]]

** His {{Catchphrase}} is one to Japanese wrestler [[https://youtu.be/GSOcDKKSphQ?t=8m47s Antonio Inoki's catchphrase]].
** ''Space 3'' reveals his creator was named Professor Anton.
* SignatureMove: ''Aldebaran Impact''
* TheSlowPath: ''Space 34''. [[spoiler:Champ helped Shou into the cold sleep chamber 300 years ago, then went on his own to investigate the origins of Professor Anton, keeping under the radar with a PaperThinDisguise ''that somehow works. FOR 300 YEARS.'']]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: [[spoiler:A one sided one with Stinger. Champ still doesn't like him due to believing him responsible for the murder of Professor Anton. 423* BerserkButton:
** Being purposefully cold and emotionless, his anger at Scorpio is surprisingly detected in his voice when he decries his lack of a heart.
** Spewing bullshit seems to be going to be his next one, starting in ''Space 22'', when Ohtori claims to be the first person to travel beyond the moon, the first person to obtain a Kyutama, and the first person to unite the galaxy against Jark Matter. You can hear him yelling louder than usually in agitation over how hard it is to believe his claims!

* DittoAliens: In ''Space 2'' (and several other episodes by way of StockFootage), his entire race is portrayed by Taiki Yamazaki himself wearing only two sets of outfits; one for males that resembles Naga Ray's, and the other for the ''[[LadyLooksLikeADude females]]'', like Echidna.
* EmotionSuppression: Appears to be a GenderFlipped EmotionlessGirl. Justified, since his entire race does this to avoid conflict. Though he himself actually does want emotions.
** ''Space 2'' has him legitimately feel anger toward Jark Matter, literally his first emotion felt. Seeing as he joins Rebellion thereafter, this was an error on their part.
** [[spoiler:''Space 27'' shows what an unbound Naga is capable of, and likely why the Ophiuchus people went this route: he becomes an AxCrazy BloodKnight.]]
* EyeMotifs: This is used to symbolize his PsychicPowers and shone during his TransformationNameAnnouncement.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: He turned against the Rebellion after he was corrupted by Akyanba.]]
* GenreSavvy: He's the first one to catch on to Shou's SecretTestOfCharacter.
* GentlemanThief: Said to be this with his partner, Balance.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Akyanba does unlock his emotions... At the cost of his sanity. Turns into NiceJobFixingItVillain, however, when he comes back from the experience and realizes he now has emotions - the very thing he always sought - spontaneously.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:Thanks to Lucky and Balance's efforts, he was brought back to normal and turned his SuperPoweredEvilSide into his SuperMode.]]
* HellishPupils: On close inspection, he's shown to have snake eyes, which become especially prominent when using his PsychicPowers.
* TheHeart: Ironically it's the one that doesn't understand emotions that's adept at noticing them, and how others are acting on them. Naga's efforts towards understanding his own emotions makes him well skilled at seeing how his friends are feeling at any given moment.
* HumanityIsInfectious: Surely, Akyanba's control sped along the process of unlocking his emotions, but living with the Kyurangers did help matters a lot.
* ImageSong: Super Awesome Dance (shared with Balance)
* InstantExpert: After lucking out on the Kyulette, he's stuck on the Orion and ends up learning how to perform maintenance on it. Apparently he helped set up the Kyutama belt buckle system, which works just like the [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Ranger Key chest and buckles.]]
* MysticalWhiteHair: A psychic power-using alien who has Silver-colored hair.
* NoSocialSkills: The result of his species' EmotionSuppression. Though to be fair, he ''is'' trying.
* PrettyBoy: Another ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junon_(magazine) Junon]][[note]]a famous Japanese women's magazine, which features models that eventually become Toku actors, most notably [[Series/KamenRiderDrive Taiko Katono/Chase]].''[[/note]] award-winner, though his attractiveness isn't acknowledged until lampshaded in ''High School Wars'' Episode 2 when Hoshi Minato calls him "pretty boy."
* PsychicPowers: Uses them to paralyze opponents.
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue to Balance's Red. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* SignatureMove: ''Ophiuchus Impact''
* SinisterScythe: The Kyu Sickle.
* SnakeCharmer: His animal[[note]]both the snake ''and'' the charmer[[/note]] motif, based on Ophiuchus the Serpent Bearer.
* TheStoic: Even more so than Stinger, Naga will always wear a straight face, which is part of his race
* SuperpoweredEvilSide: [[spoiler: Hebitsukai Metal starts out as this, but turns into a SuperMode as Naga shakes off his evil side and learns how to control his anger.]]
* TheUnsmile: He does try smiling several times, but they tend to be hit-and-miss as he does so at inappropriate times or just tries too hard.
** He gets better after ''Space 31'', even if he still doesn't have exact grip on how to do that.

* ChromeChampion: Is one of these like its pilot.
* FangsAreEvil: [[InvertedTrope Inverted.]] It's sharp fangs make it a deadly and powerful weapon, but it's firmly on the side of the heroes.
* MiniMecha: A trait shared with Tenbin Voyager, Hebitsukai Voyager is capable of assuming humanoid form without docking with Kyuren-Oh.
* SnakeCharmer: Shares both the snake and charmer motif with its pilot.

A female alien ninja from the Chamaeleon System. She can change the color of her skin thanks to her chameleon powers. She is very self-motivated but unable to control her emotions due to her youth.
----
* ActionGirl: Not only is she a female ranger but she is also a ninja
* CatchPhrase: "Sooo funny!" or "That's hilarious" depending on where you get your fansubs from.
* ChameleonCamouflage: Can disguise her skin this way.
* CompositeCharacter: She has characteristics of the following sentai characters:
** [[Series/HikariSentaiMaskman Haruka]] for being a girl who was raised in a family of ninja.
** [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Luka Millfy]], to an extent, as she's sassy and tomboyish. She's also initially insensitive, though Spada helps to keep her in check.
* {{Expy}}: By themes alone, being a female, green, chameleon-themed Sentai character is very reminiscent of Mele from [[Series/JukenSentaiGekiranger Gekiranger]].
* {{Fangirl}}: Of Hoshi Minato. It's revealed in Space 35 that she's been a fan of him [[spoiler:since before he got famous.]]
* FemmeFatale: Exaggerated when she uses the Shining Kyutama (Moon Mode), becoming a seductive (and slightly sadistic) LadyOfWar. Comes complete with a Anime/SailorMoon transformation reference.
* GenkiGirl: Is curious and hyperactive.
* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Starts out as a giggly mini-skirted lass who fights along with the boys, and is more energetic compared to Raptor, the second girl.
** ''Space 15'' shows that she used to be a shy girl, so she didn't start out as a tomboy in the first place.
* GreenEyedMonster: It's implied that part of the reason she initially refused to acknowledge Lucky is due to jealousy that she has worked hard to get where she is and Lucky is more or less on her level due to his luck.
* GreenThumb: Inserting her personal Kyutama into her Kyu Rapier makes its blade flexible like a vine, giving her more range.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks: ''Space 6'' showcases her resentment towards Lucky as her desire to prevent him from being appointed as a leader. She rants that she has worked hard all her life to get to where she is, and yet he gets by with just luck. Shou Ronpo then shows her how Lucky has been spending the night training to bond with his sentient power-up.
* TheHyena: It's ''really'' easy to make her laugh.
* ImageSong: Karrakishi
* KidAppealCharacter: Youngest of the core nine, and the most energetic.
* {{Ninja}}: Is a self-declared shinobi from the Chamaeleon System. Being able to turn invisible helps a lot.
* PintsizedPowerhouse: A formidable fighter despite being the shortest Kyuranger.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: Zigzagged. She wear dark green tights between her skirt and shoes, but while she does come from line of nobility, her behavior is opposite of that of a proper lady.
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The Red to Raptor's Blue. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* RoyalRapier: Her weapon, the Kyu Rapier, which doubles as a whip during her FinishingMove
* {{Shorttank}}: Downplayed that she is a slightly tomboyish girl who usually appears together with Lucky.
* ShrinkingViolet: ''Space 15'' reveals that she used to be shy, quiet girl in her childhood.
* SignatureMove: ''Hamillion Impact''
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Zigzagged. Raptor was in the team initially, but as she was not a ranger yet, Hammie was the only female combatant. By the time Raptor becomes a ranger, the Kyulette is introduced beforehand that assigns only a portion of the team to the mission, so the two don't always work together.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Hami, or Hammy? [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs Or perhaps Hammi?]] TV-Nihon writes it as Hame as a play on "c'''hame'''leon".
** ''Space 24'' shows off her Kyuranger license and spells it ''Hammie.''
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Downplayed that she has the more proactive and energetic tomboyish streak compared to Raptor 283's consistent girly girl.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: In ''Space 6'' she refuses to acknowledge Lucky as the leader feeling that he's only strong due to his luck. She changes her mind when she sees that Lucky also does work hard.
* YouAreNotAlone: She hugs [[spoiler: Naga]] and tells him this as he suffers because of [[spoiler: Lucky and Balance fighting the Indavers and resident Malistrate settled up in [[BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind his brain]]. ]]

Armed with the Chamaeleon Tongue and the Chamaeleon Camera Eyes, it utilizes an Active Camouflage system which allows it to blend into its surroundings and then tie up its enemies by surprise using its tongue.

Hammie {{Lampshade|Hanging}}s on [[Creator/MaoIchimichi how they sound similar]] but both disagree]].
* AngerBornOfWorry: [[spoiler: When Shou comes back after sacrificing himself to save the team from Don Armage, Raptor takes him by coat and shakes him, yelling how could he make her so worried all the while.]]
* AscendedFangirl: She dreams of being able to fight with the Kyurangers and later realized she was one of them.
* BadassAdorable: Raptor is one of the most adorable of the Kyurangers and is also a great fighter.
* BecomeARealBoy: Raptor initially thinks she's malfunctioning when she keeps dreaming of fighting alongside her friends, even though it wasn't one of her intended purposes. Lucky is the one to tell her that no, ''all'' living beings dream.
* BeleagueredAssistant: Her serious personality makes it difficult for her to work under the ''incredibly'' quirky Shou Ronpo.
** During his Kyulette dance, she just flatly claps while saying "Yes, yes." in a tone not much more energized.
* BerserkButton:
** ''Space 2'' shows interrupting her lectures is a big one for her.
** Shou Ronpo's repeated ComicallyMissingThePoint [[EnragedByIdiocy is another huge one.]]
* BringIt: What she essentially says just before displaying her agility in dodging several homing missiles.
* TheDreaded: Hammie seems ''terrified'' of making her mad, a sentiment that Spada shares.
* DualWielding: Uses the Kyu Shot and Seiza Blaster together, one on each hand.
* {{Expy}}: Elements of her design look like a combination of [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Candelilla and Luckyuro]]. Temperament-wise she's like [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Yayoi]], being a {{Meganekko}} AscendedFangirl and CloudCuckoolandersMinder to [[spoiler:a goofy old guy who's the purple Ranger.]] And if the transformation lessons are canon, they've got the secret crush on one of the Rangers covered.
* FragileSpeedster: ''Boy howdy''. While she's not built to be a fighter-bot like Champ, Raptor's speed while in Ranger form is amazing, allowing her to easily avoid and dart around '''homing missiles'''. And combined with her ability to fly, makes her an excellent addition to the active team.
--> Raptor: ''Just '''try''' to hit me, I dare you!''
* GoroawaseNumber: 283 can be read as "tsu-ba-sa", which means "wing".
* {{Handguns}}: Her Kyu Shot.
* HerCodeNameWasMarySue: Before awakening her powers, Raptor spent her spare time writing stories where she was the heroine, able to beat even the highest level enemies without transforming.
* ImageSong: Dreaming Android.
* MissionControl: Helps guide the team from the Orion.
* MsImagination: Often gets lost in her daydreams.
* NobleBirdOfPrey: Her animal motif, based on Aquila the Eagle.
* NonActionGuy: Raptor was a GenderFlipped version, being made by Rebellion to just be a pilot but kept dreaming of fighting. Due to her refusal to give up, she gained her Kyutama, making her a legitimate ActionGirl instead.
* NonUniformUniform: Her Washi Pink suit has ''wings''. Unlike the other examples, there's nothing on her physical appearance to build on to form them.
* PluckyOfficeGirl: [[spoiler: During ''Space 22'', when she's assigned as an assistant to Houou Soldier, she imagines herself as one when helping him look up something.]]
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue to Hammie's Red. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: During the transformation lessons special, it is shown that ''she can eat cake.'' And in series episodes, whenever Spada is making a feast, she usually joins in. In Space 38, she's even shown taking a bath alongside Hammy.
* RobotGirl: She's a gynoid who is as mechanical as Tenbin Gold and Oushi Black.
* RocketBoots: Her feet have jump jets that allow her to navigate the Orion's exterior in zero G whenever needed. In her dreams she imagines them to be fully flight capable - as Washi Pink, she no longer has to.
* ShipTease: Transformation Lessons 4 implies that she might have a crush on Spada as she not only imagines Spada in love with her but nearly sharing a kiss.
* TheSmartGirl: One of two, along with Balance. Raptor's also good with fixing machines, but as the secretary of the Orion, she's also knowledgeable of all of the team's inner workings and gear.
* SignatureMove: ''Altair Impact''
* SimpleYetAwesome: Her weapon, the Kyu Shot, adds no parts to her Kyu The Weapon. Thanks to her flight and incredible speed, it's lethal in her hands.
* SniperPistol: Using the Telescopium Kyu Globe turns her Kyu Shot into one. Presumably, the Seiza Blaster can also share the effect.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The proper yet sassy and day-dreaming girly girl to Hammie's tomboyish streak.
* WingedHumanoid: Gains a pair of wings when she transforms into Washi Pink.
* WrenchWench: Has no problem with repairing spacecrafts.

Raptor's personal voyager; a Cyborg Bird from the Aquila Star System. Using its Aquila Wings it can fly perfectly through bad weather. It specializes in missions to gaseous planets or those with hard to identify land masses. It is able to nosedive from the air at high speeds and attack enemies with its Aquila Beak.
* CombatHandFan: Washi Voyager's usual arm function, though it's unknown if it can also use this function as a leg.
* FragileSpeedster: Like its pilot, it's lightning quick in the air, but it is among the Voyagers with the least output to attack enemies.
* NobleBirdOfPrey: It is directly based on Aquila the Eagle.
* PowerGivesYouWings: In addition to being a leg or arm, the Mecha fight in ''Space 23'' shows that Washi Voyager can attach itself on Kyuren-Oh's back to be its wings.
* RazorWings: It can slice foes with them, making it an excellent pair with Kajiki Voyager.

A cook from the Dorado System. His main goal in life is to become the best chef in the universe.
----
* BerserkButton: Questioning his authority in the kitchen is big one, and ''Space 8'' shows that even applies to metaphorical kitchens.
* BusmansVocabulary: He peppers his dialogue with cooking metaphors.
* ChefOfIron: Is a chef, but can also fight as well as his allies do.
* CruelToBeKind: In ''Space 4'', he continually forced Raptor away from her dream out of fear of her dying. However once Lucky [[WhatTheHellHero calls him out]] on this, he repeals his stance and asks Raptor what she wants.
* DudeNotFunny: In ''Space 1'', he quickly called Hammie out for laughing at Lucky being attacked by Garu before intercepting their fight, and seems to keep tabs on her behavior.
* FourPhilosophyEnsemble: He is a bit of a cynic with some optimism (mostly when related to cooking)
* GagNose: Invoked by the bill on his suit's visor, and even [[ImprobableWeaponUser used]] in the EyeCatch for ''Super Hero Time'' where he accidentally stabs Hammie's back with it.
* GratuitousItalian: Occasionally peppers his dialogue with this.
** Though sometimes French pops in as well, such as his 'Oui, Chef's.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: On paper, his specialty in cooking doesn't sound like something to write home about on a space crew...until you see how useful the dexterity of a master chef plays in the role of combat. Plus, someone has to keep every one fed.
* ImageSong: [[GratuitousForeignLanguage Bravo]]! Yellow!
* ImprobableWeaponUser: As shown in ''Space 2'', he'll "headbutt" enemies just so he can stab them with his pointy visor.
** In ''Space 15'' he actually stabs the MonsterOfTheWeek in the '''bottom''' with it, from under water. Swordfish, indeed.
* InUniverseFactoidFailure: In-universe in episode 43 during a fight against Madako. PlayedForLaughs.
--> '''Spada''': Fun Fact: I know 99 different octopus dishes! Takoyaki, octopus rice, tacos!
--> '''Stinger''': Spada...tacos don't usually have octopus in them.
* LosingIsWorseThanDeath: He hates losing,even if it is in something he's bad at,like Baseball.
* MakingASplash: His Kyutama can enhance his Kyu Slasher with the power of the ocean to swing out waves of energy slashes.
* MeaningfulName: "Spada", is Italian for sword (and thus swordfish, "pesce spada").
* ShipTease: He screams in horror when he thinks Tsurugi is kissing Raptor,he later [[BlatantLies tries to make his worry look platonic]] but Tsurugi doesn't buy it.
* ShirtlessScene: Throught ''Space 39'' where he's a Viking as part of the RPGEpisode.
* SignatureMove: ''Dorado Impact''
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Either "Spada" or "Sparda".
* SwordBeam: Like Lucky, Spada can use his weapon this way.
* TeamChef: The only member of a crew without a fantastic occupation but still very useful.
* TeamDad: Handles the cooking and looks after his teammates, almost to an overprotective degree as seen with Raptor in ''Space 4''.
* TheBigGuy: His role as a Viking in ''[[RPGEpisode Space 39]]''.
* ToBeAMaster: As stated above, his life goal is to become the best chef in the universe.

* ClassyCane: His Ryutsueder[[labelnote:note]]Dragon Staff[[/labelnote]] resembles one. [[spoiler:It is also his TransformationTrinket]].
* CrackOhMyBack: Has this happen to him a few times due to his age. Granted he's not ''that'' old (he's in his 40's, pretty much middle age) but he can't get too strenuous.
* CoolOldGuy: Even in the opening we see him dancing!
* DaChief: Commander of Rebellion.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:Years ago, he researched a system to use Kyutama not meant for the "legendary nine warriors", allowing him to transform into Ryu Violet and to give Rebellion a push with his rambunctious, hot-blooded spirit. This made the movement notorious for Jark Matter, making the empire send assassins to kill off most of its members. Worse, the system was imperfect as it couldn't hold the ranger form for a long time. This put Shou at the mercy of Ikagen and Madako, but his supreme commander Big Bear saved him... at the cost of his commander's life. And so he believed that only the legendary Kyurangers could fight off Jark Matter, changing from being a reckless soldier to a wisecracking commander, making sure that the Kyurangers live at all cost, even at the expense of his life]].
* DraconicHumanoid: Chinese dragon variety.
* DragonRider: Played with; he rides a dragon, [[spoiler:but in a cockpit rather than as a mount.]] Also consider that it's a ''dragon riding a dragon''.
* EccentricMentor: Puns, dancing, prone to kooky shenanigans, and an adherence to a lottery-based deployment system due to budget restraints, oh yeah he's definitely one.
* EdibleThemeNaming: His name is phonetically the same as ''xiaolongbao''. It literally means "the dragon's gift" in Chinese, but "xiaolongbao" is also a kind of steamed bun that originated in the Jiangnan region of China (in particular, they are smaller than the usual dumplings, around the size of a Kyutama). Like Shou himself, his name appears cool and exotic on first glance, but actually means something silly.
--> '''Spada''': So it's like the Chinese dish, xiaolongbao!
--> '''Shou''': No, no, no! Xiao (emphasized pause) Longbao! Yeah~
* {{Expy}}:
** He's a non-human, old-guy type mentor who is also a warrior with a very high level fighting skill and [[spoiler:would later transform into a Ranger form and personally join the battlefield]]. Kinda makes him similar to [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Doggie Kruger]] and [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Torin]]. What sets him apart is while Doggie is stern and Torin is subdued, he instead embodies traits of Dr. Ulshade by being ''very'' eccentric, developing back problems in ''Space 27'' [[spoiler:and turning into a purple reptilian Ranger]].
** His initial time limit [[spoiler:at first]] from using a prototype as Ryu Violet, as well as being a CoolOldGuy to the rest of the team, on the other hand, brings to mind [[Series/DenjiSentaiMegaranger MegaSilver]].
* FlawedPrototype: Ryu Violet transforms by forcing a Skill Kyutama to provide one instead of a natural Change Kyutama, and so is plagued with a strict time limit. [[spoiler:It loses this entirely once it becomes Ryu Commander instead.]]
* {{Foreshadowing}}: His "Wish Upon A Star!" line eventually leads to [[spoiler:his desire being granted by a constellation]].
* GratuitousEnglish: His lines include "HELLO EVERYBODY!" and "YAHOO!" with a thick Japanese accent.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: [[spoiler: It's mentioned that prior to gathering the Kyurangers, he fought alone against Jark Matter as Ryu Violet. However, very little of this is shown]].
* HourOfPower: [[spoiler:Ryu Violet has this problem. Fixed upon becoming Ryu Commander]].
* ImageSong: Path of the Dragon.
* ItHasBeenAnHonor: [[spoiler:Implies as much when he chooses to stay 300 years in the past - being a fully organic alien combined with his advanced years heavily implies he won't survive TheSlowPath. Subverted, however, since he's able to find the same type of sleep pod that Tsurugi used]].
* MakeAWish: [[spoiler:After getting his second wind, the Kyutama of the nine Kyurangers shine and give light, converging into the Ryu Kyutama. The Draco constellation asks his desire, with him wanting to be a Kyuranger to fight along side the nine legendary heroes]].
* MeaningfulName: See PunnyName. When he first introduces himself to the team, he immediately hands out a bunch of extra Kyutama. As in, he hands them his gifts to them.
* MysteriousPast: [[spoiler:Despite the uncertainty of the exploits he brags about, it's hinted that he has a genuine history with Ikagen and Madako]]. Later revealed to be depressing.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: [[spoiler:When the Kyurangers encounter Ikagen and Madako, he outright ''orders'' them to retreat rather than fight them]].
** [[spoiler:When confronting Ikagen and Madako, he changes the silly childish [[UsefulNotes/JapanesePronouns Japanese pronoun]] he normally uses for himself, ''bokuchin'', for the more standard and formal ''watashi''. This is carried out to other episodes where he has to deal with a serious matter, like in the following episode when he explains his past to the Kyurangers]].
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Naga believes that he ''knew'' full well that going to Earth would see Raptor join active duty, to which he plays down. [[spoiler:''Space 5'' more or less proves this when he reveals that Stinger was his mole the entire time.]]
* PungeonMaster: Likes to add "kyu"/"ball" in some of his sentences. Even opted for "[=OK=]yu!" which becomes a team call. References to roundness ("Let's turn this a-round!") can also be heard from him.
* PunnyName: His name in Chinese (xiaolongbao) literally means "the dragon's gift".
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As the series progress, he is becoming more competent especially after he overcome his guilt over Big Bear death. He learns how to be a good commander. Especially when he deals with Stinger.
* SadClown: He cracks jokes and acts kooky, but [[spoiler:it's likely to cover up the guilt and grief he feels at getting his friends and commander killed with his headstrong actions]].
* SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer: Actually revealed two weeks before the show's premiere through a live conference (along with the voice actors of the other suit characters), as only the Kyurangers were shown beforehand. He also doesn't appear until the third episode, though he does appear in the opening of the first episode.
* SixthRanger: Despite technically being [[spoiler:the 10th Kyuranger]], he otherwise fills the role in story function and timeline. [[spoiler:However, he more functions as the mentor-type addition to the team like [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger DekaMaster]] and [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Kyoryu Silver]] than the usual example.]]
** As far as merchandising goes, he fits the archetype (unique TransformationTrinket as well as a unique HumongousMecha that functions like the original Sixth Ranger Dragon Ranger[[labelnote:*]]It has no bipedal mecha form on its own but in itself is a capable dragon mecha[[/labelnote]]). He shares this trait with the other SixthRanger Houou Soldier.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Is it Shou Ranpou, Shou Ronbou, Xiao Longbao, or any combination in between? So far a [[http://i.imgur.com/mgT81qQ.jpg shirt]] merchandise uses Shou Ronpo.[[labelnote:note]]Do note that merchandise especially early releases tend to get it wrong, like misspelling [[Series/KamenRiderOOO Ankh]]'s name as [[http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/14cAAOSwEzxYQT1z/s-l300.jpg as "Unkh"]]. Later merchandising have fixed typos like that though. And there are seemingly misspellings but are considered official due to how they have been used in multiple sources and releases rather than a one-off mistake, like [[Series/KamenRiderDrive Gord Driver]], [[Series/HimitsuSentaiGoranger Gorenger]] and [[Series/KamenRiderAmazons Kamen Rider Amazon Alfa]].[[/labelnote]] Eventually they revealed his spelling as Shou Ronpo for his ID in the show.
* SwissArmyWeapon: Ryutsueder is a TransformationTrinket that is shaped like a ClassyCane that can be used for CaneFu. Its handle can be folded and contains a trigger, and the bottom tip of the cane is actually a barrel, making it a rifle too.
* SuperSpeed: [[spoiler:He has it as Ryu Violet and as Ryu Commander as well.]]
* TricksterMentor: Maybe. His sending Raptor down to Earth under the pretense of fetching peaches for him indirectly lead to her becoming a Kyuranger. Naga thinks that Shou knew that such a thing would happen and Shou's aloof reaction implies that he's right.
* TragicKeepsake: [[spoiler:His coat used to be worn by his commander predecessor, Big Bear. Though how he retrieved it considering the circumstances of Big Bear's death is a mystery.]]
* TheUnchosenOne: [[spoiler:Unlike the other Kyurangers, who were chosen by the Kyutama to be such, he wasn't. His Kyutama was a Skill one and he created a special device to use it as a Change one so he could fight. Eventually, his desire to fight and the other nine Change Kyutama grant his wish and transform it into one.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: In case you couldn't tell, his backstory reveals a lot of his character and how he functions in the team.
* TheWonka: He leads Rebellion, yet has certain ''quirks'', like being worried on catchphrases when the team is in trouble, or asking Raptor to fetch peaches for no apparent reason.
* WorldsStrongestMan: Is described as the "strongest in the universe". [[spoiler:In ''Space 8'', he gets to show it as Ryu Violet, going toe to toe with Ikagen and Madako at the same time and actually catching [[CombatClairvoyance Ikagen]] off guard.]]
* YoungerThanTheyLook: His official age is 40, 300 years in cold sleep notwithstanding due to time travel. Now while someone in his forties is a bit on the older side, the way he looks and acts make it look like he is around in his sixties. It's probably because his species has beard and long hair as per typical for a Chinese dragon.

-->Width- 18.4 meters
-->Length- 106.8 meters

Shou''s personal Voyager, a Draco Star System robot dragon. Originally this was just an ordinary Kyutama incapable of combat like the others. However, Shou's resolve to fight alongside the Kyurangers resulted in a wish being granted to become one of them. Thus, the Kyutama transformed as well, by having the very spirit of the Draco constellation infuse it with its power. The spirit of Draco gained a golden helmet and transformed into the tenth Voyager. It can attack by constricting foes and blasting them with fire.
----
* CoolHelmet: Gains one upon becoming a full-fledged Kyuranger Voyager. It also becomes the helmet of Ryutei-Oh.
* DragonsUpTheYinYang: Invokes this imagery by placing Shou's cockpit where the taijitu would normally go.
* {{Expy}}: Its introduction in ''Space 9'' mimics [[Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger Ryuseioh's]] iconic flight in the sun.
* FinishingMove: A couple, depending on if it's solo or assisting other mecha.
** Solo: [[ShockAndAwe Dragon Break]]
** With Kyuren-Oh: [[BeamSpam Dragon Meteor Break]]
* MakeAWish: Is how it granted Shou the power to be a full-time Kyuranger. It's also implied the be the Kyutama's original function before being modified.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: It is an Eastern-styled robot space dragon that can grant wishes. Is that different enough?
* PlayingWithFire: Of course a dragon would attack by breathing fire.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Certainly gives off this vibe, especially by being the base of its own mecha formation. Heck, in it's debut battle it destroyed two opponents and took no apparent damage from their attacks. And one of those was ''crushed''.
* SentientVehicle: Moreso than all the other Voyagers, as he could speak in his debut.
* ShockAndAwe: Charges itself with electricity before ramming into opponents with its FinishingMove.

Due to the nature of certain revelations early in the show's run, certain parts of this folder may have '''unmarked spoilers''', especially further down.
----
* AnIcePerson: [[spoiler:Implied to be his elemental alignment during his TransformationNameAnnouncement. ''Space 21'' shows his ice powers manifested, when he used the Kyu Spear's finisher.]]
* AscendedFanboy: He started following the Kyurangers after meeting them, joined their crew, and [[spoiler:became one himself]].
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: [[spoiler:The Ohguma Kyutama allows him to grow to mecha size and squash foes.]]
* BackupFromOtherworld: Big Bear can act as such for Kotaro when the lad uses the Ohguma Kyutama.
* BadassAdorable: How many kids do you know that would throw '''rocks''' at the monsters that enslaved their planet?
* [[BareFistedMonk Bear Fisted Monk]]: [[spoiler:Besides the [[{{Pun}} pun]], his Kyuranger form strikes with punches and kicks, and his mittens can even retract to reveal [[WolverineClaws clawed fingers to shred opponents.]]]]
* BearsAreBadNews: An AnimalMotif for him, reflected by his surname. [[spoiler:As a Kyuranger, he represents Ursa Minor ''and'' Major.]]
* BequeathedPower: His ability to enlarge himself comes from Big Bear lending the little warrior his strength.
* BigBrotherInstinct: You should '''not''' mess with Jiro.
* BrattyHalfPint: A [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] version, but his first major interaction with Hammie on the ship is calling her an "old lady" even though she was originally the ''youngest'' member of the team.
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: In his debut for ''Space 5'', Kotaro is seen wearing a [[{{Foreshadowing}} sky-blue]] vest, [[spoiler:which goes on to be his Kyuranger color]].
* DefiantStoneThrow: His original way of rebelling Jark Matter.
* EpicFlail: [[spoiler:He can use the scarf in his Koguma form as one due to the weights at either end of it.]]
* {{Expy}}: As an Earthling who meets an Alien Sentai Team, becoming a fan of said team, and [[spoiler:becomes an AscendedFanboy and the team's SixthRanger]], he's one to [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Gai Ikari]]. Personality-wise, however, he's got more in common with [[Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger Nozomu]] than Gai.
** Can also be seen as one to [[Series/PowerRangersTurbo Justin Stewart]], due to his [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience color]], age, and being a kid who hangs out with a superhero team.
* FinishingMove: Polaris Impact when wielding the Kyu Spear.
* {{Foil}}: Can be seen as one to Scorpio. Like Scorpio, Kotaro is the older brother, and Jiro looks up to him. Unlike Scorpio, however, Kotaro does not betray the Earth to Jark Matter, choosing to stay with his brother and people. To drive the point home, the little brothers in both relationships are associated with [[ColorCodedForYourConvenience orange]].
* HeroicSpirit: As soon as he met the team, he knew in his heart that he wanted to fight alongside them to save the universe, and [[{{Determinator}} would not back down from his goal]]. However, as even more proof...
* HopeBringer: While the team as a whole is one to everyone, Kotaro specifically wants to act as one for Earth, along with personally kicking Jark Matter off his planet.
* ImageSong: Blue Sky Boy.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: For foes that he can't beat back with his hands or rocks, he can [[spoiler:detach the ball sections of his scarf and [[EpicFlail smash them]]]].
* KidAppealCharacter: He's a kid on a superhero team; it's a given.
* KidHero: Is the youngest member of Rebellion, yet still helps the team.
* MeaningfulName: The "Ko" in Kotaro's name, in combination with "Kuma" means "Small Bear", and of all the characters named so far, Kotaro is the youngest of Rebellion, [[spoiler:and indeed, goes on to become [[BearsAreBadNews Koguma]] Skyblue.]]
* MythologyGag: This isn't the first time there's been [[Series/KamenRiderDenO a Kotaro associated with bears]].[[note]]Kotaro Nogami/Kamen Rider New Den-O was partnered with the bear themed Imagin Kintaros on one occasion.[[/note]]
* NervesOfSteel: From his introduction Kotaro's never shown fear of the force oppressing his world, or even of the Kyurangers telling him that fighting a war is dangerous. He's ''10'', mind you.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: [[spoiler:He is noticeably shorter in his transformed state than the other Kyurangers, being a KidHero.]]
* OddNameOut: Is the first [[spoiler:sentai warrior to have a code name use a shade of a color, [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment while retaining the base color in its name]]]] [[note]](cyan and navy had been used previously, but the former doesn't need it while the latter dropped the "blue" part)[[/note]].
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He's 10 and a Kyuranger; it's part of his job.
* PostVictoryCollapse: [[spoiler: He collapses after injecting Stinger with antidote]] in #20. [[spoiler: It was a hard fight to get there, so he was naturally exhausted. Stinger caught him and let himself be hugged.]]
* PutOnABus: He is sent at the end of ''Space 14'' to the Rebellion HQ for training most likely due to being [[KidHero underage.]] However he's back six episodes later.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red (one of two) to Stinger's blue
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Has one as [[spoiler:Koguma]] and uses it literally.
* SignatureMove: [[spoiler: ''Polaris Impact'']]
* SixthRanger: Like Shou, despite technically being [[spoiler:the 11th Kyuranger]], he otherwise fills the role in story function and timeline. [[spoiler:His type, however, is more akin to the likes of [[Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger Yayoi Ulshade / Kyoryu Violet II]], who shares the same changer as the core team. Kotaro has it worse than Yayoi, since unlike Ronpou and Tsurugi, his own Voyager is just a limb, rather than a main body.]]
* {{Sizeshifter}}: Can grow giant by utilizing the Oogauma Kyutama.
* TagAlongKid: Spends a couple of episode as one before [[spoiler:becoming a Kyuranger]].
* TokenHuman: He's the only actual human on a team of HumanAliens, regular aliens, MechanicalLifeforms and Robots until Tsurugi joins.
* TookALevelInBadass: ''Space 20'' shows the result of his training in Rebellion HQ. He could stand against [[spoiler: BrainwashedAndCrazy Stinger]] and got up no matter how far or how many times he was thrown.
* TouchedByVorlons: Ultimately became [[spoiler:a Kyuranger]] by proving his resolve to [[spoiler:[[ItMakesSenseInContext an alien bear ghost]]]].
* TheUnchosenOne: Arguably a subversion, since Kotaro didn't even ''know'' the mythos of the Kyurangers until he met them, but after they meet, he's eager to be one too. [[spoiler:Which ultimately comes to pass after interacting with the ghost of Big Bear.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: In case you couldn't tell from the amount of spoilers in this section, Kotaro is more than a random OneShotCharacter.

-->Output- 4,400,000 horsepower
Kotaro's personal Voyager, a pair of robot bear motor vehicles representing the Ursa Minor and Ursa Major star systems. Rather than being used separately, the Koguma and Ohguma Voyagers are a tag team that always belong together in a limb formation as one giant "Kuma Voyager", but can briefly separate to perform certain attacks and functions.
----
* BearsAreBadNews: To go with their pilot.
* CoolBike: Both of them are basically this, though neither plays it straight. Koguma is made to look more like a unicycle, while Ohguma looks more like an [=ATV=].
* CoolCar: Ohguma Voyager takes traits from cars and [=ATVs=].
* CoolSideCar: Essentially the role of the Koguma Voyager; it can detach itself and pick up extra passengers in its cockpit.
* OneWheeledWonder: The Koguma Voyager looks like a robotized unicycle.
* SpikedWheels: Koguma can project energy spikes on its wheel for bladed attacks, but they're more like chainsaw rather than being on the hubcap.

[[caption-width-right:183:Space Bu-Star]]

A warrior found within the Argo Ship, where he lay dormant in cryosleep for 300 years. In the centuries before, he was the first man from Earth to travel past the Moon, and also the first one to obtain a Kyutama. Thanks to this, he managed to unite the peoples of the universe as the first President of the Space Federation. When Jark Matter rose to overthrow him, Ohtori also rose to the challenge, and rallied warriors from each of the 88 Constellations to fight back, based on the Argo. [[spoiler:In the battle, he managed to land a crippling blow on Don Armage himself, but the battle had taken its toll on him and so he was placed in a cryogenic chamber within the Argo, which was placed into hiding in his homeworld.]]

Returning to the land of the living, Tsurugi finds out Jark Matter had stricken any mention of his battle against Don Armage from the records, and seeks to rebuild his legend, by himself if he has to - and [[IWorkAlone he definitely thought he had to]], until Lucky convinced him that, having the same goal to protect the galaxy, they are all in this together.
----
* TheAce: ''Claims'' that he's the first person to travel beyond the moon, the first person to obtain a Kyutama, the first person to unite the galaxy, invented the line of androids that Raptor is descended from, and [[spoiler: having killed Don Armage]]. [[spoiler: Considering the discovery of a research facility named after him by the Kyurangers in ''Space 22'', he might not be making all of that up...]]
** [[spoiler:Eris confirms that he was the first Kyutama holder in ''Space 23'', although she only says he defeated Don Armage rather than out-and-out having killed him.]]
* ActuallyIAmHim: [[spoiler: The Kyurangers think that he can use the power of the Argo to destroy the fleet Don Armage sent to destroy the Earth. He informs them that it's more accurate to say that ''he'' is the power of the Argo]].
* BadassLongcoat: Sports a pretty awesome crimson coat in both the past & the present.
* CatchPhrase: "Nante kotta!", which is an old-fashioned phrase used to express shock or annoyance; Over-Time translates it as "Holy moly" (sic), while TV-Nihon translates it as "My word!"
** His constant use of the word "legendary" might count too.
* [[DefrostingIceQueen Defrosting Ice King]]: Lucky's sheer optimism and determination caused him to change his impression of the Kyurangers, and even rubbed off on him down the road. In ''Space 29'', he outright admits to Orion that someday, Lucky might just construct a legend eclipsing his own.
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler: He is possessed by Don Armage in Space 46. The [[TransformationOfThePossessed resulting form]] is a red mash up of Kuervo possessed form, the "brains" Don Armage and wears [[NightmareRetardant Tsurugi's coat]].]]
* ExperiencedProtagonist: Is one of Orion's original group of rebels [[spoiler:and beat [[BigBad Don Armage]] himself in the past]]. As a result, he's ''far'' stronger and more experienced than the rest of the team [[spoiler:seeing as he and his team already beat Jark Matter before]]. He's not exactly quiet about this fact.
* FlashStep: Can perform these regularly, vanishing in a burst of flame.
* GeniusBruiser: Is extremely powerful and an excellent warrior, but also an adept scientist.
* IWorkAlone: Feels that the Kyurangers have done their share and now it's his turn, and only his, to bring Jark Matter down. He only takes Spada and Raptor with him to serve as his entourage. Eventually he warms up to the idea, and joins Shou with Spada and Raptor in tow when the whole team is divided in half for the time travel mission.
* ImageSong: [[GratuitousEnglish I Am Legend]].
* {{Immortality}}: He used to have it, granted by the power of Houou Kyutama. However, he sacrificed it to deal a powerful blow against [[spoiler:Don Armage]].
* ImmortalityInducer: The Houou Kyutama grants him eternal life.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: [[spoiler: Sho Ronpo reveals that Tsurugi keeps telling everyone to be his shields (which results in the other Kyurangers pushing him away) because he refuses to allow any more comrades to be in harm's way. After realizing that the Kyurangers will fight alongside him no matter what he tells them, and Sho revealing that about him, he quickly develops into this, actually caring about his teammates]].
* KingInTheMountain: Legendary warrior who's been sleeping for three hundred years inside the ''Argo'' and is awoken to help save the universe in its time of need. Tsurugi is also ''aware'' he's this, and not at all humble about it.
%%* LargeHam: Had some of his moments. (Too vague)
* LivingLegend: Certainly considers himself this and refers to himself as such...a ''lot''. In his defense, so far his bragging has held true and [[spoiler:Jark Matter apparently covered up his existence.]]
* MeaningfulName: "Tsurugi Ohtori" translates to "Sword Phoenix"[[note]]Specifically, his surname is an alternate reading of the ''hou'' in his Kyuranger name. It should be noted that the ''houou'' (''fenghuang'' in the original Chinese) bird doesn't actually carry the fire or rebirth motifs of the western phoenix. Nevertheless, "phoenix" is really [[{{Woolseyism}} the closest way to translate]] ''houou/fenghuang'' despite [[SadlyMythtaken being completely different birds]]. [[/note]].
* MythologyGag: [[Series/KamenRiderKabuto This isn't the first time a sword wielder has been named "Tsurugi"]].
** His color scheme, fire powers, and sword and shield weapon combo bring to mind [[Series/MahouSentaiMagiranger Wolzard Fire]] as well.
** Speaking of his color scheme, he's not the first SixthRanger to also be [[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger red and black]] [[note]]Incidentally, despite being officially a Red Ranger, he actually has far more black on his suit, with the only red being his helmet, torso armor and some TronLines going from that to the knees.[[/note]].
* NotSoAboveItAll: [[spoiler:After Shou Ronpo gets stuck in the past,]] Tsurugi briefly takes over the Kyulette Chance. Not with disco though... but with [[MundanemadeAwesome glam rock!]]
* OneManArmy: [[spoiler:Destroys an entire invasion fleet by himself, ''without'' a mecha. This was also just normal attacks, with the exception of the flagship.]]
* PlayingWithFire: He can manifest fire as his element, having his powers from the phoenix.
* PreAssKickingOneLiner: "Bear witness... to the birth of a legend!"
* SealedGoodInACan: [[spoiler:Has been laying dormant on the Argo for around 300 years until the Kyurangers awaken him.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Lucky's red
%%* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Manly Man to Lucky's Sensitive Guy. (No context beyond labeling who's who)
* ShirtlessScene: It's something of a RunningGag for Tsurugi - once when he arises from the cold sleep chamber and sheds off the remains of a hairy cocoon-layer from his whole body (which may just be a necessity for surviving the process), once when he removes it while healing Lucky, and again when he takes over the Kyulette dance in full-blown glam rock fashion (no such excuse for this one). It's not as funny when he tries to bat out a baseball-themed MonsterOfTheWeek, only for the sheer impact of the pitch to shred his top off.
* SixthRanger: [[spoiler:The 12th member of the team. However, functionally, and in terms of his debut's placement in the episode count, he's the most proper example compared to Ronpou and Kotaro, as he has his own unique mecha that doesn't need the others, and, as said above, is a CallBack to a previous SixthRanger. Later franchise marketing and and post-series interviews confirm him to be officially this]].
* SmugSuper: Is not humble by ''any'' stretch, but he can also ''back up'' every bit of his bragging.
* SuperPrototype: [[spoiler:Is the ''original'' Kyuranger, as in the first one to ever exist. He's ''way'' stronger than any of the current team, though part of that might be his huge experience edge.]]

!!Argo
Tsurugi's personal transport, and a legendary vessel made up of three constellations. In addition to housing Tsurugi, it can be summoned by Houou Soldier to ambush his enemies. It can also split into three components: Houou Voyager, Houou Base and Houou Station.
----
* CoolBoat: Made from the Argo Navis constellation, which itself is made from the Carina, Vela, and Puppis trio. It also served as the literal flagship and base of the first group of heroes in the same way the Orion does for the Rebellion. It also hides Ohtori's three vehicles when not in use. Plus it can travel in space!
* IfItSwimsItFlies: Honestly, par for the course for Sentai.
!!! '''Houou Voyager-Voyager Unit 12'''
-->Height- 18.7 meters
-->Width- 37.2 meters
-->Length- 47.8 meters
-->Weight- 1400 tons
-->Speed- Mach 1.3
-->Output- 12,000,000 horsepower
Hidden within the body of the Argo, Houou Voyager is a rocket with flame designs emblazoned all over it to resemble a phoenix. Houou Soldier rides in it as his personal voyager, and it serves as the main body of Gigant Houou.
----
* HotPaintJob: It looks like a white-colored rocket that has red flames painted onto it.
!!! '''Houou Station'''
-->Height- 17.7 meters
-->Width- 63.8 meters
-->Length- 25.2 meters
-->Weight- 1000 tons
-->Speed- Mach 1.0
-->Output- 9,000,000 horsepower
Another component of Argo hidden in its rear sails, Houou Station is a satellite docked in space that combines with Houou Voyager to serve as Gigant Houou's arms and wings. It can also absorb energy attacks, trap foes, and use its solar panels to slice them.
----
* RazorWings: The panels on either side can slice through foes.
* ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman: A satellite is easily the least often used vehicle mech in Super Sentai, but when they need something to jack Jark Matter's own intergalactic propaganda broadcasting signal network, it's ''perfect''.
!!! '''Houou Base'''
-->Height- 20.6 meters
-->Width- 29.9 meters
-->Length- 36.7 meters
-->Weight- 2500 tons
-->Speed- 200 km/h
-->Output- 20,000,000 horsepower
The last component of Argo hidden in its front sail, a mobile rocket base that carries Houou Voyager whenever it's inactive. When not in active use it, along with Houou Voyager are hidden within a mountain.
----
* BoringButPractical: A mobile rocket platform might not be the most glorious mech design, but when your main vehicle is a rocket, you work with what you have.

[[folder:Orion (Spaceship)]]
!!Orion
A huge spaceship who serves as transportation for the Rebellion as well as their home base.
----
* CoolStarship: It acts as a mobile base and home for the Kyurangers, houses the Voyagers of Lucky-Spada, and is sentient, though initially only Raptor notices.
* CoolUncle: Towards Raptor, to whom she's close enough to share her secrets with.
* DyingMomentOfAwesome: Oh, heck yes. When it's damaged beyond repair, it uses its remaining strength to crash into the Super Big Morimarz to prevent it from crashing into Earth. Godspeed Orion...
* HeroicSacrifice: Crashes directly into the Super Big Morimarz to prevent it from crashing into Earth.
* FunWithAcronyms: With his full name being '''O'''ffensive '''R'''esistance '''I'''nterstellar '''O'''rbiter of REBELLIO'''N'''.
* ItCanThink: The end of ''Space 4'' reveals that he is the "Prince" that Raptor has been talking to the entire time.
* OneSteveLimit: Retroactively. Being a spaceship, the Japanese dialogue sticks with "Orion-go" well before the existence of someone from the past going by the same name was hinted at.
[[/folder]]

!Mecha
[[folder:Mecha]]
!! General
The Kyurangers as a whole have an impressive arsenal with a higher degree of versatility compared to past Franchise/SuperSentai teams. Each mecha is made of a base robot that can then be substituted with ''any'' voyager acting as an arm or leg (as opposed to most previous teams where they were configured for only one location). Due to the nature of this versatility all of their mechas share certain characteristics via the voyagers.
----
* AttackDrone: The Koguma part of Kuma Voyager can be launched separately for a variety of attack, reconnaissance, and rescue operations.
* BatteringRam: Whenever Oushi Voyager is a limb, specifically an arm.
* CombatHandFan: Washi Voyager's usual arm function.
* CoolSword: Provided by Kajiki Voyager.
* FangsAreEvil: Or good, in the case of using Hebitsukai Voyager in a formation.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: The Tenbin Voyager's main function. Its plates can also slice or clamp on foes.
* MultipurposeTongue: The Chameleon Voyager can grapple foes with its tongue, or their weapons to disarm them. The Hebitsukai Voyager can also do this when extended in full snake form.
* PowerFist: The Ohguma part of Kuma Voyager seems to serve this function, with its hits rivaling Oushi's.
* WaveMotionGun: Sasori Voyager's specialty, though Oushi Voyager has a smaller one as a secondary function.
* WolverineClaws: By way of the Ookami Voyager, which it can make use of as either an arm or leg.

!! Kyuren-Oh
-->Height- 46.0 meters
-->Width- 38.0 meters
-->Length- 16.8 meters
-->Weight- 2,300 tons
-->Speed- 400 km/hour
-->Output- 20,000,000 horsepower

The team's CombiningMecha formed from 5 of the 9 Voyagers (Shishi Voyager being the only mandatory component). Together, they form the Ultimate Space Robot, Kyuren-Oh. By switching around the arms and legs, The Kyurangers have access to 1,680 different docking permutations [[note]]or 70 combinations[[/note]] ([[spoiler:with even ''more'' possibilities following the introduction of new Kyutama and Voyagers]], allowing the robot to adapt to any situation.
----
* ArmedLegs: The third Meteor Break Finisher variant. Tenbin and Hebitsukai both launch [[KillerYoYo their]] [[FangsAreEvil attacks]] at the target in a flying drop kick.
* BeamSpam: While the Voyagers can do this individually, and even together, the Super Meteor Break has the team pool their power together and fire off even larger blasts at whatever poor sod they're fighting.
* TheBigGuy: Naturally, given that it's a [[SuperRobotGenre mecha]], but even moreso when it's using Oushi and/or Kuma Voyager as a limb.
* ColonyDrop: One variant of the Meteor Break Finisher, combining Kajiki's SwordBeam with a meteor attack from Shishi. Hebitsukai acts as a conduit to make Kajiki's normal blade attack more fluid and whip-like.
* CombiningMecha: A franchise staple, but never to this degree of customization.
* FinishingMove: '''Kyuren-Oh (word) Break''', but it has some variations for the middle part, depending on which piece(s) the Kyurangers focus their Kyu Energy into and which Voyagers assist:
** Voyager Unit 01 & 06 & 09: [[ColonyDrop Meteor Break]]
** Voyager Unit 04: [[KillerYoyo Trick Break]]
** Voyager Unit 04 & 06: [[ArmedLegs Meteor Break]]
** Voyager Unit 08 & 09: [[TheStraightAndArrowPath Meteor Break]]
** Voyager Unit 09: [[SwordBeam Star Break]]
** [[AllYourPowersCombined Voyager Units 01-09]]: [[BeamSpam Super Meteor Break]]
* FusionDance: Can combine with [=RyuTei=]-Oh to form [=RyuTei=] Kyuren-Oh, and later Gigant Houou and the rest of the Kyutama to form [=KyutamaJin=].
* KillerYoyo: The Tenbin Voyager, during its FinishingMove in Kyuren-Oh.
* KingOfBeasts: Always present due to needing Shishi Voyager as the core.
* TheStraightAndArrowPath: The second variant of the Meteor Break Finisher, wherein Kaijiki's sword energy is funneled into Washi, whom then fires it out as a piercing arrow.
* SwordBeam: Kajiki Voyager's FinishingMove in Kyuren-Oh.
* WalkingArmory: A given, by having access to a minimum of 8 limbs which leads to ''at least'' 1680 permutation possibilities. This extends even to the middle of battle, meaning that any limb can swap with another.

!! [=RyuTei-Oh=]
-->Height- 53.8 meters
-->Width- 36.2 meters
-->Length- 11.7 meters
-->Weight- 2300 tons
-->Speed- 400 km/hour
-->Output- 20,000,000 horsepower

The team's secondary mecha, primarily piloted by [[spoiler:Ryu Commander]]. Unlike Kyuren-Oh, this mecha is only made of three parts: the mandatory base, Ryu Voyager, and two arm slots (the defaults are Sasori Voyager and [[spoiler:Kuma Voyager]]). It's an impressive machine with access to 36 combinations (or 72 permutations).
----
* TheBigGuy: Like Kyuren-Oh, it's a given as a mecha. Adding either the Oushi or Kuma Voyagers makes it even moreso.
* CombiningMecha: Given the franchise, this should surprise no one.
* CoolHelmet: Provided by Ryu Voyager.
* DraconicHumanoid: By nature of requiring Ryu Voyager to form the core.
* FinishingMove: Like Kyuren-Oh, it can use Meteor Break. Presumably, it can use its other finishers as well, provided it has the proper part(s) attached.
* FusionDance: Can combine with Kyuren-Oh to form [=RyuTei=] Kyuren-Oh.
* WalkingArmory: While not as extensive as Kyuren-Oh, 36 combinations isn't anything to scoff at.

!! Gigant Houou
-->Height- 47.6 meters
-->Width- 23.9 meters
-->Length- 25.2 meters
-->Weight- 2400 tons
-->Speed- 450 km/h
-->Output- 21,000,000 horsepower

The third mecha of the series, piloted, and formed exclusively by two of Houou Soldier's three units: the Houou Voyager and Houou Station. Extremely fast and nimble, what it lacks in versatility, it makes up in raw power.
----
* DualWielding: Two Gigant Blades, supplied by Houou Station.
* FinishingMove: Two, thus far...
** ''Gigant Houou Blazing'': Charging burning power into its twin blades, G.Houou performs a flaming double slash.
** ''Gigant Fire Break'': Using Houou Station to entrap the foe, Houou Voyager rushes the target, wrapped in flame and rams right through it.
* LightningBruiser: As a mech made partially out of a rocket, G.Houou is indeed fast. However it is equally strong, able to take on foes with just the twin blades it is equipped with.

!! Orion Battler

The fourth mech of the series, piloted (at least in battle) by Shishi Red Orion. Formed by a mere two units, the Orion Voyager and Orion Battleship, it's still the biggest part of the Kyuranger arsenal by a long shot. It can store and deploy Voyager units 1-11 via its Seize Scramble, as well as fire a powerful burst of Kyu energy to back up deployed units.
----
* {{BFG}}: Enabled by having Orion Voyager in firing position on the Orion Battleship. Every other mech can lend it their power to devastating effect, firing several MORE blasts as the "Orion Big Bang Cannon".
* CoolStarship: Orion Battleship by itself.
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: The actual Orion Voyager, which is somehow ''more gold'' than even Tenbin Voyager despite being a bit smaller.
* ItCanThink: It seems to house Orion's spirit. Possibly the Orion-gou's as well.
* LegacyCharacter: Counts as one to ''both'' Orion-go and the ancient warrior Orion.
* SuperweaponSurprise: Thanks to [[spoiler:Shou Ronpo]]'s efforts in the past, they were able to keep it secret for up to 300 years!
----
