Ununnilium: Took out...
- Video games, video games, and did we mention video games? Not only are Moral Guardians under the impression that all video games are Grand Theft Auto, but they've committed a highly elementary argumental fallacy. The argument: violent games cause kids to like violence. The logical truth: manufacturers make violent games because customers like violence and therefore pay the most for it. Contrary to what's popularly accepted, Grand Theft Auto is a result of what kids find fun, not the cause.
...because not only do we already have Ultra Super Death Gore Fest Chainsawer 3000, but this is a bit of a misrepresentation of the Moral Guardians' position; the argument is that violent media causes violence, not causes people to like violence. Not that I'm defending them, but. Also, GTA isn't made for kids.
Ununnilium: Conversation In The Main Page:
- Curiously enough, no accusations towards computer games or violent movies were made.
- Yes, because they didn't feature Plato or Nietzsche! Duh!
Later:
- Then again, it's not as if The Powers That Be are completely wrong. You know there's a problem if there is a a reading revival. (At least there is one.)
...how the hell is that a problem? O.o And how does it prove anything?
Inkblot: I think what that troper meant was that the revival in reading shouldn´t exist, because people shouldn´t have been disinterested in reading in the first place.
Even later:
Though, then again, you have to wonder why Christians have so much law-making-in-favor-of-their-religon power...
Not in this page you don't. This isn't about law, anyway, it's about public reaction (which may lead to laws and may not).

Diddgery: Took out this bit underneath the Pokemon heading.:
- Those who say pokemon is satanic are wrong completely. Pokemon Mystery Dungeons Explorers of Time and Darkness are the exception. They feature Primal Dialga, the pokemon devil.
Seven Seals: Took out this:
- Truth In Media. This troper has had sex that was less sexual than the waltz.
