Capt Famous: Regarding the Luxus Tomato Surprise - surprising does not equal well-done. With a good TS, you can look back at earlier parts of the story and see things you ignored before that hint towards the eventual outcome (see Loki and his bizarre fear of Lucy). A bad TS leaves you wondering whether the author decided to throw it in at the last second. I think this one leans towards the latter, but Your Mileage May Vary.
Clarste: Is Lucy really the main character? Seems to me she's introduced as the Naïve Newcomer to set up the story but eventually fades into just one the cast (and sometimes acts as The Watson). In terms of shounen logic, Natsu's the main character, especially since his name parallels Haru from the author's previous work (Haru = "spring" and Natsu = "summer"). It's not too important, except for the fact that the description starts with "This is the tale of Lucy" which is sort of misleading.
aqua: Just a question that's confusing me, where did the info about Aries being Loki's sister come from? There doesn't seem to be any evidence anywhere that that's their relationship.
As for Lucy, there is another general rule (well, not really a rule) in shounen that the first character you meet = main character. Lucy's the first one. Also, if you want to compare FT to Rave, Elie isn't the main character (verses Haru) but her story arc is incredibly important to the whole of that series. This is also considering that Lucy could be considered an Expy of Elie... moreso then Natsu of Haru.
Hmm, I'm not sure that this is the place for this kind of thing, but I think somebody should launch a Character Sheet.
- The Trope Eater: I'm in agreement there are a lot of characters here, and everyone of them has their own profile and associated, tropes, which would make the main page too convoluted if we keep adding in the character related tropes.
The Strom Lord: Character Sheet = very yes. Also, the first charcter we see is NATSU, not Lucy, in both the anime and manga.
Pika Bot: Well, if you want to get right down to brass tacks, technically the first character we see is Urtear.
Anyway, I cleaned up this page a good deal, scythed out badly explained examples, lies, misinformation, misplaced fanon, etc.
Dales Kaine: Heww!! I started the Character Sheet. You can go ahead can list the tropes for them.
Loki-Chan: Just wondering...Is there a place on Tvtropes listing Fairy Tail Crowning Moments Of Awesome? Just my opinion, but I think the serie contains at least one or two moments like that, and I haven't found any listed here.
