And then, after Charles shatters the illusions appearing in the mirrors, Tom arrives and stabs the Dust Witch with a now fully charged lightning rod, disintegrating her.
8	* Mr. Dark's evil monologue in the library, where he throws away Charles Holloway's years like a demented auctioneer. He makes a Faustian bargain sound perfectly reasonable while scaring the holy hell out of the audience with nothing but his words.

Qrow hears rumors about Raven being in Vacuo, which is odd since she never strays far from her tribe in Mistral. When he finds her, she's become a BrokenBird that's been DrowningMySorrows. The reason? ''Momonga killed off the entire Branwen Tribe when she attempted to raid a village.''
16	* ''Chapter 2'' and ''Chapter 3'' feature Momonga performing a BigDamnHeroes moment to save Shiroyuki, much like how he saved Carne Village in the light novel. He even channels his inner [[VideoGame/Disgaea5 Demon General Bloodis]] by giving the Branwen Tribe an ultimatum.

19	** After the Death Knight is defeated, Raven assumes that Momonga is weak and has to rely on others to fight for him. Raven had previously somehow managed to negate [Touch of Undeath] and [Paralysis], and following that, [Grasp Heart]. ''Raven managed to survive a skill that kills anyone, regardless of immunity''!
21	!!Volume 2: The Lone Huntress
22	* How Initiation goes. Unlike how it went for Team RWBY and CFVY, this time it's been changed to a battle royal-esque fight between all the initiates. [[CurbStompBattle For Shizu, it was cake-walk]].
23	* The introduction of the Wild Hunt--Grimm that have been around since the days of the Brother Gods. It's first seen commanding the Grimm in the castle to bring the intruders, Team RY_L plus Shizu and Port, to it. Team RY_L encounters it, and it winds up being a one-sided slaughter.
24	* For many readers, Roy getting his recompense for leaving his teammates to die and his single-minded obsession with Shizu ends with him being carted off to Nazarick by Aura. So he can be experimented on to learn more about aura.
25	* The surprise decision in the ''EPILOGUE'' chapter for Shizu to become part of a new team consisting of May Zedong, Arslan Altan and Reese Chloris, all of whom are canonically first-years like Ruby in the show.
