Working Title: Overkill: From YKTTW

Gentlemens Dame 883: Is there any particular reason for removing the Kharn quote I put in the article? I shall be putting it back in if there's no response in, say, 18 hours' time.

Uknown Troper: Apart from the fact that this trope probably has enough quotes already, it has nothing to do whatsoever with the trope. Kharn is *not* a follower of this philosophy unless he switched his axe for stick with a tactical nuke strapped to it while I wasn't looking.

Da Wrecka: I'm thinking that some mention is deserved of the Finest KO in Capcom vs. SNK 2. You pull it off by countering a super/special with a special/level 3 super, respectively, or K Oing a taunting opponent with a level 3 super, and it is most satisfying to get. What I'm not sure of is whether it actually fits this trope, or whether it more fits the Rule of Cool or something else entirely. Thoughts?
Does Dokuro apply to this? Somebody add it if so.
It seems to me like a lot of these examples are just things are unfeasibly huge. For instance, everything in the TTGL examples isn't overkill, it's exactly the right weapon for that particular enemy (that enemy being, at its very weakest, a BF Robot). The show itself might be overkill, but that's a more philosophical discussion.
Would Kamen Rider Double firing off explosive/flaming(I'm not sure) point blank at an enemy count?
