Lale: I don't see any explanation for cutting the page quote, especially since it actually provides a good explanation/Lampshade Hanging of the trope.
Eponymous Kid: Because Avatar doesn't really have a Five-Man Band. If anything, Sokka's The Lancer (Because Katara is, let's be real with ourselves, perhaps one of the most egregious examples of The Chick ever ever), and a surrogate Smart Guy for a team that doesn't really have one. He's also sort of dimwitted a lot of the time.
