Working Title: Vampire Detective: From YKTTW
Luc: Could somebody who is familar with the series in question go through this list and decide which of the following (taken from Friendly Neighorhood Vampires) is valid for inclusion here?
- Shidou Tatsukiho from Nightwalker -- somewhat of an Anne Rice background, not to mention wildly fluctuating powers (he could stand in sunlight in the first episode).
- Henry Fitzroy in Blood Ties.
- Jack Fleming from P.N. Elrod's book series The Vampire Files.
- Arguably, Bill Compton from The Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries. He is a detective, but how much of a nice guy he is can be debated.
arromdee: Googling this gives me some more examples:
- Felix Gomez
- Joe Pitt (Already Dead). To be made into a movie (!)
- True Blood, upcoming HBO series based on a book series. I'm not sure how much detective work the vampire does, though, since the Amazon description implies the lead woman is the detective
- Garreth Mikaelian (series by Lee Killough)
- Devon Harrington, vampire in "The Veil"
Chandagnac: 'Would Kim Newman's Anno Dracula count? The series is all about Vampires and the full-length novels usually involve detectives. However, they're not always the same people.
Uh, yeah, this is an Entry Pimp, I know.
Antheia: They Fight Crime! is about absurd series premises, not actual crime-fighting premises. Removed the link to that trope from point one in the description.
