1	''Okami'' does a lot with traditional Japanese instruments. As Amaterasu and Issun venture across Nippon to exorcise the forces of darkness, the game is more than happy to provide some truly catchy and soaring songs to go with it.

4	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io27DY6RnJE Cherry Blossom Shower]] plays in Kamiki Village in the lead-up to Mr Orange reviving Sakuya's tree. An energetic and cheerful song which provides the perfect accompaniment to a festival.
5	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGHKaawEi0w Ida Race]], despite the name, plays in any racing-type activity. Fittingly, it's a very fast-paced song to get the blood pumping and to give a feeling of "Like HELL I'm losing this!".
6	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmDRTK2PlNc Battle of Orochi]], for the eponymous boss battle. In any other game, this would qualify as a FinalBoss track, considering how dire it sounds to represent the grave threat of Orochi. It helps to set the stage for the game's first DiscOneFinalBoss.
7	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1YRu2pqK3g Ryoshima Coast]], playing in the eponymous location, is a perfect match for the wide-open ocean landscape and rolling hills. It's enough to put many a player in an adventurous mood.
8	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAkD39BjOq8 Battle of Ninetails]] plays during the battle with the aforementioned fox. A fittingly fast-paced and intense song for a fast-paced and intense boss. It also sounds fairly ominous, perfect for such a vile and deceitful opponent.
9	* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D566niVB0lQ Kamui of the Northern Lands]] plays in one of the final areas of the game. Fittingly for a snowy wasteland, the song sounds downright desperate in places, which fits with the dire situation Wep'keer faces. And at the same time, it's somewhat sad, considering that once you reach Kamui, you've officially reached the last third of the game.
10	* For the last obstacle before completing the story, the soundtrack has to go out with a bang, which it's more than happy to do with the FinalBoss track: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZxK58tPU4I Rising Sun]].[[note]]or, "The Sun Rises", depending on how it's translated[[/note]] With the prayers of the people of Nippon behind her, Amaterasu sets out to vanquish Yami to a beautiful, triumphant piece to not only close off the game, but to hype you up to lay an absolute smackdown on the God of Darkness. Because it's not his theme...it's ''yours''.
