!Note: As with many character pages, simply knowing that a trope applies to a certain character can be a minor/major {{spoiler}}. As per the Administrivia/SpoilerPolicy, the names of these tropes are left unmarked. However, spoiler information within these tropes (or others) is marked as best as possible. Administrivia/SpoilerPolicy also dictates that names not have spoilers; therefore, character names may have minor spoilers regarding their relationships. Please note that, due to excessive tags, spoilers before Season 3 may not be consistently marked.

The player character, starting out as a freshman at Burgmeister and Royce. While [[HelloInsertNameHere his name is decided by the player]], his appearance and large parts of his characterisation are set. @Tremolo on Rooster.

----

* TheAce: Depending on how you play. You could make the Main Character the top student in the class (to Magnar's frustration in Episode 8), an undefeated fighter, and a true Casanova.
* AffectionateNickname: Most notably "ass man" (by Derek) and "pervert" (by Quinn, though this one starts out insulting and later becomes endearing). He can also give his love interest pet names.
* AlcoholInducedIdiocy: Sober Tremolo is calm, well-spoken and thoughtful. Drunk Tremolo is rowdy, starts resorting to BuffySpeak, and often barely coherent.
* AppearanceAngst: When the Hell Week pictures are posted all over campus in Episode 10, Tremolo feels surprisingly affected by a "no body hair" comment on a picture of him. This causes him to not shave for some time, giving himself a stubble during the Thanksgiving party; he admits not liking it even at the time, saying he only grew it out to show that he could, though several of his friends tell him that he need not be uncomfortable in his skin. He shaves it off after the party.
* TheBeard: In Episode 10, if the MC has not committed to Maya and Josy and has told Josy about [[spoiler:Chad and Troy]], then he plans to act as Maya's boyfriend when invited to her house for Thanksgiving (while the same events also occur if he has committed to them, in that scenario he really ''is'' her boyfriend—the only pretension is that he is her only partner).
* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: Goes from a shy, unpopular bullied kid with little sexual experience to a confident and popular casanova with a large group of friends including the [=DIKs=], the Nerds, the [=HOTs=] and multiple teachers & strippers. See BigManOnCampus.
* BigManOnCampus: Becomes this as time goes on. While he starts out being bullied by the Tri-Alphas, kicked out of his dorm by Troy, and subsequently pranked by Tommy and Quinn, he quickly becomes a popular figure on campus, especially once he joins the [=DIKs=]. This is particularly pronounced by Episode 10, at which point, depending on player actions, he:
** Is an ace student, challenging even Magnar in terms of grades and endearing himself to his teachers.
** Becomes a de facto leader of Delta Iota Kappa, particularly after his efforts in [[spoiler:repairing the mansion and raising money for new windows]] in Season 2. He is entrusted with access to the laptop, which is restricted after the [[spoiler:Cathy fiasco]], and Rusty even entrusts his own car for Tremolo's personal use [[spoiler:if he successfully cleans up the mansion and raises money for the windows in time, saying that Tremolo succeeding is the only reason he still has the car]].
** Is on reasonably good terms with all the fraternities and the [=HOTs=] (bar the Alphas, but even this can be mitigated): he can be friendly enough with Magnar and on decent terms with the tri-Betas, is canonically very popular with the [=HOTs=] (potentially even seducing most of them), and can even be on good terms with the Preps, particularly if he declares a truce towards Gordon and Christian at the dorm party and subsequently allows them to enter the Halloween party.
** Can win, or at least hold his own in, every fight he gets into: he can fight off multiple Alphas when escaping from the gym, get a few hits in against Chad when the latter ambushes him, and even manages to force a draw against [[TheBrute Caleb]], with him only gaining in proficiency after training with Dwyane.
** Gains a reputation as something of a SexGod among most girls (including a few ''teachers'') on campus, particularly given his [[BiggerIsBetterInBed massive penis size]]. This is to the point that if Tremolo takes a dick pic [[spoiler:using Tybalt's phone during the Preps' party]] in Episode 5, several girls can recognize it ''on sight'' when [[spoiler: it is shown during Tybalt's presentation]] in Episode 7. This becomes even clearer in Episode 10: if an uncommitted MC ends Episode 9 by sleeping in his own room besides Gina, Tiffani and Tara, they unashamedly take part in the Walk of Shame, giving the impression that they had a foursome with him.
* BirthdayHater: Considering his mother died in childbirth, it's not difficult to see why. He goes into more detail about this antipathy when talking to Sage or Jill in Episode 6: he cannot enjoy it due to his closeness to Neil, who deeply loved her and who he notes to be "bummed out, even though he tries his best to hide it" every birthday due to it being a yearly reminder of her death; Tremolo confesses that he feels like the reason for his father's sadness.
* BrutalHonesty: On the DIK path, the MC tends to speak with no filter.
* BullyMagnet: From the beginning, the MC is on the receiving end of bullying attempts by the Alphas. Subsequently downplayed, especially after he joins the [=DIKs=].
** It is revealed that he was this back in high school as well, being bullied for being poor and not having a mother. After being taught martial arts by Neil to defend himself after being beat up one too many times, he once managed to beat up one of his bullies, leading to him being put into detention for most of the year and barely avoiding being sent to juvie. On the plus side, that is where he met Zoey.
* TheCasanova: A full or even mostly DIK route makes the MC come across as this, most notable when he breaks his word to [[spoiler:Jade about not showing anyone the video of him and her having sex, instead showing it to the rest of the [=DIKs=], which gets leaked to her husband]]. A CHICK MC leans more towards a ChivalrousPervert and EthicalSlut.
** This can hold even if the MC is in a committed relationship after Episode 8, with Episode 9 providing the MC several opportunities to cheat on his partner.
* CelibateHero: Astonishingly (given the genre), entirely possible. The player can potentially reject all the five love interests and decide he's not ready to date anyone. This can even extend to side girls, leading to Tremolo's only sexual encounters being in dreams or in the flashback with Zoey.
* ChickMagnet: It comes with the nature of the game. Almost every female character that you interact with will throw themselves at the Main Character at least once.
* ChivalrousPervert: He is always some degree of both, but leans more into "chivalrous" or "pervert" depending on affinity. In general he ogles and romances different women through out the game, even when he knows he probably shouldn't, but ultimately tries to do right by others.
* DatingCatwoman: A DIK MC can start a semi-romantic relationship with Quinn.
* DeadpanSnarker: If the player chooses he can deliver funny lines like breathing on both a CHICK or DIK path.
* DidNotGetTheGirl: No matter what he does, a MC with a DIK affinity won't end with Jill or Maya.
* DistractedByTheSexy: During episode 5, he is supposed to sneak in the prep mansion to get the [=HOTs=] to the DIK initiation, but can end up having sex with half of them.
* EthicalSlut: Can be one if you take aim to not sleep with any character already in a relationship as well as being open and honest in his sexual relations. Case in point, after learning Josy is already in a relationship and is having dinner at her house, Josy asks the MC if he'd like to stay the night (leading to a sex scene), however he can decline saying as much as he likes her it wouldn't be right to do it under the circumstances.
* EveryoneLovesBlondes: If he goes for Maya and any of the other blonde characters.
* FailedASpotCheck: Doesn't seem to know a lot about his friends and love interests, even when it should be fairly obvious given their reputation. He doesn't realize that [[spoiler:Rusty is a Burgmeister and Jill is a Royce, both scions of among the most famous and wealthy families in town who his college is named after,]] till he is told outright by them in "When Worlds Collide" (for the former) and Isabella lets it slip in "[=HOTheaded=]" (for the latter). He also doesn't realize that [[spoiler:Sage is Jade and Stephen Burke's adopted daughter]] till he visits their house at the end of "Crossroads". This can be justified for the final two cases, as both these people actively try to hide these details from him: [[spoiler:Jill because she is glad to be able to get to know someone who doesn't have the ulterior motives of seeking her family's fame and wealth, and Sage because she is fiercely independent and doesn't want to throw her family name around]]; however, it doesn't explain the first case, especially since Isabella notes that [[spoiler:Rusty has been bragging about his family name non-stop since he joined B&R.]]
* FirstLove: To Jill, if you choose to pursue her.
* FriendlessBackground: He used to be a loner in high school until he met Zoey. After she left, he didn't seem to hang out with anyone. Subverted later, once he joined B&R.
* GibberishOfLove: Has a moment like this in "The Initiation" while still working at the store and crushing on Josy, where he is practicing how to compliment her during their lunch break; he tries such classics as complimenting her new top and saying she looks "radiant". Josy suddenly entering has him startled and immediately try to use these compliments: while he does get complimenting her new top right, they're both in their work clothes, while the second compliment turns into "you look like a radiator today".
* GirlsLikeMusicians: Plays the guitar (for bonus points, is self-taught) and is very attractive to several girls on campus. This shows up most prominently with Sage, who asks you for guitar lessons, and Jill, a fellow musician (a pianist) [[spoiler:whose recital can be saved by the player's intervention.]]
* GeniusBruiser: If played properly, the MC can be the top student and one of the best fighters on campus.
* HaremSeeker: Played straight, for the most part. The MC can sleep with several girls at the same time without invalidating any route, even main girl paths (most non-main-girl paths are explicitly either flings or business). All these scenarios are justified: [[spoiler:Josy and Maya insist on keeping the relationship open once he joins the throuple]], he and Sage are FriendsWithBenefits, and both Bella and Jill encourage him to date other people, mostly because of them wanting to get their own feelings in order. [[spoiler: Eventually subverted; at the end of Chapter 8/Season 2, you will have to choose between pursuing one committed relationship or opting to not get into one (thus rejecting the Main Girls for the time being) and continuing to sporadically hook up with other girls (other [=HOTs=], teachers, strippers, etc). As of "Vixens", going one direction or the other seems to be mutually exclusive (i.e. you will not be able to pursue/hook up with anyone besides your chosen girl if you go relationship and you must stop pursing all main girls completely if you decide you don't want any real relationship).]]
** Notably, even if the player [[spoiler:chooses to break things off with all main girls, "Vixens" has several side girl relationships which tease or outright have a RelationshipUpgrade – Riona tentatively shows signs of wanting a relationship with the MC (notably, if you are already committed but had fooled around with her previously, she admits that she is not praying for his relationship to last), you can plan to go on a date with Nicole, and Quinn practically becomes an honorary main girl, challenging you to not have sex with anyone at the party in exchange for a special night afterwards in her room.]]
* HelloInsertNameHere: Has no canon name, with the player having to enter a name near the start of Episode 1 when Steve insults him. He does have a canon Rooster handle (Tremolo), which he also uses as a [[spoiler:stage name during Jill's recital]]. Interestingly, while the player enters his first name in Episode 1, they enter his last name in Episode ''9'', when Sage asks him what his dad's last name is [[spoiler:after he is shocked to find that she is Jade and Stephen Burke's daughter]]; this last name defaults to "Miller", implying that it is Neil's, and by extension the MC's, canon last name.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Derek.
* HotForTeacher: He can find several teachers attractive, and can even seduce some of them, such as Cathy, Jade, Isabella, and [[spoiler:Nora]].
* InformedFlaw: Downplayed as it crops up ever so slightly, but the MC is frequently accused of being overly sensitive, however it's more accurate to say he's merely impulsive as there are numerous times where he gets teased and rarely takes offense. Rather it's his impulsiveness that causes him to make rash decisions rather than him being thin-skinned, as ironically, with many of his love interests he ends up being the more emotionally mature person with a firm grasp on his emotions.
* InnerMonologue: It's a visual novel after all.
* InSeriesNickname: Goes by @Tremolo on Rooster regardless on the name you have given him; this has become a FanNickname for him as well.
* LikesOlderWomen: He can start an affair with older women in their thirties (Isabella, Jade, Nicole).
* LoversLedge: In episode 2, [[spoiler:he and Josy start to have sex when her parents suddenly came back earlier than expected. He is pushed out the window completely naked. Thankfully, unlike the last time he was forced outside au naturel, Josy tosses him his stuff.]]
* LovableRogue: A college version. He's part of a fraternity full of troublemakers but can still end up being an friendly fellow to practically everyone deserving of it.
* MrViceGuy: If the MC ReallyGetsAround, then it's {{Lust}}. Also [[HairTriggerTemper Wrath]] for a DIK affinity MC as he tends to be more hotheaded and likelier to respond with violence than a CHICK MC.
* MyEyesAreUpHere: Multiple characters call him out for checking them.
-->'''Becky:''' You're not that good at being discreet !
-->'''MC:''' Who said I want to be discreet ?
* NiceGuy: A CHICK affinity MC is friendly and supportive to his friends. This can potentially earns him the affection of the Main Girls, especially with Jill, Isabella and Maya.
* NobleMaleRoguishMale: The CHICK/DIK scale itself. CHICK choices tend to be more friendly, ethical, and chivalrous. The DIK choices on the other hand tend to be much more hot-headed, aggressive, and crass. CHICK choices lean more towards EthicalSlut whereas DIK choices lean more towards TheCasanova. While this can be zigzagged based on your choices, this becomes more difficult to do if you obtain either a permanent CHICK or DIK affinity.
* OddFriendship: With Sage.
* OfficialCouple: Depending on the player choice he can have this status with Jill, Sage, Isabella or Maya & Josy.
* OhCrap: Has this reaction with the revelation that [[spoiler:Sage is the adopted daughter of Stephen Burke & Jade Burke and Tybalt's adoptive sister. In particular, this one leaves his thoughts on just one word: "Fuck".]]
* {{Polyamory}}: Can be in such a relationship with [[spoiler:Josy and Maya]].
* ThePornomancer: This ''is'' an HGame, after all; the MC has a wide variety of beautiful women throwing themselves at him in every episode. This is, however, downplayed if he commits to a main girl in Episode 8; from that point on, he rebuffs all advances, although sufficiently DIK-ish [=MCs=] may be unfaithful.
* PrettyBoy: Multiple characters comment on how cute/hot/attractive he is.
* ReallyGetsAround: Oh yeah. The MC can sleep with about a dozen different women multiple times by the end of Season 2, and that's just within a single playthrough.
* RomanticWingman: He plays this role for Derek and Jacob in the [=HOTs=]' party in Episode 7 – having all the tri-Alphas leave the party will allow Jacob to make out with a partygoer, while speaking to Ashley about Derek and relaying her message to him will have her exit the party, only to emerge from Derek's room the next day.
* ShamefulStrip: He goes to the [=HOTs’=] house in Episode 1 to steal some panties so the [=DIKs=] will let him stay with them for the night. Quinn catches him in the act and then forces him to strip before kicking him out naked.
* ScrewTheRulesImBeautiful: Sometimes he manages to get freebies with the Restaurant's girls or The Pink Rose strippers just because the girls are really into him.
* SerenadeYourLover: MC plays his guitar for several girls, including Maya, Sage, Jill, and Bella.
* SexGod: Gains a reputation for being a great lover with nearly every girl at B&R as the game progresses. While [[BiggerIsBetterInBed the massive penis certainly doesn't hurt]] (and is brought up by several girls who know of its reputation), he does also make sure to be extremely communicative with his partner/s while in bed.
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: With Maya and Isabella. Though with Maya it's more lighthearted, whereas with Bella it's used for BelligerentSexualTension.
* STDImmunity: Ignores Neil's admonitions to wear a condom and yet never contracts an STD. Unusually for the genre, this is canonically ''confirmed'': on Jill's route in Episode 9, she will insist that the MC get tested for [=STDs=] in exchange for her starting birth control, and no matter how many girls he has slept with beforehand (which can be a ''lot''), he always tests negative. It helps that he is one of the few male characters who has not slept with [[ReallyGetsAround Arieth]].
* SupportingHarem: Potential shades of this if you only pursue one of the Main Girls but regularly hook up with/gain the interest of several Side Girls. [[spoiler:Subverted by the end of Episode 8 as you must choose to either enter a committed relationship with a Main Girl or to continue your sporadic hookups with the Sides (doing the latter causes you to reject/friendzone all the Main Girls you have been pursuing up until this point, and the former does the same except it's the Sides you reject.)]]
* ThreeWaySex: The MC can engage in threesomes with several female characters, especially on the DIK path.
* {{Troll}}: He can act like one, especially on the Rooster cluck. Tybalt and Dawe tend to be his main targets.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: Many characters underestimate how efficient he can be in a fist fight. They generally deeply regret it.
-->'''Tommy:''' You hit really fucking hard. I wouldn't guess that from looking at you.
* YouAreNotAlone: When Jill gets cold feet at her own recital, the Main Character can go up on stage and perform a beautiful rendition of Pachelbel's Canon in D (which he had been practicing for some time) to give her the confidence to perform.

[[folder:Derek]]
!!Derek Bailey
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beingadik_2023_01_29_17_12_04.png]]
The MC's best friend and maggot brother, Derek has come to Bergmeister and Royce for parties and women, and he sees the [=DIKs=] as the quickest path to both. He is Maya's twin brother.

----

* AchievementInIgnorance: He completed two tasks for the pledge board by having sex with Wendy while being drunk.
* AffectionateNickname: Calls the MC "ass man". In fact it became MC's official nickname thanks to him.
* AllMenArePerverts: He doesn't even try to hide it.
* ArmorPiercingResponse: Not from him, but hilariously and ironically receives one from StrawFeminist Minny.
-->'''Derek:''' I have full right to my opinions!
-->'''Minny:''' [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech And that's exactly what those are! Opinions! Opinions steeped in ignorance. Opinions that you treat like fact. Your opinions are highly temperamental, juvenile, misogynistic and have zero relevance to the facts and ironically even to the class literature. If you just had read the first paragraph you would clearly have known that feminism has always been about equality.]]
-->'''Derek:''' But-
-->'''Minny:''' And I'm not talking about female equality, I'm talking about mankind equality.
* TheBartender: Transforms his small closet in the DIK house into a bar.
* BedmateReveal: He turns out to be the "woman" in the MC's bed after the dorm party in Episode 8, complete with wearing women's underwear.
* BeneathTheMask: Derek, for the most part, ''is'' the boisterous, fun-loving guy he appears to be, but when the stakes get real, he is not confident in his abilities to tackle problems and prefers to take the back seat (in stark contrast to the MC who ''is'' willing to take initiative in solving several problems) because he believes that he "just make[s] everything worse".
* BerserkButton: The only time Derek drops his fun-loving demeanor is when you make any indication of wanting to go after Maya. The more of a dick you are about it, the angrier he gets. Gradually gets downplayed and even subverted if [[spoiler: the MC commits to Maya and Josy, expressing joy that his maggot brother will be his brother-in-law]].
* BigBrotherInstinct: He loves Maya a lot, and does what he can to protect her from their father. He also warns the Main Character several times not to hurt his sister.
* BrilliantButLazy: The B&R teachers have this impression of him, much to MC's shock.
* BromanticFoil: To the MC in multiple ways. A CHICK MC and Derek will form a NobleMaleRoguishMale duo, while a DIK MC will be TheCasanova to Derek's CasanovaWannabe.
* CannotKeepASecret: Unfortunately for the main character he can't keep his lips sealed.
* CasanovaWannabe: He talks a great game but only scores with very unattractive girl (Wendy), a retired teacher old enough to be his granny and potentially Arieth (which results in him catching crabs).
* ClassClown: Somewhat unintentionally becomes this in the gender studies class, drawing attention to himself with his outspoken opinions, which are not always unreasonable.
* {{Determinator}}: Goes to incredible lengths to complete the pledge board tasks for Hell Week. Most notably, if you don't sleep with Jade (or do but don't show Derek the video of it), Derek will seduce an elderly retired teacher during the car wash to tick off the "have sex with a teacher" task.
* DitzyGenius: Overlaps with BrilliantButLazy. Derek acts like a irresponsible {{Manchild}} but turns out to have really great grades, however it's unknown if this may be due to cheating.
* DudeNotFunny: Says this word for word if the MC jokes about his sister Maya having a bunch of dildos in her drawer in Episode 2.
* FakeRelationship: Has Sage pose as his girlfriend during the Thanksgiving dinner at the Baileys' house in Episode 10.
* {{Fartillery}}: Uses this against a security guard during Hell Week.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: Has this relationship with Maya.
* FriendInTheBlackMarket: For the MC. He can sell multiple cheat points to pass the tests more easily.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With the main character.
* HiddenDepths: Derek comes off as a flippant, sex-craved party animal, but is actually very sensitive, supportive, and loves his sister dearly. At the start of the game, he is the only guy who [[spoiler:both knows about his sister's relationship with Josy and is fully supportive of it.]]
* ImmediateSelfContradiction: During his introduction in the cafeteria in Episode 1, Derek says that he is "a lover and a gentleman"...right before loudly and fairly crassly commenting on the ample bosom of the ''teacher'' at the nearby table.
* LovableSexManiac: Derek is at college to party and to have sex with as many women as possible, and indeed is the driving force behind both of your admission to the [=DIKs=] for those reasons. He does, however, remain a thoroughly cool, friendly character throughout as your best friend at B&R.
-->'''Derek:''' Why don't you try to date more? Figure out what you want instead of rushing into things.
-->'''MC:''' What do '''you''' want?
-->'''Derek:''' I want to bang Ashley. I want to bang Camila. I want to bang Cathy. I want to bang Jade. I want to-
-->'''MC:''' You want to bang a lot of chicks, I get it.
-->'''Derek:''' That's what I'm saying! If you have many goals in life, you're bound to fulfil some of them!
* LoverNotAFighter: Invoked as he says so himself, though actually subverted as he's a CasanovaWannabe and it's the MC, who can fight, that can get around.
* MaleFrontalNudity: Multiple times throughout the game, and typically not in sexual contexts. Most memorably, he is completely naked after having escaped the HOT house after the panty raid, and is seemingly completely unembarrassed when trying to convince first Tremolo to stay at college and then Maya to let the MC stay with her. He also often apparently roams around the DIK house completely bottomless.
* {{Manchild}}: He embodies the trope.
* ManlyTears: In Episode 10 [[spoiler: He broke downs in tear after admitting to the MC how much he's affected by his dysfunctional family.]]
* MySisterIsOffLimits: He really doesn't take the MC dating Maya well, especially initially. This is more sympathetic than the typical example, however, as he is just trying to ensure that Tremolo isn't playing around with his sister, especially given that he knows about [[spoiler:her relationship with Josy]]. Indeed, if the player decides to [[spoiler:commit to both of them]] in Episode 8, he will enthusiastically give his blessing to the relationship in Episode 9, joyous that his maggot brother is going to be his brother-in-law.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: He's the main comic relief and spends most of his time shirtless.
* NotSoAboveItAll: If you go to Derek's room after [[spoiler:finding out about Josy and Maya's relationship]], he will insist that the MC is a "drama queen" and a "snowflake" who should be more mentally resilient, challenging the MC to insult him. If the player chooses a really cutting insult (stating that he is a CasanovaWannabe who women don't care for), he gets genuinely angry, leading to him and the MC slapping each other for some time.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: The MC is the ladykiller he always wished he was.
* PluckyComicRelief: He's basically the Stifler equivalent of the game.
* PolarOppositeTwins: With Maya. She is observant, quiet, studious, and starts the game in a loving, if turbulent, relationship. He is clueless, rambunctious, seems to care little for academics, and insatiably horny.
* RunningGag: His farting tendency is played for laughs.
* SadClown: As revealed in Episode 10,Derek is actually a very affected by his mother's condition and Maya's issues and much of his childish behavior is his way of coping with it.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Is this with Wendy from the feminist class.
* SkewedPriorities: During their conversation in the mall in Episode 3, the MC tells Derek about the rollercoaster of events that have occurred since they last met: Chad attacking him near the Preps' mansion and the subsequent disciplinary hearing, where Chad is suspended from all fraternity activities, and where Jade very deliberately flashes the MC [[BasicInstinctLegsCrossingParody Catherine Tramell-style]]. Derek's first reaction to these events does not concern the potential reasons for why Chad may have attacked Tremolo, or the potential consequences of his suspension; to even Tremolo's astonishment, it is "Was it hairy?"
* SpeedSex: In Episode 4, he ends up having sex with Wendy while being drunk. He doesn't last long.
* StraightManAndWiseGuy: The Wise Guy to the MC's StraightMan if the player chooses to act more mature.
* StrawMisogynist: Downplayed and played for comedy. As he only acts in this manner during the feminist classes, he even mentions how that class brings out the worst in him. It's also parodied when he interacts with the straw feminists in the class.
* TeenyWeenie: Zig-zagged. During the Gay Guard Catcher for Hell Week, he claims it was cold in there before anyone mocks him; then, after he has sex with Wendy, the MC is [[TooMuchInformation miserably forced to listen to her during the Gender Studies class about Derek's size being about average.]] When he asks Derek how he managed to get it up for Wendy, Derek says he was soft during the act, owing to how drunk he was.
* ThickerThanWater: Makes it clear that, no matter how much he cares for MC, his sister will come first.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Maya. No matters what it takes, he's wiling to go to incredible lengths for her. [[spoiler: In episode 10, he admits he doesn't really know what he wants to do with his life and only joined B&R to be by her side. ]]
-->'''Derek:''' That's why I'm in College. It's been cool to party and try to hook up with girls and all but I'm really doing it for Maya.Wherever she goes, I will follow.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: You see him up there? That's him basically throughout the game. He does deign to wear a shirt in class (sometimes) after Jade asks him to do so, but [[{{Troll}} insists on wearing only t-shirts with the most provocative messages]]. He does, however, proudly sport the DIK jacket once he has gotten in, though still typically without a shirt underneath.

[[folder:Josy]]
!!Josephine "Josy" Taylor
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beingadik_2023_01_29_18_55_56.png]]
Josy has been working with the MC throughout the summer at the corner store near his house, and has been crushed on by him throughout that time. Josy has applied to B&R, but is worried that she will be rejected.

----

* ACupAngst: She isn't the flattest of all the girls, but she's not happy about her bust. It doesn’t help that her main romantic competitors are really well-endowed.
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Subverted. Although certain DIK options will increase her relationship with the MC, she is turned off when the MC goes on a full or mostly DIK route. It seems to be that while she enjoys some mischievousness. Basically, she wants a ChivalrousPervert, not TheCasanova or CasanovaWannabe.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Her heritage isn't mentioned but she has a darker skin tone that clearly stands out from most of the cast.
* BerserkButton: Attack Josy's friends and/or loved ones and this tiny, cheerful girl won't hesitate to attack.
* BetterAsFriends: If you've picked the [=DIK=] option for too many major choices (and thus have a [=DIK=] affinity), Josy will only be interested in being friends with MC. Subverted in episode 5: [[spoiler:She will admit she still has feelings for the MC but was afraid to lose Maya.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's small and sweet, but doesn't hesitate to jump to her friend's defense to whatever extent is necessary. Just ask Tommy.
* TheCutie: The smallest and most adorable of the girls, Josy is cheerful, bubbly, and easily makes friends.
* DaddysGirl: Describes herself as one, even siding with her father over her mother when he cheated on her with Monica. Daddy, fortunately, loves her back: after Josy [[spoiler:runs away from home after getting into B&R and the fight with him and Monica, her father drives down to college in Episode 5 to give her his blessing and tell her not to worry about money.]]
* DanceOfRomance: If romanced, she and MC dance together in Chapter 8, and Elena can be heard in the background commenting on how Josy is falling in love with him.
* DesperatelyCravesAffection: It is only heavily implied, but is perhaps Josy's most central character trait; notably, it shows up much more clearly if you ''aren't'' in a relationship with her. Josy states that she hates the loneliness of not being in a relationship, which is why she hasn't broken up with her partner even though she is clearly drawn to the MC. [[spoiler:This is primarily because she is being kept apart from Maya due to the latter's financial circumstances and abuse; Josy's need for intimacy (and not just the physical kind) drives her towards the MC after their time working together. If the MC becomes part of the throuple, she has a fairly decent time of it, as she gets to be with both the people she cares about; if not, this trait comes up quite acutely, especially if the MC tells her that he still has feelings for her after the Preps' party in "[=HOTheaded=]"; Josy says that she has feelings for him too, but didn't tell him during the break-up because she was afraid she would end up alone. It's the biggest reason why she [[NotGoodWithRejection takes the MC breaking up with her and Maya the hardest]].]]
--> '''MC''': You miss feeling loved?
--> '''Josy''': More than anything...
* DoNotCallMePaul: Hates being called "Josephine". In nine episodes, only Steve in Episode 1 calls her that, and her response is less than positive.
* FirstLove: For [[spoiler:Maya]].
* FreudianExcuse: It is implied that Josy being InLoveWithLove and her fear of ending up alone are related to her parents' divorce at a young age.
* GirlNextDoor: Josy is the first of the girls that you meet in the game, and you already have some history with her prior to the game's events due to working with her at a corner store and having a crush on her the whole time. She's incredibly sweet, open, and down-to-earth, and wants nothing but the best for you.
* GenkiGirl: She always seems full of energy and excited to take on the next obstacle.
* GroinAttack: If the MC doesn't fight Tommy in Episode 6, Josy will avenge him by kicking Tommy in the balls.
* HeightAngst: Multiple characters mention how tiny she is. It visibly comes up during the [=HOTs=] party in Episode 7, when she is talking to [[StatuesqueStunner Sage and Heather]] (both of whom are even wearing heels, while Josy is in flats) making her feel like they are towering over her; this makes her even more uncomfortable given that this is her first party [[spoiler:as a HOT sister]].
-->'''MC:''' I didn't know you were self-conscious about your height.
-->'''Josy:''' I don't get self-conscious about many things, but yeah, I wish I were a few inches taller.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Shares them with [[spoiler:her girlfriend, Maya.]]
* InterruptedIntimacy: In episode 2, if you [[spoiler:stay at her house during your visit during your first weekend after joining B&R, she and the MC start to have sex when her parents suddenly come back earlier than expected. She is forced to [[LoversLedge throw you out of the house through the window]].]]
* LipstickLesbian: Downplayed. She's bisexual and can be in a three-way relationship with [[spoiler: the MC and Maya]] and is fairly feminine.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Josy can be seduced in several unorthodox places, including a gym bathroom and a water park [[spoiler:with Maya if the MC is in the throuple.]]
* MasterOfTheMixedMessage: Comes off as this in large parts of Season 1. When the MC tells her that he has had a crush on her all summer, she is the one who pulls him in to kiss him, only to immediately say that they cannot be together because she is already in a relationship. Later, when Tremolo visits her during his first weekend at B&R in Episode 2, she talks about how she loves her partner, but also how hard things are going between them; she is also the one who both asks Tremolo to stay the night at her home and the one who initiates sex if he does. The ending of Episode 3 explains this: [[spoiler:her partner is ''Maya'', and the two have been driven apart due to Patrick's FinancialAbuse of Maya; Josy, feeling utterly lonely due to being InLoveWithLove, jumps at the chance to be with the MC, only to retreat because of guilt]].
* NiceGirl: She is nice to everyone and encourages MC to seek happiness, even if it isn't with her.
* NotGoodWithRejection: Of all the girls who can be broken up with in Episode 8, Josy takes it the absolute hardest (even harder than Jill, who ThinksLikeARomanceNovel). Every other MG, Maya included, will stay friendly with him – not Josy, who explicitly refuses to consider being friends. A notable scene has her checking her laptop and finding the picture she took with the MC in Episode 1; she deletes the picture and tries to clear the recycle bin, but cannot bring herself to do it; this is in contrast to Jill who, if you are not in a relationship with her and have clearly indicated that you have moved on from her, cuts the "Are you my destiny?" Polaroid after the Halloween party.
-->I wanted us. And you better fucking believe it...I wanted you.
* {{Polyamory}}: [[spoiler:She and Maya will invite the MC into their relationship if certain conditions are met and he accepts.]]
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:She's Maya's girlfriend.]]
* SoreLoser: Unlike Maya she doesn't take well being rejected in favor of another love interest. If the MC decides to start focusing on Sage, Isabella or Jill; Josy is crushed, and runs off crying, refusing to accept just simple friendship, which stuns and disturbs the MC.
* SpoiledSweet: Downplayed compared to Jill, but still present. Josy says she doesn't need to worry about student loans to pay her way through college, and unlike [[spoiler:Maya]] can do so no strings attached. She is still one of the sweetest characters in the game.
* SympatheticAdulterer: A very complicated example, along with [[spoiler:her girlfriend Maya]] throughout most of Season 1. She does commit, at minimum, emotional infidelity with the MC (and possibly sleep with him in Episode 2), but she remains sympathetic because [[spoiler:she is being kept apart from Maya due to the latter's father's FinancialAbuse of her]]. This causes a severe strain on their relationship, and this combined with her time working with the MC, along with her fear of ending up alone, leads her to [[AbsenceMakesTheHeartGoYonder seek love with him.]] It also doesn't hurt that [[spoiler:Maya has also been cheating on her, with the same man, for essentially the same reasons.]] Once the MC reveals all in the end of Episode 4, [[spoiler:Josy tearfully apologizes to Maya and gets back together with her, potentially adding the MC into their relationship.]]

The first female friend the MC makes at B&R, Maya is a sweet but reserved freshman who is desperate to be a member of the [=HOTs=]. She is Derek's sister.

----

* BatmanGambit: To complete the harder tasks Quinn gave her, she showed staged pictures to Arieth as proofs knowing Arieth wouldn't notice anything. It worked just as planned.
* BetterAsFriends: If you've picked the [=DIK=] option for too many major choices (and thus have a [=DIK=] affinity), Maya will only be interested in being friends with MC.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: After being pushed to the brink by Quinn, Maya slaps Quinn and begins standing up to her, shocking everyone and even getting Quinn to respect her for it.
* BigPrickBigProblems: Not her, but during her and the MC's first sex scene she finds it too painful initially, leading to her and the MC to defy the trope and subvert it later on once she gets used to it.
* ButtMonkey: Quinn loves using Maya as one because of her having more reservations about the kind of life the sorority leads. Eventually defied once Maya stands up to her.
* CharacterDevelopment: Particularly if you pursue her [[spoiler: and Josy]] in which she will slowly but surely become more adventurous and come out of her shell. Case in point, Maya would rather stay in her dorm and is really only joining the [=HOTs=] for the chance at free tuition. By the end of the first season [[spoiler: she decides to join the [=HOTs=] and have sex with the MC in empty classrooms and behind green screens at parties]]. Compare this to the beginning where she was a NervousWreck about flirting in the library and having sex in public.
* DamselInDistress: Has shades of it.
* DamselOutOfDistress: Even before the MC tries to assist her, she consistently looks for ways to get out of her predicament regarding the HOT's scavenger hunt and [[spoiler: needing free tuition to escape from her father]].
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Maya grew up with her hyper-conservative father, who completely wrecked her self-esteem by his treatment of her after finding out about her relationship with Josy. He also [[FinancialAbuse tricked her into co-signing a bunch of student loans]] to financially coerce her into staying away from her girlfriend. Additionally, she's only just now finding herself more, especially when it comes to her sexuality given that, before MC, she was only ever truly interested in girls, even if she had dated boys before.
* DatingWhatDaddyHates: [[spoiler:She's Josy's girlfriend, something that her hyper-conservative father can't tolerate.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: A more playful and affectionate variant, overlapping with TheGadfly. On her route the MC and Maya will trade affectionate jests aimed at one another. She's more biting towards those who earn her ire, such as Becky.
* TheDogBitesBack: Against Quinn when [[spoiler: it's revealed the free tuition was a lie]], leading Maya to BitchSlap her across the face.
* EasilyForgiven: Justified. The MC holds no grudge for the fact she involuntarily helped Quinn kidnap him for the Cumpetition as she herself didn't know Quinn would tase him and did not enjoy taking part in it.
* FirstNameBasis: She only reveals her full name while roaming around campus during the dorm party in Episode 8, leading to the MC jokingly calling her [[UsefulNotes/QueenVictoria "Princess Victoria"]]. When the MC calls her "Vicky" while having sex in the classroom, she reveals that "Victoria" came from her grandmother; [[ParentalSexualitySquick Tremolo decides to stick with "Maya" after that.]]
* {{Foil}}: To the MC:
** While the MC has a great relationship with his father, Maya fears and hates her father.
** Maya is Derek's twin sister, while MC is his Maggot Brother.
** Maya's personality is "set" for the most part (she can only be pursued with a [=CHICK=] or [=Neutral=] affinity) but is discovering her sexuality, while MC's sexuality is set but is still discovering who he is (a [=DIK=], [=CHICK=], or Neutral).
** MC creates art in the form of music, while Maya absorbs art in the form of film.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: The responsible sibling to Derek's foolish sibling.
* TheGadfly: Subdued example, as she's only like this with the MC, [[RomanticRibbing particularly so if he's in a relationship with her.]]
* GoalInLife: To be a social worker and specifically help kids in abusive households [[spoiler: like herself]].
* GracefulLoser: If [[spoiler:she and Josy are rejected]] in Episode 9, she takes it significantly better than [[spoiler:Josy, who walks away weeping. In Episode 10, while Josy refuses to accept just simple friendship with the MC, Maya holds no grudge and even wishes the main character the best with his current girlfriend. ]].
* GreenEyedMonster: To Josy, though it is downplayed and entirely sympathetic. After the Preps' party, she sees Josy's father having driven down to B&R after she ran away from home following her fight with him and Monica, affectionately embracing her and telling her to not worry about money. Maya, who has had to fight her father ever since [[spoiler:she came out about her relationship with Josy]] and whose need for the money to pay tuition [[spoiler:due to her financial abuse at his hands]] has driven her to do things she is deeply uncomfortable with to join the [=HOTs=], storms out, feeling jealous of Josy's loving relationship with her father and the assurance of his support no-strings-attached.
* GrewASpine: Her slapping and standing up to Quinn counts as this.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: The only blonde main girl and the first person to befriend MC at B&R.
* HypocrisyNod: Asked for complete honesty from the MC, which he agrees to and asks for her to do the same. Except she doesn't and when called out on she acknowledges the hypocrisy, explaining how she has a hard time opening up to others out of fear of being judged and ridiculed. This is at the crux of when [[spoiler: it's revealed she's been dating Josy and both have been cheating on each other with the MC]] which she acknowledges and apologizes for, vowing to never again doubt the MC's trustworthiness.
* IJustWantToBeFree: From her [[spoiler: abusive father who tricked her into cosigning a loan]].
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Has never shown any interest [[spoiler:towards boys, even though she says she has dated a few]]. The MC is the sole exception. [[spoiler:Even after the MC enters the throuple, she seems to express doubt about whether she is "bi-sexual", though given that Josy was her FirstLove it's less that she's worried about being bisexual and more about whether she is [[SingleTargetSexuality anyone-other-than-Josy-sexual]]. She does, however, become much more confident in her bisexuality in the Throuple path]].
* InformedAttribute: She identifies as a feminist, but due to the game never really delving into those views specifically, you'd be forgiven for forgetting about it. TropesAreTools though, as this allows her feminist views to still be acknowledged while letting her be more than just that.
* InnocentBlueEyes: Maya's large, clear blue eyes, which she shares with [[spoiler:her girlfriend Josy]], in stark contrast to Isabella, whose blue eyes are of the [[IcyBlueEyes icy variety]]. This, combined with her HairOfGoldHeartOfGold, symbolize her friendliness.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: If the MC [[spoiler: tried to have a three-way relationship with her and Josy]] and ends up choosing someone else, Maya will tearfully understand and accept, thanking the MC for showing her another side to herself.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Light Feminine to Quinn's Dark Feminine. Maya's friendly, helpful, and easygoing. Quinn is irreverent, aloof, and flirtatious, and is a {{Tsundere}}. Both have a sense of humor and like to tease the MC. However, [[BickeringCouplePeacefulCouple Quinn is more provocative and demeaning, whereas Maya is more sweet, playful and innocent in her jokes.]]
* LipstickLesbian: Downplayed, though less so than [[spoiler:Josy]]. She's bisexual, though she starts out dating only girls and discovers her sexuality over the course of the game, and is very feminine.
* ListOfTransgressions: Dumps a list of the ways in which Quinn has wronged her.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: She and Tremolo can have sex in the water park, behind the green screen during the Halloween party, and near the toilets during the Thanksgiving party.
* MirrorCharacter: To Jill, also overlapping with {{Foil}}. Both Jill and Maya are the most innocent and inexperienced of the main girls. However, whereas Jill is inexperienced in general because of her virginity and her suitors having ulterior motives, Maya is only inexperienced [[spoiler:with boys]]. While Jill is SpoiledSweet, Maya needs a loan to afford college. In addition their relationship with their dads is similar yet different. Jill says how her dad was disappointed and didn't support Jill's sister, Maya's dad is unsupportive of his daughter's sexuality and is controlling towards her. However, whereas Jill's dad is portrayed ParentsAsPeople, Maya's dad is more or less abusive.
* MoralityPet: As seen under YouAreNotAlone, regardless of player choice, the MC will always support Maya and help her try to get away from [[spoiler: her father]]. This is notable in that her plot will always be followed regardless if the player is in a relationship with her
* TheMovieBuff: As referenced in her Rooster handle [=@Mayathemoviebuff=], Maya loves movies and a lot of the activities with her involve watching a film.
* MsViceGirl: Distrust. It's what causes her shyness, secretiveness, and dishonesty. Luckily for her, it's not so fatal as the MC will either remain friends or pursue a relationship with her and ultimately forgive her. Additionally, unlike Josy and Jill, Maya has enough flaws and issues to warrant her as this, but is still a good person through and through.
* NiceGirl: She's the first girl to show kindness to the MC at college. And flaws aside, she treats most people with respect and kindness. [[BewareTheNiceOnes Emphasis on "most"]].
* PolarOppositeTwins: With Derek. She is snarky, quiet, studious, and starts the game in a loving, if turbulent, relationship. He is clueless, rambunctious, seems to care little for academics, and insatiably horny. They couldn't be more different in term of looks and personality.
* {{Polyamory}}: Can be in a three-way relationship with Josy and MC.
* ResignInProtest: [[spoiler:Quits the [=HOTs=] when she learns that Quinn forced her to do far more explicit activities than the other pledges under the false pretense of free tuition.]]
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:She's Josy's girlfriend.]]
* RomanticRibbing: Her relationship with the MC contains a lot of this, back and forth.
* SadClown: Slowly reveals herself as one with all the lighthearted jokes she gives out, but as you get to know you her, Maya turns out to be hiding a ton of insecurity, stress, and trust issues.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: At the end of episode 6. [[spoiler: She quits the [=HOTs=] when she realizes that Quinn lied to her and won't provide her free tuition.]] [[spoiler: Subverted at the end of season 1 where she decides to rejoin them.]]
* SituationalSociability: Maya can communicate with others perfectly well, but still finds it difficult when comes to opening up to those she hasn't known for very long. Additionally, her interactions with the MC show her as a rather chill and funny person, but she shuts down when dealing with Quinn.
* SlutShaming: In the first episode she labels the [=HOTs=] as a bunch of sluts. Subverted, in Episode 9 [[spoiler: she will later regret thinking this way about them.]] In fact, much of her CharacterDevelopment revolves around becoming more confident and free-spirited, an example being [[spoiler: sleeping with the MC in a classroom during the dorm party and behind the green screen at the Halloween party.]]
* SourOutsideSadInside: Downplayed as she only shows this when [[MomentOfWeakness under a great deal of stress]]. An example being when the [[spoiler: HOT's free tuition turns out be false]], she lashes out Josy, before apologizing afterwards in class.
* StepfordSmiler: See SadClown. Lampshaded by the MC in episode 9 where he comments on how Maya's cheerfulness at the moment is a defense mechanism.
* StrawFeminist: Subverted and averted. Derek sets her up as one, but she is actually calm, considerate, and shows no hate whatsoever towards men and is more moderate. To hammer it home, she's even upset at how the other feminists in class have treated the MC and reading material itself. It's even to the point where her feminism comes across as an InformedAttribute.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Rare example where the sweet side is the default mannerism and the cold side is seldom displayed. She's friendly and easygoing to most people, but when the MC tries to get to know her better she deflects his questions and tries to get him to not pursue her despite possibly developing feelings for him. In addition, she treats those who get under her skin like Becky with snark.
* SympatheticAdulterer: A very complicated example, along with [[spoiler:her girlfriend Josy]] throughout most of Season 1. She does commit, at minimum, emotional infidelity with the MC (and possibly sleep with him in Episode 3), but she remains sympathetic because [[spoiler:she is being kept apart from Josy due to her father's FinancialAbuse of her]]. This causes a severe strain on their relationship, and this combined with her time living with the MC, along with her stress regarding being accepted by the [=HOTs=], leads her to [[AbsenceMakesTheHeartGoYonder act on her uncertain new feelings for the MC.]] It also doesn't hurt that [[spoiler:Josy has also been cheating on her, with the same man, for essentially the same reasons.]] Once the MC reveals all in the end of Episode 4, [[spoiler:Maya tearfully apologizes to Josy and gets back together with her, potentially adding the MC into their relationship.]]
* TearsOfJoy: Has some after the MC has sworn he'll always be there for her.
* YouAreNotAlone: No matter what happens, the MC is always there for her.

[[folder:Sage (unmarked spoilers)]]
!!Sage Morgan Burke
[[quoteright:928:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep8_sage_walk28.jpg]]
President of HOT, Sage is a senior at B&R concerned that her boyfriend Chad might be cheating on her. She asks the MC for help in proving that he is doing so.

----

* AllMenArePerverts: Invokes this towards the MC. While brushing their teeth together, the MC has the option to grab her butt. If he decides not to, she'll ask him if he's gay for not doing so. [[TheTease Hypocritically]], she lightheartedly criticizes him if he does do it.
* AllWomenAreLustful: Calling her "horny" would be an understatement.
* AmbiguouslyBi: In Episode 8, [[spoiler: she can have a threesome with Quinn & the MC. Her sexual interactions with Quinn are so passionate than Quinn & the MC theorize she probably had sex with girls before.]] In Episode 9, she mentions having made out with girls "for fun" before, and if Tremolo dares Josy to make out with her, Sage herself immediately moves herself towards Josy and kisses her.
* TheBeard: [[spoiler:Episode 7's ending reveals that Chad has been cheating on Sage with Troy; if you tell Josy, she speculates that he has been using Sage as an unwitting beard. If you tell Sage, her response seems to confirm this.]]
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The Reason why she's falling for the MC.
* BetterAsFriends: Has this relationship with the MC if he rejects her.
* BigSisterInstinct: Don't mess with her sorority sisters.
* BookSmart: To Bella and Jill's surprise, Sage is a very gifted student who takes her education seriously.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Her sizable chest is one thing the MC really likes about her.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: A more subtle version. Sage in the first couple of episodes is portrayed as a LovableAlphaBitch and HardDrinkingPartyGirl, however as the story focuses more on Sage's responsibilities as president of the [=HOTs=] these traits are largely forgotten in order to make her more of a responsible, yet still horny, TeamMom who is almost rarely seen being bitchy towards anyone or getting drunk at parties.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She spent the first season looking for Chad's secret lover.
** Subverted with the MC. She doesn't mind him having sex with other girls.
*** [[spoiler:In episode 8, after having a threesome with Quinn and the MC, she admits that witnessing the MC having sex with Quinn made her really excited.]]
*** [[spoiler: And even if she and the MC become an OfficialCouple, Episode 9 has her mention that she wouldn't mind having a a threesome with another girl sometime.]]
* CompetitionFreak: Sage mentions that she gets extremely competitive when it comes to games, and mentions it as a reason why she would often cheat when she was part of a tabletop gaming club. We even get to see it when she, Tremolo, and Camila play Dots (a BlandNameProduct version of Twister), and she gets Cammy to push down on Tremolo to ensure that she doesn't lose.
* EatingTheEyeCandy: She has stared MC's chest more than once.
-->'''Sage:''' I like what I'm seeing.
* EroticAsphyxiation: In Episode 9, While having sex with her, a MC with a DIK affinity can grab her by the neck while she's on top of him, much to her arousal.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: In Episode 9 [[spoiler: During a drinking game, both Maya & Josy admit they find her very attractive.]]
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: Changes hairstyle multiple times throughout the game.
* FieryRedhead: Sage is a redhead and certainly has the attitude to back it up when angered.
* {{Foil}}: To Jill. Both are girls coming from [[spoiler:a rich and famous family. While Sage would rather hang out with normal students, Jill tends to have richer and more sophisticated friends]]. While Jill is insecure about her virginity, Sage is confident and hedonistic. Both have an interest in music but Sage has never found time to learn an instrument while Jill loves playing the piano regularly. Notably, the two of them are the only ones who the MC can tell about the reason why he [[spoiler:doesn't celebrate his birthday]] (though not in the same playthrough), and their reactions can be contrasted, even though both girls are moved to tears and give him a hug: while Jill starts crying so hard she has to stop the car she is driving and give Tremolo a big hug, Sage's eyes simply well up and her hug is far more intimate.
** She also serves as one to Rusty. Both are heads of college Greek life organizations [[spoiler:from wealthy families]] whose hands-off approach to leadership (Rusty due to a simple lack of attention, Sage due to her stress regarding graduation) has led to their vice-presidents de facto running the organization and collaborating with each other regarding shady activities on campus. Sage, however, is cognizant of the financial management required to run the [=HOTs=] and [[spoiler:adamantly refuses to go to her family for help]], while Rusty remains dependent on [[spoiler:his father's money]] for running the [=DIKs=] till quite a bit into the story.
* FriendsWithBenefits: Can potentially have this kind of relationship with the MC. This will end, no matter what, in Episode 8, where the MC will either commit to her or break up with her.
* GoodIsNotSoft: She's generally kind to those around her but that doesn't mean she's going to let people getting on her nerves.
* GracefulLoser: Surprisingly, given that she is the most fiery Main Girl, she takes being rejected by the MC in Episode 8 almost as well as Isabella, a woman many years her senior (though Sage is admittedly the second-oldest MG, being a senior in college). She only asks that if the MC ever wants to be fuck-buddies again, she would be up for it but will not wait forever. Justified by how she and the MC were at most FriendsWithBenefits, never having even gone out on a date, unlike with Bella and Jill, or actively being in an open relationship like Maya and Josy.
* HandsOnApproach: During her guitar lessons.
* HairTriggerTemper: One of Sage's significant character flaws is that her first reaction to any unforeseen situation is getting angry, most notably whenever someone asks her a question that she is unprepared for. This becomes fairly prominent in Episode 9 if Tremolo has committed to her, when Tremolo asking her questions about her family has her angrily telling him to get out. While she does calm down very quickly too, it does mean that Tremolo feels afraid of bringing up sensitive topics to her. He gently confronts her about it in Episode 10 after the post-Halloween party cleanup, and she agrees that it is something she struggles with, asking him to be patient with her.
* HappilyAdopted: Zig-zagged. While she is grateful for being adopted, it makes her feel indebted to her parents, which is why she is adamantly opp. It makes her uncomfortable asking her adoptive parents for help. There's also the fact they don't like talking about emotions.
* HardDrinkingPartyGirl: The way multiple characters see her. Largely forgotten in favor of characterizing her as a horny TeamMom instead. See HiddenDepths.
* HatesSmallTalk: When Sage asks the MC for help when she is sick, after the completion of the hangout, he tries to make conversation with her by talking about the weather, much to her annoyance. She thinks that people should talk about uncomfortable topics, believing that it's a product of people being obsessed with being normal, and supports saying what one feels without caring if others disagree.
-->Gah! I don't get people's fascination with talking about the weather when they have nothing better to say.
* HiddenDepths: Multiple characters (notably Isabella and Jill) initially believe that she is a carefree party-girl, but she is actually very intelligent and a talented leader.
-->'''MC:''' ''[after Sage talks about her dissertation]'' You're really smart.
-->'''Sage:''' Um...I'm not stupid. Did I give you that vibe?
-->'''MC:''' No, it's just not the image I had of you in my head.
-->'''Sage:''' So, in other words, I did give you that vibe.
** [[spoiler:She is also the adopted daughter of Stephen Burke and Jade, and therefore Tybalt's adopted sister. Nevertheless, she refuses to go to her parents for any kind of help, and wants to make her mark on the world entirely on her own merits.]]
** Episode 10 reveals that she loves tabletop games.
* HoldingHands: In episode 4, to comfort the MC.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Probably her most obvious flaw. Her relationship with Chad mostly has her trying to salvage the relationship despite his blatant lying, not caring about her whatsoever, and cheating on her [[spoiler:with Troy while using her as TheBeard]]. Her friendship with and wholehearted trust of Quinn also counts; Sage trusts Quinn to be the next president of the [=HOTs=] even though she has been running prostitution and drugs out of the sorority and messes with Maya enough for the latter to [[spoiler:almost walk out on the sorority until Sage can convince her to stay]]. Lastly, without ever talking to Jill, she assumes she's just like her [[spoiler: brother, Tybalt]] and is dating him despite Jill being a NiceGirl who wants nothing to do with him.
* HotBlooded: She has a temper, she's wild and she knows what she wants.
* TheILoveYouStigma: When Tremolo tells a romanced Sage in Episode 10 that he doesn't want to be afraid to bring up personal questions to avoid her HairTriggerTemper, Sage confesses that she is still getting to grips with being in a real relationship, apologizes for getting angry when he asks personal questions she doesn't have pat answers for, and asks him to be patient with her, before she almost drops the L-bomb, to her own embarrassment:
-->'''Sage''': Be patient with me... I might get mad at times, but you know I still lo...''[panicked expression]'' like you.
-->'''MC''': ''[raising his head]'' What was that?
-->'''Sage''': ''[angrily, pushing his head back down]'' I fucking misspoke, ok?
* TheImmodestOrgasm: Every times she reaches climax.
* JerkassBall: In episode 9 in regards to Jill. Without ever having spoken to Jill, she assumes she's dating Tybalt and must be as bad as him. Thankfully, she gets over this relatively quickly.
* TheLadette: Downplayed, but present. While Sage is certainly feminine in terms of her appearance and style, she does often have a very stereotypically masculine attitude in several respects, most notably concerning language, sex and emotions: she speaks in a somewhat dudebro style, peppering her dialogue with "dude" and swears; she is extremely sexually forward and fairly aggressive, being the only main girl who repeatedly pursues the MC even after rejecting her; and her DysfunctionalFamily has left her unable to healthily express her emotions.
* LoveHurts: Her breakup with Chad left her utterly devastated. She's initially reluctant to date the MC because she's scared of being hurt again.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: How else are you gonna justify her being a LoveMartyr towards Chad?
* LoveMartyr: To Chad, who is cheating on her and neglects his relationship with her. Even though this causes Sage to possibly cheat on him with the MC, she still won't break up with him and is devastated when he dumps her.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Sage can be seduced in several places, including the [=HOTs=]' swimming pool, their back lawn during the party in Episode 7 (where Riona and Quinn catch the two in the act), and the haunted house during the Halloween party. [[spoiler:Like mother, like daughter, it seems.]]
* MoodSwinger: Thanks to her home environment.
-->'''Sage:''' I don't expect you to understand this but what I was trying to say is that we don't discuss emotions. And it has fucked me up. And as a result I tend to either bottle it up or scream it out loud. There's no healthy in-between...
* MsViceGirl: {{Lust}}. Horny is an understatement when describing her. Despite her cheating on Chad, she's still portrayed as a smart, loyal, and friendly girl.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Sage is genuinely saddened when she learns that Maya wishes to leave the [=HOTs=] after being harassed by Quinn throughout her time as a pledge, worrying that her lack of attention to the functioning of the sorority may lead to an accepted pledge rejecting them for completely valid reasons. She subsequently takes a genuine interest in Maya and Josy's situation, to the point that she is willing to [[spoiler: [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness ask her family for financial help]], something she would typically ''never'' do]] just for their sake.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Attempted when Chad breaks up with her.
* OddFriendship: With Quinn & the MC.
* OfficialKiss: When the MC finally commits to a relationship with her at the end of Episode 8.
* OnTheRebound: Subverted. In episode 7, the MC gets the feeling he can potentially end up being nothing but a rebound guy. Sage will later assure him she has never seen him that way and is genuinely attracted to him.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Heather's comments indicate that Sage has been an effective President of the [=HOTS=]. She goes out of her way to teach the main character about how the fraternity system works. She also tries to fix the mistakes made by Quinn and help Maya.
* RejectionAffection: No matter how many times MC can reject her, she won't give up.
* RelationshipLabelingProblems: If on her route, a large part of Episodes 9 and 10 involve Sage finding it difficult to describe what her relationship with Tremolo is. While they have clearly moved past being solely FriendsWithBenefits, she still doesn't know whether she can commit to being his actual ''girlfriend'', particularly given how soon this is after her breakup with Chad as well as her emotional problems. By the end of their date in Episode 10, however, she seems far more comfortable.
* RelationshipUpgrade: At the end of Chapter 8/Season 2, she and MC can go from being friends with benefits to an OfficialCouple.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:She's the adopted daughter of Stephen Burke and Jade, and therefore Tybalt's adopted sister.]]
* RomanceAndSexualitySeparation: Downplayed compared to, say, Quinn, but Sage certainly starts out keeping her sex life separate from her feelings of romantic attachment – notably, while she asks to be FriendsWithBenefits with the MC after learning of Chad's infidelity, she doesn't seem to actually want to break things off with him; indeed, ''he'' breaks up with ''her'' in Episode 6, causing her to feel deeply hurt. It's why Tremolo feels worried that he might be a [[OnTheRebound "rebound guy"]], though she assures him that's not the case. She addresses this if the MC commits to her in Episode 8's ending, confessing that she was worried that getting too deeply emotionally invested would lead to heartbreak (especially so soon after breaking up with Chad) and losing his friendship.
-->I guess I've been trying to protect myself by not dating you already. Even though it can get complicated... Sex is simple. Sex is fun. It's been safe and comforting... Which I needed because your friendship has come to mean a lot to me, and I'd hate to lose it.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: Initially seems to be forming a MasculineGirlFeminineBoy with the MC if he pursues a relationship with her, but it's subverted making it this. She's a MoodSwinger and he's [[MellowFellow rather levelheaded and has a healthy handle on his emotions]]. Best displayed in episode 9 at the Halloween party where they're trapped in the haunted house and she suggests having sex, to the MC's bewilderment.
* SeniorYearStruggles: Sage is determined to graduate with good grades and do well on her dissertation, and has delegated many of her duties as president of the [=HOTs=] to Quinn.
** She also reveals when planning the Halloween party with Quinn and the MC in Episode 8 that she feels scared that she will leave college without having experienced everything she wants to experience as part of college life, affirming that she will do her best to finish her "bucket list" any way she can, including potentially [[spoiler:having a threesome with Quinn and the MC right then and there.]]
* SexForSolace: How her sexual relationship with the MC starts [[spoiler: In episode 4, they both feel betrayed by their respective lovers ( Chad for Sage, Maya & Josy for the MC). They end up having sex to seek solace. ]]
* ShipperOnDeck: For the MC and Quinn.
* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: The only redheaded love interest.
* SympatheticAdulterer: Of the pay cheating unto cheating variety. Considering how Chad treats her and is cheating on her, it's hard to fault her for sleeping with the MC.
* TeamMom: Is this to her sorority, trying to get to know each girl personally, though this trait is much more prominent from Season 2 onwards.
* TheTease: She likes rating the main character sexual performances.
-->'''Sage:''' Hm... I'd rate it 3 out of 5.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially with Quinn & the MC in Episode 8.
* {{Troll}}: Episode 9 reveals [[spoiler: she’s the one behind the "Tyballs" troll account mocking Tybalt.]]
* WorkHardPlayHard: Her philosophy on being a student. She even advises the MC on how to seek balance during his time at B&R.
-->'''Sage:''' You can have fun and be serious about this. You don't have to go all-in on either end.
-->'''MC:''' I've been going all-in on partying so far and now I've told myself to go all-in on studying.
-->'''Sage:''' That's an approach you'll hate. If you want both, you should do both. Just learn how to prioritize and how to say no to things and you'll be fine.
-->'''MC:''' Is that how you do it?
-->'''Sage:''' I've skipped a few parties here and there, but I've also skipped a few homework assignments.

A wealthy, sweet girl, Jill is a junior living at the ANO mansion with the preps who helps the MC after he is wedgied by Dawe, and runs into him several more times afterwards.

----

* AllLovingHero: Jill always sees the good in people, and is genuinely nice to every person she meets. This is particularly notable after she [[spoiler:both learns that Tybalt lied to her about Trent wanting to sue the MC and about the fire in the mansion, and finds Tybalt masturbating using her underwear, which he had accused Tremolo of stealing]]: while she does [[GroinAttack kick him between the legs]], she says that she does not want to bring it up to the disciplinary committee even though she is within her rights to do so, because [[spoiler:she does not want to see Tybalt kicked out of the presidency, merely for him to leave her alone.]]
* AnimalLover: She's fond of horses.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: [[spoiler: Jill is a sweetheart, but gives Tybalt a brutal rebuke after finally losing patience with him.]]
* TheBigDamnKiss: In episode 6 if the MC confess his love for her.
* BigFancyHouse: Her wealthy family owns one.
* CaptiveDate: Is blackmailed into three dates by Tybalt, who threatens legal action against MC.
* ConcertClimax: In Episode 8 during her recital.
* DamselInDistress: After the MC and Derek crash the Preps' party, Tybalt blackmails Jill into going on dates with him to ensure he doesn't press charges on the MC.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Her missing sister was an outcast and it's heavily implied that Jill was a victim of bullying as a child.
* ElegantClassicalMusician: Jill has played the piano since she was a child, and continues to play it to the present day. She is very good at it, befitting her high-class status and elegance, and complements the MC (who plays the more modern guitar), though she does suffer from [[PerformanceAnxiety severe stage fright]].
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: When the MC is wedgied by Dawe after his confrontation with Chad, a passing Jill—at this point a complete stranger to him—immediately approaches him to help him, and giggles when she sees him clean some dirt off his clothes using saliva, immediately establishing her as upper-class and sophisticated as well as kind to all.
* EthicalSlut: Ironically the only main girl to fit this [[spoiler:despite being a virgin for almost the entire first two seasons]]. Out of all the main girls, Jill is the only one to not be cheating in some way, seeing as she's celibate at the start of the game (although whether Isabella is actually cheating is up for debate, Isabella herself seems to consider herself an adulteress once she sleeps with the MC). This is cemented in Episode 9 where she tells the MC she wants him to get tested for [=STDs=] and will abstain from intercourse until then to the MC's chagrin.
* FatalFlaw: Her naivete; while it does show up somewhat in Season 1 when she reports Chad beating the MC up against the latter's wishes, it is brought to the fore in Season 2. When Tybalt says that he plans to sue the MC for setting fire to their mansion (which he didn't, Derek only set off the fire sprinklers) and assaulting him (which he may have done, but only in response to Tybalt slapping him), Jill believes him completely and is willing to go on three dates with him and cutting the MC off in exchange for him not suing. It never occurs to her that he may be bluffing, or that he may not stop at three dates, or that the witnesses he claims he has to these events either may not exist or can be easily swerved given that [[HatedByAll nobody likes him]] and she herself is both very influential [[spoiler:as a Royce]] and [[NiceGirl very personable]]. Isabella even calls her on it when she tells her.
-->'''Bella:''' You're so naive, Jill.
-->'''Jill:''' What ?
-->'''Bella:''' That's the only thing on my mind at the moment.
* FirstLove: The MC.
* FlexibilityEqualsSexAbility: Averted. Despite Jill being an avid yoga practitioner, her flexibility does not figure into her sex life.
* {{Foil}}: To Sage. Both are girls coming from [[spoiler:a rich and famous family. While Sage would rather hang out with normal students, Jill tends to have richer and more sophisticated friends, even if she isn't averse to interacting with non-preps like the MC and Josy.]] While Jill is insecure about her virginity, Sage is confident and hedonistic. Both have an interest in music but Sage has never found time to learn an instrument while Jill loves playing the piano regularly. Notably, the two of them are the only ones who the MC can tell about the reason why he [[spoiler:doesn't celebrate his birthday]] (though not in the same playthrough), and their reactions can be contrasted, even though both girls are moved to tears and give him a hug: while Sage's eyes well up and her hug is fairly intimate, Jill starts crying so hard she has to stop the car she is driving, and she practically flings herself at him to console him. In addition, Sage is a SympatheticAdulterer whereas Jill is an EthicalSlut despite being a virgin. Notably, while Jill seems to not know Sage much, the latter loathes the former, believing that Jill is like her brother [[spoiler:Tybalt]]; once they find out of their mutual loathing for him, they get along much better.
* GrewASpine: Isabella tells her how she needs to do this, especially when it comes to Tybalt.
** [[spoiler:She finally does so towards the end of Episode 8 when Tybalt proposes to her on the last of the three dates that he blackmailed her into going on so that he doesn't press charges against MC. After he does so, she's finally had enough and tears him a new one, angrily berating him for forcing her on those dates, trying to hurt people she cares about (namely the MC), and for having the audacity (or the delusion) to ask her to marry him after all of that. Tybalt himself is profusely crying by the end of her whole monologue, and she leaves him bawling alone in the restaurant after letting him know he's on very thin ice with her.]]
** [[spoiler:The icing on the cake is when, while Tybalt is bawling his eyes out alone in the restaurant, the waiter pops the confetti cannon that Tybalt had given him to celebrate the proposal. PoeticJustice indeed.]]
** [[spoiler:If MC chooses to be with Jill after talking with Elena and she accepts him, the cherry on top is when the above scene happens, except Jill and MC kiss right in front of Tybalt when the waiter pops the cannon, showering them in confetti.]]
* HoldingHands: [[spoiler: Done beautifully at the end of Episode 8 after she and MC make love for the first time]].
* TheIngenue: [[spoiler:Virgin?]] Check. Naive? Check. Can't tell who's interest in her is genuine due to her family background? Check. SpoiledSweet? Check. DamselInDistress? Check. Her entire character arc revolves around this and slowly growing out of it.
* InsecureLoveInterest: [[spoiler: She's a virgin and because of her lack of sexual experience she fears that she will be bad at it.]]
* InSeriesNickname: "Jillybean" by Lana.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Light Feminine to Bella's Dark. Jill is nice, innocent, and naive. Bella's aloof and a DefrostingIceQueen.
* LoveConfession: After a romantic picnic, the MC can give her one.
* NiceGirl: She is a very sweet girl to most people, including the MC regardless of Status or Affinity. The only real exception is Tybalt, who she manages to tolerate for most of the game [[spoiler: but absolutely abhors by the end of Episode 8.]]
* OfficialCouple: She and the MC if he chooses to be with her.
-->'''Jill:''' Are you my boyfriend ?
-->'''MC:''' And you're my girlfriend.
* OppositesAttract: Subverted with a DIK MC. If He decides to pursue her she'll reject him due to their differences. The MC will even lampshade this trope in his monologue.
* PerformanceAnxiety: Jill tends to get very self-conscious when playing the piano in front of others, even if it's only one person. The MC can help her cope with it, [[spoiler:but it does cause her to be paralyzed at her recital, needing the player to help her out.]]
** Jill also demonstrates the ''other'' kind of performance anxiety, expressing worry about whether she will be good at sex given her inexperience.
* PrecisionFStrike: Jill is typically mild-mannered and sophisticated, which makes it more cathartic to see her response when Tybalt, apparently completely oblivious to the fact that she has begun to resent him for forcing her onto three dates in exchange for not suing the MC, proposes ''marriage'' to her during the third.
-->'''Jill:''' No. I do '''NOT''' want to marry you, and I am done playing along with this bullshit!
* RavenHairIvorySkin: Is very fair skinned and has jet black hair.
* RichSuitorPoorSuitor: Tybalt is the rich suitor (whom Jill has no interest in), and MC is the poor suitor.
* RomanticRain: In Episode 6, she and the MC shares a passionate kiss under the rain.
* SexGoddess: The MC describes their first time as " out of this world".
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She is attracted to the Main Character with CHIK Affinity.
* SleepCute: She and the MC fall asleep next to each other twice before becoming an OfficialCouple.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's currently the only female resident in the Preps mansion (she mentions that the Preps occasionally have women who are members, but most are men).
* SpoiledSweet: Jill is wealthy, but doesn't brag about it and is very compassionate.
* TenderTears: Befitting her sensitive nature, most notably when the MC tells her the story of why he doesn't like celebrating his birthday. Jill is so overwhelmed that she has to stop the car she is driving and give the MC a big hug.
* TheirFirstTime: [[spoiler: If the MC chooses her as his main love interest, they will finally make love at the end of the 8th episode]].
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: Part of why she's so nervous about love and relationships.
* UptownGirl: To the main character if he pursues her, due to her being very wealthy (to say nothing of being a Royce) compared to the MC's humble upbringing.
* WardrobeMalfunction: She experiences one during the Yoga session, her breast will show up thanks to her wearing Bella's clothes, which are slightly too large for Jill. The MC can either warn her or remain silent.
* WideEyedIdealist: She doesn't realize how vile and manipulative Tybalt can be. Subverted later, see GrewASpine.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: During her recital, she's too terrified to perform in front of an audience. The MC and Isabella can potentially help her and convince her that she's brave enough to overcome her fears.

The librarian at B&R, Isabella, Bella to her friends, does not have the best start to her relationship with the MC. However, she can warm up to him and even finds herself drawn to him, but is hiding some serious emotional scars.

----

* AgeGapRomance: With the MC, being nearly twice his age[[note]]Bella says that she started college 18 years ago; assuming that she was about as old as the MC is now (18/19), this would make her about 36/38[[/note]]. It's mostly played for drama, with her being worried about how she is old enough to be his mother, exacerbated when their first date has the waiter literally mistake Bella for his mom. Notably, unlike Jade, the other significant older character with whom the player character can have a sexual relationship and who plays up their age gap (and can even have the MC call her "mommy"), Bella will not stand for any age-gap-related dirty talk.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With the MC even if the player doesn't pursue her.
* BigFancyHouse: Isabella lives in a fairly large two-story house about fifteen minutes from campus, complete with a small yoga room/indoor gym, a small library upstairs and a reading room downstairs, a fairly large backyard pool, and a sauna. It approaches FriendsRentControl levels when you realise that this entire place is paid for using only her salary as a librarian and teacher at B&R, though it is ten years old and [[spoiler:was presumably bought when she was with James]]; regardless, it does seem to accentuate her loneliness at the start of the game. Hilariously, Tybalt seems to consider it some kind of hovel.
* BigSisterInstinct: Towards Jill.
* BrainyBrunette: An older version.
* DeadpanSnarker: Isabella's initial antipathy for the MC, especially a DIK player, combined with her (implied) lack of intonation, leads her to get some zingers in at his expense. Expressing her surprise at the player taking Gender Studies classes:
-->'''Bella:''' What for?
-->'''MC:''' To learn about women's issues and more.
-->'''Bella:''' Hmm...ironic.
-->'''MC:''' How so?
-->'''Bella:''' Because you are one of women's issues.
* DeathGlare: See above. It's pretty much Isabella's default expression, made all the more intimidating by her [[IcyBlueEyes piercing blue eyes]]. She gives a particularly frightening one to the [=DIKs=] if she spends the night with the MC at the mansion in "Damage Control", glaring at them while they sing the "walk of shame" song to immediately shut them up.
* DefrostingIceQueen: To the MC overtime if he has a good relationship with her.
* TheDreaded: She's called the Ice Queen for a reason. See DeathGlare.
* EatingTheEyeCandy: Each time the MC shows a bit of skin.
* FeminineWomenCanCook: The MC can ask her to teach him how to cook.
* FirstNameBasis: Like most of the cast. Her last name is only visible on her Rooster profile.
* FlexibilityEqualsSexAbility: As seen if you commit to her at the end of Episode 8, Bella puts her yoga-acquired skills to full use when making love to the MC for the first time.
* GoodIsNotSoft: Bella isn't called the "Ice Queen" for nothing.
* GracefulLoser: If the MC picks other love interests over her, she takes it well and congratulates him for being mature about it.
* HartmanHips: Easily the best example in the entire game. She's also the most mature and motherly of the main girls.
* HerOwnWorstEnemy: Isabella is torn between her sense of loyalty to her husband James and her growing attraction to the MC, leading to a great amount of angst due to considering herself an adulteress.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: There's hints of her inner sweetness throughout the early parts of the game, but she tries to keep it hidden.
* HotTeacher : Less apparent than Jade & Cathy, Isabella also counts as she is a qualified teacher but works in the library. Embodies the trope in season 2.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Becomes one if the MC commits to her and [[spoiler: Jill finds out about their relationship and the MC chose to fight for Jill]]. Leading Jill to criticize her for calling her naive and immature, yet went behind her back. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Bella concedes and apologizes.]]
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: If the MC has gotten her to like him, she has this attitude towards Jill and the main character, wanting them to be together and encouraging them to date and hang out.
* ImpossibleHourglassFigure: She has very large breasts and a shapely lower half but also a very slim waist.
* InnocentInnuendo: Multiple times with the MC.
-->'''MC:''' Do you split or swallow ?
-->'''Bella:''' *Cough* What !?
-->'''MC:''' The wine I mean...
* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Jill and potentially the MC.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Dark Feminine to Jill's Light. Jill is nice, innocent, and naive. Bella's aloof and a DefrostingIceQueen.
* MiseryTrigger: Her (ex?) husband, James.
* NoSenseOfHumor: Subverted; hell, ''weaponized''. Bella's DeadpanSnarker tendencies, coupled with her intimidating demeanor and her fearsome reputation as the Ice Queen of the library, leads many (the MC in early interactions included) to assume that she is being serious, and she lets them squirm a bit before revealing that she is joking.
* NotSoAboveItAll: As a significant adult presence in the MC's and Jill's life, Bella often comes off as their (typically his) disciplinarian, often calling them (typically him) out for acting immaturely or impulsively. Unsurprisingly, therefore, during Jill and Tybalt's second date where they play doubles tennis with the MC and Bella, Bella advises you to not harm Tybalt in any way. However, if you follow her advice and manage to win the tennis game without hitting the ball at Tybalt, Bella catches Tybalt staring at Jill's ass when she has bent over to pick up a ball, and is so incensed that she manages to land a ball straight at him.
-->'''MC:''' I gotta say it's nice not to be on the receiving end of these talks.
* PaperThinDisguise: A non-romanced Isabella shows up at the Halloween party in Episode 9 as a last-minute favour to Jill, and therefore doesn't have a costume; she settles for simply wearing Tommy's demon head mask from Hell Week over her regular clothes, as she doesn't want to be recognized as a staff member attending a fraternity party. It works on most people (Leon mistakes her for Heather) but anyone who knows her can recognize her easily.
* PerpetualFrowner: She almost never smiles, especially in earlier episodes. She only starts to smile later on in the story, especially if you are on her route.
* ScaryLibrarian: Many students tend to view her as this, and she can be this on her worse days. She is usually just strict and no-nonsense about the rules.
* ShipperOnDeck: Although she wants to be with MC, if he's also romanced Jill, she's willing to step aside so they can be together.
* SoProudOfYou: Her reaction after Jill's recital.
-->'''Bella:''' It was divine. Simply divine.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Has two distinct sides, the scary Ice queen, and the warmer big sis figure.
* TeacherStudentRomance: A somewhat unorthodox example, given that she is B&R's librarian, not the MC's teacher, though Episode 5 reveals that she will be teaching courses that Tremolo is interested in. [[spoiler:This becomes played straight earlier than expected after Cathy quits B&R, and her Gen Ed class is split between Prof. Hoff for Math and Bella for English (Bella studying English in college means she is qualified for the position), leading to some concern about the potential opposition to their relationship in the university's code of conduct.]]
* TraumaButton: Anything related to James.
* WeddingRingRemoval: A romanced Isabella takes off her wedding ring in the ending of "True Colors", and is not wearing it during her and the [=MC's=] date in "Crossroads". However, she puts it back on after that date goes disastrously, and keeps it on if he doesn't commit to her at the end of the episode; if he does, she takes it off before they have sex.
* WhatTheHellHero: Invokes this when asking the MC about how he broke into the [=HOTs=]' house to steal a pair of panties under the orders of the[=DIKs=].

* DrowningMySorrows: Rusty thinks that he has found someone special when he meets [[spoiler:Micha]] at the dorm party in Episode 8, and later dialogue indicates that they had sex afterwards. However, when Rusty tries to take things further again during the Halloween party in Episode 9, she tells him that she already has a boyfriend and that them sleeping together was a mistake, before she quickly leaves. This leaves him so despondent that he spends the rest of the night on the roof of the mansion with a bottle of tequila.
* HiddenDepths: Rusty initially comes across as a boisterous NiceGuy who enjoys the good life, not even minding if it is funded by his wealthy family, but later episodes show a startling amount of depth. Jill notes that, when she had gone on a date with him, he completely changed his behaviour when they ran into a few friends of his, seemingly afraid of being himself around them. This is even more notable in the aftermath of his meeting with Cathy in the aftermath of [[spoiler:her leaked nude photo]], where he literally [[LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain invokes the DIK code of secrecy]] to tell the brothers about him crying when talking to her.
* LonelyRichKid: Rusty was this when he first started college. Despite coming from a very wealthy family [[spoiler:as in, literally the Burgmeisters]], he's rejected by the preps fraternity house. Not long after, he and Tommy form DIK after meeting [[spoiler:Nick and Vinny]].
* {{Manchild}}: A more subtle example, but he depends on his father's wealth for everything rather than working on it. [[spoiler: This comes back to bite him, and the [=DIKs=], hard after the tri-Alphas completely trash the DIK house and his father is unwilling to fork up the cash to repair it for a second time (he has already spent the saved funds on trips to the Pink Rose). He slowly grows out of it as he steps up as a leader and learns to take responsibilities for his actions, with some help from the MC; notably, if the MC is unable to raise the money to pay for the windows by the end of Episode 8, Rusty sells his car to pay for them.]]
* NiceGuy: Ironically for the founder and president of a fraternity known as the [=DIKs=], Rusty is a genuinely nice guy. He is immediately up for accepting the MC into the DIK house when he approaches them after being kicked out of the dorm by Troy before Tommy refuses (particularly if the MC stood up to Chad and declares that he hates the jocks); he feels terrible about what happened to Cathy and doesn't try to defend himself, taking full responsibility for the [[spoiler:nude photo post even though it wasn't the [=DIKs=]' or his fault]]; and he is fully willing to let the MC, a recent joinee, take charge of the efforts to clean up the DIK mansion after [[spoiler:it is trashed by the tri-Alphas]].
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As President of the [=DIKs=], he takes the Main Character's advice on how to [[spoiler:fix up the mansion and turn them into a proper fraternity instead of leeching off his father]].
* WakeUpCall: After the DIK Mansion is trashed and his father refuses to pay for it, Rusty steps up as a leader.

[[folder:Tommy]]
!!Tommy
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep6_diks_tommy_event3.jpg]]

Co-founder and vice-president of Delta Iota Kappa, Tommy serves as the MC's father during his time as a maggot. He is Josy's stepbrother; however, no love is lost between them.

----
* BerserkButton: Don't question his role as [=DIKs=]' vice president; the MC gets a black eye for his trouble when Tommy refuses to help during the first house-cleaning minigame.
* TheBully: Acts like one during the Hell Week initiation.
* CheaterGetsCheatedOn: Downplayed, somewhat. While he and Heather have an open relationship (which Heather implies she isn't comfortable with), he often breaks the terms of their relationship by sleeping with girls without asking her. Heather gets angry when he takes yet another girl to bed during the Halloween party, and, drunk and angry, resolves that she is entitled to screw other people too: she propositions the MC in Leon's room (which a DIK MC may accept) and [[spoiler:Episode 10 reveals that she slept with Nick after he confessed his feelings for her]]. Notably, she feels terrible about this – she apologizes to Tremolo at the yoga class for the former, and the ending of the episode has her tell Tommy; unsurprisingly, he is visibly pissed off.
* HairTriggerTemper: He's known for having a short fuse.
* HookersAndBlow: He's by far the most depraved member of the fraternity. He can't stop smoking weed and he tends to cheat on his girlfriend with strippers.
* {{Hypocrite}}: During the kissing game, he enjoys watching girls kissing each other but he doesn't want his half-sister to be involved.
-->'''Tommy:''' Oh ! Daughter-daughter time ! Everyone ! Daughter-daughter time !
-->'''Quinn:''' This you like, but your sister is off-limits, huh ?
-->'''Tommy:''' Shut up !
* {{Jerkass}}: Tommy is, by far, the most unpleasant member of Delta Iota Kappa. Some of it is a facade of being a part of the fraternity known as the [=DIKs=], but quite a bit of it is genuine, most notably his treatment of his girlfriend Heather. He often treats her harshly, and despite them being in an open relationship, breaks the mutually agreed terms of said relationship by not asking (or even telling) her about other girls he is sleeping with.
** JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Tommy seems to become less of an ass, at least with regards the MC, which is attributed to him suffering from withdrawal, and he legitimately tries his best to help out with [[spoiler:the mansion]] and act amicably with Tremolo. He returns to being a giant asshole in Season 3, seemingly due to him relapsing and buying drugs from [[spoiler:Vinny]] – he initially refuses to help with party planning after having promised to do so in Episode 8, subsequently making a big deal when he does deign to help, and spends a large part of the early party ordering Tremolo around in Episode 9, and, if the player committed to the throuple, he [[spoiler:defies the DIK code called by Tremolo and immediately rants about him being in a relationship with Maya and Josy, ensuring that everyone knows about it]].
* JerkassRealization: In episode 6, he realizes he did a bad job as a mentor and tries to make amends with the MC.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Worse than Derek, whose behaviour regarding the player's flirtations with Maya is mostly explainable as concern for [[spoiler:her relationship with Josy]]. Not for Tommy, though, who cannot stand his stepsister even kissing another girl as part of a party game [[{{Hypocrite}} even though he is perfectly happy to ogle other girls doing the same.]] It's hardly explainable as excessive fraternal protectiveness, either – he actively dislikes her!
** Notably, if you're on the Throuple path in Episode 10, Tommy is so enraged on seeing Josy emerge naked from Tremolo's room that he barges into his room and interrogates him about her while Tremolo is stark naked, and, [[spoiler: when Tremolo calls the DIK code on his relationships with Maya and Josy (he has to lie about him having two girlfriends to hide their relationship), he actively breaks the code by talking about it to everyone in the DIK mansion, including the [=HOTs=] who have come to help with post-party cleanup, which means that everyone on campus finds out anyway.]]
* TheStoner: He's such a heavy smoker that he steals stuff from his own girlfriend when he runs short.
* ThreeWaySex: Among the few non-MC male characters who has had a threesome, though it is offscreen. When the MC calls all the [=DIKs=] to John Boy's breakfast in Episode 7, Tommy can be spoken to emerging from his room, and a [[FreezeFrameBonus single-frame shot]] shows two pairs of legs lying on his bed. Episode 8 reveals that they were Heather and Tania: if you tell Heather about him being "plus three", she confronts him about it, and [[TheCasanova he manages to spin it into a threesome]].
* UnreliableNarrator: When the MC questions him about the origins of the Alphas and [=DIKs=]' rivalry, he narrates some kind of epic tale (in verse!). In reality, he simply slept with Arieth and got beaten up by the Alphas.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Can have this relationship with the MC.
* YouCanAlwaysTellALiar: According to Heather, Tommy touches his neck when he's lying or uncomfortable.

!!Nick
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep6_diks_nick_event3_blink0_0.jpg]]
One of the first maggots of Delta Iota Kappa, Nick is among the most senior members of the fraternity. He was maggot brothers with Vinny.
----
* TheGenericGuy: Ends up as this due to everyone else having some trait to set them apart.
* HiddenDepths: [[spoiler:He's secretly in love with Heather. It is revealed that Heather cheated on Tommy with Nick at the Halloween Party in Episode 9. They both feel bad about it later. Nick divulges this information to MC after John Boy told MC that he saw Heather leave from either Nick or Jacob's rooms.]]
* LoveAtFirstSight: Nick has loved [[spoiler:Heather]] since the first time he ever saw her, even before she [[spoiler:got together with Tommy]]; a major reason why he has found it difficult to get over her is because [[spoiler:she hangs out with the [=DIKs=] all the time, being Tommy's girlfriend]]. This caused problems when [[spoiler:Heather, drunk and angry at having seen Tommy take yet another girl to bed without asking her, went up to Nick to vent while wanting to have sex with someone else as revenge, and had sex with him when he confessed his feelings for her, even falling asleep in his arms after. The next morning, however, both of them felt terrible about it; while they both decided to keep it a secret, Nick has told Tremolo and Heather has told Tommy by the end of the episode.]]
* NiceGuy: Never has anything mean to say and is always on friendly terms with everyone else. He even calls out Tommy for making him have to carry the weight of his lies after failing to ask permission from Heather to sleep with someone else.
* SatelliteCharacter: Bordering on deconstruction. Nick's biggest trait was him being Vinny's best friend and maggot brother. But once Vinny left, Nick is the only one in the fraternity without a DIK brother and feels lonely.
* YouAreNotAlone: With Vinny being gone, Nick remains the only DIK's member without his original maggot brother. When he expressed how much he missed his old friend, the MC comforts Nick by reminding him, he's still part of the DIK family.

Jacob is a member of Delta Iota Kappa. Together with his maggot brother John Boy, they were the third pair of pledges to the fraternity.
----

* HiddenDepths: He's actually a gifted artist. In season 2, the MC can commission him to make portraits of multiple female characters. Notably, several other brothers appreciate his skill as well: Derek commissions a portrait of himself riding a bear, and John Boy has a spot on his wall saved for a painting of himself and Elena.
* MoralityChain: He's one for the [=DIKs=]
* NiceGuy: Was the most supportive DIK for MC during Hell Week, and remains the closest to MC, after Derek and Rusty.
* TokenMinority: He's the only black DIK member. Indeed, he's the only major black cast member; the only other named black characters are Brandi, one of the strippers at the Pink Rose, Stanley, the Pink Rose's bouncer, Darius, a new tri-Alpha member, and Dwyane, Tremolo's martial arts instructor.

!!John Boy
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep10_freeroam_bbq58.jpg]]
John Boy is a member of Delta Iota Kappa. Together with his maggot brother Jacob, they were the third pair of pledges to the fraternity. He is in a relationship with Elena, and the couple have a reputation for rarely wearing clothes
----

* NakedPeopleAreFunny: He and his girlfriend Elena usually wear nothing but their underclothes.
* ShamelessFanserviceGuy: Like his girlfriend Elena, he believes that it is pointless to wear clothes to parties when you are just going to end up taking them off anyway. Several DIK parties also feature the two of them having sex or being otherwise intimate in the background, most notably in Episode 2 when they are interrupted by the tri-alphas throwing dildos into their mansion. This tendency is downplayed in several later episodes, however.
** Notably, John Boy doesn't really have a private bedroom in the DIK mansion; his "room" is the top-floor area near Jacob's and Nick's rooms above (and completely visible from) the dining hall, and your first foray there while exploring the mansion in Episode 4 has Tremolo opening the door from the top-floor hallway near Derek's room only to suddenly see a naked Elena lying on JB's bed. JB says he doesn't much care for privacy ([[ShamelessFanserviceGirl neither does Elena, for that matter]]).
* SickeninglySweethearts: With his girlfriend, Elena. He is so secure in his relationship with her that if the MC flirts with Elena at the [=HOTs=] house in Episode 4, his opinion of Tremolo actually ''improves'', figuring that his girlfriend must be really attractive if guys are flirting with her. If Tremolo stare at Elena while she puts on her underwear when exploring the mansion in Episode 6, JB even encourages him.
* TeamDad: Episode 7 reveals this side of him when he cooks for everyone. Fittingly, he is dating the [=HOTs=]' TeamMom Elena.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: John Boy sticks to his underwear during most of his time on screen. The only time he wears clothes is in his visits to the Pink Rose, after a visit in his underwear led another patron to mistake him for a stripper and proposition him. Later seasons do show him clothed much more often, as seen above during the Halloween party (though that may just be because it is an outdoor cookout party in November).

* AmicableExes: With his former girlfriend Dany after they break up following [[spoiler:her pregnancy scare. They get back together soon after]].
* EmbarrassingNickname: Dany nicknames him "Jam-Jam". A DIK player can also call him that, to his embarrassment.
* HomoeroticSubtext: With Leon. They behave like a committed couple, complete with Leon getting increasingly jealous once [[spoiler:he gets back together with Dany]].
* InLoveWithLove: Eventually [[spoiler: gets back together with Dany despite her controlling behavior and her pregnancy scare]] simply because he couldn't tolerate the loneliness of not being in a relationship.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: More so than any other DIK. His hobby is gardening, which he fears is seen as too feminine of an activity. He's also dating the straw feminist Dany.
* NatureLover: His mother is a botanist, and he inherited her love of plants.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Is this with his maggot brother, Leon.
* WhatDoesHeSeeInHer: Jamie's relationship with Dany often evokes this reaction among the [=DIKs=], especially Leon, given her extreme ControlFreak tendencies. [[spoiler:Jamie does break up with her after her pregnancy scare (prompting a celebration at Delta Iota Kappa), only to get back together with her during the dorm party, much to Leon's frustration.]]

* HomoeroticSubtext: With Jamie. They behave like a committed couple. This leads to bitter arguments when [[spoiler:Jamie gets back together with Dany in Episode 8]].
* FriendVersusLover: Leon and Dany, to put it mildly, do not like each other. This leads to [[spoiler:relief when Jamie finally breaks up with her, only to severe frustration when he gets back together with her at the dorm party. Reaches its peak after Jamie syncs up his Halloween party costume with Dany instead of Leon, which hurts him deeply.]]
* IncrediblyConspicuousDrag: Dresses as ''Lily'' for the Halloween party in Episode 9. Apparently he and Jamie had planned a themed costume combination, only for Jamie to sync up his costume with Dany as a magician so they could bring Franz to the party. While it obviously makes him a target of mockery, Jamie going back on his word hurts him even more. [[spoiler:If the Main Character took Leon's side, Jamie will dress up in the costume Leon got for him (Envy) and hang out with him after Dany leaves.]]
* ThoseTwoGuys: Is this with his maggot brother, Jamie.

Quinn is the vice-president of the [=HOTs=], and is involved in several shady activities. Despite being antagonistic to the MC for large stretches of the game, she also finds herself attracted to him.

----

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: You have to be a DIK to pursue her.
* AlphaBitch: Quinn likes to mess with people, more so if you aren’t the type of person she’s into. She loves winding people up and giving them shit for fun. Maya learned it the hard way.
** There’s a bit of inverted BitchInSheepsClothing as she softens up over time, at least towards the main character.
* AutoErotica: In episode 10, she can have sex with the MC in Rusty's car.
* BadBoss: She's not beyond using intimidation and emotional manipulation to keep her girls in line. She subtly threatened Mona with blackmail in order to keep her quiet and even slapped Riona after losing her cool.
* BeingEvilSucks: Doesn't seem particularly happy being a drug dealer [[spoiler: or prostituting out her sorority sisters]].
* BeneathTheMask: Despite her mask of confidence and her provocative attitude she struggled to keep her criminal activities profitable and has to deal with a lot of stress. While being very pragmatic with her sexuality, she's distraught by physical affection and her deeper feelings for the MC.
* CatchPhrase: She really loves the word "bitch".
* CharacterDevelopment: Depending on the player's choices the dynamic between Quinn and the MC can develop into an antagonist/protagonist relationship or a romantic one. If the Main Character pursues her, their relationship quickly becomes sexual; however whilst she is shown to enjoy the MC's company, she nevertheless often appears reluctant to discuss her feelings or admit that she like him. [[spoiler: From Episode 6 onwards Quinn begins to reveal a softer side, and there are strong hints that she has developed feelings for the MC, though she still appears uncomfortable expressing them, especially in public. She also exhibits signs of jealousy if she catches the MC being intimate with Sage, and challenges the MC to not sleep around at the Halloween Party so that she can keep him for herself. At the end of Episode 9, the player can choose to go home with Quinn, and as a result she breaks her 'no sleepovers' rule as the pair spend the whole night together.]]
* CharacterTics: Noticeable if her dynamic with the main character becomes more romantic. Every time MC speaks to Quinn, she tends to stroke her hair behind her right ear.
* DaddysLittleVillain: Her father was a violent drug dealer. Nonetheless they had a loving relationship. Episode 6 reveals she wears the same facial marks to honor him.
* DeadpanSnarker: Sarcasm is her mother tongue.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: When she broke her deal with Tommy, she underestimated how deeply he'd be hurt by the act and lost his friendship as a result. By giving Maya harder tasks to fulfill, she didn't expect her to actually succeed.
* DisappearedDad: Rox never shows up in the present-day segments, only being seen in flashbacks.
* DontYouDarePityMe: [[spoiler: In Episode 6 She gets beat up while trying to carry out a drug deal. If a MC with a CHICK or Neutral affinity offers to help her, she will reject his help, claiming she doesn't need it. If a DIK MC confronts her about her money issues and proposes to help her, she will respond she's not a DamselInDistress.]]
-->'''Quinn:''' I'm not a fragile bitch crying for protection ! Spare me that valiant bullshit !
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: For all her flaws, she truly loved her dad.
** She won't even admit it to herself but she obviously has feelings for the MC on the DIK path.
** Despite plotting behind Sage's back and lying about her criminal activities, she truly sees Sage as a close friend and a mentor.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite her dealing activities, she’s not comfortable with selling coke. [[spoiler: In Episode 5, when Rich pressured her to sell him coke, she initially tried to talk him out of it. She reluctantly agrees in Episode 6 after her money issues became unbearable but makes clear she doesn’t like it.]]
** Even if she isn’t on friendly terms with the main character, she’s genuinely shocked when she learns[[spoiler: Vinny pulled a gun on him.]]
* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler: Episode 6 reveals that she was raised in a toxic environment, surrounded by junkies and addicts. Her father disappeared for unknown reasons and her junkie mother has been wasted beyond redemption to the point of not recognizing Quinn as her own daughter. Episode 9 reveals that her father emotionally isolated her from others, teaching her to never trust anyone and to even keep friends at arm's length ]]
* HatesBeingTouched: Zig Zagged. She has no problem with sex but when it comes to simple kissing, she acts pretty scared.
* HeIsNotMyBoyfriend: Shows signs of having genuine romantic interest in MC, rather than just physical attraction. But she won't even admit it to herself, being reluctant to show any affection in public.
* HeldGaze: In Episode 7, after having sex on weed, she and the Mc find themselves gazing deeply into each other's eyes.
* HerOwnWorstEnemy: She's too stubborn to recognize her mistakes and often acts on impulse. By never dropping her arrogant and proud persona, Quinn subconsciously pushes everyone away. She saw Tommy as a close friend but still pushed on his buttons, lied to him and ruined his trust. She's Sage's best friend but she still plots behind her back. She values Riona as her right hand and probably friend but still acts abusive and manipulative. Deep down, it's implied that Quinn knows she's doing a bad job as a drug dealer and isn't even happy running a prostitution circle. Unfortunately, she doesn't know how to change her ways and is too proud to ask for help.
* HotAsHell: In Episode 9 [[spoiler: During the Halloween party, she wears a very suggestive succubus outfit to the MC's delight.]]
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: When Tommy confronts her about her betrayal and tries to bury the hatchet, she refuses to apologize and claims she simply did what she had to do.
* ItDoesntMeanAnything: Tried to invoke this trope several times with the main character. In episode 10, after spending the night with him, she brushes off the idea of being in anything other than a purely sexual relationship. Naturally the MC doesn't buy it.
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: Downplayed. Quinn isn't ''dumb'', exactly, but she does think that she is much smarter than she is. She refuses to get out of the drug business even after Riona rightly tells her that it is unsustainable, launching convoluted schemes to make more money and thoughtlessly messing up other people's lives, including people she is close to like Tommy and the [=HOTs=], while remaining unapologetic for the consequences her actions have caused. Combined with her ManipulativeBitch tendencies, this also leads to her brutally cracking down on [[spoiler:Mona after the Stephen Burke fiasco, leading to Mona quitting not just the [=HOTs=] but also B&R itself]]. She isn't even above [[spoiler:wrongfully blaming Riona for lower profits, saying that Riona has been smoking their product]].
* LikeParentLikeChild: [[spoiler:Her father was a dealer and a drug user. She not only works for the 'family' business but also adopted her father's facial marks as a way to honor him. A flashback in episode 9 reveals she also got her distrustful nature from him. As a child, he taught her to never trust anyone and to even keep friends at arm's length.]]
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: Quinn is no saint, and in some aspects can be just as bad as Vinny, but she at least shows some reluctance selling hard drugs and doesn't resort to physical violence and abduction, all of which cannot be said about Vinny. The fact that even Quinn considers him dangerous and wants nothing to do with him is saying a lot.
* ManipulativeBitch: Quinn is ruthlessly, shamelessly manipulative when it comes to ensuring that none of her girls quit working for her, to near-LackOfEmpathy levels. When Mona tries to quit the business after the [[spoiler:Stephen Burke fiasco]], she threatens to leak news of the event and get her stripped of her scholarship, and when Riona tries to get her to quit the drug business after [[spoiler:Quinn is robbed]], Quinn exploits Riona's insecurities about being smart enough to graduate college to get her to continue. Lampshaded by Lily, who smugly proclaims that she will be harder to control because Quinn has nothing that she can hold over her head.
* TheModestOrgasm: At the end of episode 9 [[spoiler: the MC can choose to spend the night with Quinn. During their dominant/submissive roleplay, she reaches climax several times but tries to hide it when it happens.]]
* NakedFirstImpression: First seen on screen, unintroduced, sunbathing topless with Sage and Camila outside the HOT house when Maya is describing the [=HOTs=]. While her first named appearance isn't as raunchy (she and Riona pass you by exiting from the bathroom), her first significant appearance on screen has her with Camila during the panty raid in a loosely fastened towel.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Quinn isn't fond of kissing & cuddling boys, therefore if the MC posts a picture on Rooster showing Quinn hugging him, the other girls express nothing but disbelief.
* PetTheDog: She's significantly nicer and tender with the MC if he previously helped her in episode 6.
** In episode 8, when Sage expresses her regret for not doing enough crazy things in her studies years, Quinn encourages her to do those things now so she won't have any regret later.
* RomanceAndSexualitySeparation: She's pretty bold with sexual intercourse but kissing and expressing her affection is a big deal. She slowly becomes more comfortable with being intimate with the MC if he pursues her.
* SexForSolace: In Episode 6, the MC will run into her after [[spoiler:she gets beat up while trying to carry out a drug deal.]] The MC can try to help her, which she will accept if he has [=DIK=] affinity. [[spoiler:Witnessing her defeated and confused, the MC will offer to help her with money. Quinn will reject his offer, not understanding why in the world he would try to help her without asking anything in return. Overwhelmed by their conflicted feelings, they'll end up having passionate sex on the couch.]]
* SillyRabbitRomanceIsForKids: She acts pretty disgusted when someone openly expresses affection.
-->'''Quinn:''' Look at those two and tell me it doesn't make you sick.
-->'''MC:''' What about them make you sick ?
-->'''Quinn:''' Like how he holds her neck when he kisses her and her stupid fucking grin between every kiss. It's the cheesiest fucking thing ever ! "Aw, kiss me ! Aw, love me !"
* SkeletonMotif: Skull candle, skull earrings, skull mask. She definitely has a thing for morbid items.
* SnarkToSnarkCombat: Quinn and the MC much use this as their normal manner of speech to each other on the rooster clucks. They even post embarrassing pictures of each other.
* TakeThatKiss: She kissed a frightened Maya to assert her domination.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially [[spoiler: with Riona & the MC in Episode 3 and Sage & the MC in Episode 8.]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: She's by far the meanest member of the sorority. She's pretty manipulative and acts like the alpha bitch. Not to mention the fact that she's a drug dealer and a pimp.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Despite her disdain for girly things and her ways of carrying herself, she also wears heavy makeup on her eyes and long immaculate nails.
* TookALevelInJerkass: She specifically targets girls in dire situations in order to make a profit out of their vulnerability. While she doesn't force any of them into her prostitution ring, she did play the part of planting seeds in their minds while preparing her road to salvation to pull them out of the holes they were in.
** She bullied Maya more than once and gave her harder tasks to fullfil in order to join the sorority.
*** She claims that she sees Riona as her equal but in reality she keeps her on the down-low and lashes out at her when she contests her decisions.
* {{Tsundere}}: She softens up over time, especially towards a MC on the DIK path. This is most apparent in Episode 4 when the MC smokes weed with her on the roof [[spoiler: She genuinely worries when the MC zones out and keeps an eye on him to make sure he doesn't fall from the roof .]][[spoiler:It’s even more apparent in subsequent episodes. Although she doesn’t take the call in Episode 5, she texts MC back later and acts nicer than normal or when around other people. She’s still fiery, but it’s obvious that she has a soft spot for him.]][[spoiler: In episode 6 she awkwardly thanks the MC for helping her. In episode 7, after having sex with the MC, she tenderly cuddles him in his sleep]].
* TheUnapologetic: No matter how wrong she is, she doesn't make apology.[[spoiler: Subverted in episode 9. She apologized for her past actions to Tommy. ]]
* VillainessesWantHeroes: Maybe not a "villain", but Quinn is certainly an antagonist, and she's apparently crazy about a DIK MC. Even a CHICK MC, who cannot pursue her, is told by Sage about how Quinn can't stop talking about him.
* VillainousCrush: According to Sage, Quinn can't stop talking about MC.
* VillainHasAPoint: During the Cumpetition, the MC accuses her of using the restaurant's girls for her own benefit. If the MC previously took her offer, she will reply he's not better since he actually uses her services to have sex with them. The MC doesn't deny it.
** When Tommy blamed her for the destruction of the DIK mansion, she accused him of trying to postpone the blame on her. Tommy will admit he was indeed more responsible than her and shouldn't have blamed her for it.
* VillainRespect: After being slapped by Maya in Episode 6, she's amused by the fact that Maya finally showed some fire.
-->'''Quinn:''' You're a fireball. Where did you hide this side of you before ? I like it.
* WolverineClaws : Her succubus costume in Episode 9 includes a pair of gloves with long claws attached to each finger.

!!Riona
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep8_party_stalker1_event2_blink0.jpg]]
Riona is a member of the [=HOTs=], and acts as Quinn's second-in-command when to comes to the drug and prostitution business, though she is starting to be worried about the potential consequences.
----
* {{Anorgasmia}}: Rio can't reach climax during sex, though it seems to be downplayed - she seems to be able to orgasm okay by herself. She doesn't seem to mind it too much, but a MC who has sex with her during the Preps' party affirms that he is going to make sure that she does, to her amusement.
* ColorMotif: Black.
* TheCutie: Zig-Zagged. She's pretty nice and lovable but is involved in a drug and prostitution business.
* FriendsWithBenefits: Seems to be developing this with the MC. After the MC's help with her stalker and his attempts to cheer her up during the Halloween party; she sees him as a good friend. There are hints that she has at least considered a more serious relationship; notably, if the MC is on good terms with her and in a committed relationship by "Vixens", Rio admits that she isn't praying for his relationship to last.
* GamerChick: Episode 10 reveals she is an avid videogamer, even complaining that none of the other [=HOTs=] give her company at the arcade, and invites an unattached MC on good terms with her to spend the day with her at the arcade.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Enters this dynamic with Camila in Season 2, after [[spoiler:Mona leaves the [=HOTs=] and drops out of B&R]], with the two staying in the same room at the HOT house and sharing several scenes confiding in each other about their problems.
* HiddenDepths: Don't you dare move her stuff. Despites her goth look, she's obsessively tidy.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Can have sex with the MC on the park bench during the Thanksgiving party.
* NumberTwo: To Quinn. Riona is the only other girl who knows the details of Quinn's various ventures.
* ObsessivelyOrganized: Having anything tilted or otherwise "wrong" in her room leaves Riona extremely flustered. If the player makes fun of her for it during the [=HOTs=] party in Episode 7, she will enter his room and tilt his stuff in Episode 8 in revenge. When the MC says that he doesn't really mind it...
-->'''MC:''' Well, it doesn't bother me if the couch isn't aligned with the wall .
-->'''Riona:''' ... ''[storms off]''
-->'''MC:''' Hey, where are you going?
-->'''Riona:'''(''from offscreen'') To fucking fix it!
* OnlySaneMan: For the drugs and prostitution ring. She realises Quinn has been acting too reckless and has bitten off more than she can chew.
-->'''Riona:''' You're getting cocky.
-->'''Quinn:''' It's called expanding, Riona.
-->'''Riona:''' Not when we can't handle it. Plus, we're risking it all doing this your way.
* OperationJealousy: Downplayed and PlayedForLaughs. If an uncommitted Tremolo is on good terms with her and makes out with her in Episode 9, she starts flirting with Leon while staring at him when she's hanging out in the mansion. Tremolo catches on fairly quickly, and can ask her to hang out with him, leading to the two of them going to the arcade together.
* ProperlyParanoid: Her fears of being observed are justified. [[spoiler: She has been stalked by the DIK pledge that she caused to fail the Cumpetition and it's implied that someone else is watching her as well. Her fears end up even more justified in Episode 10 wherein she is kidnapped by Vinny and an accomplice.]]
* PuppyDogEyes: Oozes this.
* TheReliableOne: Subverted. She's Quinn's right-hand and knows more about the drugs & prostitution business than the other girls but Quinn still hides things from her.
* StalkerWithACrush: Is being stalked by [[spoiler:the DIK pledge that she caused to fail the Cumpetition.]]
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: A conversation with the MC in Episode 9 leads to her thinking about having a more serious relationship, instead of the occasional hookup. Episode 10 suggests it may be more than idle talk. When talking to Jamie about his relationship with Dany, Riona gives the MC a long look when telling Jamie that Dany should appreciate him more as there aren't many good guys like him. If the MC is unattached, she will invite him to spend the day with her at an arcade.
* ThreeWaySex : With [[spoiler:Quinn & the MC in Episode 3 and Camila & the MC in Episode 7.]]
* TokenMinority: She's the only Asian character.
* YouAreNotAlone: When Riona talks to Tremolo during the Thanksgiving party after you went to the arcade with her, she catches on that the reason he has grown out a stubble is that he felt insecure about a comment on the Hell Week photos, particularly feeling like a lack of body hair made him seem less "manly". Riona quietly tells him that he has nothing to be ashamed of.
-->'''Riona:''' You don't need body hair to be a man, ''[MC]''. When I looked at that picture of you in the poster, do you know what I saw? I saw a poor attempt at body shaming someone who shouldn't feel any shame. And I know for a fact that others feel the same as me. They were clutching at straws because they didn't find anything else to fault you with. You're good the way you are, ''[MC]''. Don't let it get to you.

!!Sarah
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep7_hot_sarah_event1_blink0.jpg]]
Sarah is a student at Burgmeister & Royce and sister of The [=HOTs=] sorority. She is almost always found alongside her best friend and sorority sister, Melanie. She was the sorority mother of Ashley.
----

* AllWomenAreLustful: She sees the main character as a delicacy and can't get enough of him, or of her friend Melanie. She also enjoys risky sex.
* BetaBitch: She & Melanie appear to be this to Quinn.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Sarah makes a single-frame appearance in the first gender studies class as Maya's partner as well as a background HOT sister during the initiation before her introduction as the HOT who the MC does shots off of during a [=DIKs=] party.
* FriendlyRivalry: With Melanie for MC's interest. If the MC goes to the bathroom with her during the dorm party to set up glory hole sex with some other girls, she will ask him to tell Melanie that she has won.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With her best friend Melanie, though neither of them are shy about fooling around with each other sexually.
* HiddenDepths: She's only taking gender studies for easy credits and doesn't take the topic of the class seriously.
-->'''Sarah:''' It's all nice to talk about equality and shit but will any of it matter when we step outside of this classroom?
** She's also well aware of [[spoiler:Chad and Troy's affair.]]
* LampshadedDoubleEntendre: If a DIK Tremolo ducks out of the Gender Studies class with Sarah in Episode 6, she talks about how most of her partners in the class seem to desire validation rather than being challenged on their viewpoints. Subsequently...
-->'''MC:''' A big circle-jerk, huh?
-->'''Sarah:''' Without the actual jerking...yep.
-->''Beat''
-->'''Sarah:''' ''[stops, turns to look at him, amused]'' What's up with the pause?
-->'''MC:''' Nothing.
-->'''Sarah:''' You were thinking a dirty thought, weren't you ?
-->'''MC:''' Nothing more than usual.
* ReallyGetsAround: Her and Melanie like watching each other having sex with guys and according to Josy they've both already participated in an orgy.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially with [[spoiler: Melanie & the MC in Episode 9.]]
* VitriolicBestBuds: She and Melanie have a friendly competition and they like to prank each-other.

----

* BetaBitch: She and Sarah appear to be this to Quinn.
* DeskSweepOfPassion: During the dorm party she can end up having sex with the MC on a student desk.
* FriendlyRivalry: With Sarah for MC's interest. If the MC has sex with her in an unused dorm during the dorm party, she will ask him to tell Sarah that she has won.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With her best friend Sarah, though neither of them are shy about fooling around with each other sexually.
* OddFriendship: With Chad.
* ReallyGetsAround: Her and Sarah like watching each other having sex with guys and according to Josy they've both already participated in an orgy.
* RedHerring: [[spoiler: Is set up to look like Chad's secret girlfriend when Chad is in fact dating Troy.]]
* ShowerOfLove: In episode 4, she offers to have sex with the MC in the shower. The Main Character can accept her advances.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially with [[spoiler:Sarah & the MC in Episode 9.]]
* VitriolicBestBuds: She and Sarah have a friendly competition and they like to prank each-other.

[[folder:Heather]]
!!Heather
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep7_hot_heather_event4_blink0.jpg]]
Heather is a senior member of the [=HOTs=]. Being Tommy's girlfriend, she spends most of her time with the [=DIKs=].

----
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Heather starts the game in a relationship with Tommy, who is bar none the biggest {{Jerkass}} in Delta Iota Kappa and is among the the biggest jerks in the entire cast ([[JerkJock tri-Alphas]] included), and she sticks by him even through him treating her poorly and sleeping with other girls without even informing her in violation of the terms of their open relationship. The one time she does sleep with someone without informing him ([[spoiler:Nick after the Halloween Party]]), she feels immensely guilty afterwards, and [[spoiler:she confesses to Tommy at the end of Episode 10]].
** Notably, all lewd scenes involving Heather – seeing her masturbate in Episode 4; joining her, Sarah, and Melanie in the jacuzzi in Episode 5; and letting her "use" Tremolo in Episode 9 – can only be unlocked by a DIK MC. In the last case, admittedly, she propositions you regardless of affinity, with only DIK players potentially accepting her advances.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Her most noticeable trait, though she is fairly uncomfortable about them. Mocked by Quinn.
-->'''Quinn''': Ugh, are you whining about your big tits again? Didn't I tell you they are a superpower?
* DCupDistress: Has perhaps the largest bust among the [=HOTs=], but seems slightly embarrassed about it when the other girls point it out. Notably, when Josy complains about the top of the [=HOTs=] outfit being too short, Heather notes that it is an improvement from the previous single-piece outfit; due to it not being available in her size, she would feel very uncomfortable wearing it. Quinn mocks her for complaining about it, also calling her a "nun" for dressing (relatively) conservatively.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Heather in her early appearances does often come off as standoffish to the MC, barely talking to him and often being very curt when she does; trying to talk to her for the first time in Episode 2 even has her dismissively brush him off saying that she doesn't talk to maggots. However, she does get more friendly with him as time goes by, particularly if, in the [=HOTs=] party in Episode 7, he tells her about [[spoiler:Tommy having had sex with another girl without asking her]] and then mixes her a drink with [[spoiler:absinthe]].
* DudeWheresMyRespect: She has a strained relationship with Tommy because she doesn't think he treats her properly. [[spoiler:Tommy is conspicuously cheating on her and seems more interested in Quinn, thus treating Heather as a glorified fuck-buddy.]]
* INeedAFreakingDrink: If you tell Heather that [[spoiler:Tommy is "plus three" (i.e., that he has slept with three girls without informing her)]] during the [=HOTs=] party in Episode 7, she asks for something to "numb [herself]", by which she means [[spoiler:any drink with ''absinthe'']]. Giving her her drink has her instantly down her glass before immediately asking for another over the MC's doubts, before quickly downing ''that'' glass as well and asking for a third.
* LifeguardFanservice: : Heather shows up to the Halloween party in Vixens dressed in a red speedo as a lifeguard; hilariously, it's the same speedo Tremolo wore for the car wash in Episode 4 (she insists she has washed it multiple times). [[spoiler:This trope is brought to the fore if a DIK Tremolo accepts her advances towards him after she sees Tommy take Christine to bed.]]
* MyEyesAreUpHere: Calls out MC for checking her out multiple times, whether or not he actually is.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: The ending of Episode 9, which shows the morning after the Halloween party, shows Heather with a bottle of water and her head in her hands. It initially just seems like a hangover, but Episode 10 shows how serious things have gotten when she doesn't show up at the [=DIKs=] mansion to help with cleanup, even when every other HOT sister does, and she apologizes to the MC for propositioning him while drunk and frustrated at Tommy's infidelity during the yoga class; notably, if Tremolo refused, he tells her to not worry because nothing happened, and she notably has a very guilty expression on her face. Nick reveals the reason during the Thanksgiving party: after seeing Tommy take Christine to his room for sex without even asking her, she got extremely agitated. Turns out that [[spoiler:she confided her frustrations in Nick, who told her about his longtime crush on her, and the two had sex. While they decided to keep it a secret, it is clear that Heather is deeply remorseful about it, and the end of the episode has her tell Tommy.]]
* ThreeWaySex: If you tell Heather about Tommy being "plus three" at the [=HOTs=] party in Episode 7, Heather confronts him about it, somehow ending up with the two of them participating in a threesome with Tania.
* WomanScorned: While Heather and Tommy are technically in an open relationship, their agreement stipulates that they’re supposed to ask for permission before being sexually involved with someone else. However, Tommy doesn't respect the deal and regularly has sex with other girls behind her back. This leads her to reach breaking point in Episode 9, where she, having seen Tommy take Christine to his room to have sex, resolves that she is entitled to screw other people too; if the MC is unattached at this point, she may decide to perform oral sex on him, something she apologizes for during the yoga class.[[spoiler: It is revealed that Heather cheated on Tommy with Nick at the Halloween Party in Episode 9. She deeply regrets it afterwards.]]

Elena is a student at Burgmeister & Royce and sister of The [=HOTs=] sorority. Beings John Boy's girlfriend, they both have a reputation for rarely wearing clothes.
----

* CoolBigSis: Is this to Josy and Ashley after they joined the [=HOTs=].
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: She and her boyfriend John Boy usually wear nothing but their underclothes.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: In combination with John Boy. Like her boyfriend, she believes that it is pointless to wear clothes to parties when you are just going to end up taking them off anyway. Several DIK parties also feature the two of them having sex in the background, most notably in Episode 2 when they are interrupted by the tri-alphas throwing dildos into their mansion.
* SickeninglySweethearts: With her boyfriend, John Boy.
* TeamMom: Helps console Ashley at the Preps' party and is in the healthiest relationship out of all the [=HOTs=], fittingly dating [=DIKs=]' TeamDad John Boy. At the end of Episode 8, she gives MC some very wise relationship advice.
** She also notices how obvious it is that Josy is falling for MC (if you are on Josy's path).

Arieth is a student at Burgmeister & Royce and sister of The [=HOTs=] sorority. She is the girlfriend of Dawe, but is known to frequently cheat on him.
----

* AbhorrentAdmirer: To several characters, but mostly to Anthony, Caleb, and the MC.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: She has a crush on Anthony who has a crush on Ashley.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Sometimes she seems out of this world.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: If the MC runs into her on Swyper, he will try to tell her that she has crabs, only for her to comically misinterpret what he is saying every time.
* DistaffCounterpart: To Derek. Both are ditzy, horny, and suck at keeping secrets. The only notable difference being that Arieth ReallyGetsAround while Derek is a CasanovaWannabe.
* TheDitz: PlayedForLaughs. It's a wonder that Arieth was accepted into B&R; this woman makes Dawe and Anthony look bright. For example, there's one scene where she attempts to boil a can of soup. Not the soup out of the can; she tries to ''boil the can''.
** This does, however, cause other characters to ignore her, which is occasionally exploited; [[spoiler:Quinn doesn't include her in any of her plans, and so Josy and Maya are able to get around Quinn's attempt to get blackmail material on them using the filmed tasks for the scavenger hunt by showing the evidence to Arieth.]]
* TheDreaded: Seemingly by many of the Alphas, who don't want much to do with her. At the [=HOTs=] party, the MC is able to clear out a room of hostile Alphas just by convincing Arieth to enter it.
* HeldBackInSchool: She's still taking first-years classes.
* KindheartedSimpleton: The dumbest character in the game, but she's never portrayed as anything but sweet and good-intentioned.
* ReallyGetsAround: Although she is Dawes' girlfriend, she has slept with ''every'' DIK except for the MC (and potentially Derek if MC goes home to Maya after the [=DIK's=] party in Episode 2). She has crabs and everyone knows whom she's slept with just by that fact alone.
** [[spoiler:Episode 9 reveals that she’s pregnant, and all of the Alphas (except for Anthony) are dumbfounded.]]
* STDImmunity: Averted. Arieth has crabs and is seemingly too dumb to realize it.

----
* HartmanHips: Has a very slim waist and a ''very'' shapely lower half. This is discussed often; she will even have sex with the MC during the Preps' party for free if you told Sage that she has the best ass during the movie screening at the HOT house.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Mona in Season 1, causing her to deeply miss Mona [[spoiler:when she drops out of school after the Stephen Burke fiasco.]] Season 2 has her paired most often with her new roommate, Riona.
* NakedFirstImpression: Cammy is first seen on screen, unintroduced, sunbathing topless outside the HOT house with Quinn and Sage when Maya is talking about the Greek life organizations. Her first named appearance occurs when the MC breaks into the HOT house to steal the panties for the [=DIKs=], and has her take off her towel and potentially fellate the MC.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Can have sex with the MC on the crowded dance floor during the Halloween party in Episode 10.
* NiceGirl: Cammy is, in general, nice to most of the characters we see her interact with, including Mona, Riona, and the MC, most notably when she tells Riona she is smarter than she thinks she is.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Despite being introduced in Episode 1, Camila does not feature on screen clothed till Episode 2.
* SpicyLatina: Invoked when Quinn's name for her as part of the restaurant is "Spicy", but overall averted: Cammy is fairly level-headed and mellow in all of her interactions.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially [[spoiler: with Mona & the MC in Episode 3 and Riona & the MC in Episode 7.]]
* TokenMinority: The only Hispanic student at B&R; the only other Hispanic character is Neil's friend Luis.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: When Riona is scared of not being good enough to finish college, a fear Quinn exploits in Episode 6 to convince her to keep the business going, Camila assures her she's way smarter than she thinks.

* SacrificialLamb: [[spoiler: Prior to Mona's incident with Burke, Quinn's restaurant was nothing but a cheap way for the player to unlock lewd scenes. Mona's departure revealed the dark aspect of the prostitution ring.]]
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: At the end of Season 2.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially [[spoiler: with Camila & the MC in Episode 3.]]

* BetaCouple: With Derek in Season 1.
* BookSmart: She’s one of the top students in Bella's class.
* WhatTheHellHero: Her budding relationship with Derek throughout Season 1 is destroyed when he, while drunk, has sex with Wendy. She spends the Preps party in Episode 5 weeping on the top floor, and subsequently gets together with [[spoiler:Anthony]].
** She does, however, seemingly still have feelings for Derek. If the MC talks to her about Derek at the [=HOT=] party, she asks him to tell him that she isn't mad at him anymore; telling Derek this leads him to text Ashley, causing her to leave the party, only to emerge from Derek's room the next morning, though it is unclear if they had sex.

----

* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Subverted. While she does tell the MC that she likes "his balls" after he shoos away a tri-Alpha trying to chat her up at a party the [=DIKs=] aren't supposed to be at, she actually is much easier to romance as a non-DIK; a neutral or CHICK MC can convince Lily to have sex with him at the Preps' party for free, while a DIK MC has to pay (and a MC who put his finger in her ass during the first visit to the Pink Rose has to pay double). However, she doesn't have any affinity- or status-based restrictions otherwise; if the MC has sex with her at the Preps' party, he can romance her no matter what.
-->'''Lily:''' Wanna know what I like about you ? Your balls.
* AssShove: [[spoiler:In Episode 3, the MC can shove his finger up Lily's ass. She doesn't take it well and slaps him in return; notably, this slap can count as the third slap for the [=DIKs=]' pledge board task.]]
** [[spoiler:She holds on to that grudge, too. If the player finds and propositions her during the ANO party in Episode 5, she will charge you double if you did this in Episode 3.]]
* BerserkButton: She hates the fact some people label strippers as stupid and whorish.
* ConsummateLiar: Lily is a very good liar. When [[spoiler:Vinny]] reveals that he has seen Tania smoking outside the DIK mansion and therefore questions her original lie to him about the Pink Rose girls trying to quit, Lily, to his face, says that Tania has been having trouble kicking the habit and so the rest of the girls gave her their stash.
* DudeMagnet: She's very popular with boys and she knows it.
* EveryoneHasStandards: While she usually remains unfazed, Dawe got under her skin by passing out flyers with naked Cathy pictures.
* FlexibilityEqualsSexAbility: To the MC's delight, she's very flexible and she knows how to use her skills in bed.
* TheGadfly: Could give Quinn a run for her money.
* GirlishPigtails: Her default haircut.
* HiddenDepths: She plans to work in healthcare. Her occupation as a stripper is just a way to get a lot of money with no debt or mortgages to pay.
* NervesOfSteel: Unlike the other pledges, she's utterly unfazed by Quinn, even mocking her for not having anything on her that she can exploit. She also [[spoiler:stares down Vinny and lies to his face]] in Episode 9.
* NotSoDifferentRemark: Invokes the trope with Quinn.
-->'''Quinn:''' You always have an answer, don’t you ?
-->'''Lily:''' Do I remind you of someone ?
-->'''Quinn:''' It’s like we’re sisters, and you’re the younger and annoying one.
* MsFanservice: It's part of the job.
* OptionalSexualEncounter: It is extremely easy for the MC to miss out on romancing her if [[spoiler:he doesn't reply to her cluck and tell her that he could try to get her some tequila during the Preps' party]] in Episode 5, especially given that Rooster posts and reactions have not affected the game until this point.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Don't be fooled by her bimbo persona; Lily is ''sharp''. She is aware of Quinn's drug business almost immediately on getting into B&R and is not above eavesdropping on her conversations to ensure that she is never vulnerable or out of the loop.
** [[spoiler:On realising that Quinn and Vinny sell the same product and Quinn sells for cheaper, she gets the Pink Rose girls together to buy their drugs off Quinn instead, along with making an excuse for Vinny to not question why they've suddenly stopped buying off him.]]
* SocialClimber: Shows hints of of being interested in the MC as much for his growing BigManOnCampus reputation, as the physical attraction. She asks the MC to ''roll'' with her but also warns him not to fall in love with her.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Most of her outfits, even outside her job. She is so used to this that, when Josy and Camila complain about the [=HOTs=]' outfit being too tiny, she retorts that she'd be fired for being overdressed if she wore it to work.

Cathy is the General Education teacher at B&R, teaching the MC English and Math. She is also friendly with the [=DIKs=], particularly Rusty.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: It is unclear whether Cathy [[spoiler:ever slept with Stephen]]. The only source for this is that [[spoiler:Jade heard Stephen [[WrongNameOutburst say Cathy's name while drunk and in bed with her]], and she never confirmed it or confronted either of them because she was too afraid of it being true. Given Stephen's behavior and activities, it is also unclear how...consensual it was if it did happen.]]
* CoolTeacher: For the [=DIKs=], especially Rusty.
* DrowningMySorrows: While she is hardly averse to enjoying some wine in the bathtub even before, Cathy hits the bottle pretty hard after [[spoiler:the nude photo leak]]. Her first appearance following that event is drinking wine with Jill and Isabella, and she can be found in [=MacAllen=]'s bar with Jade in Episode 6.
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler:Her leaked nude picture on the rooster leaves her shattered to the point of leaving B&R.]]
* EroticDream: In Episodes 1 and 2 the MC has several of these about either Cathy or Jade, depending on which one he tells Derek that he prefers.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Jade; the two are seen hanging out on several occasions, even outside B&R.
* NaughtyByNight: Somewhat downplayed. Cathy is a prim-and-proper professional as a teacher at B&R, although she is sometimes tempted to peruse Swyper in class. Her persona on the site, however, has her dressed in dominatrix garb. Cathy does [[ProperlyParanoid take some precautions if she ever matches with students]], however, as seen if you match with her on the app: she instantly ceases contact if you acknowledge her identity, and demands a dick pic so that she can leak it if you threaten to expose her.
* OptionalSexualEncounter: It is entirely possible to get through the game not knowing that Cathy ''can'' be seduced. [[spoiler:Matching with "C" on Swyper and making sure that she does not reject or cut off contact with you has her sext with the MC. If you did so, you can, while driving her home from Isabella's house in Episode 5, have her perform oral sex on the MC in Bella's car. Tremolo runs into her again in Episode 10, and if he is unattached and asked to not end things, she invites him home; the two can subsequently have sex.]]
* PaperThinDisguise: It's not hard to tell that [[spoiler:"C" on Swyper]] is actually her.
* PutOnABus: Cathy resigns from B&R in Episode 7 after she [[spoiler:is unable to handle the fallout of her nude photo leak]].
** TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:Tremolo and Derek run into Cathy on the street while returning from the chemistry lab in Episode 10, and an unattached MC who seduced her in Episode 5 can have sex with her.]]
* UnresolvedSexualTension: With the main character. [[spoiler:Potentially resolved in Episode 10.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Jade]]
!!Dr. Jade Burke
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beingadik_2023_01_29_17_59_49.png]]
Jade is the MC's gender studies professor at B&R. She is Stephen's wife, but seems to be eyeing the MC with less-than-academic intent in mind.
----
* AffectionateNickname: A pretty weird one. Her default pet name for the MC is "Son".
* AgeGapRomance: "Romance" is perhaps too strong a term, but she can have a sexual relationship with the MC, though it is primarily a means to resolve her anger issues and frustrations. Notably, unlike Isabella, the other significantly older B&R faculty member with whom the MC can have a sexual relationship, Jade plays up their age gap – the MC has the option to call her "mommy" during dirty talk (she even calls him "son"!).
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Jade is insecure because of her husband's obvious attraction to Isabella.
* BerserkButton: She hates it when someone asks her about menopause, as Derek found out the hard way. [[spoiler:Justified once it's revealed that she's infertile.]]
* BrokenBird: If the MC accepted her advances in earlier episodes, after his and Maya's fight during her class in Episode 4, she will tell him about how her marriage broke down when Stephen came home one day drunk, dragged her to bed, and [[WrongNameOutburst whispered Cathy's name in her ear]]. This essentially led to the destruction of her marriage in her mind, and she stays together only for the sake of their children [[spoiler:Tybalt and Sage]].
* EroticDream: In Episodes 1 and 2 the MC has several of these about either Cathy or Jade, depending on which one he tells Derek that he prefers.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Cathy. They are often seen together in non-academic situations: relaxing in the cafeteria, shopping in the local mall, and notably in [=MacAllen's=] bar in Episode 6 after [[spoiler:the nude photo leak]]. It's the biggest reason why [[spoiler:Stephen whispering Cathy's name in Jade's ear feels like such a betrayal, and why she is so reluctant to confirm whether the two had ever slept together.]]
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: She can be very aggressive in bed and she uses her sexual sessions with the MC to get rid of her anger issues.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: In class, in a supply closet, in a bathroom. She has no limits.
* MeaningfulName: It is fitting that a character named ''Jade'' is cynical and hardened.
* MrsRobinson: She's old enough to be MC's mother.
* NotGoodWithRejection: She gets really pissed off if the MC rejects her.
* PsychoExGirlfriend: Has shades of this if you break up with her at the end of Episode 8.
* RichBitch: Very wealthy and very narcissistic.
* StrawFeminist: Averted despite being the teacher for the feminist course. She even holds contempt towards the more radical women in her class.
* WomanScorned: Becomes one if the MC dumps her at the end of Episode 8.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Stephen]]
!!Stephen Burke
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep9_burkes12.jpg]]
Stephen is a counselor at B&R. He is also revealed to be a wealthy man who clearly has trouble keeping it in his pants, with Jade often catching him cheating on her.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Something is ''up'' with Stephen. It is clear that he is tied to Quinn's restaurant, to the point that he is able to essentially single-handedly [[spoiler:revoke Mona's scholarship when she refuses to sleep with him, leading to her dropping out from B&R]].
* AwfulWeddedLife: Stephen's marriage with his wife Jade has hit a low point, due to his multiple infidelities and dishonesty. A flash back also reveals that Jade resented him being a workaholic. By the current times both admit there's no more love between them. Stephen finally files for divorce in Episode 10.
* BadLiar: He's not good at hiding his lust for Bella.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: A flashback in Episode 10 reveals that after losing his former job [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished for refusing to engage in securities fraud]], he felt that he had lost meaning in his life and was trapped in an unhappy marriage. His wife deeply resented him for being a workaholic and he admits to having adopted Sage and Tybalt because Jade desparately wanted to have children after learning of her infertility. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he was never able to connect with them and really see them as his own children. It's also revealed that, [[FreudianExcuse when younger, he was never able to properly speak about his feelings with his own father]] mainly because the latter expected him to be strong, [[TheChainOfHarm mirroring his own relationship with Sage]].
* DeadSparks: By the time the game begins, Jade and Stephen's marriage is functionally over; the two only stay together for the sake of their children. Despite their (fairly half-hearted) attempts at trying to bring some spice back into their love life (most notably with Isabella), they seemingly feel little for each other anymore. Stephen routinely cheats on her with students, including [[spoiler:girls from the restaurant]], and Jade spends most of Season 1 trying to seduce the MC. [[spoiler:Unsurprisingly, Stephen files for divorce in Episode 10, despite Jade promising that she will do her best to take everything he has]].
* DirtyOldMan: He has cheated on his wife with female students young enough to be his daughters and he's lusting after Bella. There's also the fact that [[spoiler:he has used Quinn's restaurant, severely traumatising Mona for money during the Preps party.]]
* PsychoticSmirk: If [[spoiler:the MC recorded a sextape with Jade and showed it to Derek, the tape will be leaked and sent to Burke. Watching the tape put a sinister smile on his face.]]

[[folder:Science Teacher (spoilers)]]
!!Dr. Nora Jenkins
[[quoteright:559:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beingadik_2023_10_30_16_56_13.png]]
Dr. Nora Jenkins is a teacher at Burgmeister & Royce, initially meeting the Main Character on the dating app Swyper.
----
* EarlyBirdCameo: Nora can be found on Swyper around the first time the MC has it installed on his phone. Most players didn't expect that this woman would be the MC's ''science teacher''.
* OptionalSexualEncounter: Being in a sexual (or any) relationship with Nora requires the MC to talk to her on Swyper and accept the fake ID from Tommy; she can be found in [=MacAllen's=] at the bar, and chatting her up will have her drag him to the bathroom. She can be met in the gym in Episode 8 as well, though receiving her number here only requires you to have impressed her on Swyper.
* TeacherStudentRomance: Nora can be romanced even after you become her student in chemistry class, if you are unattached.

[[folder:Philip]]
!!Philip Hoff
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep10_ipb5_9.jpg]]
Philip Hoff is a math teacher at B&R. He replaces Cathy as MC's teacher after she resigns following the Rooster cluck scandal.

----
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: On the receiving end. A seemingly innocuous piece of advice from the MC to another student early in the game can affect whether Philip is assaulted or not during a chess match. If convinced to join the chess club, [[SoreLoser the student]] will violently beat up Philly [[DisproportionateRetribution just because he was losing the match. ]]
* SmartPeoplePlayChess : He is the defending champion of the B&R Chess Tournament.

!The Pink Rose
Staff at the Pink Rose, a strip club patronized by the [=DIKs=]. For Lily, see 'The [=HOTs=]'.

[[folder:Envy]]
!!Nicole "Envy"
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep6_bar16_3.jpg]]
A stripper at the Pink Rose. The player can run into her on Swyper and have a more involved relationship with her.
----
* AgeGapRomance: Downplayed compared to the other older romanceable women in the game (she is only 30 compared to Isabella's mid-to-late 30s and Jade being seemingly in her 40s), but if the MC makes a good impression on her on Swyper, she will be happy to have an intimate relationship with him, possibly progressing to a full-blown RelationshipUpgrade in Episode 9.
* AmicableExes: Zigzagged. While Nicole seems to bear little ill will towards Luke, saying that the main reason for them breaking up was them simply realising that they were better off apart, she mentions that Luke has yet to come to terms with her job as a stripper; at one point, he even said that he wanted full custody and thought she wasn't fit to be a mother. While they are civil to each other in front of Marvin, she worries that he is waiting for her to make a mistake.
* BeneathTheMask: During her first few meetings, "Envy" comes off as a seasoned strip club veteran, unfazed by the demands of her profession. If the player makes efforts to get closer to her, then she reveals much more of her life to him, particularly during their date in Episode 10, where she talks about how long it took her to get used to being a stripper for a living and her struggles as a SingleMomStripper.
-->'''MC''': Nicole...I didn't realize any of this.
-->'''Nicole''': How could you? I'm not unique that way, [MC]. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you don't know anything about. That's why I always try to be kind.
* ColorMotif: Green, fitting her name. Lampshaded immediately when she introduces herself during the first visit to the Pink Rose:
-->'''MC''': Envy, huh. Is that why you dress in green?
-->'''Envy''': No, it's because it gives customers an easy pick-up line.
-->'''MC''': Damn it, I should have made a joke about you being a deadly sin.
-->'''Envy''': Make it two pick-up lines.
* OptionalSexualEncounter: It is very easy to have the player's only interactions with Nicole throughout Seasons 1 and 2 be seeing her during the first visit to the Pink Rose (where you need not interact with her at all) in Episode 3 and cleaning their changing room in Episode 7, if you don't see her, or get her to like you, on Swyper, and if you refuse the fake ID from Tommy in Episode 6.
* RelationshipUpgrade: If you're on good terms with her in Episode 9 and otherwise unattached, the player and Nicole can agree to a date, which happens in Episode 10.
* RomanceAndSexualitySeparation: An unusual version, given it's mostly just a case of keeping her work and personal lives separate. If the MC runs into her on Swyper after the first visit to the Pink Rose, she will be conducive to conversation only if he doesn't bring up her work as a stripper. Meeting her in the Pink Rose in Episode 7 after having improved your relationship with her has her request the MC to only call her "Envy" at work, though once they get into it more she does ask him to call her "Nicole" again.
* SingleMomStripper: An early Swyper conversation has her mention that she has to pick up her son from school. Indeed, as her Episode 10 date reveals, providing for Marvin was the primary reason she went into the business after she broke up with Luke, given her non-existent relationship with her parents. Notably, it has led to a turbulent relationship with Luke, even resulting in him once asking for full custody. Nicole keeps her work a secret from Marvin, and hopes that he won't find out for a long while yet.
-->'''Nicole''': I felt ashamed about it for a long time. But you tell me how an uneducated 23-year-old single mom can get a well-paying job because I couldn't figure it out.
-->'''MC''': ''[beat]'' But do you like doing it?
-->'''Nicole''': At first, I hated it. But I had to because it was my best option. [[ItGetsEasier Then, after a while, you get used to it]]. It becomes like any other job, I guess. You grow thick skin fast because you have to. It's the only way to survive in that business. Horny and drunk men can be ruthless. I went to bed crying many nights...I got into fights with Luke over it, too. At one point, he told me he wanted full custody and that I wasn't a fit mother. That really hurt. I was only trying my best to survive and provide, but he didn't see it. As long as Marvin doesn't know can can stay protected from it...we'll be fine. Of course, there will come a day when he'll know all about it. But I wish for it to be in the distant future.
-->'''MC''': You've worked in this business for a long time now. Is it still a problem for you and Luke?
-->'''Nicole''': While it got easier for me to do my job, Luke never came to terms with it. We can stay civil in front of Marvin, but I know he's watching me with eagle eyes, in case I slip up somehow.
-->'''MC''': That's rough.
-->'''Nicole''': He's a great father. Perhaps, too good. Sometimes, it makes me feel like I'm a bad mother.
* StacysMom: Is old enough to have a ten-year-old child, and yet is very popular among the college-aged [=DIKs=], barring perhaps Derek. Downplayed, though; she is only 30.
* ThreeWaySex : Potentially [[spoiler: with Sandy & the MC in Episode 6 and Lily & the MC in Episode 9.]]

A stripper at The Pink Rose, where she is a close friend of Envy.
----
* AffectionateNickname: If the MC [[spoiler: has a threesome with her & Envy in Episode 6 ]] she will affectionately call him "Lamb Chop".
* AllWomenAreLustful: While Nicole has some conflicted feelings about engaging in a sexual relationship with a teenager at her age, Sandy has absolutely no qualms. She immediately expresses her attraction to the MC and, after their initial sexual encounter, is eager to continue. Nicole will mention that Sandy "won't stop raving" about Tremolo and that she intends to continue having sex with him.

* ScaryBlackMan: Wanna make a mess in the club? The guy will kick your ass. This is averted otherwise, though; he's a pretty chill guy if you follow the rules.

* AdvertisedExtra: She was a highly advertised character, but she has no impact or relevance to the story. In fact, it is possible for you to not visit the VIP section of the Pink Rose and thus never see her at all.
* OptionalSexualEncounter: It is extremely easy to never interact with Madame Rose; you can go through the entire game without even knowing she exists by either losing Hell Week, or winning Hell Week and then refusing the VIP pass for the Pink Rose.

!!Rose, Brandi, Tania, Bartender
* OneSteveLimit: Rose and Madame Rose are unrelated. It does help that Rose stops being a prominent character around the time the Madam enters.
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: This ''is'' a strip club. When the bartender asks the MC to clean the changing room in Episode 7, he asks if he should wait for the girls to get done changing; the bartender's response is to casually pull down her top and remind him where he is, reassuring him that they have no problems being seen without their clothes. When he does go in there, none of them even motion to cover themselves, casually chatting with him and gently ribbing him for resolutely cleaning the corner furthest from them.
* TokenMinority: Brandi is the only black woman in the game.

!!Chad
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/d1_lunch10d.jpg]]
The president of the tri-Alphas at the start of the game, and Sage's boyfriend who is seemingly cheating on her.
----
* ArmouredClosetGay: Downplayed. While he is the leader of the tri-alphas, who usually express ''very'' homophobic attitudes (''especially'' his vice-president Dawe), and is revealed to be gay himself, he himself doesn't act homophobic, even when with them.
* BeneathTheMask: While he acts like a BigJerkOnCampus, [[spoiler:he's actually gay and dislikes Alpha's hypermasculine and homophobic attitude.]]
* BerserkButton: Don't sprout homophobic slurs in his presence.
* TheBigGuy: For the Alphas.
* BigJerkOnCampus: Played with. With him being a jock, dating the president of the only sorority on campus, and going out of his way to assert dominance over other "inferior" students, he embodies this. In appareance at last : [[spoiler: He's actually in a relationship with Troy and uses Sage as a beard. His whole jerkass persona is more an act than his real personality.]]
* BrokenPedestal: A big one for Sage. [[spoiler:If the MC reveals his secret affair with Troy, Sage will realize that Chad simply used her as a beard and never really liked her.]]
* ClosetGay: The ending of Episode 7 reveals that Chad has been cheating on Sage with [[spoiler:Troy]] when the MC catches them kissing in the gym locker room. [[spoiler:Tremolo can choose whether or not to tell Josy and Sage; telling the latter will make her realize that she had been used as his [[TheBeard beard]] all along]].
* CurbStompBattle: If the player loses the brawler mini-game when ambushed by Chad, he'll be absolutely obliterated.
** Averted if the player wins the mini-game. The MC will put a good fight and even manage to make Chad bleed.
* DirtyCoward: He has used Sage [[spoiler:as a beard]] for years with no consideration for her feelings. He then [[spoiler: dumps her without an honest explanation.]]
** After being repeatedly punched by Sage [[spoiler:for dumping her]], he'd rather hide behind his pal than confront her again.
* TheDreaded: He's one for the [=DIKs=] to the point that if the MC stands up to him in the cafeteria when he's yelling at Sage, this will instantly endear him to them.
* MakesUsEven: If the MC defends him in Burke's office, he will later repay the favor by stopping his friend from attacking the MC.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Gets one from Sage after dumping her. While he appears to take the hits with no apparent bruises, he'll later admit Sage punched him really hard.

!!Dawe
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep2_chad_shower9_blink0_7.jpg]]
Vice-president of the Tri-alphas.
----
* ArchEnemy: Considers the [=DIKs=] to be this, especially Tommy and the MC.
* TheBully: His main occupation. His first scene is him wedgieing the MC, and he goes on to more heinous acts from there, notably [[spoiler:printing out Cathy's nude photo onto flyers and putting them up all over campus]].
* DumbJock: Is clearly an idiot, probably the dumbest of the Alphas.
* EmasculatedCuckold: Played for laughs. His girlfriend Arieth cheats on him regularly with anything that moves. As the icing on the cake, she has slept with every DIK except for MC (and potentially Derek if MC goes home to Maya after the DIK's party in Episode 2).
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Before you even find out who he is. When Neil drops off the MC on campus on his first day at school, Dawe is the guy who, seeing the MC hug his father and tell him he loves him, mocks him and calls him gay. His first named scene is the one where he wedgies the MC.
* HatedByAll: Bar the Alphas, everyone hates Dawe. Even his girlfriend uses the [=#FuckYouDawe=] hashtag on Rooster.
* HateSink: Jerk, bully, homophobe. The guy seems to have no redeemable qualities.
* HeldBackInSchool: He and Anthony are still taking first-year classes.
* HumiliationConga: Where to start? His lack of intelligence is played for laughs, his girlfriend keeps cheating on him, girls make fun of his small penis, Derek (or the MC) fill his shaker with sperm for the pledge board and he's constantly humiliated on social media.
* JerkJock: Of all the jocks, he's the most unsympathetic one.
* KarmicButtMonkey: A bullying, homophobic, and sexist JerkJock who also experiences a HumiliationConga. Additionally, the MC often gets the better of him.
* LousyLoversAreLosers : Due to his small penis and erection issues. When having sex with Arieth in "100%", he is so unimpressive that Arieth is casually scrolling through her phone and looks at pictures of Jacob with a mildly bored expression during the act.
* MyGirlIsNotASlut: Gets upset at Arieth flirting with other men and cheating on him (understandably so), yet flirts and tries to score with other girls too.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: He's not only a jerk but a homophobe and a misogynist.
* StrawMisogynist: Best exemplified on Rooster where he'll make insensitive, demeaning, and objectifying comments regarding the [=HOTs=], only for everyone else to call him out for it. Notably, when the presidents and vice-presidents of the [=DIKs=], the [=HOTs=], and the tri-alphas are discussing about the [=HOTs=] partying with both fraternities in Episode 10, Dawe petulantly yells that the [=DIKs=] cannot "take [the [=HOTs=]] from us".
* TeenyWeenie: Has a tiny pecker, as seen when he is [[TheLoinsSleepTonight trying to]] have sex with Arieth before Chad informs him of his removal from the tri-Alphas. If the MC doesn't fight Caleb in Episode 5 and then walks Sage home when she is sick, then Sage mocks him for it when he calls her a slut.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep7_hot_ash_event_7.jpg]]
* DumbJock: Like the rest of the Alphas. Best example being when Cathy mentions how he failed her English class the previous semester, to which he asks how would she know.
* HeldBackInSchool: He and Dawe are still taking first-year classes.
* KindheartedSimpleton: Not the brightest person (as is typical for the Alphas), but he's always kind and congenial, even with the [=DIKs=] who rival the Alphas.
* LovableJock: Downplayed. He still takes part in messing with [=DIKs=] and was complicit with bullying the MC at the start. In addition he treats Cathy rather poorly. However, in contrast to the rest of the Alphas, he's a pretty decent guy.
* NiceGuy: Downplayed. The nicest (probably the only nice) Alpha, he never tries to antagonize anyone, he's nothing but friendly, even to the rival [=DIKs=], and he treats [[spoiler:Ashley]] with respect when he is with her.
* SucksAtDancing: He's terrible but at least he has fun.
* TokenGoodTeammate: To the Alphas. You can at least see what [[spoiler:Ashley]] sees in him.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ep5_jock46.jpg]]
* TheBrute: Serves as this for the Alphas. He's huge, and even the MC, who can take on multiple Alphas simultaneously, can barely stagger him.
* TheJuggernaut: By far the strongest and toughest opponent the MC has ever faced.
* MadeOfIron: He's not even remotely fazed by the main character's punches and took a kick in the chin without falling.
* TheRival: For the MC. Both are the top fighters of their fraternity.
* UnskilledButStrong: While huge and strong, he's more of a brawler than a skilled fighter.

Magnar is the president of the tri-betas.
----
* NerdGlasses: His most prominent item.
* NiceGuy: A bit arrogant, but remains polite to the MC and even invites him to join their tabletop games.
* ProudToBeAGeek: Has no insecurities about his likes, and even shares his hobbies with MC.
* TheSmartGuy: He's the top student for a reason.
* StereotypicalNerd: Oh yeah. Magnar has most of the stereotypical attributes down pat, from a lack of fashion sense to his nerdy Dungeons and Gremlins hobby to his relative unattractiveness to his (and his fraternity's) low ranking in B&R's pecking order. That said, he isn't shown to be socially awkward (at least in the situations where we see him) and is dating Sally at the start of the game.
* SurroundedByIdiots: His reaction during the dorm party.
* UnknownRival: He's at the top of the class, but if MC does well enough on the quizzes, he becomes Magnar's academic rival. MC won't find out about this until Episode 8.

!!Sally

Magnar's girlfriend.
----
* BelligerentSexualTension: While nearly every interaction between her and the MC is antagonistic to some degree given Sally's {{Jerkass}} nature and she seems to be happy enough with Magnar, some frames also imply a degree of sexual tension between them.
* ComedicSpanking: A running gag in the D&G session. A MC on the DIK path can spank her multiple times in a middle of a fight.
* DeadpanSnarker: Tybalt & the main character learn it the hard way.
-->'''Sally:''' Take a hike, posh boy ! Go apply another fake tan or something.
-->'''Tybalt:''' Haha! Wh-What ? Fake tan ? I can assure you, nothing is fake about me.
-->'''Sally:''' Oh please ! The only thing that's British about you are your yellow teeth.
* GoingCommando: Sally never seems to wear a bra, as seen when she uses VictoriasSecretCompartment to store [[spoiler:the drugs she buys from Quinn]]. While [[{{Fanservice}} this is also true for a large part of the female cast]], it is notable for Sally because she tends to dress relatively conservatively (by B&R standards, anyway).
** When dressing in a toga and olive wreath for the Halloween party in Episode 9, Sally decides to wear nothing underneath, apparently for "historical accuracy" (as the MC lampshades, this does not stop her from wearing her wristwatch and glasses). This decision comes back to bite her in the ass when she accidentally slips in the darkness during the power outage and ruins her dress, causing her to be stuck in the upstairs bathroom stark naked.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Karen starting from Season 2, to the point she barely hangs out with Magnar at all.
* {{Jerkass}}: No matter what the main character says or does, she always acts unfriendly towards him. The nicest she gets is thanking the MC for getting her some clothes after her dress gets ruined in Episode 9.
* NerdGlasses: In most of her scenes.
* OfficialCouple: With Magnar.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her outfit in the D&G session, a sort of mage outfit that's just straps of clothing prone to opening up at the slightest touch. Admittedly, the visuals of the D&G sessions are implied to be in the MC's imagination.

Tybalt is the president of ANO. He also lets Jill stay at their mansion, and seems obsessed with trying to win her affections, to her obvious disinterest.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Jill. Even at the start of the game, while she treats him politely, he cannot stop talking to her about her family, to the point she is glad to talk to the MC (even a DIK MC!) in the library just because he talks about something other than himself. His further actions to earn her favour only succeed in alienating her more.
** Tybalt's antics do not stop even after [[spoiler:Jill angrily rebukes him at the end of Episode 8]]. Episode 9 reveals that he has begun to practice yoga outside her window (so it's the first thing she sees when she opens her curtains) and that he has started playing the cello (badly) when she practices the piano. Notably, this latter behaviour is indicated to be an attempt to measure up to the MC, given how his skill with the guitar [[spoiler:may have saved her recital.]]
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Tybalt is noticeably darker than most of the cast, but his actual ethnicity is unclear. Sally accuses him of overusing fake tan, but we don't find out if this is the case or if this is just [[JerkAss Sally being Sally]].
* {{Archenemy}}: Considers the MC to be this. It's one-sided on his part; [[UnknownRival the MC sees him as a minor nuisance at best]].
* ButtMonkey: For the whole campus.
* CaughtWithYourPantsDown: After Jill talks to Trent and learns that Tybalt had lied about Trent wanting to sue the MC, as well as about there being a fire in the mansion, the two of them barge into Tybalt's room to confront him about his behavior, only to see him masturbating using a watermelon. Notably, said watermelon has a picture of Jill taped onto it, along with [[spoiler:the ring he used to propose to her in Episode 8...as well as the panties he had stolen from her in Episode 2, which he had accused the MC of stealing.]]
-->'''Jill''': So, we went upstairs to Tybalt's room to have a chat and [[BrainBleach the next 20 seconds I would like to have erased from my memory]].
-->'''MC''': What happened?
-->'''Jill''': Tybalt and [[TeenyWeenie his teeny-tiny Tybbie]] was having intercourse with a fruit I'll never be able to enjoy again.
* CovertPervert: An unsympathetic example, as he crosses the line. When the MC and Derek break into his room and are caught by Tybalt, they see that he has stolen and is sniffing a pair of Jill's underwear.
* DidNotGetTheGirl: [[SarcasmMode Shockingly]], constantly discussing their families and status and subsequently blackmailing Jill to cut off contact with the MC by threatening to sue him does not endear him to her.
* DoggedNiceGuy: Of the cynical variety towards Jill. Tybalt really only likes Jill for her background and believes that because they both have a wealthy and influential family background they should be together. However, he only acts nice to her in a passive aggressive manner and treats everyone else besides her in a condescending manner. He even resorts to blackmailing Jill when he sees the MC as a threat to him.
* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: He really thought that blackmail was a good way to win Jill's affection. [[spoiler:Jill angrily berates him for forcing her on those dates, trying to hurt people she cares about (namely the MC), and for having the audacity to ask her to marry him after all of that. Tybalt himself is profusely crying by the end of her whole monologue.]]
* DreadfulMusician : Episode 9 reveals that he has started playing the cello, especially when Jill practices the piano. Of course, he doesn't realize how out of tune he is, much to Jill and the pledges annoyance.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: Absolutely no one takes him seriously.
* EntitledToHaveYou: The way he behaves with Jill.
* FakeBrit: In-universe. Sally points out that he puts on a fake British accent to seem more posh, despite the game taking place in the United States.
* GagPenis: If the MC snaps a dick pic with his phone, [[spoiler:the picture will show up during Tybalt's presentation leaving him completely humiliated and confused.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: His reason for trying to ruin Jill & the MC's relationship.
* HatedByAll: Even worse than Dawe – at least the tri-alphas have Dawe's back; ''nobody'' likes Tybalt. Episode 8 reveals that even the Preps' pledges act like [[ProfessionalButtKisser ass-kissers]] to stay on his good side but secretly loathe him, and Episode 9 reveals that even his mother seems to barely tolerate him and his sister runs the "Tyballs" Rooster account that makes fun of him.
* HateSink: He regularly refers to the main character as poor trash, slaps him on at least one occasion, blackmails Jill into going on three dates with him, and has stolen (and sniffed!) her underwear.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: He doesn't realize how much Isabella hates him. Worse, he's delusional to the point of thinking Jill is into him, despite the fact he literally has to blackmail her into going on dates with him.
* HumiliationConga: Derek & the MC sneaked into his house multiple times, ruining his party and his expensive clothes.
** The MC can smash his teeth and ruin his presentation with a dick pic.
** Even worse, the MC can [[spoiler:have sex with his mother, his adoptive sister and his crush.]]
** [[spoiler:The icing on the cake is when, while Tybalt is bawling his eyes out alone in the restaurant, the waiter pops a confetti cannon that Tybalt had given him to celebrate the proposal. If MC is pursuing Jill and chooses to be with her after talking with Elena, the cherry on top is when the above scene happens, except Jill and MC are making out right in front of Tybalt when the waiter pops the cannon.]]
* IBangedYourMom: [[spoiler:The MC can potentially have sex with his mother Jade.]]
* ItsAllAboutMe: His favorite subject seems to be himself, to the point that Jill is glad to talk to the MC (even a DIK MC!) simply because he talks about something other than himself and his career prospects and his rich family.
* ManipulativeBastard: He takes advantage of Jill's naivete and NiceGirl nature by shamelessly lying to her about several things. He blames the MC for stealing her panties when he had done it himself, and then tells her that the MC started a fire in the Preps' mansion (he didn't, Derek only set off the fire sprinklers) and that his vice-president Trent wanted to sue Tremolo before Tybalt convinced him to not do so (even calling Trent petty), manipulating her into agreeing to go on three dates with him and cutting off contact with the MC. This is revealed in Episode 10, where Jill talks to Trent and learns the truth, before the two of them barge into Tybalt's room in the middle of him [[CaughtWithYourPantsDown masturbating using a watermelon and said panties]].
* MommasBoy: A negative version. As his mother babies him and he lets her. Even going to her and complaining when things don't go his way asking her to fix it. It reaches to rather creepy levels when he refers to her as "mommy" and if the MC decides to sleep with his mom [[spoiler:Jade]] and roleplay she'll call him "son" and want to be called "mommy."
* ObliviousToHatred: Tybalt believes himself to be popular when in reality most students loathe him and laugh at him when he gets humiliated. He doesn’t realize either how much Isabella despises him and truly believes that Jill enjoys his company despite the facts he blackmailed her into going on three dates with him.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Beyond his classism as in PrivilegeMakesYou Evil. On seeing Quinn dancing somewhat suggestively with Josy during the Preps' party in Episode 5, Tybalt tells the latter to "keep that lesbianism elsewhere", saying that it is "appalling". Unsurprisingly, this doesn't endear him to Maya, whose struggles with familial homophobia have led to significant trauma.
* PrivilegeMakesYouEvil: He seems to think that growing up rich makes him better than people poorer than himself, especially MC, whom he calls "trash" and mocks Bella for being "poor" (Note that Bella has a nice home and car, and is likely not poor).
* RelationshipSabotage: He tries (and fails) to do this to Jill and MC.
* RunningGag: He's constantly mocked by a troll account on the Rooster. Adding insult to injury, the troll gets way more likes than him.
* SelfMadeLie: Tybalt brags about raising himself up from the dregs of society to make something of himself. Leaving aside that this is coming from a ''college student'', it's painfully obvious that everything he has is because of his extremely wealthy adoptive parents. Notably, this is PlayedForLaughs given that the only person who seems to believe this is Tybalt himself. His sister Sage is far more appreciative of her privileges.
* ShamelessSelfPromoter: He feels forced to show everyone the newspaper in which he and his family appear.
* SocialClimber: One reason why he wants Jill so badly is because he thinks her Royce name will catapult him socially.
* SpoiledBrat: Constantly brags about his family's wealth.
* StalkerWithACrush: An early Rooster post by Jill of her in a bikini outside getting a tan has him in the background staring at her through the window. This can be lampshaded by the MC, calling him a stalker.
* StraightEdgeEvil: Downplayed, as he doesn't abstain from alcohol but he is an asshole who doesn't do drugs of any kind, according to the vice president Rich.
* UpperClassTwit: Thinks of himself as a SelfMadeMan, but is the child of a wealthy family who donates tons of money to the university and is a complete dunce in general.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rich]]
!!Rich
* MommasBoy: A more sympathetic and positive example than Tybalt. When the MC breaks into the Prep's mansion to speak to Jill, he can overhear a conversation Rich has on the phone about his mother having fallen ill to which he says he'll fly there immediately to be with her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Trent]]
!!Trent
* EarlyBirdCameo: Trent can be seen when the MC and Derek are sneaking in the Preps' mansion in Episode 2; he is the bald guy visible on the right-side window.
* TheGhost: While Tybalt talks about Trent, particularly about his insistence to sue the MC for starting a fire in the Preps' mansion, he never makes it on screen for all of Season 2 (at least not by name). He is UnseenNoMore in Episode 10, where Jill speaks to him and thanks him for not suing Tremolo, where he informs her that he had never wanted to sue the MC, there was no fire, and that it was in fact Tybalt who wanted to sue the MC out of spite for ruining his suit.

Troy is the MC's first roommate at B&R.
* AscendedExtra: Sort of. While Troy does play a critical role in several plot aspects, such as being responsible for the MC getting on the [=DIKs=]' radar and [[spoiler:being the person Chad is cheating on Sage with]], he has barely any screentime after Episode 1 when he kicks Tremolo out from their dorm room. Episode 10 has him become somewhat more prominent, being part of the martial arts training group in Dwyane's gym.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The second the MC enters his dorm, Troy angrily tells him to leave, saying he wants the room to himself; when Tremolo insists on staying, he sets several conditions on him staying in the room ''that he has been assigned''.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's very aggressive to the MC when sharing the dorm with him.
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Troy's only moment where he isn't being a complete asshole is when he compliments your guitar playing, and even then he makes it backhanded so it doesn't seem like he's being nice.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:He's Chad's secret lover.]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: In eight episodes, you can count Troy's appearances on screen on both hands, but if it weren't for him losing the MC's guitar in Episode 1, the player may have never gotten mixed up with the [=DIKs=]. [[spoiler:He also is the person Chad is cheating on Sage with.]]

* AscendedExtra: Karen initially shows up as a one-shot character, being the MC's partner during the Gender Studies class in Episode 4 where he is avoiding talking to Maya. She does become more prominent when she becomes HeterosexualLifePartners with Sally (presumably offscreen) in Season 2, as well as being heavily implied to nurse a crush on the MC.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Sally from Season 2 onwards.
* RunningGag: Karen's hearing aid going into feedback when there is a loud noise (typically someone shouting) in the vicinity.

Beth works in the B&R cafeteria. She is seen at a number of DIK parties.
* DisproportionateRetribution: If the MC makes fun of the cafeteria food being bad in either Episode 1 or 2, she will pour a drink over him in Episode 2 and continue to hold his joke against him in Episode 3.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:She's the one who posted and vandalized the DIK's Hell Week photos in Episode 10.]]

* AbhorrentAdmirer: To the Main Character. Especially after he started to become popular.
* AlphaBitch: Zigzagged; Becky is in the somewhat unfortunate position of being a ''wannabe'' AlphaBitch, possessing the attitude but nowhere near the clout. This is a girl who brings out the snark in ''Maya'', of all people.
* ButtMonkey: Giving her a drink with absinthe during the [=HOTs=] party can have her vomit in the bathroom. She is also subject to DressesTheSame during the Halloween party when both Kylie and Christine wear the exact same nurse outfit; she also slips in the bathroom during the power outage, causing her to ruin her dress, and she is accosted by Jacob when she tries to take his DIK jacket.
* TheDitz: Doesn't show that often in the story, but she is one, at least according to Derek. Apparently, when she was in high school with Maya and Derek, she had a crush on one of a pair of twins, and was planning to chat him up on their birthday, but didn't because she didn't know which twin's birthday it was.
* GossipyHens: Dialogue in Episode 9 indicates that she is one of these, and several characters reference that they have heard rumours from "one very annoying little bird".
* LousyLoversAreLosers: Rare female example. Becky, for all her pretentions, is nowhere near as popular as she thinks she is, and Jacob in Episode 9 reveals that she's terrible in bed ("she just lies there").
* SocialClimber: Maya, who has known her from high school, implies that she is one of these. Notably, she starts coming on to the MC quite a bit after he has become a BigManOnCampus.
* VaporWear: Her outfit during the [=HOTs=] party, which a DIK MC can point out.

* AnimalLover: She's crazy about her fluffy rabbit, Franz.
* ControlFreak: With her boyfriend Jamie. She's borderline castrating to the point he started hating her.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Hates any kind of discrimination and body shaming but still makes fun of her fat friend Linda.
* PoliticalOvercorrectness: Like most feminists in the game.
* PsmithPsyndrome: Hates being called the homophonous "Daniel". Thankfully, she mostly goes by "Dany".
* SoapboxSadie: She's boycotting deodorant and supermarket.
* StrawFeminist: Embodies the trope.

* AllegoricalCharacter: For radical feminists and socially progressive people.
* CantTakeCriticism: If you criticize her view on sex & genders, she'll at best brush it off by assuming you're sexist or at worst verbally lash you out.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: In Episode 4, she ends up having sex with a drunk Derek. After that she mistakenly believes that Derek wants to start a serious relationship with her, while he's actually terrified by the possibility she could be pregnant.
* DoesNotLikeMen: In typical StrawFeminist fashion. Notably, she does start to believe that all men aren't terrible after [[spoiler:sleeping with Derek]] in Episode 4, but Derek's subsequent behaviour and avoidance of her brings her back to her ways.
* FatBastard: Female version.
* InsaneTrollLogic: Eating animals is vile but eating fishes is fine.
* PoliticalOvercorrectness: Like most feminists in the game.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Is this with Derek during the feminist class.
* StrawFeminist: Embodies the trope.
* YouAreACreditToYourRace: Subverted. After an accidental drunk sex session with Derek, she assumes that all the men aren't that bad after all. She quickly changes her mind after Derek bursts out laughing at her confession.

The MC's single father, who has been raising him since the death of his partner. Neil may not be rich, but he loves his son.

----

* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Likes to tease his son in front of his friends, notably when he and Luis come to measure the windows in the mansion; he tells a story about how, when the MC was a child, he dressed up as a girl ghost for trick-or-treating, and another time when he asked a cashier what "those funny-looking chewing gums" behind the counter were, with the cashier trying to think of a way to explain what condoms are to a child.
-->One of the joys of having kids is returning the favor of embarrassing them when they grow older.
* CoolOldGuy: To the point he could be an honorary [=DIKs=] member. He even helps the rebuilding effort of the DIK house by bringing some old furniture a hotel was throwing away.
* DistractedByTheSexy: In the flashback, when walking into Lynette's kitchen to fix a burst pipe, he sees her in her underwear, and, in her words, his face goes "Auuuuueeeee...".
* HelloInsertNameHere: Not his first name, but his last name can be input by the player in Episode 9; it defaults to "Miller".
* GoodParents: Neil is a single father struggling financially, but he gives his son everything that he can and the two have an extremely close relationship. He had even taught the MC martial arts, even though he was never previously into it, when he was being bullied.
* TheMourningAfter: Even nineteen years after her death, Neil has not yet gotten over Lynette, and Tremolo notes that he gets emotional on his son's birthday, which is why the latter is a BirthdayHater; while Neil obviously never blames him, Tremolo still feels like the reason for his father's sadness.
* RunningGag: Repeatedly reminds his son to wear a condom, advice the MC never follows.
* ShaggyFrogStory: Neil has a tendency to forget large parts of the stories that he tells the MC, particularly about Lynette, as well as to go on continuous tangents.

The MC's mother, who died shortly after he was born.

----

* DeathByChildbirth: It's not clear how she died, but it was either during childbirth or shortly thereafter.
* TheLostLenore: Is this to Neil. Nothing has indicated that he's ever sought another partner after Lynette, and Tremolo notes that Neil is sad during his (the MC's) birthday because it serves as a yearly reminder of her death.
* LovableAlphaBitch: Lynette's diary flashbacks seem to paint her as one of these, with an emphasis on "lovable". While she does have some SpoiledBrat tendencies (unsurprising given that she is implied to be a teenager from a privileged family), she is overall a nice person who is willing to give Neil, at this point a construction worker working on her house, a chance.
* PosthumousCharacter: Died while giving birth to the MC and is sometimes discussed in subsequent episodes, but becomes a somewhat prominent character in flashbacks from Episode 6 onwards, after the MC receives her diary as part of his inheritance.
* UptownGirl: For Neil. As Neil tells it, she left her rich family for Neil shortly after he had to leave town after his construction work was complete. Lynette's version, as told in her diary, is far more intriguing.

The MC's best friend when they were in high school, who moved to San Diego before the story begins.

----

* CharacterizationMarchesOn: When introduced in the flashback in "100%", Zoey comes across as a somewhat streetwise, mildly delinquent ManicPixieDreamGirl: her role in the story is that she was the MC's best-FriendsWithBenefits/maybe-FirstLove to whom he lost his virginity, and they were together till she left for San Diego to pursue her dream to become a surfer, only popping up occasionally on his social media with the occasional naughty picture. "Riding the Waves" establishes her character much more concretely, looking at both her relationship with the MC and her time in San Diego in much greater detail, including many a CerebusRetcon: most notably, the nude photo was released under ''vastly'' different circumstances.
* ChekhovsGunman: The only mention of Zoey throughout Season 1 was in a flashback to the MC's childhood, and he is stated to have not texted her for months and not met her for years. [[spoiler:In the ending of Episode 8, Neil opens his door to find a hoodied, smiling Zoey.]]
* ADayInTheLimelight: She's the playable character in the interlude. This even leads to an ArtShift: while the MC's dialogue choices are in a listed order on the right side of the screen in typical MediaNotes/RenPy fashion, Zoey's are in the form of white bubbles near her head in her curvy handwriting.
* FirstLove: Zigzagged. While she was the MC's first girlfriend, he lost his virginity to her and he does mention a terrible feeling of loss when she left, he actually does not seem to know whether he truly loved her, and whether the sense of loss was because of losing a girlfriend or of losing a close friend. [[spoiler:During the Thanksgiving party in EP 10 the MC finally claims he considers her to be his first love.]]
* FriendsWithBenefits: The nature of her relationship with the MC before she left, for the most part, with the two being essentially best friends for whom sex is just one kind of fun activity. Both Zoey and the MC seemed to realise that they had deeper feelings for each other when she is leaving, with both trying to deal with it in different ways; Zoey, for her part, cut off contact with him for a while because she [[spoiler:took Bret's advice of minimizing contact with him to help him move on to heart; after having advice, though well-intentioned, lead to a lot of conflict when Emma's feelings manifested as misplaced jealousy of Zoey, as well as realising that she missed both home and the MC (along with losing her desire to become a surfer), she decided to return home. Finally turns out to have been subverted in Episode 10: the MC confesses that he had realized that she was his FirstLove when she left for San Diego, while she realizes that she had always loved him at the end of the Halloween party, which causes her to run into the woods to cry]].
* IntimateMarks: Zoey's most prominent tattoo is on her chest, a large picture of a burning heart with wings with the words "Your wings were ready but my heart was not", a tribute to her grandmother Doris.
* LoveEpiphany: During the Thanksgiving party, when Zoey and the MC are sitting together at the fire, he confesses to her that [[spoiler:he didn't want her to go to San Diego because he had realized that she was his FirstLove. Afterwards, when she is chatting with Jacob, he tells her that he has feelings for her (even trying to kiss her if Tremolo told him he was okay with him dating her), and she turns him down, soon leaving to get some air. As she sees Tremolo sitting at the fire (potentially with his partner if he committed to anyone other than Isabella), she reminisces about their time together, and realizes that she had always loved him; this realization causes her to run into the forest to cry by a tree]].
* NonconformistDyedHair: Blue.
* OneOfTheBoys: Zoey instantly hits it off with most of the [=DIKs=] during the Halloween party in "Vixens", with Jacob being especially exhuberant in his praise of her.
* PursueTheDreamJob: Zoey's lifelong dream is to become a surfer, and she takes the opportunity to pursue this dream after receiving her inheritance from her grandmother Doris. [[spoiler:Kinda deconstructed: it turns out that she isn't as good a surfer as she thought she would be, and being average at it makes her disillusioned with it; combined with her recognition of her pining for the MC, this provides her the incentive to return home.]]
* TattooAsCharacterType: Zoey has several tattoos and piercings, visible even in her flashback in Episode 3. The interlude reveals that they are mostly due to her time at Tattoos; during downtime (which was a lot), the staff would often tattoo each other.
* TheirFirstTime: The MC lost his virginity to her.

Maya and Derek's father.

----

* AbusiveParents: His homophobia leads him to lash out when he finds out about Maya's relationship with Josy, exploiting her trust in him to [[spoiler:cosign a loan with her while taking complete control of the money so that he can hold her college admission over her head to make her stop seeing Josy. Episode 10 also reveals that he is physically abusive towards Maya, as shown when he grabs her arm so hard .]]
* AffablyEvil: When he is met in Maya's room at the beginning of Episode 7, Patrick is cordial enough to the MC, if a bit tetchy.
* ControlFreak: He fooled Maya and [[spoiler: make her cosign a load while taking complete control of the money, owns the key to her dorm, holds Derek accountable if Maya does anything 'out of line' and visits her daughter's dorm unannounced whenever he feels like it.]]
* DirtyOldMan: The MC can find pornographic magazines hidden in Patrick's drawer when [[spoiler:searching for the loan contract in his office]].
* EarlyBirdCameo: Patrick is the one exiting Maya's room near the end of Episode 3, much before his introduction in Episode 5's ending.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Episode 10 reveals that he deeply loves his wife Helen, having taken care of her as she struggled with her rheumatoid arthritis and dementia.
* FinancialAbuse: Central to Maya's desperation to have the [=HOTs=] pay for her tuition. [[spoiler:He cosigned a loan with Maya after finding out about her and Josy's relationship, only to take complete control of the money, allowing Maya access to her college tuition only if she stops seeing Josy; Maya cannot get another loan without utterly ruining her credit]].
* TheGhost: Patrick doesn't show up on screen prominently till the end of Episode 6, yet he is the prime motivation for Maya's actions throughout.
* HeteronormativeCrusader: Learning of his daughter's relationship with Josy is the trigger for his abuse towards her, which is aimed at keeping them apart. The game hints that these are tied to his religious beliefs, but it is not currently explicit. Episode 10 reveals his motive to be a twisted, tragic version of IWantGrandkids: he has promised Helen that she will see her grandchildren before she dies, apparently unaware that gay people can have children.
* IWantGrandkids: Episode 10 reveals this to be his motivation, being heavily PlayedForDrama. As Helen's condition worsens, Patrick promises that he will make sure that she sees her grandchildren before she passes on.
* MyGirlIsNotASlut: When Maya meets him in her dorm after the [=HOTs=] evaluation, he cuttingly comments about her dress being too revealing, apparently unaware that Derek is a WalkingShirtlessScene.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Patrick's homophobia is central to Maya's struggles, and is not limited to her; when the MC tries to pass as her roommate, he notes the pink bedsheets (actually Josy's) and asks if they belong to the MC. Any explanation that is not to his liking [[note]]The only explanation he'll accept is that the pink bedsheets were the cheapest[[/note]] will lead to the MC losing his approval.
* TroubledAbuser: Episode 10 puts much greater focus on Patrick, particularly with its prologue focusing entirely on his family troubles since Helen is diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and vascular dementia. Years of taking care of both his worsening wife and his children have taken their toll on him, and he seems to have clearly turned to religion as a coping mechanism. It's a significant reason why both Derek and Maya don't judge him too harshly even though this same episode reveals that [[spoiler:he is also physically abusive towards Maya and has been for some time]].

Patrick's wife and Maya and Derek's mother.

----

* BrokenBird: Once a loving and happy woman, suffering from arthritis even before her children were born left her miserable and completely broken. In the present days, she has became an empty shell of her former self. Incapable of leaving her house, taking care of her children or even eating without medics, she feels trapped in her own body.
-->'''Helen:''' I have no life Patrick ! No life ! My body is my prison.
* DeadManWriting: Snooping around the Bailey house in Episode 10 can lead to Tremolo finding a letter in her journal intended to be read by Patrick after she dies, offering words of solace and indicating her wishes for her funeral.
* DreamCrushingHandicap: Her diseas is this to her. Helen suffers from arthritis and later on-set dementia, and has done since Maya and Derek were babies. Her condition prevented her to proprely take care of her children, exercice a profession or even leaving her house. She also fears to not be able to see Maya and Derek grow up, getting married and having children.
* MoodSwinger: Her dementia makes her subject to brutal mood changes. During her crisis she tends to be very bitter and agressive.
* MoralityPet: Is this to her husband. While Patrick is obviously an AbusiveParents, he's willing to do anything to make his wife happy, or at least make her life less miserable.

----

* DrowningMySorrows: Jill reveals that Geoff is deeply affected and worn down by Lana's death and often consumes alcohol to numb his pain. In consequence, his jovial and friendly persona is more a side effect than his normal behavior. In Episode 10, the MC immediately notices that Geoff is half drunk in the morning to Amelia and Jill's annoyance.
* EarlyBirdCameo: He makes his first appearance in Ep 5 as an exuberant guest during the Preps' party. He's properly introduced in Episode 10 and turns out to be Jill's father.

----
* OlderThanTheyLook: Change her hairstyle and take off her glasses and Amelia looks nearly identical to her 20-year-old (younger!) daughter. Hell, she doesn't look like she has aged much between the flashback in Episode 7 and when you meet her in Episode 10 if you have committed to Jill.
* StrongFamilyResemblance : As seen in the image, her facial features are identical to Jill except for the glasses.

Jill's older sister. She died prior the events of the game.
----
* BlackSheep: Jill says that Lana was one, though the reason for this is unclear. The flashback in Episode 7 shows Lana being kicked out of the house, to the point that she had to scale the pillars of their mansion to meet Jill.
-->'''Jill''': You know how some families have a black sheep?
-->'''MC''': Was she it?
-->'''Jill''': Yes. And it's pretty easy becoming one when your last name is Royce. All you'd have to do is be a little bit different. She didn't live up to the expectations that were forced upon her. Sadly, that only made it worse.
* CoolBigSis: What we see of Lana in the flashback in Episode 7 shows that, despite her BlackSheep status, she and Jill were very close. Jill is inconsolable after Lana has been kicked out, and overjoyed when she visits her by scaling the mansion's pillars. Lana is also shown to care deeply for Jill: she expresses her desire to help her with homework, and advises her to kick a boy who has been bullying her [[GroinAttack in the nads]].

----

* AnimalMotif: Rats.
-->'''Rox:''' No matter how high you climb, you can’t get rid of the rats, they always find their way.
* BerserkButton: Don’t ever disrespect his daughter in his presence.
* DrugsAreBad: While being high, he pulled a knife on his associate after the latter jokingly called Quinn a “rat”, then he let out a sinister giggle.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite his toxic influence, he and his daughter were very close. Quinn actually adopted his facial marks as a way to honor him.
* EvilMentor: By emotionally isolating his daughter from others and teaching her to never trust anyone and to even keep friends at arm's length, he's the one who set Quinn on the path to becoming the ManipulativeBitch we know her as today.
-->'''Rox:''' You can’t trust anyone. Only your daddy. And even if you're forced to trust someone else... Keep them at arm's length without letting them know about it.
* GettingHighOnTheirOwnSupply: He’s a dealer and a drug user. In flashbacks, he’s shown snorting part of the coke that he's supposed to sell, making his already pretty bad temper even worse.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: He has noticeable scar down the right hand side of his face.
* PapaWolf: After Buddy jokingly called Quinn a rat, Rox angrily pulled a knife on him and warned him to never call her bad names again.
* PosthumousCharacter: By the events of the game he’s depicted as TheGhost and only appears in flashbacks. [[spoiler: Quinn reveals that he died under unknown circumstances prior to the events of the game]].
* PsychoticSmirk: He displays a very frightening one after threatening his second in command with a knife while being high.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He only appears in flashbacks of Quinn’s childhood but if it weren't for him raising Quinn in a toxic environment and teaching her to be manipulative, the latter would have never become the pimp and drug dealer she is.
* VillainousFriendship: With his second-in-command Buddy. Quinn mentions they were best friends.

* AffectionateNickname: Quinn refers to him as "Uncle Buddy" in conversation with the MC, but also confirms they are not related by blood.
* DragonAscendant: He was Rox's right hand and [[spoiler: took over his operations after the latter's death.]] By the events of the game, he's the actual employer of Quinn and Vinny.
* VillainousFriendship: Rox was not only his boss but also his best friend. [[spoiler: After the latter died, it's implied he's the one taking care of Quinn's mother. Despite his doubts about Quinn, he allowed her to be part of the drug dealing operation out of respect for Rox.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: To Rox. Even after Rox threatened with a knife while being high, he remained on his side and keeps speaking highly of him years after [[spoiler: his death. He even allows Quinn to be part of his operations despite not trusting her just because he feels he owes it to Rox.]]

Isabella's husband, who is no longer living with her at the start of the story.

----

* AmbiguousSituation: Most of the mystery surrounding Isabella revolves around James. Where is James? Is he dead, or missing, or did he leave her? What does it have to do, if anything, with the locked room in Bella's house? It is clear that Bella wishes for him to come back, to the point that she still wears her wedding ring for a large part of the game, but it is unclear whether this is due to her being in denial about his death or whether there is a possibility of him coming back.
* HappilyMarried: From their flashback at the start of Episode 8, it is clear that James and Isabella were happily married and loved each other.

Vinny is a former DIK who left the house and is now one of the top drug dealers.
----
* AlwaysABiggerFish: He's a better drug seller than Quinn and constantly beats her in volume. [[spoiler:Later subverted after Quinn stole customers from him by making a deal with Lily and the Pink Rose girls.]]
* AxCrazy: According to Nick & Jacob, he used to be nuts. Even for [=DIKs=] standards. [[spoiler:He trashes the MC's room and pulls a gun on him in Episode 9 when they first meet, showing that he hasn't changed one bit ever since he was a member of the [=DIKs=].]] He also has no qualms with [[spoiler:kidnapping Riona at the end of Episode 10.]]
* DisproportionateRetribution: [[spoiler:Even if the MC tries to diffuse the situation, Vinny will pull a gun on him, no matter what.]]
* TheDreaded : He's one of the few people Quinn and Tommy fear.
* EvilVersusEvil: While both him and Quinn are currently working for Buddy, their interactions make clear they're rivals.
* EvilerThanThou: He proved to be this to Tommy. While he and Tommy are both hot-headed, narccisistic and looking to exert their dominance, Tommy, although temperamental is not a bad person, whereas Vinny is psychopathic, morally bankrupt, dangerous, edgy and violent. With all his flaws, Tommy does not stoop to committing felonious crimes- whereas Vinny is shown to regularly stoop to that level with his drug dealing.
** He's also this for Quinn. While Quinn is not beyond using blackmail and emotional manipulation to secure her criminal activities, Vinny proved to be far more violent and ruthless [[spoiler: not only threatning the MC with a handgun ForTheEvulz but also kidnapping Riona.]]
* TheGhost: He's mentioned many times by several characters but he barely appears in flashbacks. [[spoiler:He finally shows up at the end of Episode 8, selling drugs to Tommy.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: [[spoiler:He does ''not'' take it well when he finds out that the MC has taken up residence in the library he used to live in. He proceeds to trash the room and goes as far as threatening the MC with a gun.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: Whenever this guy shows up, things take a dark turn with little to no comedic elements, unlike with other antagonistic characters such as Dawe and Tybalt. His first meeting with the MC in Episode 9 results in [[spoiler:him pulling a gun on the MC,]] and at the end of Episode 10, [[spoiler:he and an accomplice kidnap Riona.]]
* MirrorCharacter: To the MC. Both are charismatic newcomers who took the lead in front of the supposed leaders. Both contested Tommy's position as DIK's Vice-President. They both were the wheel of change in different area. While Vinny was all about fun and crazy stuff, the MC acts more responsibly, encouraging the [=DIKs=] to behave like real adults.
* TheNicknamer : A demeaning example. After Episode 8 he constantly calls the main character a "dog".
* TheRival: To Tommy for the [=DIKs=] leadership.
* SmugSmiler: His default expression. [[spoiler:He calls the MC a dog after pulling a gun on him.]]
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Nick, they were inseparable before he left B&R.

----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: To Josy. He spends most of his introduction shamelessly flirting with her, even going as far as to slap her ass before she slaps him.
* BreakTheHaughty: Starts off as a wealthy {{Jerkass}} who believes he's entitled to become the next manager just by being the son of the current boss. Then in Episode 2, the MC finds him crying by himself after quitting his job due to his dad cheating on his mom.
* BrokenPedestal: He believed that his dad would make him the next boss of the store he worked at. After he finds out that his dad cheated on his mom, he loses all respect for him, quitting his job and planning to move out to live with his mom.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The first words that come out of Steve's mouth are him calling the MC "fuckface". He then proceeds to blatantly hit on Josy despite her obvious disinterest, culminating in him slapping her ass and her slapping him in response.
* {{Jerkass}}: Constantly treats the MC with nothing but disdain and tries to hit on Josy, going so far as to grope her.

* EarlyBirdCameo: Dwyane appeared for the first time in Episode 7 in the gym after seeing the MC having a little exchange of words against Caleb. He advises him on how to hit the punching bag better and recommends that he use protection to avoid hurting his knuckles. He becomes much more prominent in Episode 10 where he serves as Tremolo's martial arts instructor and opponent in the new Brawler minigame.
* {{Expy}}: As a former hot blooded martial artist with a violent past and now a MartialPacifist who took the main character under his wing, he's obviously based on Jean Roqua from "Film/NeverBackDown" .

The staff of "Tattoos", a tattoo parlour in San Diego where Zoey lives and works during her time there.
----

* EasilyForgiven: Downplayed, but if [[spoiler:Zoey talks things out with Emma, not only will Zoey forgive Emma for posting a nude photo of her on social media, but she will also confess her feelings for and sleep with Bret]]. Downplayed if Zoey says that [[spoiler:apologizing cannot undo the past]].
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: "Tattoos", though it's not the only service they provide (they also do piercings). Zoey provides the alternate name "Bret's Metal and Ink", along with a new logo, [[spoiler:before she leaves.]]
* PoorCommunicationKills:
** Bret and Emma's relationship is a classic example, revolving around their lack of contact when she went to Vegas. ''His'' understanding of this was that she had cut him off to make it easier for him to get over her; ''her'' understanding of this was that he had simply not cared to contact her; this led to...
** Emma realises that she has feelings for Bret when [[spoiler:she sees him acting awkwardly around a topless Zoey (she was being tattooed) and jumps to the conclusion that Zoey and Bret are sleeping together]]. This sends her into a jealous rage so potent that, instead of merely talking with all parties involved, she [[spoiler:angrily [[GreenEyedMonster posts a nude photo of Zoey onto Rooster and calls her a whore]]]]. This even applies to the resolution of this plotline: if Zoey talks things out with Emma, [[spoiler:she will recognize her mistake, profusely apologize and delete the photo]], while [[spoiler:snatching her phone, deleting the picture and (possibly) posting Emma's own nudes onto Rooster]] will burn that bridge completely.
* SexyDiscretionShot: Subverted; the second Emma talks about what she wants to do to Bret in the bedroom, Zoey and Jonah peace out from his place. Zoey even states that what happened after she left is their business...at least, she wishes it was – apparently Emma called her an hour later and told her about what they did [[TooMuchInformation in excruciating detail]].
* ShipperOnDeck: Jenna for Bret and Emma, even cheering them on as [[spoiler:they are having sex in the bunk bed above hers.]]
* SmarterThanTheyLook: Jonah seems like a bit of a meathead, but Bret reveals that he plans to quit "Tattoos" to go to college, and he does indeed leave soon after Zoey joins up. He later is shown advising Zoey about potential career options after she graduates high school online.
* StraightGay: Jonah, whose homosexuality is only revealed when he says he tattooed his penis because guys are into that. In his own words, he tends to "fly under people's gaydars".
