This covers Harvin characters who are recruitable through the gacha or special events.

[[folder: Shared Tropes]]
* AlphabeticalThemeNaming: In Japanese, all Harvin names draw from "ra," "ri"," "ru," and/or "ro" to use in the name. Rei is the notable sole exception to this scheme as of this writing.
* FantasticRacism: Generally, antagonistic [=NPCs=] of other races discriminate against Harvins simply because they are a race of LittlePeople, whom they consider as physically inferior, as evidenced in Milleore's episode where thugs mocked her appearance. This racism motivates Al-Khalid to work hard, so that he could change this racial perception and prove that Harvins may be physically small and weak, but at least they can be WeakButSkilled. On the lighter and unintentional side of this racism, young children of other races easily mistake Harvin adults (like Charlotta) [[MistakenAge as fellow children]].
* LittlePeople: Their defining traits. Fully grown Harvin are only half as tall as fully grown humans. However, rather than comic relief they are established as TheSmartGuy of the races, having a natural affinity for cleverness and smooth talking.
* PintsizedPowerhouse: Despite their small stature, there's nothing from stopping Harvins in learning melee and weaponry combat. Some of them can even become knights who wield weapons bigger than they are, such as Charlotta and Sevilbarra. Even older Harvins like Yodarha and Al-Khalid know swordsmanship and martial arts respectively.
* PointyEars: Like all non-human races, they have these.
* SituationalSword: The stats of Harvin characters can be significantly boosted by the Gun, Harp, and Staff variants of the Bahamut weapons.
* VagueAge: Ages of most Harvins are hard to tell at first glance. Lunalu and Charlotta are [[OlderThanTheyLook in their early 20s]], yet look like kids with personalities to match. Arulumaya has a much more adult personality and is pushing ''thirty'' but looks barely any older than the two previous examples (and most of it is courtesy of her hairstyle). Males like Yodarha (66) and Anre (???) clearly have some years on them, but it's still difficult to put a number on it. (There is one tell for older male Harvins, though - it seems they tend to grow out facial hair, probably on purpose so that other races can tell at a glance they're "older".) Anre implies that one of the reasons why male Harvins tend to grow out facial hair as they get older is to avoid being mistaken as children.
* WeakButSkilled: On average, Harvins are physically weaker than members of other races because of their short stature. However, a lot of them more than make up for it by being extremely skilled with magic and/or weaponry. [[spoiler:This is the mentality that Al-Khalid wants to push and prove in the "A Thousand Reasons" event. He feels that Harvins are [[FantasticRacism being looked down]] on (''no pun intended'') because of their physical limitations, yet he wants to show that there are Harvins out there who can make a fame for themselves as martial artists.]]

* AlliterativeName: '''Al'''istair '''Al'''ethea.
* BadassBookworm: He comes from a family of scholars, but he can still fight, and he even uses oversized mathematical tools as weapons.
* DisappearedDad: His father had left to find Estalucia, as part of proving his thesis. Alistair plans to follow in those footsteps.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: This is his hypothesis on why only guys keep approaching him during Halloween, because they think he's a girl.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: He uses mathematical tools (which are bigger than him) to fight the enemy.

A prolific seer, Arulumaya has the gift of foresight, allowing her to see the future. She uses her gift to warn people of impending misfortune, and offer advice during times of strife. She joins the crew after seeing something surprising in the captain's and Lyria's futures, but won't tell them what it is, stating she wishes to see it in person.
----
* ComesGreatResponsibility: Feels that it is her duty to use her powers for the greater good, and as such only shares her prophecies when it would benefit the largest number of people.
* CrystalBall: It also has bronze engravings and Arulumaya can even make it float.
* DreamingOfThingsToCome: Her 5★ uncap reveals that her dreams allow her to see her future visions more coherently, at the expense of draining her consciousness the longer she lingers in them. Of the two times we see of them, [[spoiler:once when she was little and her dream vision allowed her to avoid a DoomedHometown scenario and her most recent one which foretold what would be happening in the "What Makes The Sky Blue" event.]]
* DubNameChange: Arurumeiya to Arulumaya.
* HoneyTrap: This trope is [[InvokedTrope invoked]] and even [[LampshadeHanging name-dropped]] in ''Grand Blues!'' Comic #1108 when Arulumaya exposes her "sensual nape" in an attempt to distract Capo Tony.
* {{Meido}}: Wears one during the "Handsome Gorilla" event.
* RandomEffectSpell: Her fourth skill gives a random buff effect depending on the color of her crystal ball. That is to say, when the skill is first activated, a random color is determined, and re-casting the skill will grant the buffs for the next 3 turns. Her Light SSR's third skill does something similar, giving the party [[AntiDebuff Veil]] and one random buff out of a list on first cast, then [[GatheringSteam every subsequent cast gains one additional buff]] (so second cast gives Veil and two buffs, and so on) until she applies every buff on the list with every cast.
* {{Seers}}: She is an Oracle Prodigy and can also see visions using her crystal ball.
* StepfordSmiler: Depressed type. She has a somewhat flirty personality and always puts on a confident face when fortunetelling, but is often regretful or despondent when alone, doubting her own decisions regarding her powers.
* ThinkNothingOfIt: Her Light SSR Fate Episode takes place soon after "What Makes The Sky Blue" and starts with the crew conspiring with a village to throw a celebration for her in light of her actions in saving them. While she's quite flattered, she insists on downplaying her own part in it all, saying she's just one woman of the Grandcypher crew which deserves more credit.
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: Her Fate episode revolves around this, as she questions whether it's right for her to give prophecies that would ultimately benefit a group at the expense of an individual, or to lie about the future knowing people will believe her.
* TookALevelInCheerfulness: Mild, but it's there in her Christmas SSR. She has considerably lightened up since joining the protagonist.

[[folder: Balurga]]
%% As per discussions in the character pronoun and identity thread (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16601125100A14169400&page=55), the current assumption for Balurga is a male identity with he/him pronouns. If you believe edits should be made to the contrary, please post there and seek consensus beforehand.

A former member of the Odajumoki gang and ex-right hand man to the Allfather, Guzaletha. The Odajumoki gang is an ultra-masculine Harvin organization in North Vast and Balurga only got in despite being born female through sheer bravery. He was later crossed by Guzaletha who revealed his physical sex and was hunted down by what was left of the gang until he came across the protagonist and their crew, saving him. He joins in gratitude to them.
----
* AnimeHair: His brown hair is very spiky.
* ArtificialLimbs: One of his hands got bitten off by one of the gang's war beasts, Ultra Dog-Sled Jenkins, when he was proving himself worthy of joining them. They replaced it with a clawed ArmCannon, the Vulcan Claw. After it was destroyed in ''Freedom’s Dirge'', it was melted down and replaced by Galadar with the Atar Claw.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Gets a lot of focus in ''Freedom's Dirge'', alongside Skull.
* EdibleAmmunition: In one of his Trick or Treat events, Balurga swaps out the conventional munitions of the Vulcan Claw for candy. Apparently, it's a big hit with the kiddos.
* FakeArmDisarm: The Vulcan Claw gets violently amputated by Rhiogur when Balurga is captured in Chapter 5 of ''Freedom’s Dirge''.
* FamilyOfChoice: Discussed with Skull in ''Freedom's Dirge'' to [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan break him out of the stupor he's in]] when he hears about the possibility that Rhiogur can channel the Allfather. Initially they found companions in the Odajumuki gang, but after everything that has happened he acknowledges that relationship is gone, and they instead have to treasure the family they have now in the crew of the Grandcypher.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Though Balurga’s in-game ‘mechanical’ sex is listed as female, he’s treated as male in both Valentine's Day and White Day events. That is, you give chocolates during Valentine's Day and receive chocolates during White Day, similar to all the other male characters.
* OutOfTheClosetIntoTheFire: Getting your sex revealed by your murdered gang boss’s journal, which also specifies that the first person who kills you becomes the new leader is not the most pleasant way to come out.
* IOweYouMyLife: The reason he joined the crew of the Grandcypher. They saved his life, and he wants to pay them back as a favor.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: A subversion. He wasn't really acknowledged as a woman during his time with the Odajumoki and was regarded as a man until the death of Guzaletha in the aftermath of the "Gripping Freedom" event.
* StraightManAndWiseGuy: Plays straight man to Skull’s empty headedness, though with how rowdy they both are, [[OnlySaneByComparison that's not saying much]]. They even have a duo unit riding Skull Jr.
* TransTribulations: Though Balurga is very comfortable and confident in asserting themselves as one of the ‘manliest of men’, being born female means the Odajmuki treated him differently, needing an extra test of bravery to join and serving as an additional excuse to justify attempting to kill him after the death of Guzaletha. He also has trouble getting chocolate on Valentine’s Day from anyone but the captain.
* UsurpingSanta: In his second Happy Holidays event, Balurga suggests hunting down the 'legendary beast' Santa, stealing his presents and selling them for a profit. Fortunately for the jolly man, the Captain clarifies things.

'''Charge Attack''': Bold Slash, Fendez-Vous a Deux (Bridgette and Cordelia version)

A novice of the Holy Knights of Lumiel, Bridgette yearns to surpass her race's limitations and become a great hero. As a result, she practically idolizes Charlotta Fenia, the current captain of the Holy Knights, who Bridgette in particular sees as one of the most heroic Harvins in history and the role model for everything she wants to be.

Added to the game in December 2015, Bridgette tends to pop up alongside her idol, and in particular had a major role in the "Little Skyfarer" event.
----
* ActionGirl: ZigZagged. She jumps into action whenever she can, but also gets tired very easily.
* BattleBallgown: Her dress is mixed with armor.
* NiceGirl: Impeccably polite and tries to assist everyone however she can, even if it's a minor issue that needs fixing, she'll put all her effort into it. It's even reflected in her kit, as it consists purely of buffs.
* SimpleYetAwesome: Her kit is absurdly simple -- she has two attack buffs that she can apply to a teammate. However, the buffs stack with each other and with general attack buffs, meaning she can help buff an ally to absolutely absurd heights. Sadly, she's still held back overall by being an R character, but having her boost Charlotta to nearly the damage cap with an otherwise average grid is good fun and very in-character.
* SupremeChef: Assisted by Cordelia during the event, Little Skyfarer a la Sacre Blumiel, she shows that she can actually compete with Baotorda who is another supreme chef by his own right.

The captain of the Holy Knights of Lumiel with an oversized sword and a pure heart, her desire to become taller leads to her joining the crew of the Grancypher to see if the Astrals can grant her wish. However, while many of her knights look up to her (with one example in particular), her extended absence from the Holy Knights is making some others in the order question whether she's derelict in her duty...

An early SSR who debuted alongside the Ifrit Showdown, Charlotta proved fairly popular and got a Halloween version a few months after her release in 2014, and has a tendency to crop up in events and ''Grand Blues!'' sidequests with some regularity. In June 2017, she finally got her own dedicated event, "Little Skyfarer a la Sacre Blumiel", which gave her a freely-available SR version, and also was a major character in the Summer 2017 event "Poacher's Day" a few months later. In November 2018, she got ''another'' SSR variant, this time as a pure Light Attacker, to go along with the "Reflections on a White Clover" event.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight: "Little Skyfarer a la Sacre Blumiel" is about Charlotta, her food-related adventures, and also her insecurities about her position.
* ActionGirl: Is the leader of a widely renowned order and has the power to back it up.
* AscendedMeme: Either due to a BlindIdiotTranslation, or more likely ''intentional''. A [[https://i.redd.it/p9n16jlt6ufz.png dialog]] during her Summer Version's second fate episode calls tanned Charlotta a "baked potato"[[note]]Harvins are referred to as potatoes by the fans[[/note]] in the English version, despite the fact that the said line in Japanese calls her simply by her name.
* BadassAdorable: She definitely earned her title of Captain of the Holy Knights of Lumiel, but being short (even for a Harvin) and rather childish make her think she's not fit to lead. Her knights, on the other hand, actually really enjoy how cute their boss is, and not a soul among them can question her competency in battle. Her Halloween costume was made by them with the sole goal of making her even cuter.
* {{BFS}}: Her CoolSword, Claíomh Solais. It becomes ''thicker than her torso'' in her 5★ ascension version. Her profiles in places like ''GBF Versus'' note that it's as big as she is, and she can slay monsters ''ten times her size'' with it.
* BreakoutCharacter: She is pretty much unquestionably the single most popular Harvin in the entire game, and one of the game's most recognizable characters. As of November 2018, she has ''five'' versions, a New Year's skin, one whole dedicated event, and she was chosen to be one of the five initial headliners for ''VideoGame/GranblueFantasyVersus'', representing the game to the entire world. This is pretty much all in response to her popularity since her release. Not too bad for someone whose meta-career began as a simple, comparatively unremarkable Water hybrid attacker/tank in the game's early days.
* ContinuityNod: While she is not present in "A Thousand Reasons", Al-Khalid makes an indirect nod to Charlotta by mentioning the "captain of the Lumiel Knights" whom he respects for bringing glory to the Harvin race... or more specifically, for being a Harvin who holds a high position in society.
* CoolCrown: Charlotta wears a thin crown that is even taller than her head. She wears it to [[MundaneUtility boost her height]], that's all... she doesn't have a royal blood.
* EdibleThemeNaming: Her event version's skill names have food names in them and the image used also has the image of the food related to the skill's name.
* {{Expy}}: She's basically [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Saber]], if Saber was three feet tall and had a complex about her height on top of her concerns about being qualified for the position she found herself in. Charlotta's Charge Attack is what makes it ''really'' [[ShoutOut obvious]], as it's Excalibur in all but name - even the particle effects are similar to Excalibur's depictions in later ''Fate'' works. She has undergone some DivergentCharacterEvolution as time has gone on, with her plot more focusing on her childish habits and her attempts to break away from them (possibly as a result of Saber herself being, well, a major character in ''Granblue'''s [[VideoGame/FateGrandOrder greatest competitor]]).
* {{Flanderization}}:
** Of a physical aspect -- she has an obsessive [[HeightAngst desire to become taller]] despite her nature as a Harvin. At one point it gets bad enough that she wanted to believe a local superstition about a well that grants wishes in her Fate Episode. Her 5★ artwork also depicts her standing on a box (which was never featured in her actual sprites until her Light Attacker version).
** As time has gone on, especially in her 2017 event appearances, her obsession with being "grown up" has somewhat overtaken the rest of her character, making her a bit of a comedy character more than anything. This has become a bit of a sore spot for some fans, who enjoyed that her earlier portrayals were unambiguous in displaying her competency. Her Attacker version and her appearance in ''Versus'' walk this back a bit, though.
** Also, her VerbalTic has gotten a ''lot'' more prominent as time has gone on. In her original Fate Episode, it was obviously there but didn't dominate her speech; in "Little Skyfarer" and "Poacher's Day", she ''literally ends every complete sentence'' with "-arimasu".
** Her Light version which was released on November 30, 2018 exaggerates her Height angst where she stands on a pedestal in her uncap art, while her [[https://i.redd.it/25u0trks4l121.jpg Victory Poses]] have her standing on ''stacks'' of boxes.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: The Fate Episode of Charlotta's Light version has Lancelot standing straight even though you (as Charlotta) drop his health to 0. Then the narration tells they're actually staging the fight so that both are at equal strength and one side won't have the advantage of sending the other to their knees.
* GlacierWaif: One of her common skills in multiple versions is a 40-50% damage cut for the whole party. Her passive skill is also a cut to damage from enemies in Overdrive for herself. Her level 100 skill upgrade in her original version also allows her to become ''outright invincible'' for the turn her third skill is used, and her Attacker version has a similar effect on her second skill.
* HeightAngst: Believes it's unbecoming of her to be so short and "childish", especially since she's the Captain of the Holy Knights.
* HumanHummingbird: She ends up doing this pose in her Summer version's uncap art.
* ImagineSpot: She has one in her summer version's artwork, standing tall at a sailboat's bow as it travels across Auguste's oceans. In reality, she tripped and is about to fall off the boat.
* ImpossiblyCoolClothes: Many fans have wondered how that crown stays on her head.
* KnightlySwordAndShield: Just like fellow Lumiel Knight Baotorda, she wields a sword and a shield on both hands.
* MeaningfulRename: Her original first skill's name is Blue Moon. This is renamed into Tempura Moon and Dolphin Moon for her event and summer versions respectively, though is still basically the same skill.
* MistakenAge: In her 5★ Uncap, there are some Human children who naturally mistook her as a fellow child. The scene may also double as a RuleOfFunny moment due to the casual, yet playful manner of the children while talking to her. Perhaps they are not aware that they are talking to a Harvin.
-->'''Charlotta''': Wha?! I-I may look this way, but I assure you I'm an adult!\
'''Child ''': C'mon, lady! You ain't bigger than my little sis! And she just started talking last week!\
'''Charlotta''': Grrr!
* NeverBareheaded: She always wears a crown no matter the season and place. Yes, even in the beach!
* OrWasItADream: Charlotta has a NightmareSequence in the ''[[GagSeries Grand Blues!]]'' comics where she became so small that Vyrn is literally holding her with one hand. She then wakes up in her room, while a "giant" Vyrn peeks in the window asking "Was it... Just a dream?" Cue this trope!
* RollingAttack: Her Light version's Brilliant Moon has Charlotta roll forward while spinning her blade.
* SickeningCrunch: ''Grand Blues!'' Comic #1059 parodies this trope with a WrittenSoundEffect where the short Charlotta is implied to be in pain while looking at the [[StatuesqueStunner tall]] Leona.
* StarterMon: Her original version can be the first SSR (from the pool of 6 SSR characters of their respective elements) that you can receive on the rigged ten-draw after completing the tutorial. Due to her usefulness and the power of her 5* upgrade, she's generally considered one of the better draws from that.
* SwordBeam: Her charge attack is a large beam of yellow light from her sword.
* SwordPlant: Her Summer version's artwork and victory sprite has her plant her sword at the ground... ''or any form of "ground" the stage has''. Taken into the RuleOfFunny territory if the stage is set high up in the clouds. This also applies to her Light version, although she's holding the sword this time.
* SymbolicWings: The SwordLines and arcs surrounding Charlotta in her Light version's initial art form small golden wings.
* TechnicolorBlade: Claíomh Solais has a light blue blade.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: She loves kid's meals... but she doesn't ''like'' that she likes them, as she thinks it's another childish trait unbecoming of a Captain of the Holy Knights. Her 2017 event is pretty much focused on addressing this, with multiple groups of people coming together to make an "adult" version of those meals.
* VerbalTic: She tends to end as many sentences as possible with "-arimasu", which is generally seen as a polite-yet-childish thing to do (as it can be dropped in a number of cases, even in more formal, adult speech, but a lot of kids won't pick up on this and will use it to sound polite when they need to). It wasn't quite as common in her original appearance & Fate Episode, but later events have made it far more prominent. The newer/better parts of the English localization handle this by having her sound generally formal, but having her diction occasionally slip into surprising childishness. (Her original Fate Episode attempts to replicate the tic by having all her -arimasu sentences end in some variant of "hmm!", which is generally agreed to not read nearly as well.)
* YouAreACreditToYourRace: After Al-Khalid is defeated in "A Thousand Reasons", he explains that all he wanted was to bring glory to the Harvin race by making a fame of himself, and that he admires Harvins who hold high rankings in society. He then mentions "Captain of the Lumiel Knights" as an example, indirectly referring to Charlotta.

* ADayInTheLimelight: The focal character of the "Only You in All the World" event.
* FailedASpotCheck: Her "missing" bird is sitting on her hat. The rest of the crew points this out to her, which she eventually realizes in the "Only You in All the World" event.
* FatalFlaw: Her {{pride}} prevents her from expressing her true feelings, which is a major factor to her loneliness and her character as a MilesGloriosus.
* FriendlessBackground: Much of her time at home is spent on studies, preventing her from making friends around her age out of concern that they would interrupt her.
* GratuitousFrench: Mentions "je ne sais quoi" when touring Vyrn and the Captain at an art museum in the quest "The Art of Refinement".
* IJustWantToBeSpecial: It's less want and more of ''needs'' to be special, as it's the only way she knows that can get her family's praises. Being in a BadassCrew damages her pride as it attacks her previous notion that she ''was'' special.
* MechanicallyUnusualClass: In her R version, she can't attack at all, and instead relies on charging her LimitBreak, which then [[CastFromMoney uses your rupies]] to summon random buffs.
* MilesGloriosus: Regularly claims to be way more skilled in the ways of the world than she really is. Though in a bit of a subversion, she generally tries to follow up on her boasts as earnestly as possible, even if she's not that successful.
* MistakenAge: Played with. The crew do notice she's a child, but after she claims to be a grown-up... they believe her and apologize, because it's hard for non-Harvins to figure the age of Harvins at first glance.
* TheRunaway: She left her home out of fear that her grandmother would be angry that her pet bird, Homlet, flew to another island. Luckily for her, her family is [[OpenMindedParent open-minded]] and takes said action as a sign of maturity.
* VerbalTic: Desu no, to round up the overall TheOjou characterization.
* VocalEvolution: As Rina Endo matures overtime, Drusilla's voice naturally stopped showing signs that it's done by a child. This is noticeable when comparing her R version's Fate Episodes to the subsequent events she appears in.
* WellDoneSonGuy: Much of her motivation stems from wanting her family's praise and approval.
* WhenYouComingHomeDad: She lives with her grandmother since her parents' jobs as merchants make it too busy for them to come home.

However, her truest desire is to become known for beautiful romantic paintings, so she decides to travel the world with the main character to see and study the art they might come across.

Despite being an R character for her first two versions, Lunalu is one of the most sought-after R characters in the game (even staying in the [[PopularityPower Fan Popularity Polls]] for ''years''). This is due to her Facsimile skill, capable of copying some of the most powerful abilities of other characters.

A comedy-filled event in 2018, titled "Handsome Gorilla" puts her in the spotlight.
----
* ADayInTheLimeLight: She is the main character in the "Handsome Gorilla" and "Imagination Overdrive" events.
* ArtAttacker: Her power, she can draw monsters and they'll attack for her.
* CharacterNarrator: She narrates the Prologue chapter of the "Handsome Gorilla" event, and is labeled in-game as "Lunarrator".
* ElegantGothicLolita: Her usual outfits are frilly, especially her SSR version.
* EyepatchOfPower: She wears eyepatches that cover her right eye.
* GenreSavvy: In ''Grand Blues!'' Comic #595, Lunalu remains calm just as Zeta is afraid of a shark's presence near them. She later explains the SlashersPreferBlondes trope to Zeta.
-->'''Lunalu''': It's an ironclad rule in B-Horror films! The blondes are always the first to go!
* InnerMonologue: While she acts and speaks in a normal manner in front of the others, her monologue still has strong shades of her YaoiFangirl side when speaking to anyone from the four Dragon Knights.
* MagicalEye: Her R version’s Skybound art and SSR 5★ art reveals that underneath her eyepatch is a glowing eye.
* MagikarpPower: Some of the skills that she ''can'' copy are otherwise game-breakers, such as Threo's Ground Zero.
* PowerCopying: Her gimmick comes from her first skill which lets her copy ally skills.
* ReactionShot: In the prologue of ''Handsome Gorilla'', she narrates the details of [[YaoiGenre a certain book]] that she read at young age. The camera then zooms in closer to her face, while the player gets treated to a slew of Lunalu's facial reactions as she flips through the pages.
* SignatureMove: All of her versions comes with the Facsimile skill. What's more, for every chronologically new version of her, the success rate of this ability gets improved.
* YaoiFangirl:
** It's revealed in one of her Fate Episodes that one of the romance novels she's so fond of centers around a male couple.
** It's also revealed in a Fate Episode that she draws pictures of naked men, which scares Lyria as she assumes they're fighting.

A strange girl who lives secluded far in the forest, farming corn. Or rather, a runaway princess born with magical hair said to have the power to cure all diseases. Hiding from society after said hair and the greed people have for it brought sadness to her and the people she loves, she joins the crew to find out the mysteries behind it, and enact some revenge on the ones who hurt her.

She later receives a Valentine's Day version on February 2019.
----
* CastFromCalories: Using her powers is really taxing on her stomach. Luckily, she's a competent farmer so food is usually not much of an issue, but she first meets the crew after getting careless and ending up lost in the forest with not even the energy to move.
* CastFromHitPoints: Her first skill fills up her Charge Bar at the cost of 20% of her maximum HP.
* CooldownManipulation: Her Charge Attack Capillus Ataxia reduces the cooldown of used skills by 2. Her first skill Continuum, fills up her Charge Bar so that she can instantly cast her Charge Attack. Her Golden Luster passive has a 5% chance of reducing all cooldowns by 1 whenever she is attacked, while her EMP passive also works similarly to Golden Luster, but reduces cooldown when she attacks instead. In simple terms, her kit is focused on [[SpamAttack spamming her skills as much as possible]].
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Her second and third skills can hit enemies randomly up to 10-times each, but each hit can only deal damage up to 82,000. At max stacks, and if both skills are off-cooldown, Melissabelle alone can hit a maximum of 20 times, with a total damage of 1,640,000 in a ''single'' turn.
* {{Expy}}: Of Literature/{{Rapunzel}}... or rather, [[WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}} the Disney version]].
* FailureToSaveMurder: One of her Fate Episodes involves the crew getting attacked by a woman whose daughter fell sick and died after Melissabelle ran away. It leaves her angsting for quite some time, and it takes a good deal of heart-to-heart talk with the crew to get better.
* FallenPrincess: Left her kingdom after the lust for her hair brought discord to the peaceful land. She does take her farming life pretty well aside from loneliness, and her royal parents still love her, but she can't really go back home lest it starts all over again.
* GatheringSteam: Her Left and Right Hairsabers deal more hits and damage with each succeeding use, up to a {{Cap}} of 10 hits per ability.
* MundaneUtility: In the ''[[GagSeries Grand Blues!]]'' comic strips, Melissabelle uses her hair powers in a variety of non-combat situations, such as holding a spinning spin blade, or shaping it like a slingshot in order to catapult herself.
* PimpedOutDress: She wears a frilly gown, as expected of a Rapunzel {{expy}}.
* PowersDoTheFighting: She's not much of a physical fighter, and mostly does damage by forming blades with her hair and flinging them all around her. By the time of her Valentines version, she's honed her skill enough to have a full-blown InstantDeathRadius, freaking out Alec and Syr as she casually takes a stroll through the battlefield while monsters around her get torn to pieces faster than they can react.
* PowerGlows: Her hair will occasionally glow a golden shade during battles and in her victory pose.
* PrehensileHair: Healing powers is not quite the only thing her hair can do.
* {{Revenge}}: She plans to cut the hair of those who tried to steal her hair.
* ShoutOut: Melissabelle's Light version has a skill named "Get Over Hair", a {{pun}} on Scorpion's memetic CatchPhrase from ''Franchise/MortalKombat''.
* SinisterScythe: Her hair takes the shape of intertwined sickles when she's in combat.
* StatuesqueStunner: Zigzagged. She's noted to be an unusually tall beauty... by Harvin standards. Single tallest Harvin introduced so far, which still puts her slightly under 1m and way below any other race. Charlotta idolizes her and even tried to copy her lifestyle for a while, only to realize that emulating her appetite without having magic hair to balance it out is just a quick way to get fat.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: She loves eating corn.

----
* AmbiguouslyGay: She's very close with her fellow soldier, Sahli Lao, but she denies that their relationship is anything besides friendship and comradery. It's unclear whether she's just pretending to be unemotional, or if she really means it.

* BrutalHonesty: When she actually talks, she's often extremely blunt.
* HeroicBSOD: Easily becomes depressed and silent if she loses her flute Hornby, even if she just dropped it from a very short distance.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Her flute is huge, and she fights by clubbing people with it. At least, it does have a spiky implement attached to it.
* JerkAss: She's selfish, rude, lazy, and just all around not pleasant to be around.
* MyNameIsQuestionMarks: The Charge Attack name of her "Stumpeye", Halloween and Summer versions are simply "????".
* MysteriousPast: Absolutely nothing is known about her past. All we know is that she is definitely ''not'' normal.
* NecessaryDrawback: As explained in PurposelyOverpowered and AlphaStrike, her unit specializes in helping herself and her team do as much damage as possible in a short amount of time, making her ideal for shorter fights. That said, her skills can only be cast once, which hurts her usefulness if she’s being used in fights that require more than a few turns. Considering how broken her unit is otherwise, it makes sense that her usage would be conditional.
* PurposelyOverpowered: Her summer unit joins the long line of seasonal units that [[PowerCreep absolutely overshadows]] most other gacha units including some Grand limiteds by being an absolute beast in short fights due to her skills and the buffs she applies to both herself and her allies. The only drawback her unit has is that her skills can only be cast once, making her a poor supportive unit in longer fights. Not that that matters, as with her unit and the right set up, most fights can be done fairly quickly.
* TheSilentBob: Mostly just expresses herself by tooting with her flute. She does talk every once in a while, but rarely more than a sentence at once.
* TreeVessel: Goes around on a tree stump on wheels. [[spoiler:Said stump is fiercely protective of her, and can kick some major ass if it's to help her.]]

During the in-game sequence, clicking the attack button does nothing for the first few turns, until Rei's hand reaches out to the Attack Button itself, forcing Feower to unleash his Charge Attack against his sister]].
* CooldownManipulation: Her "Ama no Sakate" skill advances the battle by five turns.
* DifficultButAwesome: Her skills are not exactly direct, but when properly utilized has some very unique and potentially devastating effects.
* DreamWalker: While not on the same semantics as Phoebe's or Baal's powers, Rei has the ability to allow people to enter others' minds, demonstrated when she helped [[spoiler:some of the Eternals to "tread through" Mugen's soul]].
* DeusExMachina: Only Rei was able to [[spoiler:calm down an enraged Mugen to submission using her powers, when all of the Eternals failed to do so from fighting him]].
** Her entire role in Seeds of Redemption more or less has her function as this: she exists purely to solve whatever the current problem is without any issue or (known) consequence.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: Her eyes do not have the typical white sclera. Instead, it appears as if her dark-blue pupils are very large, and they have a glitter effect on them as well. All of these symbolize her [[PeoplePuppets strange powers]].
* EyesAlwaysShut: Her eyes are always closed unless she's using her powers.
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: Her first skill "Alaya-Vijnana" allows her to take control of an ally, making them double-attack every turn until it's cast again to remove the buff. This mirrors her ability to control [[spoiler: Feower]] as demonstrated in the event. "Cold Stare" also lets her control the enemy, reducing their elemental damage to zero.
* ImpossiblyCoolClothes: Rei's dress is ''very'' huge, larger than her body, but large enough to match the length of her long hair.
* TheMentor: She took in Anre after he was orphaned and helped shape his current worldview that led to him founding the Eternals.
* NecessaryDrawback: Her main three skills all have a drawback to them.
** "Alaya-Vijnana" allows an ally she takes control of to attack twice per turn. However, she herself cannot attack while it is activated.
** "Moksha" allows her to swap places and gain control of an ally, sharply boosting their stats. However, the ally she takes control of has their defense lowered by 50%. As well, the player loses access to her other skills when she's moved to the backline.
** "Cold Stare" is extremely useful for avoiding deadly triggers, however, it has a long cooldown of 12 turns.
** Her charge attack "Clairvoyant Bliss" does not damage in exchange for powerful debuffs to the enemy.
* NeighbourhoodFriendlyGangsters: Despite the fact that the Suo Family identify as mafia, they claim to be of the "protect the people" variety rather than the criminal variation.
* NumericalThemeNaming: Rei, when written as 零 in Japanese, can be interpreted for "zero". There's also a circle on her forehead, which represents the "0" digit. Because she taught Anre and becomes a sponsor for the Eternals, she can be considered the character who represents "Zero" as their predecessor.
* NumerologicalMotif: Her HP and ATK end with the exact values of 0 (1000 and 10000 respectively) when unmodified by external sources.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: She considers all those she's raised in the Suo Family as her children, and her lifespan means that she's had to see them all die.
* PeoplePuppets: She can use her powers to forcefully control others. Aside from forming the basis of two of her skills, she uses this power to [[spoiler:force Feower to attack Tien as a way of testing them]].
* PowerFloats: She floats above the ground during all of her interactions and in battle. While it doesn't seem notable, as there are plenty of characters [[GodInHumanForm (mostly primals)]] we've been introduced to that demonstrate the ability to float, Rei having this ability serves as a testament to just how powerful she is, as the games lore states that the ability to float is achieved through a certain level of magic.
* PromotedToPlayable: Zig-zagged. She was made playable a few days after "Seeds of Redemption", her debut event, went live.
* PurposefullyOverpowered: As one of the top dark support units in the game, [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration her being broken in that regard justifies this as she’s described as being wellspring of pure magical energy.]]
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She's been around since the time of the War, making her several centuries old and one of the few non-Primal or Astral characters to achieve such longevity.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When the Eternals seek her aid to protect the Stardust Town, Rei simply suggests an easy-but reliable solution - that Tien and Quatre should just take the children somewhere else, instead of continuing to defend the Stardust Town which is in conflict with the Magasin mafia. With some convincing from the twins' end, Rei then agrees to help rebuild the town during the later chapters of the event.
* ReluctantWarrior: According to her lore, she doesn’t like to use her overwhelming power but understands that she must do so in order to maintain peace in the Sky Realm.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Downplayed, but she does overshadow quite a few Eternals in their Anniversary event such as Nio, Esser and Quatre because of her various DeusExMachina’s.
* SupportPartyMember: As broken as she is, her main role in a team is to act as support and debuffer and this is reflected in all of her skills.
** "Alaya-Vijnana" allows her to take control of an ally, making them double-attack every turn until it's cast again to remove the buff. Once removed, it can be applied to another character in the same turn and isn't put on a cooldown. She cannot apply to buff too herself and when the skill is active, she herself cannot attack.
** "Moksha" has her switch positions with a subally, taking control of the ally and giving them a sharp boost to their stats, though in exchange their defense is lowered.
** "Cold Stare" reduces the elemental damage of a foe to zero for one turn and has a cooldown of 12 turns. It's her second to only skill with a cooldown.
** "Ama no Sakate" progresses the battle by five turns at the end of a turn once it's cast. It can only be used once per battle and is only ready after 5 turns have already passed. This is useful for skipping enemy triggers or helping the allies skills cooldown faster.
** Her charge attack "Clairvoyant Bliss" applies "Celestial Vision", an indefinite debuff that boosts the amount of damage the enemy takes and cannot be removed. It also deals 15% debuff resistant down, 30% Light attack down, 100% Double-Attack down, and 30% Triple-Attack down.
* SwitchoutMove: Her "Moksha" skill lets her switch out with a sub-ally while granting them substantial buffs at the cost of a defense debuff.

----
* ADayInTheLimelight: He is the event character in "Reflections for a White Clover".
* {{BFS}}: His katana would be impractically long in the hands of a ''draph''.
* ContinuityNod: Sevilbarra has a shared gag in the ''Grand Blues!'' comics where he attends a "Brothers meet-up" with Lucius and Ryan, with the trio secretly discussing their younger sisters. 616* CommonalityConnection: The Cross-Fate Episode between Elmott and Suframare deals with the two's common ground of interest towards taking care of the younger crew members.
* MundaneUtility: She applies magic to her parasol to make it constantly emit a cold aura underneath, keeping her cool no matter how hot the actual temperature is.
* NavelWindow: Her summer attire's top just leaves a small opening for her navel.
* ParasolOfPain: Suframare uses an umbrella as a weapon in her summer version.

* AdorablyPrecociousChild: She's positively adorable as a mortal despite being an almighty water dragon, happily eating snacks and playing Sugoroku with her new friends.
* AnimationBump: Her charge attack which incorporates [=Live2D=] and her chibified model into its animation.
* BadassAdorable: The mighty dragon of water with godly dominance over the element, who manifests as a very cute Harvin girl.
* CounterAttack: Her "Innocence Toxin" skill auto activates whenever she takes damage.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: She has lavender-colored crescent moon shapes in her eyes.

* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Mugen deduces that Wamdus's "hunger" and "emptiness" isn't just from not eating food, but also from loneliness, and her game of sugoroku with everyone helps her realize that. Mugen invites her to come over to Stardust Town to play with the other kids.
* KrakenAndLeviathan: Wamdus has a definite sea monster theme going, as shown when she appears with her dragon tentacles wrapped around skyships.
* MakingASplash: Pretty obviously, as the dragon of Water. She also has [[AnIcePerson ice powers]] and can make drinking glasses out of ice.
* TheNicknamer: Gives her fellow dragons nicknames, such as "Luoh" for Lu Woh, "Wil" for Wilnas, and "Lleon" for Galleon. She also refers to herself as "Wam".

A quirky old fisherman, who hides untold amounts of wisdom and experience under his carefree attitude.
----
* APupilOfMineUntilHeTurnedToEvil: [[spoiler:His greatest failure, and the main reason he retired from swordsmanship to become a fisherman.]]
* BadassLongcoat: He wears a white coat in his SSR wind version.
* BalanceBuff: For a long while, Yodarha's Water SSR was a victim of terrible PowerCreep, with newer characters sporting much less cumbersome and more consistent ways of guaranteeing triple attacks and inflicting plain damage nukes compared to his immense reliance on Triple Shroud stacks to achieve either at the cost of the other, to say nothing of the difficulty in maintaining his stacks when his skills also cost them for middling bonuses, and his incredible vulnerability upon having no stacks left. His 5-star uncap and rework in September 2023, nearly '''8 years''' after his SSR's initial release, greatly modernized his kit to bring him back to viability - namely, his upgraded passive does away with both his Triple Shroud stack cost on skill use and his vulnerability at no stacks, and his fourth skill grants a special buff which ''completely'' does away with his Triple Shroud stacks being consumed for ''anything'', including his charge attack which now inflicts even more plain damage at max stacks than before. All in all, Yodarha at his peak is now slid firmly back into his slot as an all-out attacker who can drop consistent plain damage upon anything he looks at while no longer posessing the power troughs he used to have.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: He doesn't take many things seriously and prefers to teach through unusual methods instead of being straightforward. His R weapon is even a fishing pole. However, during the rare occasions he gets serious, he could easily give Eahta a run for his money of the title of strongest katana wielder and one of the strongest characters in the game's canon.
* CastFromHitpoints: His Wind versions works on a rather extreme example since his "Indistinct Divide" skill charges up his CA with both a CA Up and a Damage Cap Up [[MaximumHPReduction at the cost of 30% of his max HP]]. Since he can either spent his gauge for a boosted CA or use his first skill to boost his attack, and since both skills have no cooldowns he can quickly turn himself into a very extreme GlassCannon.
* CoolOldGuy: He's kooky, old, and a first class asskicker, at least [[LetsGetDangerous when he gets himself in gear]].
* CrutchCharacter: He's infamous for turning most of the early game into a cakewalk, making him one of the most first-picked SSR characters despite being a goofy old guy in a game full of cute girls, but falls off the curve later on.
* DualWielding: He mostly dual-wields katanas.
* {{Expy}}: The name isn't the only thing he has in common with [[Franchise/StarWars Yoda]], being a tiny and old, yet legendary swordmaster turned quirky hermit [[spoiler:whose most promising student turned into a bad guy]]. They also share the same "jump and flip everywhere" style of swordsmanship.
* ImprovisedWeapon: Has tied a metal weight to his fishing pole and uses it as a makeshift flail. It's really not that effective: his SSR version discards it to go back to his real weapon, a pair of katanas.
* InkSuitActor: He looks a lot like a tiny Creator/ShigeruChiba. These days they even have the same hairdo.
* LetsGetDangerous: At the Fate Episode of his Wind Version, [[spoiler:he resolves to finally settle things with Grace, donning his Suicide Robes as a testament to how he's determined to kill her or die trying]]. It even extends into gameplay: he has a CastFromHitpoints instant CA charge with no cooldown, and his natural Triple Attack rate is ''so high'' he triples more often than not.
* MasterSwordsman: When he was younger, this was his main trade. He's gotten older, but his skills have barely rusted.
* MyGreatestFailure: [[spoiler:When Grace chose to use the skills he taught her to wantonly murder, he chose to spare her and crippling her sword arm rather than killing her. This ultimately didn't stop her and her kill count has only skyrocketed since then]].
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: [[spoiler:Grace, the Moon-dweller and one of the members of the Foe, is revealed to be Yodarha's ex-student, as revealed in his Wind SSR fate episodes]].
* PowerCreep: Once you've unlocked Threo, Yodarha would be rarely, or no longer used for your [[NonElemental Plain Damage]] nuking as she does the job better - While Yodarha's Ultimate Flash also deals up to 999,999 Plain Damage that makes the early game Daily Raids trivial, he requires a full Charge Bar and 3 Triple Shrouded stacks to use its highest possible damage. However, it is even inferior to what Threo's Ground Zero can do - up to more than a million Plain Damage in just one press of a button, readily available at the first turn with no other requirements.
* RenaissanceMan: "You're never too old to learn something new" is practically his catchphrase. As a result, over the course of his long life he's picked up an insane number of skills. When he shows up to a woodcarving class the rest of the crew is astonished there's something he ''doesn't'' know how to do.
* SnotBubble: When his Charge Attack Gauge is full, he seemingly goes to sleep accompanied with this.
* WhiteShirtOfDeath: Robes to be exact, but his pure white outfit in his Wind Version is his "Suicide Robes", which he wore as a young man determined to find death in the battlefield. He decides to wear them again [[spoiler:as a sign that he's prepared to die hunting down Grace]] and Rhens takes this as Yodarha having a deathwish.

A kind lady with the ability to manipulate fire, who dedicates her life to helping the innocent. After seeing Lyria deal with Leviathan from afar, she thinks NoManShouldHaveThisPower. But once she discovers said power was in the hands of two idealistic teenagers, she instead joins them, vowing to never let them go down the wrong path.
----
* CoolCrown: Her headband that has multiple crowns on it.
* DieOrFly: Her backstory. When she was a kid, a Primal Beast landed on her home island, ruining the climate and threatening the entire island. When the villagers thought of offering it a HumanSacrifice in exchange for their safety, she volunteered and went to meet the Beast, half-scared to death. Which is when she awakened her fire powers, and instead of dying, desperately fought it until it got tired and left. The sun piercing through the storm clouds following the battle gave her the inspiration to help people as much as she can, as well as her sun motif.
* DifficultButAwesome: Flare is one of, if not the most complicated skill in the game. It increases damage on ''both sides'' of the fight, by a ratio that changes every few seconds from 5 to 100% (not in order, or even in regular time increments, so there's a lot of values to remember). Pull it off right, and you can get a lot of extra damage; on the other hand, parties have been known to [[TotalPartyKill wipe]] because a badly timed attack resulted in a boss hitting twice as hard as it should have.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: A kind, motherly lady with powerful yet complicated fire magic.
* NavelDeepNeckline: Her shirt has an opening in the middle of her chest that stretches from her neck to her stomach. Yes, on a Harvin. It's silly, but it's there.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: Has fire powers, a strong affinity with the sun, and has a major sun theme in general.
* RedBaron: The Sun Priestess, after the events of her backstory.
* TeamMom: Or rather, ''everyone'''s mom. She's constantly acting like a kind, hard working mother. The people of her homeland like to joke about it.
