Can we remove the direct links to the Daily Show website and use clips on You Tube instead? It kinda dents this site's international accessibility if the clips can't be viewed outside the US. - Ketsuban

Doctor Worm: The clips on You Tube are liable to be taken down, the ones on thedailyshow.com are not.

Unknown Troper: So basically, you're saying "Fuck you, Johnny Foreigner"? Just asking for confirmation.

HeartBurn Kid: Being kinda harsh, aren't you? The problem is, Paramount really polices Youtube hard; Daily Show and Colbert Report clips don't tend to stay there very long. If you've got a solution that allows foreign residents to watch the clips and won't have us constantly looking for new clips, I'm all ears.

Morgan Wick: Ask Viacom to make the clips available outside the US?

On another note: The Colbert Report is a spinoff (it follows the same format). Calling Root of All Evil and Important Things spinoffs is really stretching it. (Is The Rachel Maddow Show a spinoff of Countdown With Keith Olbermann?)

Grimace: While I can't speak for other countries, I'm in Australia and the clips work perfectly fine here (admitted, not very helpful to those countries that don't have them readily available, but I just thought I'd share). But regardless, what Doctor Worm said is a point, considering You Tube is purged weekly whereas the Daily Show webpage will have them until the machines rise and destroy us all. If you really want a clip, search on You Tube yourself and see if its there (again, I say this as someone who doesn't have to, so I'm not exactly "fair and balanced"...oh I kill me).

Rabid Rainbow: You could also check Hulu for clips. Since they're legally allowed to be on there they aren't in danger of being taken down. I don't know if it's accessible for foreigners though.

  • You could, but there would be no point, since Hulu is also not available outside the United States- Chuckles

Nerem: Deleted the 'Wham Episode' example, as it was not in any way a Wham Episode... and the example given was a false one anyways.

KillerClowns: Do you think we should have a separate Crowning Moment Of Awesome page for the Daily Show? The list is getting long.

Chris Algoo: The potholing for Larry Wilmore in The Cast Showoff is a CMOF.
