BTT He P: I'm honestly surprised this doesn't show up more in video games, as it's a really useful device for having highly user-defined player characters, while still having a strong personality to hang the storyline on.

For all of the games in which he appears or is mentioned, he is the same person according to Word of God and every theory I've seen. I can't think of when he's a different individual (the nightmare in LA is based on Link's memories, the monster in the combined Oracles games is a failed summoning ritual on his spirit.)
