Ununnilium: Though we've danced around the edges of it, I don't think there's a trope specifically for the Astro Boy version of this, where the copy-person is a robot, not a hologram.

osh: That'd overlap with Replacement Goldfish a little.

Ununnilium: True, but so does this. (Though I can't think of an instance with a holographic Replacement Goldfish.)

Big T: Uun hit on something that I was going to ask. Must the character actually be a hologram? Because I know instances where the character became a robot, or was put into a computer, but had no corporeal form outside of a viewscreen. Would these fit? Max Headroom, anyone?

Luis Dantas: There is a Batman computer-generated Graphic Novel by the name of "Digital Justice" which I did not read, but probably has a few examples of this trope.
