TheTeam itself.
----
* AntiHeroTeam: The group at large is selfish, frequently puts each other in danger, and can't agree on anything to save their lives, quite literally at points! Though they'll ''occasionally'' do the right thing in spite of this.
* AuthorAppeal: They all tend to have favored elements when hosting scenarios. The only exception is Den, whose scenarios ran the gamut in terms of elements.
** Curt tends to favor IP's with Anime or Visual Novel elements, as well as turn-based RPG's and indie-horror projects.
** Ivan tends to prefer using the ExcusePlot of the crew being on an "all-expense paid" trip, and {{railroad|ing}}s the others into following a more linear narrative.
** Christian splits his scenarios between RPG style video games that are either open-world or extremely difficult, and various personality tests and psychological studies to examine the members of the crew and their behaviors.
** Chilly favored scenarios that required teamwork as a major element, or were an ExcusePlot to justify [[TheDogBitesBack tormenting the crew for the crap they put her through.]]
* AuthorAvatar: All of them act as more exaggerated versions of their respective selves.
* AxCrazy: All of them to some degree have built up a considerable body count, and none of them are all to averse to causing a bit of mayhem or solving their problems with violence.
* BerserkButton: The word "high school" is enough to set them off and immediately complain.
-->[One Instance]
-->'''Chilly:''' You four are in high school--
-->'''Ivan:''' GET THE ''FUCK'' OUT OF HERE!
-->'''Christian:''' No! Whyyyyy?
-->[As Ivan and Christian say that, Curt and Den are banging on a locker in defeat and curled up crying on the floor respectively]

-->[Another Instance]
-->'''Den''': The five of us are in high school!
-->'''Ivan, Curt and Christian:''' [Simultaneously Screaming] [[BigNo NOOOOO!!!]]
-->'''Chilly:''' [[SigningOffCatchPhrase Recreyo out!]]
* ButForMeItWasTuesday: No matter how many heinous actions they commit, they'll largely be forgotten by the next episode, with any references to prior events mainly getting shrugged off by everyone involved.
* ButtMonkey: None of them usually come out of an episode unscathed, and even when they do, they'd likely have made a fool of themselves in the process regardless.
* {{Catchphrase}}: All collectively call each other "Loser" or "Loooooser" when someone is given an undesirable role or power in the story narrative.
* TheChewToy: Chilly and Ivan tend to get screwed with the most, even in their own scenarios where they should normally be untouchable.
* CollectiveGroan: No matter who's playing, everyone instantly dreads the words "[[HighSchool High]] [[BackToSchool School]]" the moment it's spoken if the narrator makes the scenario take place there. They have a similar reaction with map games.
* CharacterNarrator: All of them at some point take on the role, hosting their own scenarios depending on the episode which they gleefully put their friends through. As of current, not counting scenarios split into multiple videos, Ivan has the most with 35, followed by Curt and Den with 33, Christian with 32, Chilly did 17 before departing, Kristine with 4, and [[spoiler:Recreyo-chan]] with 1.
* DirtyCoward: Whenever a situation actually gets potentially dangerous, they'll all quickly switch their priorities over to looking out for themselves first and foremost. Whenever they ''do'' put someone's safety ahead of their own, it usually [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished ends poorly]] anyways.
* TheDitz: To call them a group of idiots would be an {{insult to|Rocks}} idiots. They regularly make stupid decisions, forget important details, and act like they lack brains on most occasions. Curt largely averts this thanks to being the OnlySaneMan most of the time, but isn't immune to doing dumb shit, and Christian tends to be a GeniusDitz as while he ''is'' intelligent in a variety of subjects, his lackadaisical attitude and willingness to do dumb shit for RuleOfFunny makes him come off as just as dumb as the others.
* EveryoneHasStandards: As much as they love insulting each other, there are some lines that none of them will cross. For example, they spend most of ''"Can They Pilot a Gundam?"'' using the questions they're asked to taunt each other... until they get to the question "who is most likely to [[spoiler: die alone?]]" This makes the entire group uncomfortable, and all of them refuse to give an answer. [[spoiler: This ends up being the one question they all seriously agree on.]]
* EveryoneIsASuspect: After Den's mysterious murder in ''"Can They Find The Killer?"'', it's quickly realized everyone else in Recreyo is a suspect; Curt booked the location, Christian arrived early, Ivan didn't send out the extra invites, and Chilly took out the internet. [[spoiler: It was none of them. Den staged the whole thing as a trust-building exercise. Unfortunately, this led to Ivan killing Chilly for real.]]
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Have an impossibly difficult time comprehending when somebody is just being ''nice''; they're almost always quick to assume they either have a deeper, underlying motivation for it, or that it'll fade with time.
* {{Flanderization}}: The more the episodes go on, the more their cruelty, selfishness, and overall lack of intelligence come to light. Best exemplified in "Which Harry Potter House Are You?" where three of them (Den, Chilly and Ivan) qualify to be in Slytherin and absolutely no one identifies as a Ravenclaw.
-->'''Curt:''' If this has taught us anything, the whole Recreyo cast doesn't care about intelligence and I think that's valid.
-->'''Ivan:''' We snakes bro!
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: [[FunPersonified Christian]] is sanguine, [[TheCynic Curt]] is melancholic, [[{{Jerkass}} Ivan]] is choleric, [[TheKirk Den]] is leukine, and [[ExtremeDoormat Chilly]] is phlegmatic.
* FreudianTrio: Christian is TheMcCoy, Ivan is TheKirk, and Curt is TheSpock, though that'll vary between episodes.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Played for laughs.
** ''Nobody'' seems to treat Chilly with much respect, with the group sometimes going out of their way to try and get her ''killed'' during the sessions. Even episodes where it'd be best to keep her around, there will almost always be at least one attempt to either get rid of her or sacrifice her.
** Ivan is generally the member to get most actively called out by the others for his behavior, being seen as far greedier than the others and also far dumber, leading to them not giving him much respect in turn. The other members even intentionally attack him during several JRPG scenarios. After Chilly leaves the group, Ivan becomes this even moreso, typically being the one who gets [[TheChewToy knocked around]] when not narrator, and pissing off the others with his {{railroading}} when he ''is'' narrator.
* TheHero: In some scenarios one of the members will be given the role of the main protagonist from whichever scenario they’re doing, such as Chilly taking Ichigo’s role in “Can You Survive Bleach?”.
* GenreSavvy: Everyone to some degree has an awareness of the common tropes in fiction, which often come in handy during the games.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Well, when they bother ''trying'' to be heroic that is.
* InformedAttribute: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. The Recreyo crew ''is'' a MultinationalTeam and this is readily apparent when looking at the ''actual'' team, it's rather hard to tell when going only by the animations for the scenarios, the monochrome coloration making it impossible to tell based on skin color, with even Curt, who is Black, having uncolored skin like everyone else, leaving the fact they ''are'' certain ethnicities something only noticeable in the scenarios when they outright say it or cut to live-action.
* ItsAllAboutMe: When facing any sort of difficult situation, it becomes clear fairly quickly that they're all out for themselves.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: All of of them (except occasionally [[{{OnlySaneMan}} Curt]]), are [[{{ItsAllAboutMe}} Selfish]] [[{{Jerkass}} assholes]], but they do care about each other and they'll occasionally to the right thing.
* KarmaHoudini: Whenever one of them acts as TheNarrator of the episode, they'll inevitably get away with anything and everything that happens throughout it. [[{{ZigZagged}} Usually]].
* KickTheDog: ''Far'' too many to count...
* LackOfEmpathy: They generally don't care all too much about how their actions affect each other, their guests, or any others they meet along the way.
* ALighterShadeOfBlack: For ''all their flaws'', the team often stands in a better light than the antagonistic forces they face every episode.
* MadLibsCatchphrase: Both Ivan and Christian would say something along the lines of "___-er? [[ThatsWhatSheSaid I barely know her!]]" much to the dismay of everyone else. A more general example is the group's many iterations of ''WebVideo/DeezNuts'' jokes usually targeted at the narrator or antagonists.
* '''MeanCharacterNiceActor''': The Recreyo team is often shown to be made up of selfish, self-destructive jerks who often cause untold chaos amongst themselves. The ''actual'' team has all been shown to be kind, decent people.
* MoralityPet: Any of the guests they meet along the way. While they're all generally awful to each other, they go pretty out of their way to treat them with something resembling respect and kindness.
* MultinationalTeam: The group consists of the Jordanian-American Chilly, the TokenBlack Curt, and the Filipino-American Ivan, Christian, and Den, the former two being American-born, and the latter born and raised in the Philippines until moving to the US when she was in High School. While this initially seemed to be {{downplayed|Trope}} following Chilly's departure and Kristine's joining, suggesting the group was now largely consisting of Filipino-Americans with Curt being the only outlier, "Debunking Childhood Myths" had Kristine reveal she learned from her dad during a drunken stupor that she's not ''actually'' Filipino despite being raised as such most of her life, she's mixed Chinese-Spanish.
* NeverBareheaded: Curt, Den, and Chilly are never seen without their signature headwear: baseball caps for the former, panda hat for the latter.
* NeverMyFault: ''Very'' rarely will any of them own up to any of the mistakes they make on their adventures.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The dynamic between the three boys; Christian's the nice, Ivan's the mean, and Curt's the in-between.
* NotHisSled: Many of the scenarios are based on existing IP's, and while several try to adhere to TheStationsOfTheCanon, several have been known to change certain details so as to catch the crew off guard.
** {{Invoked|Trope}} in Curt's scenario "Can You Survive ''Demon Slayer''?", where Curt takes the role of Nezuko. He declares he's changing the script since he ''likes'' being a demon, so he runs off and becomes a complete demon unlike Nezuko, with the four Recreyo members acting as survivors of the Kamado clan and wanting revenge on ''Curt'' rather than Muzan as a result.
** Kristine's very first scenario is "Can You Survive ''Literature/{{Another}}''?", where she tasks the crew with identifying who among five candidates is the "[[DeadAllAlong extra]]" of the class, the options being [[BrokenBird Mei Misaki]], [[BadassTeacher Reiko Mikami]], [[LovableJock Naoya Teshigawara]], [[{{Tsundere}} Izumi Akazawa]], and [[AxCrazy Shoji Kubodera]]. The ''canon'' "extra" of the class, [[spoiler:Reiko Mikami]], is the third candidate killed, and results in Ivan getting killed for picking the ''wrong'' one. Kristine instead has the "extra" be [[spoiler:Shoji Kubodera, the ''first'' character to be killed by the curse narrative wise]], and reveals they are the "extra" only after ''all'' of Recreyo dies getting it wrong.
** Den's scenario "We Found a Secret in this ''[[Film/TheCabinInTheWoods Cabin]]''.." follows the initial setup until the point in which the crew picks an ArtifactOfDoom. Instead of picking "The Diary of Patience Buckner" and releasing the Buckner Family, they pick the "Orb Puzzle", and release [[spoiler:Fornicus, Lord of Bondage and Pain]]. Due to only facing one monster, only Kristine and Curt die initially, the former by [[spoiler:Fornicus]], the latter by trying to jump the ravine. [[spoiler:Ivan, "[[FinalGirl The Virgin]]" of the group, in turn decides to go through with killing Christian and Den to save the world, averting it's destruction like in the film.]]
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: {{Play|ingWithATrope}}ed with overall. With the exception of Christian, all the members of Recreyo go by shortened versions of their [=YouTube=] handles when doing scenarios: "Chilly" for [=ChillyPanda=], "Curt" for [=CurtRichy=], "Ivan" for Ivan Animated, and "Den" for [=CypherDen=]. Aside from Chilly however, said shortened versions also happen to double as shortened versions of their ''real'' names: Curtis Richardson, Ivan, and Dennise Andrea Casurra. Christian is the only flat out {{subver|tedTrope}}sion, as his handle is "Frugal Aesthetic", but rarely goes by that, only doing so due to the OneSteveLimit when a guest shares his name.
* RedOniBlueOni: Christian and Ivan serve as the RedOni to Den and Curt's BlueOni, with Chilly largely fluctuating depending on the situation. Though more often than not, these roles can swiftly be [[{{Inverted}} twisted on their head]] depending on how the group reacts to each individual situation.
* SigningOffCatchPhrase: One member usually ques the outro by saying "Recreyo, Out!". Initially, this was something largely exclusive to Chilly, but even when she was around there were occasionally others who used it. Following her departure, it's said by whoever the GuestStarPartyMember is, or the crew uses it interchangeably, though Kristine tends to use it the most.
* SitcomArchNemesis: The group is a DysfunctionJunction on a normal day, but there's some notable dynamics reminiscent of this anyway.
** Ivan is Den's, as she regularly tries stabbing him, at least OnceAnEpisode, seemingly for no reason. Den claims it's because Ivan [[spoiler:nearly killed her dog]], but with how rarely it's brought up and how AxCrazy Den is depicted as, it's just as easily him being her favorite target.
** Chilly was Curt's, Curt being the one most often annoyed by her antics. Even when she is TheFriendNobodyLikes, the others can at least be nice to her on occasion and can get along with her. Curt meanwhile would rather be killed by an Enderman than compliment her, and ends up being the happiest whenever Chilly gets killed in a scenario.
* TeamPet: They gain an adorable dog in "Can They Survive Mortal Kombat" that reappears in a few other episodes... but they can’t seem to agree on whether his name is "Wavy Paws" or "Shady Paws".
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: The crew tends to hate certain elements that show up in scenarios more than others, and if they come up, you can expect them to start moaning. Said elements include scenarios involving High School, having to do a map game of some kind, or being on an "all-expense paid" trip in any of Ivan's scenarios.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Den and Chilly are the only recurring female members on the team (not including special guests) until the latter's departure. Kristine would later take Chilly's place so the trope still applies.
* TrueCompanions: Though a very confused, dysfunctional, backstabbing group as a whole, they're certainly a fellowship of ''some'' kind.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: A group of idiots, con-artists, saboteurs, and jerks actively attempting to screw each other over whenever possible.

[[caption-width-right:350:''"[[KickThemWhileTheyreDown Sorry buddy!]]"'']]
The AxCrazy and stab happy member of the group.
----
* ApatheticStudent: Is the least enthused or interested in anything school or education-related between her, Chilly, and Ivan.
* TheAlcoholic: Frequently found drinking from a bottle.
* AxCrazy: Den is the most openly violent member of the group, with her go-to response to most situations being to stab something or someone, [[ButtMonkey usually Ivan.]] Thoroughly {{lampshade|Hanging}}d during "Can You Survive ''Home Sweet Home''" after the group finds a weapons cache in her apartment, including an actual axe, much to the shock of everyone but Chilly, who is too busy gushing over Den's katana and flamethrower.
-->'''Curt:''' We can always count on you and violence.
-->'''Christian:''' Is the landlord okay with this shit? [[EveryoneHasStandards What the fuck?]] [[SkewedPriorities Yo, are we getting our security deposit back?]]
-->'''Den:''' Definitely not.
-->'''Curt:''' It's right next to the bed because Den wakes up and chooses ''violence'' everyday.
-->'''Ivan:''' They said no pets, but there's like a battle axe just hanging on the wall, that's nuts.
* BadgeGag: When she shows off her school ID, her gender is shown to be "Taco" while her height is "???".
* GirlsWithMoustaches: Seemingly grew quite the mustache during her time as a wizard.
* HappilyMarried: She's in a loving marriage with her husband George, who occasionally cameos and is regularly brought up by others whenever Den gets another crush on someone in a scenario.
* IneptMage: Den is frequently shown to possess some degree of magical ability, being capable of turning people into Oompa-Loompas and being a wizard tutor with otherworldly friends. This does ''not'' mean she's a particularly ''good'' mage though...
* InTheHood: Wears a hood throughout the entirety of ''"Can They Escape Virtual Reality?"''.
* LanguageBarrier: Being raised in the Philippines until she came to the US at High School age, she openly admits English isn't her first language and can get things mixed up as a result. This comes up in "Can You Survive VideoGame/DeadByDaylight?" when Chilly asked a question about what Recreyo would consider the best way for a steak to be prepared, the guys all respond "Medium Rare", but Den misunderstood the question as the ''method'' on how to cook the steak, responding ''oven''.
* LovableSexManiac: {{Downplayed|Trope}}, but she regularly falls for any waifus or husbandos she finds in the scenarios, a minor RunningGag being her throwing her phone at those she's attracted to as a result of LoveMakesYouDumb. Notable cases include [[Literature/ReZero Emilia]], [[Manga/MyHeroAcademia Katsuki Bakugo]], and VideoGame/{{Catherine}}.
* MeanBoss: During her stint as [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Willy Wonka]], Den couldn't care less that the Oompa-Loompas were dead, having no issue replacing them with the visiting members of Recreyo.
* NotWorthKilling: Den, during the Invincible episode, chooses not to kill Ivan [[spoiler:much like how her character did in the original]], though the reason being that she was disappointed in his fighting prowess.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Spends ''"Can They Escape A Crisis Bunker?"'' being the most passive of the group, seemingly content staying in the bunker playing board games for the rest of her life. [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness This, predictably, leaves Chilly and Ivan shocked]].
* OutOfFocus: In ''"Can They Escape Virtual Reality?"''.
* PetTheDog: Admits that Chilly is perhaps the smartest member of Recreyo (sans herself) in ''"Can They Become Wizards?"''. Granted, this was intended ''more'' as a ''jab'' at the rest of the team, but still, it gets points.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: She's been noted to be pretty short...which doesn't stop her from beating the likes of ''Randy Orton'' or a Mummy.
* PluckyComicRelief: Acts as one throughout ''"Can They Escape Virtual Reality?"''.
* PoorCommunicationKills: [[spoiler:Her barely putting the effort in to try and sway Chilly to her side is exactly what gets both of them killed in ''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"'', as it causes Chilly to instead believe the saboteur (Ivan).]]
* RaceAgainstTheClock: The main plot of ''"Can They Become Wizards?"'' is that she's dying in an hour, and thus needs to speed along the final tests of the rest of Recreyo to become wizards. [[spoiler:Expectedly, she dies at the end of the episode.]]
* RoseHairedSweetie: [[AvertedTrope Nah]]. She might have pink hair, but she's just as selfish and destructive as the rest of the crew.
* SeriesMascot: While the group often jokes about Ivan being the "main character" or Curt running the channel, they're an EnsembleCast overall, none of them having any more importance than the other. Den however tends to be used in marketing for the group, even being placed in the center of their Season 2 banner, and getting her own plushie.
* SkewedPriorities: As she's being dragged off to be killed by Springtrap, she's less focused on the fact she's gonna die, and more upset it stopped her [[PottyEmergency from using the bathroom]].
-->'''Den:''' [[BigNo No! Noooo!]] Let me pee first!
* SoleSurvivor: [[spoiler:The ending of ''"Can They Escape A Crisis Bunker?"'' implies that she was the only member of Recreyo to survive the crisis, as she decided to stay in the bunker instead of face an apocalyptic world like Chilly and Ivan.]]
* TomboyishBaseballCap: Wears one, which only accentuates her more aggressive personality in comparison to Chilly.

The acerbic, snarky, Anime and Visual Novel loving member.
----
* AchievementsInIgnorance: [[spoiler:An {{Invoked}} attempt at this! During ''"Can They Escape Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory?"'', he intentionally never checked to see if he had the Golden Ticket, instead acting as he always does, allowing him to come across as far more natural than those around him, helping secure his win.]]
* ActionSurvivor: Has survived the most episodes of the Recreyo crew.
* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler:At the end of "Aliens Are Real... Now What?", Recreyo-chan manages to successfully kidnap him, dragging her with him into a portal, then pretending to ''be'' him in the following episode "Can You Survive an SCP Containment Breach?". The immediate following episode, "Can You Survive The Manananggal?", sees him trapped within the glitches periodically appearing and screaming for the others to save him, but going unnoticed for the whole episode.]]
* BlackComedyRape: A ''lot'' of comedy is had at the fact Curt is [[MisterSeahorse impregnated]] by the Morp Morp Impregnatron in "Can They Survive ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty''?", with the others focused on literally ''[[SkewedPriorities anything]]'' other than helping him.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: {{Inverted}} ''hard''. Curt is so aware of the trope, that throughout ''"Can They Escape Jurassic Park?"'', his motivation is making sure he just ''doesn't die first.'' [[spoiler:He succeeds, [[ActionSurvivor ultimately surviving the episode]].]]
* BoundAndGagged: [[DownplayedTrope Minus the gag]], but [[spoiler:Recreyo-chan keeps him chained up after kidnapping him and taking his place, as revealed in an audio clip found on an ARG website connected to her.]] This being [[DeadpanSnarker Curt]], he points out the fucked up connotations in having the TokenBlack guy be restrained with chains.
-->'''Curt:''' Also, you know it's kinda [[SuddenlyShouting fucked up]] to do chains on the one-- ok.
* BrutalHonesty: Will ''not'' keep how he's feeling from anyone, let alone the rest of Recreyo, who regularly [[OnlySaneMan try his patience]].
* BystanderSyndrome: When faced with any sort of conflict, Curt often prefers ignoring it entirely and acting as if nothing could have been done.
* {{Catchphrase}}: LET'S GOOOO!!!
* DeadpanSnarker: While every member of Recreyo has their moments, he has undeniably the sharpest tongue of the group, and is often the most likely to make snarky jokes at the other's expense.
* DissonantSerenity: Curt is eerily calm and collected during "Can You Survive an SCP Containmet Breach?", [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness not once raising his voice or getting angry]]. [[spoiler:It's because it's ''not'' Curt, it's Recreyo-chan pretending to be him after kidnapping him the episode prior.]]
* FailedAttemptAtDrama: [[PlayingWithATrope Scenario variant]]. Many of Curt's scenarios try to go for a tone matching that of the IP, or something along the lines of drama filled with tension, Curt himself acting in a similar manner while very rarely corpsing. These efforts end up failing though due to the rest of the crew screwing around and not taking things seriously, chief example being [[spoiler:the final battle with Recreyo-chan, with only Curt treating as the legitimate threat that wants them all dead she's meant to be]], contrasted with Den and Christian ''once again'' trying to screw over Ivan, and Kristine's general [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} insanity]] only bemusing or grossing out everyone.
-->'''Curt:''' I beg of y'all to take this seriously '''once''', please!
-->'''Den:''' (As she and Christian are preparing to attack Ivan) [[BlatantLies We're taking it seriously!]]
* {{Gaslighting}}: Curt can be very convincing with his words, and can talk circles around people enough that they end up thinking what he ''wants'' them to think. He even says in "Are YOU Toxic?" that, while it's a RunningGag that Christian {{gaslight|ing}}s people, ''he's'' the actual gaslighter of the group.
-->'''Christian:''' Curt's so good at gaslighting, that he's gaslit the ''audience'' to think it's me.
* HopeSpot: During the "Can You Survive Kingdom Hearts" scenario, he is initially ''ecstatic'' when WebVideo/{{Sethical}} and Kristine demonstrate ''actual'' interest in progressing the scenario and demonstrating tactics in contrast to Den and Christian screwing around and [[TheChewToy dicking over Ivan]], only for that excitement to be dashed when both decide to screw around too for the sake of making [[RuleOfFunny funny content]].
* IgnoredExpert: Curt tends to be very aware of tropes in horror movies, and as a result knows what ''not'' to do if any of them come up, instead advocating they just [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere leave outright]]. Despite his regular protests though, he's either ignored by everyone else in his party, or {{railroad|ing}}ed by the narrator to make sure the scenario continues. When he's proven right, he's not afraid to say IToldYouSo.
-->'''Curt:''' (After Chilly is stabbed [[Series/SweetHome by a monster]]) Yeah, maybe we should have went '''[[SuddenlyShouting back]]''', but, uh, that seems like it was on you, so... I- I feel NoSympathy, that really was a personal mistake.
* MisplacedRetribution: A victim of it during Season 2. After numerous episodes begin displaying constant [[OminousVisualGlitch glitching]] due to what's heavily implied to be Recreyo-chan's interference, Curt ends up taking the brunt of the blame due to being the one who approves the final edits on the videos before they are uploaded to the main channel, despite the videos seeming perfectly fine when he goes to upload them. This culminated in the initial upload for "Can They Survive ''Five Nights At Freddy's 4''" being completely glitched out at the 0:36 second mark, necessitating a redone version be released a week later that ''still'' had some glitches, Curt issuing a public statement that the initial version was a "rendering error", and releasing an [[https://youtu.be/whJJC14ZOPs apology video]] for all the glitches where he makes clear he feels bad about everything, and that all episodes will be released bi-weekly from then on until he can fix this glitching. A FreezeFrameBonus of the Discord for the members of Recreyo even shows the other members blaming Curt for the issues, Christian in particular thinking it's Curt's idea of a prank and [[DudeNotFunny not finding it funny]].
-->'''cypherden:''' today's video was completely off? @[=CurtRichy=] what happened? I took it down :o
-->'''k.fel:''' O whats happening?
-->'''Ivan Animated:''' Am I bugging out or is this the worst one yet? LOL
-->'''Ivan Animated:''' [Re: k.fel] Today's video is just all static
-->'''frugal ass:''' dude you're dropping the '''ball''' @[=CurtRichy=]\
at this point i think youre fucking with us and adding them yourself. the joke is over. you didnt miss a blatant 12 minutes of static
-->'''[=CurtRichy=]:''' I stg its it was fine on upload, like I triple checked that shit.
-->'''frugal ass:''' nah clearly you didnt
-->'''Ivan Animated:''' Ya I mean its fine, but maybe just make sure you're uploading the right version?
-->'''cypherden:''' I don't think we can afford to have to put up a video and delete it again u_u
* MistakenForRacist: In "Are You Psychic", Curt is tasked with answering a question based on how he thinks ''Den'' would answer, and see if the answer he picked is what Den picked, the question being "What is the perfect meal?". Curt had picked his answer thinking Den could either answer seriously, or jokingly, and decided to pick the latter... only to realize after picking it that if he's wrong, he'll come across as racist. The answer he picked was "Jolly Crispy Chickenjoy Bucket Treat B", but Den picked differently, making Curt look racist for picking a [=JolliBee=] answer.[[labelnote:Explanation]][=JolliBee=] is a Filipino fast food chain, and Den is a Filipino native who moved to the United States as a teenager.[[/labelnote]] Making matters worse is how he had a shout session over Christian possibly picking an answer for him that was ''chicken'' related and in turn being racist, making him look like a {{hypocrite}}.[[labelnote:Explanation]]African-Americans are stereotyped as loving fried chicken.[[/labelnote]] So Curt jokes that he now has to quit Recreyo to spare them from being cancelled for his choice in answer.
* MisterSeahorse: Curt gets impregnated by the Morp Morp Impregnatron in "Can They Survive ''Rick and Morty''?" for refusing to give his Hell Cannon to Ronnie, spending the majority of the episode visibly pregnant.
-->'''Den:''' So you guys have [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Fanmade Parody Rick, a dog with a subspace belly, an army of Raptor-patties-]]
-->'''Curt:''' And Pregnant Black Guy.
* NotHelpingYourCase: In "Can You Survive Wednesday Addams?", when the group is tasked with identifying who among them is the monster, everyone believes it's Curt due to his being the {{shapeshifter}} and being the only member to ''not'' go in the mansion with the rest of them. Curt is ''adamant'' it isn't him though and tries coming up with counterarguments, but ends up making himself look guiltier by ''agreeing'' with the evidence that points towards him[[labelnote:*]]Ivan and Kristine both received a clue from Den, Ivan's stating "OccamsRazor", and Kristine's stating "Literature/DrJekyllAndMrHyde [[{{malaproper}} is]] hiding in plain sight", Curt agreeing that, as the shapeshifter, the monster being him would fit both clues.[[/labelnote]] and then undermining his ''own'' argument that Christian had [[BrainwashedAndCrazy controlled him]]. [[spoiler:He was being entirely honest though, as ''Ivan'' was the monster.]] As Christian himself put it:
-->'''Christian:''' Curt went "I did an investigation on ''myself'' and found myself ''not guilty''!" -- This mothafucker walked into- he walked into ''himself''! (Accompanied by visual of Curt willingly walking himself into a jail cell while saying it wasn't him)
* NotHimself: "She Fed Us PEOPLE" would see Curt acting ''very'' erratic and unstable. While previous horror scenarios would see Curt acting as the IgnoredExpert and acting snarkier than anything, Curt is much more freaked out during the scenario based on ''Film/TheMenu'', being a MoodSwinger and having a full on breakdown over the "Breadless Bread Plate" Den serves, to the point the others think he hit his head or something. It's heavily implied he's being adversely affected by Recreyo-chan, as when he tries blinking an SOS to the coastguard, Recreyo-chan's symbol appears in his left eye much it appeared in SCP-049's eye.
-->'''Curt:''' (Speaking into a radio) '''HEEEE- Help me!''' People are getting eaten, [[MoodSwinger and not in the fun way.]] We gotta get outta here bro!
* OnlySaneMan: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. He's generally the only member of the team to think with any sort of consistent logic, but is just as prone to doing stupid shit when he's not going into an anger-fueled shoutfest.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Curt normally hates Ivan's {{railroading}} just as much as the others. In "Can You Survive VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}?" though, after he gets killed fighting an Enderman and Ivan wants to jump straight to the Ender Dragon, Curt begins trying to ''force'' Chilly to do so, being that pissed off at her getting him killed by an Enderman because she wanted him to "experience" Minecraft.
* PyrrhicVictory: [[spoiler:Technically wins ''"Can They Escape Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory?"'', [[PetTheDog but is left feeling empty at the fact since the others are forced to stay behind]].]]
* RageQuit: Curt has twice tried to have scenarios involving turn-based RPG's and having the crew work together, only for the group to end up screwing around and derailing the whole thing, typically at Ivan's expense when he's the only one trying to ''actually'' do the scenario, even after he tries to give assistance to get things back on track.
** In "Can You Survive Demon Slayer''", everyone was more focused on screwing with Ivan's corpse after Christian [[DisproportionateRetribution killed him for one mistake]], prompting Curt to revive Ivan hoping that would fix things... only for Ivan to [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal turn on the others and join the demons]].
** With "Can You Survive ''Franchise/KingdomHearts''", while WebVideo/{{Sethical}} and Kristine initially tried to keep things on track in spite of Den and Christian's screwing around, they too would end up joining in on the mayhem despite Curt giving all the tips he could. This became the final kicker in him swearing off doing any more scenarios like that ever again for his own sanity.
-->'''Curt:''' We're never doing this again, that was terrible!
* RobbingTheDead: Curt has ''no'' issue with robbing corpses, regardless of whether they're in a grave, or if they're a zombie.
* TheSmartGuy: Acts as this for Recreyo; he's usually is the first of the group to solve anything that's puzzle-based, he keeps a level head more often than the others, and he tends to be left baffled by the rest of the group's stupidity.
* SourOutsideSadInside: Curt tends to be the most acerbic of the group and the one most likely to start [[SuddenlyShouting shouting]] when pissed off, which is often. He's also admitted to having very low self esteem and poor mental health. "Are YOU Toxic?" in particular has him confide in the group that he has social anxiety and would more likely change himself just to be accepted by others.
-->'''Curt:''' I am in perpetual turmoil, ''at all times''!
* SuddenlyShouting: Curt is the one most likely to start shouting at the others, largely when he's EnragedByIdiocy.
* TokenBlack: Something he is fully aware of, and won't hesitate to point out the stereotypes and tropes pertaining to it, ''especially'' if a scenario is happening during February, aka "Black History Month".
* UnsatisfiableCustomer: In spite of being given a free trip there, Curt is the most outwardly miserable while at Raptor Park, criticizing every aspect around him (from the number of raptors the park has to the names of their staff) while constantly demanding a refund, again, for their ''free'' trip.
** [[spoiler:{{Inverted}} at the end, citing the experience as a net positive since Christian found love (though died), Chilly is a God (though lost her arm), and he's alive.]]

The greedy, short, and useless member.
----
* AcquiredSituationalNarcissism: {{Play|ingWithATrope}}ed with. While Ivan ''always'' has a bit of an ego, in others' scenarios it's largely tempered by him being the ButtMonkey and the narrators keeping him down to Earth. When ''he's'' the narrator though, he becomes a ControlFreak and brushes off any issues the others have with him and his {{railroading}}, frequently taunting them about how he's in control too.
-->'''Ivan:''' (During the Minecraft scenario) Fuck off Curt, I'm in "Creative Mode", you can't touch me.
* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:Has his arm chopped off after getting bitten by a zombie.]]
* AssShove: Happens to him in ''"Can They Escape A Parallel Dimension"'', where [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Christian shoves his numbered key up his butthole before unlocking 4/5 of the door they need to go through to advance]].
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:Ultimately the SoleSurvivor of ''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"'' and the winner of the Loudspeaker's DeadlyGame.]]
* BigBad:
** [[spoiler:Of ''"Can They Survive This High School?"'' and ''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"'', being the traitor of the group.]]
** Of ''"Can They Escape Virtual Reality?"'', being responsible for placing the group into the trials, fully knowing that they could potentially die.
* BoringButPractical: In turn-based RPG scenarios like Curt's, Ivan tends to actually focus on attacking the enemy rather than just dicking around like the others. While that helps them progress through the scenarios, the other Recreyo members call him boring for it since it's not adhering to the RuleOfFunny.
-->'''Curt:''' Ivan protecting his life and defeating everyone: "[[SarcasmMode You're so boring.]]"
* ButtMonkey: If Chilly's not being made fun of, he is. He's regularly taunted by the rest of Recreyo, placed in dangerous situations by villains and monsters, and made a fool out of. [[SmallNameBigEgo Not that it isn't usually deserved]]. He can't even get away with anything while acting as TheNarrator, often finding his plots derailed or having his life threatened by the others due to not taking him seriously.
* CoolShades: Wears them in all the promotional artwork.
* DependingOnTheArtist: He's sometimes drawn without his shades due to the rotating animators for the episodes.
* TheDitz: Tends to overlook important details or get completely lost in a conversation with no idea what to say or do, usually ending in him screaming about how confused he is.
* EpicFail: According to "Can they Pilot a Gundam?", Ivan somehow managed to ''forget'' to invite WebAnimation/{{Tabbes}} ''to her own birthday party!'' [[https://youtu.be/PWEtGHRHtPU?t=545 Den brings it up]] to everyone else's shock upon learning of it, and Ivan's only defense is that he was so excited for the party itself that he just flat out forgot to invite the birthday girl. But hey, at least she got the invite eventually, right?
* EveryoneHasStandards: Refuses to loot somebody's body, [[RobbingTheDead unless they're already dead]].
* HeManWomanHater: {{Parodied|Trope}} and PlayedForLaughs. Ivan is ''not'' misogynistic, but he has a ''bad'' habit of OpenMouthInsertFoot, making comments that can easily ''come across'' as such. As a result, it's a minor RunningGag that Ivan is the "misogynist" of the group.
* HeightAngst: He's the shortest member out of the Recreyo Crew which the rest like to point out and make fun of often.
-->[Upon hearing Chilly and Christian are outstanding members of society in the "Can You Survive Batman?" scenario]
-->'''Ivan:''' I didn't know the bar was so low.
-->'''Chilly:''' Hey, I'm taller than you! [Leans arm on Ivan's head]
-->'''Christian:''' Yeah, the bar might be low but you can still stand under it cuz you're short as ''shit''!
* TheHero: In many scenarios based on intellectual properties where Ivan ''isn't'' acting as TheNarrator, he'll be cast in the role of the main character of that IP. Whether or not said character ''fits'' Ivan tends to vary, but more often than not said character will be a CosmicPlaything or go through some kind of tragedy, causing Ivan to become the ButtMonkey yet again. He is jokingly called the "Main Character" of ''Recreyo'' by the others as a result.
** {{Downplayed|Trope}} in "Can They Survive ''Manga/AttackOnTitan''?", where he is cast as '''Armin Arlert'''. While Eren Yeager is the main protagonist, who Curt is cast as, Armin is the {{deuteragonist}} of the series, receives just as much focus as Eren thanks to his intelligence, and [[spoiler:acts as the lead character amidst the heroes after Eren becomes a VillainProtagonist]].
** In "Can They Survive ''[[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Evangelion]]''?", Christian casts Ivan as '''Shinji Ikari''', making him the pilot of Eva Unit-01 and saddling him with facing the Angel.
** In "Can They Survive ''[[WesternAnimation/Invincible2021 Invincible]]''?", Ivan is cast as the titular character '''Invincible / Mark Grayson''', which he realizes means he'll be forced to fight Den as Omni-Man. He tries to {{exploit|edTrope}} the canonical ending of their fight to end the fight prematurely, but Den proves less remorseful than Nolan, so while she still leaves without killing Ivan, her reasoning is that she finds Ivan NotWorthKilling.
** In "Can You Survive ''VideoGame/Persona5''?", Ivan is made the "Wild Card" of the group by Curt, and cast as '''Joker''' as a result, gaining his mask, initial Persona Arsene, and the ability to gain other Persona's.
** In "Can You Survive ''ComicBook/{{Batman}}''?", Ivan is cast as the titular '''Batman / Bruce Wayne''', with Den taking on the role of The Joker and Curt as Two-Face, both trying to torture him via {{sadistic choice}}s... only for Ivan to not give a shit.
** In "Can You Survive ''Film/FinalDestination''?", Ivan is cast as '''Alex Browning''', being the one to have a premonition that the plane they're on will explode and getting everyone kicked off the plane.
** {{Downplayed|Trope}} in "Can You Survive ''Manga/DemonSlayer''?". While none of the crew are cast as ''specific'' characters, Ivan veers closest to taking the role of '''Tanjiro Kamado''', wearing Tanjiro's outfit, using Water Breathing techniques, and [[spoiler:[[FaceMonsterTurn undergoing demonization]].]]
** In "''[[Series/TheBoys2019 THE BOYS.]]''", Ivan is cast as '''Hughie Campbell''', his girlfriend getting [[AccidentalMurder killed]] by the Superhero A-Train, prompting him to join the titular group to get revenge.
** {{Play|ingWithATrope}}ed with in "Can You Survive ''Franchise/KingdomHearts''?", Curt casts Ivan in the role of '''Sora''', giving him the Kingdom Key and having Kairi being his ImpliedLoveInterest. Ivan however finds the design of the Kingdom Key unappealing compared to the more detailed Keyblades the others have, so he trades the Kingdom Key to WebVideo/{{Sethical}} in exchange for his Way To The Dawn.[[labelnote:*]]Erroneously called Dawn Breaker[[/labelnote]] As a result though, while Ivan keeps Sora's general look and ends up taking in Kairi's heart, ''Sethical'' takes the role of the main character and ends up the SoleSurvivor of the group's encounter with Darkside.
** In "We Found a Secret in this ''Cabin''..", based on ''The Cabin in the Woods'', Ivan is designated "[[FinalGirl The Virgin]]" by the shadowy Organization, making him the analogue to '''Dana Polk''', in turn leaving him with the decision of killing his friends to appease the Ancient Ones. [[spoiler:Unlike Dana, who hesitated in killing Marty long enough to be attacked by the Werewolf before she could do anything concrete, Ivan doesn't hesitate to kill Den and Christian so he can return to "pondering the orb".]]
* HiddenDepths: He's a ''doctor'' surprisingly enough! [[InformedAttribute Not that he ever has a chance to show it.]] "What YouTubers Don't Tell You." would later explain he more accurately ''was'' a doctor, a pulmonologist specifically, but gave up that profession in favor of becoming an animator.
* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: Several of his attempts at {{railroading}} end up getting screwed over by the crew members exploiting the very details in the scenario he wrote.
** In "Can You Survive ''Harry Potter''" and its sequel, he tries to make the crew participate in the Tri-Wizard Cup and tries making their attempts at circumventing his rules ineffective. Their GuestStarPartyMember however is Bryson/Haminations, a super fan of ''Harry Potter'' who knows all the lore and the perfect ways to flat out deny Ivan's attempts at stopping him while making sure he can't ignore the lore, effectively letting Bryson stage a HostileShowTakeover and frustrating Ivan enough to rage quit.
** In "WE BECAME MAGICAL GIRLS", after having used Kristine's chaotic nature to force the others into complying with the scenario to the point [[EveryoneHasStandards not even she wants to be involved anymore]], the magic power he gives her allows her to teleport herself to anywhere she wants at the 25% risk of going to the Sahara Desert instead. Combined with her "wand" being a full scale car, and her power letting her take the others with her, she uses it to take them ''to'' the Sahara and out of the scenario entirely.
* IncestSubtext: Ivan has a habit of making incestual jokes and the like as BlackComedy, much to the disgust of the other members, to the point Curt threatens to kick him out of the Zoom call during "Siblings or Dating?" and later calling him disgusting for considering holding "auditions" for a sister in a thinly veiled attempt at hooking up. "Can You Survive [[VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin M.I.L.F.]]?" would see this combined with his {{railroading}} when he forces Kristine to play the role of Girlfriend, despite the fact ''all'' of them are interested in Mommy Mearest, Ivan instead seeming ''excited'' at the idea of it and stating they were pretty much going the route of ''Series/GameOfThrones''.
* InsaneTrollLogic: Part of Ivan's habit of {{railroading}} involves him using some... ''questionable'' logic behind his decisions, then rejecting any ideas the rest of the crew suggests instead while berating them for not seeing things his way. Whenever he tries ''offering'' that logic, the others predictably poke it full of holes, leading to him ignoring their complaints and moving on with the scenario. "Can You Survive ''Film/{{Scream}}''" best demonstrates this, as when he gives the layout of the mansion, he brushes off their criticism of the nonsensical design with "there's no logic to rich people", and when he later asks several questions so the crew can figure out the location of the Ghostface Killer, they call out how his answers have nonsensical logic, with him repeatedly asserting that ''they'' are wrong, ''his'' logic is correct, and that the comments will agree with ''him''. A quick look at the comments however will reveal that is not true.
-->'''@oddgirl2812:''' God Ivan's hints made me so mad, I can't tell at all what he means😂
-->'''@tobberias:''' Who let Ivan cook with these rooms💀
-->'''@[=dejEtack=]:''' Ivan: Gives hintes that can apply to multiple things. Also Ivan: How are you guys not getting these?!
* {{Jerkass}}: Played with. He ''is'' the most outwardly rude and least empathetic member of the group, and is regularly called out as an awful person even by the others standards. During scenarios where he isn't the narrator though, half the time his behavior comes as a result of the others shitting on him whenever he screws up, or blaming him for their own mistakes, most prevalently displayed in "Can You Survive Demon Slayer?".
* KickTheDog: While waiting in line for the Tower of Terror, the man in front of him collapses onto the ground. His response is to step over the body and ignore it even happening.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Soon after stepping ahead of a collapsed man in order to get further ahead in line, [[spoiler:he's attacked by the same man as a zombie and bitten on the arm.]]
* LethalChef: Only knows how to cook eggs and spam with any degree of success.
* TheLoad: Not necessarily as much as Chilly, but he's definitely not the most helpful member of the group.
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: Mixed with TheDogBitesBack in "Can You Survive Demon Slayer?". After he mistakenly tries healing the stunned Den thinking it would work like in ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}''[[labelnote:*]]He was thinking of the item "Full Restore", which both heals HP ''and'' removes status ailments.[[/labelnote]], Christian gets so pissed off he asks Den to buff him, then ''[[DisproportionateRetribution kills]]'' Ivan. As Den and Christian proceed to then screw with Ivan's corpse while Chilly tells his ghost to shut up, Curt decides to ThrowTheDogABone, having Ivan be revived as a demon after Den buffed his corpse a third time. Ivan decides to get some payback as a result, [[GoneHorriblyRight using the buffs Den gave him]] to ''kill'' Den, stomp on Christian's corpse, and then join the Demons, shortly after killing Chilly.
-->'''Den:''' Why would you attack me?! [[NeverMyFault I buffed you how many times you bitch?!]]
-->'''Ivan:''' You ''buffed Christian'' and you ''killed'' me!
* TheMole: Acts as one for [[spoiler:the Loudspeaker in ''"Can They Survive This High School?"'' and ''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"''.]]
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: It's a RunningGag that if given the opportunity or an excuse, Ivan ''will'' get naked for RuleOfFunny. He spends the majority of ''"Can You Survive Love Death & Robots?"'' completely naked, something the others didn't even realize was still happening at first until [[spoiler:he was the last one standing.]]
-->'''Den:''' Is Ivan still naked?
-->'''Ivan:''' YES!
-->'''Christian:''' Ivan's been naked the whole time.
-->'''Ivan:''' I haven't put on clothes at all.
-->'''Curt:''' [[LampshadeHanging How did they let]] [[SuddenlyShouting him in the Starbucks?!]]
* NoListeningSkills: Has a hard time paying attention to much of anything when people are speaking to him.
* NoSuchThingAsHR: {{Subverted|Trope}}. A RunningGag is that whenever Ivan ends up doing something particularly gross or disturbing, the other members will ask where HR is when they need them... only to remember ''Ivan'' is the head of HR.
* OutOfCharacter: Several of his scenarios often revolve around other members of Recreyo, mostly Curt, doing a certain action that serves as an inciting incident. Said members however would regularly call out that they would ''never'' do something like that and he's making them act OOC, while he just ignores them and keeps trying to push on. "Can You Survive Slender" for example has him state Curt, driving the rest of the crew and [=CircleToonsHD=] to a camping site, swerves out of the way of a dark figure in the middle of the road, causing them to crash into a tree and leaving them in the position to be in Slenderman's game. Curt however, as someone very GenreSavvy when it comes to horror movie tropes, makes clear he would ''never'' swerve out of the way, he'd just run the figure over and be done with it, with Ivan instead trying to talk over him and continue narrating.
* {{Railroading}}: Ivan's scenarios tend to usually have some form of this in them, particularly ones that involve the crew going on a trip of some kind since he's well aware they [[ThisIsGonnaSuck hate those setups]], resulting in him either ignoring their decisions to leave, giving them "choices" that end in the same result, or just flat out making decisions for them as part of the "narrative".
** In the numerous "Can You Survive ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys''" videos, despite all being fully aware about the plots of the game, wanting to quit their job as Security Guards, and even resorting to ''burning down the building'' at the end of each one, Ivan refuses to let them leave, and voids their complaints by claiming he is only a "pre-recorded message".
** In "Can You Survive ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}''", Curt, already [[GenreSavvy fully aware]] of what Ivan is planning, tries to [[SuicideAsComedy drown himself]] after the cruise they're on sinks to get himself out of the scenario before it can even begin. Ivan instead ignores this and says Curt woke up on the beach with the others, much to Curt's irritation. When Ivan tries to say they make a house and then skip through some of the crafting aspects of the game, the others all call him out on ignoring the games creativity aspect, since they wanted to build a bow, and how the comments are just gonna call him out on this. Ivan, visibly irritated, proceeds to rapidly list said details as being done before moving on to what he was originally saying.
--->'''Den:''' Did we make the crafting bench?
--->'''Chilly:''' Comments are gonna call you out on these technicalities you know!
--->'''Christian:''' Dude, yeah, it has to be realistic, dog!
--->'''Den:''' This has to be ''super technical''.
--->'''Curt:''' See usually, I'd just be like "We gotta give Ivan a break", but they are ''right'', they gonna get on our ass bro.
** In "Can You Survive a Stalker", multiple times the crew tries saying they want to use an option related to physically assaulting the stalker or simply leaving an area he's likely to be lurking, only for Ivan to ignore them and give them a set of "choices" they can select from.
** In "Can You Cure a Zombie Outbreak", despite the crew being [[GenreSavvy fully aware]] their patient is a zombie and opting to just ''kill it'' before it can risk biting them, Ivan refuses by stating it's [[BlatantLies a living patient]] and that they ''have'' to try helping him since they're doctors.
** In "Can You Survive Slender?", when he says they can check Discord to look at the map while {{handwav|e}}ing it by saying ''God'' gifted them temporary wifi, Curt tries to [[StatingTheSimpleSolution just call a tow truck]], only for Ivan to claim they can ''only'' check Discord. And when both Curt and [=CircleToonsHD=]!Christian individually try to just flat out leave, Ivan drags them back by force.
** By "WE BECAME MAGICAL GIRLS", the crew has gotten so fed up with this that they exploit the loopholes he inadvertently left in so they can cause the scenario to go completely OffTheRails, namely that he gave Kristine the ability to teleport everyone elsewhere with a 25% chance she'll end up in the Sahara Desert, and make it impossible for him to try and get the scenario back on the rails.
** "Can You Survive Sonic.exe" takes this to it's logical extreme as, aside from a ''single'' decision Curt gets to make, ''none'' of the other members get to have any input in the scenario he wrote, the scenario instead feeling more like a script-reading that the others are forced to be in while they can only commentate, Ivan spending just as much time narrating as he is yelling at the crew for their pointing out FridgeLogic or complaining about what he's making them do. This too is lampshaded when Curt decides to go along with Ivan's scenario in an over the top manner, only for Ivan to suddenly reveal he scripted things to have Curt act like he ''normally'' would.[[invoked]]
--->'''Den:''' Why did he choose it and then you just switched it again?
--->'''Curt:''' Yeah, the ''one'' time I go along, I'm like, "Ya know what, this is Ivan's scenario, I gotta go along with it."
--->'''Ivan:''' Cause [[SuddenlyShouting I know]] you want to turn off the game Curt! I had that as the only option cause I thought you would pick it!
--->'''Curt:''' No, I was tryna- I was trying to go along with your damn scenario!
--->'''Ivan:''' That's the ''one time'' I needed you to ''not'', and then you ''did''.
--->'''Christian:''' [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe Oh my goooood.]]
--->'''Curt:''' [[ThisIsGonnaSuck Oh gooood.]]
--->'''Den:''' [[CaptainObvious I get the sense that these scenarios are]] [[{{Understatement}} slightly scripted]].
** "Can You Survive Manga/OnePiece" initially seems to be free of his railroading, only for it to spring up at the very end. Right as Admiral Curt is all set to sink the flagship of the K-9 Pirates, he, [[BlatantLies entirely of his free will]], decides to abandon the Marines and join the K-9 pirates, everyone questioning ''why'' Curt would be made to do that when he was about to ''win'', and it being obvious Ivan did it to justify having more ''One Piece'' scenarios which wouldn't be possible if the Marines sank them, Ivan trying to {{handwave}} it by saying his name is actually "Curtis ''D.'' Richy"[[labelnote:*]]The Marines obey the World Nobles, who infamously hate those with the name "D." due to the belief in the "Will of D."[[/labelnote]], that he saw Captain Kristine's potential, and that he was always meant to be the Nami analogue.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Always talks big game, but rarely acts any better in the situations he's placed in than the rest of the group. In fact, more often than not, he acts [[TheDitz dumber]].
* SoleSurvivor: Of [[spoiler:''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"'', not counting the Loudspeaker.]]
* UncertainDoom: His fate is left unknown at the end of [[spoiler:''"Can They Escape A Crisis Bunker?"'']].
* WouldRatherSuffer: When faced with having to work with Chilly, he ''immediately'' opted for getting killed instead.

The laid back yet actually intelligent member.
----
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:After dying in ''"Can They Escape Jurassic Park?"'', he's revived alongside Barney in ''"Piloting a Giant Gundam"''.]]
* CaptainObvious: When confronted with the 3rd and final obstacle of the labyrinth, Christian finds that the common denominator between all the keys is that they're numbered...Thanks to the big numbers on the front of them.
* CasanovaWannabe: Played with. Christian often flirts with a lot of the characters in scenarios, and whether he succeeds or not tends to be based on what's funnier. So while he strikes out a lot, he's also succeeded a fair bit, managing to romance [[Manga/MyHeroAcademia Ibara Shiozaki]], sleep with [[Manga/JujutsuKaisen Kasumi Miwa]], and even date ''[[Series/BarneyAndFriends Bar]][[ExtremeOmnisexual ney]]''.
* EpicFail: In "Can You Survive ''Franchise/SilentHill''", while Curt, Ivan, and Chilly are trying to {{talk|ingTheMonsterToDeath}} down Farid as a Pyramid Head, Christian embraces MurderIsTheBestSolution and keeps trying to attack him... and fails ''four times in a row'', each represented by him comically failing to even scratch him. Only on the ''fifth'' try does he finally get a roll that hits... and it's at the point where the others have ''already'' calmed Farid down and the episode was ending, meaning what he "hit" was the title card!
* EqualOpportunityOffender: Christian is willing to mock anyone and everything whenever it comes up, ''especially'' if it's political, one episode having him mocking liberals, the next having him mocking conservatives. Like a lot of Christian's antics, it's ForTheLulz. Prime example occuring during "Would You Rather...?", where he tries goading Ivan into electrocuting the army veteran by stating he's pro-military, only to then immediately salute him when the vet opts to ''not'' shock Christian, ''then'' proceed to whip the veteran when presented the option to.
-->'''Chrisitian:''' [[BlatantLies I was always]] [[HypocriticalHumor on your side!]]
* ExtremeOmnisexual: At one point was in a relationship with ''[[Series/BarneyAndFriends Barney the dinosaur!]]''
* ForTheLulz: Most of his antics when not narrating are a result of him just screwing around for the lolz, especially when it's made clear he ''is'' genuinely smart, but will gladly act like TheDitz for the sake of comedy.
* GassyScare: After the island begins rumbling in ''"Can They Escape Jurassic Park?"'', he initially just tries to play it off as gas due to eating a lot. [[{{Inverted}} He's wrong]].
* GeniusDitz: Christian is regularly shown to be the smartest of the group, having both scholastic and psychological intelligence. However, he is just as likely to do stupid shit as the others, either deliberately for the sake of comedy or just from being rather lackadaisical overall. This is highlighted when he reveals what his GPA was in "Can You Survive The Impossible Quiz?", having made multiple references to it being poor in previous episodes, before finally revealing he had a ''1.9'' due to coasting through most of high school.[[labelnote:*]]For point of reference, the national average for GPA's in the United States is 3.0, with a 1.9 being roughly the equivalent of a C letter grade.[[/labelnote]]
* HotBlooded: Easily the most emotional and expressive of the Recreyo crew.
* HypocriticalHumor: Goes on a rant about how everyone in Recreyo are equals in ''"Can They Become Wizards?"''...Only to immediately say they're fine with Ivan dying.
* IChooseToStay: [[spoiler:Chooses to stay at Raptor Park alongside Barney as the volcano erupts, not wanting to abandon his "[[EveryoneCanSeeIt new friend]]".]]
* InterspeciesRomance: [[spoiler:With Barney.]]
* LoveConfession: [[spoiler:Gives one to Barney just as the volcano erupts.]]
* MightyGlacier: Christian gets saddled with this role in "Can You Survive ''VideoGame/{{Fallout}}''?" Since everyone's speed was determined via dice roll, Christian got saddled with a speed of ''2'', leaving him slower than even the mobs they were fighting, which is counterbalanced by having higher HP than the others via picking "Endurance" as his trait. When they later find a suit of PowerArmor that grants the wearer increased HP and Attack at the expense of 2 Speed, [[{{Troll}} Christian opts to wear it]], with Curt and Chilly pointing out that now Christian won't be able to move, and the animation giving him devil horns and a tail to [[ForTheLulz highlight his intentions]]. This ends up screwing him over as while he has the power to actually ''damage'' the Deathclaw, he can't dodge it's attacks, and it's attacks take priority over his, so he's left yelling about how he can't move [[spoiler:and is the first one taken out]]. Ivan at one point compares Christian to a "statue with a gun" as a result.
-->'''Chilly:''' Does Christian even have the ability to dodge, he can't move!
-->'''Curt:''' So ''shoot'' it!
-->'''Christian:''' I can't move!
* AMoltenDateWithDeath: His fate at the end of [[spoiler:''"Can They Escape Jurassic Park?"''.]]
* OfficialCouple: [[spoiler:With Barney.]]
* OnlyFriend: To Barney, due to being the only member of Recreyo not intimidated by him in any way. [[spoiler:This only makes having to kill him that much harder on Christian.]]
* OverlyLongGag: Christian tends to repeat gags ad nauseum when he find one that works, going through the entire cycle of being funny, to overused, looping back around to being funny again.
* ThePollyanna: Tends to verge more toward positivity than the others, generally being a positive, friendly-ish force.
* PowerEchoes: Occasionally will unleash a loud, echoing voice to fully get across his excitement, fear, anger, or anything else he's feeling, which only adds to his overall expressiveness.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Shows up without explanation in ''"Can They Escape Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory?"'', and has just sorta stuck around ever since. Acknowledged in their April fools 2023 video where they officially introduce Christian as a member of Recreyo saying they should have done it after he showed up.
* SamuraiPonytail: He initially wore his hair up in one. At some point before "What [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender Bender]] Are You?" he stopped doing so in favor of wearing it loose, though some animations depicted him with it long after that.
* SelfInflictedHell: [[spoiler:His final fate from ''"Can They Become Wizards?"''.]]
* TheSixthRanger: Becomes a member of the main group about five to six episodes into the series.
* SmarterThanYouLook: He's the self-sabotaging comic relief who also happens to be one of the smartest members of the group. And no, that's not just him coming off as smart compared to [[TheDitz nearly everyone else]]. Best shown in ''"Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?"'', where he gets every onscreen question right, including several obscure questions that nobody else is even able to guess. Even ''[[TheSmartGuy Curt]]'' doesn't get as many questions right as he does.
* TheStoner: On the few occasions recreational drug use comes up, Christian more often than not is the one it relates to, specifically marijuana use. Most of the time it's independent of the scenarios themselves, with one notable exception: "Can You Survive ''Film/FinalDestination''?" has Christian consume a batch of edibles while waiting for the plane to take off, so while Curt and Chilly are freaking out wanting off of the plane after realizing what Den is planning, and Ivan is acting blase overall up until the plane ''explodes'', Christian is too busy getting high off his ass. Den has to actually kick him off the plane herself when the others voluntarily leave due to him being high still.
-->'''Christian:''' Yo, I'm not gonna lie. This edible kicking in ''way'' too fucking early dude! We gotta get the ''fuck'' outta here man!
-->''(later)''
-->'''Curt:''' None of us know how to do this! Ivan's naked, Christian's high as hell, Chilly's ''[[TheLoad Chilly]]''! (Chilly's indignant yell can be heard in the background) We're done for bro!
-->'''Christian:''' Yo, why am ''I'' high but this plane ''low as shit'', I mean come on!
-->'''Curt:''' Christian's high but the plane falling!
-->'''Den:''' Christian's going ''higher'' in the sky.
* SuicideAsComedy: A RunningGag in the ''Re:Zero'' scenarios is his trying to off himself repeatedly as a means of escaping the time loop, each time in more ridiculous ways. It reaches the point that the others have to tie him up and drag him along just so they can continue the scenario.
* TheSnackIsMoreInteresting: Christian has a habit of focusing on food more than on the scenario itself, largely for the RuleOfFunny.
** Christian manages to avoid the events of "Can They Survive Rick and Morty" by opting to get drunk at a bar rather than get involved with the scenario, showing up at the very end wondering what the hell happened.[[labelnote:*]]He's still involved in the scenario itself as he voices Ronnie Carnivora Morp.[[/labelnote]]
** In "Can They Survive Home Sweet Home", when everyone is selecting weapons to fight the monster currently trying to maul Ivan, he chooses the mystery box. When he sees that it's contents are a can of Red Bull and instant Pancit Canton, he proceeds to ignore Ivan and runs to a corner of the room so he can eat in peace.
--->'''Ivan:''' Christian's clawing at a box of noodles on the other side of the apartment, this fucking sucks! Can someone save me please?!
** During "Can They Survive Batman", he was more focused on the variety of buffet food than the fact he was being held hostage with only Ivan to save him. [[spoiler:This gets him killed by Curt once the latter becomes Two-Face, since he's pissed Christian ate ''all'' of the food.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: The [=McRib=] from UsefulNotes/McDonalds.

The new member following Chilly's departure.
----
* AnimalMotifs: Dogs. She's very hyperactive, [[DogsAreDumb dumb]], and excitable, is seen by herself and others as "cute", and will occasionally start barking for RuleOfFunny.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite being the most batshit insane member of the group, she's also the most ''successful'' of the group in terms of analytics. "What [=YouTubers=] Don't Tell You." highlights this by having Den list out the analytics of everyone in the ensemble, with Kristine having a lucrative career as both a voice actress, [=VTuber=], and [=TikTok=] user, having 1.9 ''Million'' Followers and over 35 Million Likes to her name.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: She stands out amidst the group by being crazy and dumb even by ''their'' standards, regularly saying random thoughts, getting distracted by innocuous things, and acting more like a little kid. She likewise is shown to be rather clueless on basic topics, like nor knowing what a "mogul" is.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Kristine is one to Chilly. While both could be rather upbeat and cause negative reactions in the rest of the crew with their behavior, Chilly was largely [[TheFriendNobodyLikes considered annoying]] and could be just as amoral as the rest of the crew, whereas Kristine's behavior generates [[ScreamingAtSquick gross-outs]] or bemusement at worst and is comparatively more moral than the rest of the crew. This is highlighted by their relationships with Curt: Chilly and Curt were SitcomArchNemesis, the two arguing constantly and trying to kill each other, while Kristine and Curt are VitriolicBestBuds, fighting each other just as much as they get along with each other.
* DumbIsGood: Kristine is shown to be the most unambiguously good-natured member of the Recreyo crew, her only negative nature aspect being she's willing to laugh at others suffering. She's also the ''dumbest'' of the group, to the point it's a RunningGag that her head is completely empty, and she regularly ends up saying the most inane of things with a straight face.
* DumbassHasAPoint: In "Can You Survive ''Scream''?", when Ivan says the master bedroom is the room where you'd most be able to relax and feel like new, Kristine points out that, as ''she's'' the one answering Ghostface's calls, shouldn't the answer be ''her'' room? The others treat this is just Kristine being an idiot again, but per the rules of ''Scream'', Kristine pretty much is in the position of the FinalGirl by answering the calls of the Ghostface Killer while her parents are away, meaning the answers should specifically pertain to ''her'' in the scenario, not in general like Ivan had been asking. And since her ''parents'' are the ones with the master bedroom in the scenario, why would she feel more relaxed and refreshed in ''their'' room rather than her ''own'' room?
* EveryoneHasStandards: She may use gross-out humor like swallowing spitballs fired at her mid-flight, but she ''does'' have limits, and is just as likely to {{scream|ingAtSquick}} over things like Christian "pleasuring" himself or the constant talk of "megalomeat". And while she ''is'' an agent of chaos and normally up for any scenario even if the others aren't, not even ''she'' can bear dealing with "WE BECAME MAGICAL GIRLS", so when Ivan gives her the power to teleport, she [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere grabs everyone and bolts]], ending the scenario prematurely rather than let Ivan keep {{railroading}} them.
* FakeGuestStar: In her first appearance, she was a ''legitimate'' guest star, Curt even saying as much after asking her to say "Recreyo, out!" by prefacing it with guest stars being allowed to say it when they show up. Afterwards, she began infrequently joining the rest of Recreyo in scenarios even when other guest stars showed up, but never actually gets referred to as an official member until April 1st.
* GenkiGirl: She's the happiest of the group on most occasions, keeping an upbeat attitude even when arguing, and at worst only gets frustrated rather than angry.
* GlobalIgnorance: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Kristine lives in Canada unlike the rest of Recreyo who live in the USA, and she regularly expresses a lack of knowledge about America if not outright fear at some of the things the others describe. This in turn helps retroactively explain her not knowing the state of New York has a capitol, since unlike the rest of the crew, she ''doesn't'' live there.
* GratuitousJapanese: She occasionally peppers her speech with Japanese, a holdover from her Platform/TikTok channel where she occasionally does impressions of anime characters.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: PlayedForLaughs mother variant in "Can You Survive M.I.L.F.? | ''Friday Night Funkin'''". Ivan casts Kristine in the role of "Girlfriend" in that episode, and the other Recreyo members, most specifically Curt, keep expressing attraction to Mommy Mearest, but keep phrasing it as wanting to "Smash Kristine's Mom". This sends Kristine into a protective mode over mistakenly thinking they're talking about her ''actual'' mom, as she tells them to stay the hell away from her mom despite her ''also'' showing a shared attraction in Mommy Mearest.
-->'''Curt:''' I'm trying to smash Kristine's mom! Hurry!
-->'''Kristine:''' Don't go anywhere ''near'' my mom!
* NaiveNewcomer: As the newest member of the group, and having not watched prior episodes, she's largely blind to the existing elements of the crew and the reasons why they'd be anxious about some scenarios. Ivan exploits this and her overall chaotic nature when he needs to {{railroad|ing}} the scenario and the others refuse to budge, using her decisions to influence the entire scenario.
* NoodleImplements: In "We Found a Secret in this Cabin..", during a game of Truth or Dare, Den dares Kristine to reveal a secret she hasn't told anyone. She ''does'' reveal one, but is worried about whether or not they can put it in the video due to content reasons, so while the rest of the crew hear her story, the majority of it is CensoredForComedy via blurred scenes. The scenes ''can'' be made out partially, consisting of what appears to be people dancing, someone pole dancing, and Kristine vomiting in the toilet. The others are left horrified and/or disgusted by what they hear.
* RunningGag: Kristine either barking like a dog or acting like one.
* SadClown: Starting with "DON'T GOOGLE THIS IN 7 YEARS", it's made clear that Kristine, despite being very peppy and a GenkiGirl... is also very negative and nihilistic. Her main desire should she be allowed to travel seven years into the future is to figure out ''how'', not ''if'', she died since she rather not be forced to work anymore, her main advice as a content creator is that nothing matters and learn how to be more emotionally detached, she was once so burnt out that she hated even waking up before she eventually realized to stop giving a shit, and she openly admits that if given the opportunity to be reincarnated after death she'd want to be reborn as ''Harambe'' so she could be killed again. The rest of Recreyo actually becomes concerned for her hearing her so nihilistic as a result.
-->'''Curt:''' It's crazy because Kristine is so cheery, "Haha, nothing matters!"
* SignatureHeadgear: Is always drawn with two flowers that hold up her bangs at each side.
* SuccessThroughInsanity: Kristine due to her status of {{cloudcuckoolander}} was chosen by the group to befuddle Recreyo-Chan, a multiversal entity who has been watching the Recreyo crew for a long time and was in the role of the host, in order for them to rescue Curt. Kristine was able to accomplish this by telling a story so disturbing and baffling that it stunned Recreyo-Chan long enough for the others to rescue Curt and gain enough power to defeat her.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: {{Subverted|Trope}}. On a surface level, Kristine has many similarities to Chilly, to the point that she ends up taking on some of the narrative roles Chilly had in scenarios she had been in that received continuations after her departure. Such examples including Kristine being a replacement D-Class Agent InUniverse, and taking on the role of Aoi Asahina in the ''Danganronpa'' scenarios. The similarities tend to be only [[ContrastingSequelMainCharacter superficial]] however, with Christine bringing her own brand of chaos to the mix and having different reactions than Chilly did. One such example being their first meetings with Sakura Ogami in the ''Danganronpa'' scenarios, as while Chilly quickly became fond of Sakura after some initial confusion, Kristine was outright terrified by Sakura.
* TooSpicyForYogSothoth:
** While the rest of Recreyo can be idiotic, insane, and disturbing, they all balk at the lengths ''Kristine'' can go to, saying some of the most ''random'' of things with a straight face while acting like a loonatic, occasionally leaving the rest of the crew in a StunnedSilence. It's to the point Curt has even admitted to being ''scared'' of her, the accompanying visual being a group of people running away in fright as she rides a ''tricycle''.
--->'''Den:''' Are we ''sure'' that [the people of Maiden Island]'re not just scared of Kristine?
--->'''Curt:''' ''I'm'' scared of Kristine! I get it!
--->'''Kristine:''' There's nothing to be afraid of Curt, I'm your best friend.
** This is {{invoked|Trope}} by the others when discussing "ROKO'S BASILISK". The hypothetical states that the ArtificialIntelligence would punish anyone that ''knew'' it existed but ''didn't'' support it, and could read the minds of everyone. Everyone else agrees though that Kristine's mind is so empty and she is ''such'' a {{cloudcuckoolander}}, not only would she forget it existed entirely, the A.I. wouldn't even be able to read her mess of a mind in the first place!
--->'''Christian:''' Roko's Basilisk be like: "Damn!"
--->'''Curt:''' (As Roko's Basilisk staring at an unreactive Kristine) Can't get a read!

* AnimalEaredHeadband: Specifically one with panda ears. [[ButtMonkey Her friends think this makes her a furry]].
* AnimalMotif: Pandas. She consistently wears a panda-themed hat, and most of the changes or characters she plays as have some panda theme to them, subtly or otherwise.
* AskAStupidQuestion: Had a very...Unique question regarding the locker rooms.
--> '''Chilly:''' Wait, is girl's locker room separate from the boy's locker room or is it just the locker room.
--> ''(Beat)''
--> '''The Loudspeaker:''' ...Chilly, you really are NOT that smart. Do you ''typically'' change with the boys, Chilly?
* ButNowIMustGo: Chilly ultimately decides to leave the group in September of 2022, citing a desire to pursue personal projects and coming to the mutual decision with the rest of the group she can't commit to Recreyo anymore. All indications are that her departure was amicable however.
* ButtMonkey: Generally seen as useless by the rest of Recreyo, leading to her regularly suffering at the hands of them, animals, monsters, ghosts, demons, and more, on a fairly consistent basis, even compared to the rest of the team.
* CatchPhrase: She opens almost every episode she hosts with some variant of "Hello, [[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch bitches!]]", much to Curt's dismay. "Help!" also count in many videos. She tried declaring her new catchphrase is "Thank You" in ''"Can you survive Twilight?''", but it only lasted that episode.
** For the ''Franchise/{{Danganronpa}}'' videos, she would say "Get. your. shit. together!" while punctuating each word with a clap.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: {{Play|ingWithATrope}}ed with. While two videos were done to explain her departure, as well as a farewell message at the end of her final video, "Hot One", any scenario that she had been part of originally that received new installments, such as ''Franchise/HarryPotter''[[labelnote:*]]Where she joined the Slytherin House alongside Ivan and Den[[/labelnote]], ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia''[[labelnote:*]]Where she was one of four students participating in the Sports Festival under Nezu's direction[[/labelnote]], and the ''Website/SCPFoundation''[[labelnote:*]]Where she, along with Ivan, Den, and Christian, were forced to act as D-Class Agents of the Foundation to earn their freedom[[/labelnote]], would omit any mention of her involvement, instead having a GuestStarPartyMember or Kristine take her place.[[labelnote:*]]Haminations acting as a Hufflepuff house member, Pokimane leading the fourth team of Hero Class students, and Kristine being a D-Class Agent suffering LaserGuidedAmnesia assigned to the group[[/labelnote]] Similarly, any references to older videos would omit any deliberate reference to Chilly's involvement in them on the part of the team, with any actual references being made by the animators either reusing footage from those episodes, or making a FreezeFrameBonus cameo, and the playlist comprised of the scenarios she hosted was deleted following her departure.
* CowardlyLion: When faced with reasonable circumstances that she can win, she'll...Send someone else in to handle it instead.
* TheDitherer: When dealing with any sort of stress, Chilly quickly devolves into a stuttering mess who can't make her mind up on anything, ''especially'' when it could potentially lead to her demise.
* DivineParentage: [[spoiler:A descendent of the Komodo bloodline, an ancient clan of beast tamers. This allows her to control the raptors that attack her. Not crocodiles though.]]
* TheDogBitesBack: The entirety of ''"Can They Survive a Demonic Possession?"'' seemed specifically designed for Chilly to get back at the rest of the team for their poor treatment of her. [[spoiler: It ends with everyone dying except her.]]
* GoodWithNumbers: Surprisingly ''really'' good at math, to a point of [[spoiler:effortlessly solving the final trial of ''"Can They Escape Virtual Reality?"'', a feat which leads everyone to think she [[CheatersNeverProsper must have cheated]]]].
* TheLoad: Downplayed. Chilly has her moments, but when it comes to puzzles or challenges involving the whole group, Chilly either guesses wrong or doesn't contribute to the solution.
** It's lampshaded by Christian in ''"Can They Survive Final Fantasy?"'', where neither Chilly nor her stuffed animal weapon do a single thing throughout the episode. Christian is utterly incredulous when [[spoiler: the Recreyo crew decides to leave him for dead instead of her, despite Christian being the most useful (if trigger-happy) member throughout the episode]].
--->'''Christian:''' What did Chilly's stuffed animal ''do'' this whole episode?!
* TheMillstone: Her status as TheLoad gets cranked up to this in ''"Can They Beat the Alien Impostor?"'', where she constantly accuses everyone of being the impostor ''except for the actual impostor'' ([[spoiler: Den]]), and completely fails to interpret the hints when [[spoiler: Christian reveals that he knows who it is]] (though, to be fair, Curt also misinterprets the hints). At one point Chilly manages to mess up navigating the ship so badly that [[spoiler: she gets Curt killed without Den doing a single thing to manipulate her decision-making]]. By the end, [[spoiler: when she's the SoleSurvivor against Den, Christian and Curt are so pissed at her incompetence that they outright start [[RootingForTheEmpire rooting for Den]]]]. Which makes it all the more awesome/baffling [[spoiler: when she somehow ''wins'']].
* MustHaveCaffeine: Has a ''very'' well-documented Starbucks addiction.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Of ''all'' people, she spends the majority of ''"Can They Escape A Crisis Bunker?"'' being the most aggressive of the group, actively trying to discover who the mysterious figure is so they can escape the bunker.
* PhysicalGod: [[spoiler:To the raptor clan of Raptor Park.]]
* TheRightHandOfDoom: [[spoiler:{{Downplayed}}, but still present with her new reptile arm in ''"Can They Escape Jurassic Park?"'' and ''"Piloting a Giant Gundam"''.]]
* SkewedPriorities: While in the ZombieApocalypse, upon coming across a van, the ''first'' thing she worries about is whether or not it's [[CreepyStalkerVan white]].
* SoleSurvivor: [[spoiler: In ''"Can They Survive Sweet Home?"'', ironically as a result of being voted out of the group. As the others point out, it won't last long, since she's surrounded by monsters in a small area and slowly turning into a monster herself. Chilly still celebrates as if she's won, even though it's clear that she really hasn't.]]
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: While all of Recreyo are no stranger to getting killed in scenarios, Chilly is the one killed most often, to the point she's been killed in her ''own'' scenarios, something the others are quick to {{lampshade|Hanging}}.
* ThirdEye: [[spoiler:Unlocks one upon becoming a God to the raptors.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteDrink: Her love of [[MustHaveCaffeine Starbucks]] is well documented on her own channel, and quite a few jokes reference that here. She also has a large fondness for cheese, with several scenarios having the basis of the crew's money issues stemming from Chilly wasting money on fancy cheese.
-->'''Chilly:''' I'm ''broke'' after spending all my money on ''cheese''.

* AdaptationDistillation: Greg as [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2012 Michelangelo]] says "Cowabunga", despite Greg's version of the character using "Booyakasha" as his {{catchphrase}}, and saying the former is "too old school" when Mondo Gecko uses it as his {{catchphrase}}.
* AdaptationalSuperPowerChange: Both Tara and Greg exploit a LoopholeAbuse by using a single powerset that lets them access all their ''other'' power sets, each power being an ActorAllusion to roles they've played, though doing so requires taking a few liberties with said single powers.
** Tara uses an [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 Omnitrix]] like 10-Year-Old Benjamin "Ben" Tennyson, which was a DNA repository meant for cataloguing and documenting various Alien DNA. Of the forms Tara used though, the only ones that could considered "Alien" were [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003 Raven of Azaroth]], due to being half-demon via Trigon, and [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Princess Twilight Sparkle]], an Equestrian Princess. The other forms used, [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Bubbles]], [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddparents Timmy Turner]], and [[ComicBook/HarleyQuinn Harleen "Harley Quinn" Quinzel]], are all human, and the Omnitrix would only have ''one'' Human DNA sample in it.
** Greg uses the {{shapeshift|er}}ing powers of [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003 Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan]], who could turn into any animal he's seen before, even if said animal wasn't from Earth. While that works for his becoming [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2012 Michelangelo]] since Mikey is a mutated turtle, he also uses it to become [[WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce Kevin Ethan Levin]], who is, [[WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse despite initially believed to be half-alien]], a mutant ''human''.
* DungFu: In the tournament, when Greg fights against [[spoiler:Tara in the Finals]], his attack is to fling radioactive poop as monkey-Beast Boy.
* LoopholeAbuse: Technically speaking, both were only supposed to have one set of powers for the tournament. Both however use more [[AdaptationalSuperPowerChange liberal versions]] of ''one'' characters power to access ''all'' of their characters. Tara uses an [[WesternAnimation/Ben10 Omnitrix]] that allows her to transform into her various characters, while Greg uses [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003 Beast Boy's]] powers to turn into other animals he's voiced ''and'' Kevin Levin.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loudspeaker.png]]
-> ''"I have taken over your elite school, just to test how smart you really are..."''
A mysterious voice coming over the loudspeaker of the elite school that acts as the setting of ''"Can They Survive This High School?"'', who kills all the students with the exception of Chilly, Den, and Ivan, before forcing them through a trial of his design to see if they're as smart as they seem, while also employing one of them as his personal mole.
----
* AuthorAvatar: For Curt.
* BigBrotherIsWatching: Is paying attention to the group throughout both episodes, watching their progress and analyzing their behavior.
* GreaterScopeVillain: While the traitor is the actual BigBad of the episodes, the Loudspeaker (or more accurately, the person using it) is the one who put the group into the game in the first place.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Gets no comeuppance for his actions regarding the senseless murder of an entire school.]]
* MysteriousEmployer: Of the traitor, [[spoiler:Ivan]].
* OnlySaneMan: Is left utterly ''baffled'' by the levels of stupidity leveled at him by Chilly and Ivan.
* PetTheDog: Gives the group a chance to survive the game by giving each of them a key word or phrase to help lead them to the areas containing the antidotes. {{Inverted}} in that he also employed one of them as his traitor to ''sabotage'' these very phrases.
* TheSociopath: More than willing to kill an entire school's worth of people just to force a DeadlyGame onto the three smartest students at said school.
* WouldHurtAChild: Poisons an entire ''school'' of kids, leaving only three survivors, who he then forces into a game of his design.

----
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:Ultimately gets away with everything and wins.]]
* BigBad: Of ''"Can They Survive This High School?"'' and ''"Can They Guess The Traitor?"'', with the primary conflict being stirred by the mole giving the others false information to lead them off course.
* DominoMask: Wears one in the initial explanation of how the Saboteur works.
* FaceHeelTurn: Prior to the events of the episodes, they were just like any other student. Now, they're no better than the person employing them, simply on account of intentionally trying to sabotage their friend's efforts.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Besides [[OnlyAFleshWound getting stabbed]] by Den, they ultimately walk away scot-free.]]
* TheMole: Working for the Loudspeaker, and hides among the group, acting like their ally throughout the game.
* OnlyAFleshWound: [[spoiler:Right after being revealed as Ivan, Den stabs him through the chest, which he shrugs off without much difficulty afterward.]]
* SecretIdentity: [[spoiler:Ivan]].
* TokenEvilTeammate: Essentially their role in the group.
* WalkingSpoiler: Considering their role in the videos is intended as a way of stirring distrust within the group, ''and'' that their true identity is one of the group, actually discussing them to any degree will almost undoubtedly bring up who they really are.

* FriendlyEnemy: Despite being the boss of the second trial, he doesn't seem to have any sort of animosity toward the group, [[spoiler:and has no issue showing them the exit once they found the correct answer to the puzzle]].
* GracefulLoser: [[spoiler:Once the group discovers the correct answer to the trial, he allows them to exit without any fuss.]]
* OneHitKill: Speaking to him acts as this for the group.
* PuzzleBoss: Acts as the primary obstacle for the second room of the Tower of Power.
* TheQuietOne: Remains completely silent throughout the trial, and nobody in the group is allowed to communicate with him since it'll kill them instantly.

The FinalBoss of the Tower of Power; a hooded, mysterious man who needs exactly four gallons of water in order to live, and will die if given any more or less than that.
----
* CheatersNeverProsper: [[spoiler:When Chilly solves the problem, Ivan quickly calls her out as having cheated to have solved it. Turns out she's just GoodWithNumbers.]]
* FinalBoss: The centerpiece of the final trial of the tower.
* HealItWithWater: [[spoiler:Is totally fine after consuming the water given to him by the group.]]
* NoSuchThingAsDehydration: {{Inverted}}; he's dying specifically because he hasn't had water and needs exactly four gallons of it in order to live.

* CharacterDeath: Once Recreyo solves the puzzle, the pair melt away into a puddle of sludge.
* ConsummateLiar: The brother on the right.
* KnightsAndKnaves: The basis of their puzzle; one of them tells the truth, one tells lies, and there is only one door that allows the group to escape the room unscathed, AND they can only ask them one question.

The primary obstacle of the second set of rooms, being four doors, each guarded by a different enemy. [[spoiler: The first door was the correct option, as the lion had long died of starvation.]]
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Exactly ''how'' did Den meet these people? She claims over drinks, Christian claims from Tinder.
* ChessWithDeath: In order to survive door #4, you need to play a game of dice with the grim reaper. Roll too low, and the party would lose a player.
* DeniedFoodAsPunishment: The lion was purposefully starved for two weeks for the sake of the puzzle. [[spoiler:Which is why it starved to death.]]
* NothingButSkinAndBones: [[spoiler:By the time Recreyo meets the lion, its been reduced down to so little that they can make out its bones.]]

* DemotedToExtra: Given a far smaller role in ''"Can They Survive A Zombie Apocalypse?"''
* OutOfFocus: Largely fall into the background more and more as the episode goes on, in exchange for bickering between Recreyo and their encounters with other survivors.

* {{Jerkass}}: Easily the most outwardly rude of the neighbors, and has a history of trying to get Recreyo evicted from their home.
* MistakenForRacist: When she "greets" the Recreyo crew with the above quote, Ivan immediately asks if she's racist, given all three members of the crew she meets are of non-Caucasian descent (Ivan and Den are Filipino; Chilly is Jordanian). [[ThatCameOutWrong Curt hastily clarifies that she was expressing disdain for Youtubers]].

* BaitAndSwitch: They're initially portrayed as the villain of the episode, [[spoiler:[[ItMakesSenseInContext but after decreeing Chilly as their new God]], they become Recreyo's allies for the remainder of the episode, with the conflict instead coming from the group's attempts to escape Raptor Park as the volcano nearby begins to erupt]].

* InformedSpecies: Sure, they may ''look'' like what we generally ''associate'' with raptors, but they're more like mini-Godzillas or the deinonychus species than anything truly raptor-related.

Resident hype-man and raptor expert of Raptor Park. [[WhatExactlyIsHisJob Maybe]].
----
* AtrociousAlias: As is noted by Recreyo themselves, his name is so agonizingly stupid, it's incredibly hard to take him even remotely seriously.
* BystanderSyndrome: Entirely fine with the crowd attempting to sacrifice Chilly, allowing himself to be overpowered by them in order to not take action.
* CarpetOfVirility: Has one underneath his work outfit.
* {{Jerkass}}: Has no problem sacrificing Chilly in order to appease the crowd.
* KarmaHoudini: Survives the events of Raptor Park, suffering no sort of punishment for allowing the crowd to try and sacrifice Chilly.
* WhatExactlyIsHisJob: It's never made all that clear what his ''actual'' job is. While he has wrangler in the name, it's never really shown on-screen to mean much of anything, and every step of the way he seems more like an announcer to hype a crowd up than anything.

!!The SCP Foundation

[[folder:The Foundation]]
[[Website/SCPFoundation An organization devoted to protecting the world from various anomalies while keeping them in the dark]], they cross paths with the Recreyo crew when all but Curt awaken in a field with eighteen corpses, B-Class Agent Curt Richy drafting them as D-Class Agents and [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLu1vtLRdJFOChmhwujbD2okfQE8X7RAJP having them encounter various SCP's.]]
----
* MauveShirt: D-Class Agents are normally a RedShirtArmy that The Foundation uses when in need of expendable resources. The Recreyo crew meanwhile have managed to survive encounters with multiple SCP's, but are ''not'' immune from being killed, as [[spoiler:Den being killed by SCP-173]] can attest. And unlike most scenarios that have the crew get an UnexplainedRecovery, these deaths ''stick'', [[spoiler:Den]] needing to be brought BackFromTheDead to be in the next scenario.
* NoodleIncident:
** The exact incident that caused The Foundation to apprehend Recreyo sans Curt is this, as none of the crew [[LaserGuidedAmnesia remember anything]], and Curt only tells them they're on Death Row after being found in a field with eighteen corpses.
** How and why [=GetMadz=] ended up a D-Class Agent is unknown, and likely won't be elaborated on considering [[spoiler:his death at the hands of SCP-096]].
** InUniverse, the period between "Can You Survive The SCP | ''The Shy Guy''" and "Can You Survive The SCP | ''The Sculpture''" saw the D-Class Agents facing several other SCP's off-screen, Ivan specifically mentioning SCP-2901/"The Mothman" and SCP-5533/"The Loch Ness Monster". It's {{implied|Trope}} this is the InUniverse reasoning for Chilly's absence, that she was KilledOffscreen during one of these encounters.[[labelnote:*]]The out of universe reasoning of course being Chilly's departure from Recreyo, with her subjected to ChuckCunninghamSyndrome regarding her roles afterwards.[[/labelnote]]
** How exactly Kristine ended up a D-Class Agent is unknown, just that she's been with the Foundation for several years, but suffered from anterograde amnesia until joining the Recreyo crew.
* ShootTheDog: Their modus operandi: contain and terminate anything that the public doesn't need to know. Best exemplified when Curt executes one of the survivors of SCP-3008 that managed to claw their way out of the building, as they can't bring any new people out of the building.
* WeHaveReserves: D-Class Agents are treated as expendable due to being comprised of death row criminals and those the Foundation are trying to keep quiet. [[TheChewToy So naturally that's what Recreyo end up as.]]
[[/folder]]
[[folder:The Observer]]
A MysteriousWatcher tied to the incident pertaining to SCP-173, they have an unknown interest in the D-Class Recreyo Agents, and offered their aide in trying to contain it.
----
* AmbiguouslyRelated: It's unclear if they have any relation to the breach that allowed SCP-173 to be an issue in the first place.
* CrypticallyUnhelpfulAnswer: Their "help" largely consists of cryptic riddles that the Recreyo crew need to actually decipher to be anything useful. This being [[TheDitz Recreyo]] however, they just end up struggling with each hint and get pissed off instead.
* MysteriousWatcher: Who they are and what their goals are remain unknown, just that they are interested in the D-Class Recreyo Agents enough to lend their support in containing SCP-173. Curt has no idea who they are either and is looking in to it as a result, suggesting they aren't part of The Foundation.
[[/folder]]
!!!SCP's
[[folder:SCP-3008]]
!!The Infinite Ikea
A seemingly ordinary Ikea, this SCP has been isolated by The Foundation outside of being used for testing. Anyone who enters the SCP and fails to leave before "closing time" will find themselves trapped in there until "opening time", now an infinite maze staffed by [[TheBlank faceless monsters]] that will kill anyone walking around after "store hours".
----
* AdaptationDeviation: Officially, this SCP ''has'' had 14 survivors manage to escape it's confines, resulting in The Foundation giving them anesthetics and releasing them back to the public, with one incident having a would-be survivor being caught and killed by the only known instance of one of the workers leaving the SCP, said worker quickly being gunned down by Foundation Agents. Here, when a survivor manages to claw his way out after being left behind by the Recreyo crew, albeit with a worker acting as TheDragalong, Curt {{shoot|TheDog}}s him dead without a second thought.
* EndlessCorridor: This SCP ostensibly looks like an ordinary Ikea, but upon entering the building, one will find the inside to be an endless maze completely divorced from the exterior dimensions of the building itself.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:SCP-096]]
!!The "Shy Guy"
A disproportionately-proportioned humanoid figure kept contained in the Facility, it normally remains docile unless someone sees it's face, upon which it enters an UnstoppableRage and goes to kill whoever saw it.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: SCP-096 is normally TheJuggernaut, breaking through anyone and everything in it's relentless pursuit of whoever saw it's face, to the point anyone who does [[YouAreAlreadyDead is considered living on borrowed time]]. Here, even though the entire crew saw it's face and it began pursuing Ivan, the Foundation manages to recontain it before it can kill any of them, and is seemingly pacified.
* MeaningfulName: Normally it's extremely docile and content remaining on it's own, but will enter a psychotic rage if anyone dares to look at it's face, shortly after returning to it's docile state once whoever saw it is dead. The Foundation thus began calling it the "Shy Guy".
* UnstoppableRage: If anyone sees it's face, it enters a berserker rage and chases after them until it can kill it's target.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:SCP-173]]
!!The Sculpture
A strange statue contained at The Facility, it normally remains unmoving provided someone has eyes on it. Should no one be observing it however, it moves at a rapid pace and systematically begins snapping the necks of those around it.
----
* CantMoveWhileBeingWatched: It can't move at all so long as it has eyes on it, which The Foundation normally takes care of by having Agents monitoring it round the clock. Unfortunately, a breach at The Facility causing a black-out allows it to kill the two agents monitoring it while the Recreyo crew are meant to be cleaning it's pen, forcing them to keep an eye on it while also searching for power cells to reenable the power grid.
* HeroKiller: It successfully manages to kill one of the D-Class Recreyo Agents as a result of their taking their eyes off it, snapping [[spoiler:Den's]] neck.
* NeckSnap: It's preferred method of killing it's victims, managing to snap the necks of the two agents initially tasked with monitoring it once the power goes out, and [[spoiler:Den's]] neck when the Recreyo crew lose track of it.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:SCP-049]]
!![[Characters/SCPFoundationSCPs001To999 Plague Doctor]]
A humanoid resembling a Medieval Plague Doctor obsessed with finding a cure for "the Pestilence", it is normally rather cordial and cooperative with the Foundation. So it becomes a problem when [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness it suddenly stages a hostile takeover and targets Recreyo.]]
----
* NotMeThisTime: Everyone is initially under the assumption the [[BackFromTheDead revived]] [[spoiler:Den]] is his work, since one of his abilities allows those he's "cured" to be brought back as his zombie thralls. He makes clear though he ''wasn't'' responsible, their revival if anything being one of the reasons he's after Recreyo, having been told by someone they hold the cure to "the Pestilence".
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: He's normally AffablyEvil and cooperative with The Foundation, seeing himself as a force for good just trying to find a cure for "the Pestilence". So when he ends up going on a rampage throughout the facility, it causes quite a bit of concern as to what changed. The D-Class Recreyo Agents confrontation with him makes clear his rampage came from the belief ''they'' held the cure, and [[KnightTemplar stopping at nothing to get to them]], only to realize he had been manipulated the entire time.
* UnwittingPawn: It's all but said he was merely a pawn of Recreyo-chan in her attempt at staging a HostileShowTakeover, as the spiral serving as her symbol appears in his right eye when he mentions the person who informed him about Recreyo. He comes to the conclusion he's being used himself after getting a good look at Recreyo, not knowing ''what'' they are and immediately ordering they be restrained while he figures out what's going on.

[[folder:Security Breach [=SCPs=]]]
Numerous SCP's kept in the facility that Recreyo was transferred to, and are forced to deal with if they want to escape the facility. The [=SCPs=] they specifically have to deal with are:
* SCP-087: The Stair Case
* SCP-523
* SCP-999: The Tickle Monster
* SCP-1048: Builder Bear
* SCP-1499
* SCP-2660
----
* AdorableAbomination: SCP-999 only cares about tickling and is for the most part entirely benign, posing no threat to anyone and only tickling them until asked to stop. Ivan was the only one willing to approach it instead of SCP-087, and in turn the only one to not lose a life that round.
* HeroKiller: They collectively manage to kill [[spoiler:Christian and Kristine]] as the crew tried to escape.
* TwoRoadsBeforeYou: The crew are forced to choose between two different [=SCPs=] whenever they reach a corridor, with only the hope that the one they pick won't claim one of their three lives.
** The first corridor has the choice of either SCP-099, or SCP-087. Ivan chooses the former, while the others choose the latter. SCP-099, proving harmless, only tickles Ivan, while Den, Kristine, and Christian lose one of their lives to the darkness.
** The second corridor has the choice of either SCP-1048, or SCP-523. Kristine chooses the former, while the others choose the latter. Kristine is mauled to death by SCP-1048, while Ivan, Den, and Christian all lose a life to SCP-523.
** The third and final corridor has the choice of either SCP-1499, or SCP-2660. Christian and Kristine choose the former, while Ivan and Den choose the latter. [[spoiler:Christian and Kristine]] are killed and [[spoiler:lose their last lives as a result]], while [[spoiler:Ivan and Den]] use SCP-2660 to completely escape... right to where [[spoiler:Recreyo-chan disguised as]] Curt was luring them to.

* DeathByAdaptation: Considering the ''actual'' Oompa-Loompas survived canon unscathed...Yeah, this is fairly obvious.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Literally seconds after they're introduced, they're revealed to already be dead.
* LittlePeople: About 2 or 3 feet tall.
* PosthumousCharacter: Were dead for potentially minutes to ''months'' prior to the episode.

[[caption-width-right:350:"We hope to see you there! And if we don't... we'll find you."]]
The adorable spokesperson for the Recreyo Anime NYC promotion... but is that really all?
----
* AmbiguouslyRelated: Recreyo-chan seems to have a weird connection to several members of Recreyo, most specifically Den, Curt, and Christian.
** During the official announcement for Kristine joining Recreyo, Den was shown on Christian's left before briefly glitching and resembling Recreyo-chan, before then returning to looking like Den... only for ''another'' Den to appear on Christian's ''right'', with no one acknowledging the Den that was on the left. And during the events of "We Found a Secret in this ''Cabin''..", Den randomly begins talking about simulation theory, asking if someone is puppeteering them, and a glitch occurring ''right'' as she begins talking about it.
** Curt is the one being saddled with [[MisplacedRetribution the blame]] for the glitches from the other members since he's the one who does the final upload, and during the apology video he made, the end of the video glitches again to show her symbol. Certain episodes would likewise depict her trying to ''snatch'' Curt from behind with him none the wiser, [[spoiler:eventually succeeding after "Aliens are Real... Now What?"]], so she can take his place and manipulate the rest of the crew.
** For a brief period, the channel banner glitched and ''removed'' Christian from it, while the glitch representing her influence appeared behind the others. Multiple episodes were updated to list Christian as a FakeGuestStar, stating "Big thanks to Christian for joining us for this episode!", several of the glitches during episodes only seem to occur when ''Christian'' says something, and Christian makes a point of stating he ''didn't'' write the scenario "dont go [[Film/{{Barbarian}} downstairs]]" when Curt asks him why he "killed" Curt off, with a glitch of Recreyo-chan occurring at that ''exact'' moment, as if to say ''she'' wrote it. "ROKO'S BASILISK" would see a glitch occur ''not'' depicting Recreyo-chan, but depicting Christian as a ''robot'' while explaining the titular concept, no one noticing his face falling off as he puts it back on and screws it back into place.
* CharacterisationClickMoment: Recreyo Chan’s intial role was only to speak out about the Anime NYC announcement back in 2021, and she was generally very bland without a solidified personality. However, with her recent appearances in "Can You Survive Dr. Stone?" and "Officially Announcing the New Recreyo Member," she’s suddenly getting fleshed out as an important character, albeit very vaguely. It only took two years!
* EnemyMine: The GrandFinale sees her [[spoiler:forced to work alongside Recreyo to stop her twin sister... something she's not exactly happy to be doing since, aside from Curt, their idiocy largely annoys her, Christian's [[BullyingADragon taunting]] in particular.]] The second part of the finale even reflects this, titled "Can You Team Up With Your Worst Enemy?".
* EyeMotifs: Her symbol has a habit of showing up in the eyes of the members of the crew at random points, typically when they tell the animator to do something. The only non-crew member this occurred to was SCP-049, appearing in his eye when he claims ''someone'' told him Recreyo held the key to curing the Pestilence, implying it was her who did so.
* TheFakeCutie: With her cute school uniform and blue pigtails, as well as emphasis on her cheeks, Recreyo Chan appears like an adorable mascot for Recreyo. However, she also ends the promotion that she debuts in with a knife-threat.
* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: Recreyo Chan threatens the viewers with a knife at the end of her debut, but she also appears to glitch through the videos as of season two. Although her current intentions are not yet very clear, it's already been established that she's well aware of the audience and has the confidence to threaten them.
* HeadsIWinTailsYouLose: [[spoiler:By virtue of being the scenario runner for the episode]], she's able to easily manipulate the events of "Can You Survive an SCP Containment Breach?" to ensure that the crew perfectly dances to her tune regardless of what choices they make.
* HostileShowTakeOver: {{Implied|Trope}} to have been attempted several times.
** Over the course of Season 2, starting with "Can You Survive ''Manga/DrStone''?", several episodes have had [[OminousVisualGlitch glitching segments]] that occasionally depict someone resembling her in the static, with the descriptions having bits and pieces of a message. This would reach an apex on May 5th, 2023, with the ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2kU8lzNNxU now unlisted]]) episode "C̷a̵n̷ ̴y̸o̶u̴ Survive ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4''?", with the video heavily glitching until the 0:36 mark, at which point the entire video glitches out, with an occasional Morse Code message being played, and the description only containing what's needed to complete the message: "c̶ḁ̷͝n̴̼̝̹͛y̴̖̾̐̾̏̀ō̴̩u̸̹̔ ̴̧̣̀ḧ̸͔͔̎e̷͔̱̓̚a̴̟̾ r̷͉͔͒ ̶̣̎m̷̢̔ẽ̵̜?̶̮̑". (''Can You Hear Me?'') The video itself would be taken down several hours later with the crew [[https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxmEG9ljSmWDNlMCxoqwQeL94Hj247TGm9 issuing a statement]] that it was simply a "[[BlatantLies rendering error]]" and that the proper episode would be uploaded the following week, stopping whatever happened from continuing.
** After Curt then released an apology video stating episodes would become bi-weekly until he could fix the glitches, the amount of glitches largely ceased, instead a ''spiral'' symbol resembling the swirls on Recreyo-chan's cheeks appearing at times, including at the very end of said apology video to make clear she is ''not done''. Following this, Recreyo-chan appears to be taking a more ''subtle'' approach, as the events of "Can You Survive The Plague Doctor | SCP-049" would see the titular SCP acting [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness uncharacteristically hostile]], believing all the members of Recreyo acting as D-Class Agents were infected with "The Pestilence", and that ''someone'' had told him that the four of them would be the key to fixing it, the spiral symbol briefly appearing in his right eye when they begin to think "it" lied to him and questioning just ''what'' the Recreyo members really are, all but outright saying Recreyo-chan was the one SCP-049 was referring to, was the one responsible for reviving Den, and had orchestrated the entire situation to justify Recreyo being transferred to another facility and labelled as SCP's.
** She finally makes her move following "What [=YouTubers=] Don't Tell You.", trying [[spoiler:and succeeding]] to kidnap and replace Curt, having the rest of the crew partake in another SCP scenario, successfully [[spoiler:killing]] Christian and Kristine while tricking Ivan and Den into helping her, the episode ending on a {{cliffhanger}}, revealing herself to them as the credits begin glitching out entirely as she's all but won.
--->'''Recreyo-chan:''' You've all done well listening to everything I've said. And now I have ''everything'' I need... to ''end the scenario''.
* GratuitousLatin: During "We Found a Secret in this ''Cabin''..", an OminousVisualGlitch occurs when the message found in the puzzle is displayed, changing to read "Protesne me videre?", roughly translating to "Do you want to see me?"
* GreaterScopeVillain: She served as this for the events of "Can You Survive The Plague Doctor | SCP-049" due to having manipulated the titular SCP into going after the crew under the pretense that they held the cure for the "The Pestilence". [[spoiler:After kidnapping Curt and taking his place]], [[LetsGetDangerous she opts to get directly involved]] as the BigBad of "Can You Survive an SCP Containment Breach?" by causing a security breach in the SCP Foundation.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: What exactly she ''wants'' is still unclear, the only hint being that she wants to be ''known'' about, as many of her messages she leaves behind fall along that idea: "Can you hear me?", "Do you want to see me?", etc.
* MeaningfulName: Her real name, [[spoiler:"Ao", is Japanese for the color "Blue", reflecting how her color palette is predominently blue, and how she is the "[[RedOniBlueOni Blue Oni]]" when compared to her twin sister, only wanting to protect her home by getting rid of Recreyo in contrast to her twin wanting to destroy the multiverse.]]
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: She threatens the viewers with a knife if they don't attend the Anime NYC show.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: "Recreyo-chan" is not actually her name, rather it's just the name Recreyo gave her. Her actual name is known by Curt, but he's cut off before he can say it. [[spoiler:The GrandFinale reveals her name is "Ao".]]
* TragicVillain: [[spoiler:She became trapped in the void of the multiverse somehow, with the void becoming the only thing she ever knew or loved. After Recreyo began doing their scenarios though, the portals they were creating tore holes in reality and hurt her in the process, with her attempts at trying to capture Curt being both to stop the tears and make him take her place. Curt comes to realize she's not necessarily "evil", but more broken and desperately trying to survive after failing to protect the only home she ever knew. It's because of this that he takes her with him after they defeat her OneWingedAngel form, hoping he could give her a new home with the Recreyo crew.]]
