Although they may bear the same name, they are considered separate character and occupy different party slots. They also have their own character quests, a few of which are available to play without requiring the player to have said characters due to their intertwined nature with the Mythos. Parallel time layer characters can be encountered through Gallery of Dreams like others, or they can also be encountered by using three Opus documents of their classes and five Chant Scripts if the player has their original Normal Style counterparts[[note]]although they will start with 0 light/shadow points if they are encountered through this method[[/note]].
