Quite superfluicius to put any examples in here, as strictly speaking EVERY book dedicating itself to a fantasy/SF setting needs building a world in before.

at the utmost JRR Tolkien is an example for very detailed and self-absorbing worldbuilding but the building as such is NOT seldom it is a basic necessary craft of the trade.

Satanic Hamster: Sure but not everyone sees the world the same way some examples I deem necessary. That's was a semester of speech class and about four years of special ed have taught me.


randomfanboy: Doesn't the phrase '(sometimes retroactively)' kinda ruin the point of the sentence and the trope?
