fleb: Just wondering— is it really spelled Neidermeyer, or is it Niedermeyer? Combined with 'animal house', the latter gets 11,000 google hits while the former gives 5,000, so even The Internet isn't sure which.

Ellen Hayes: in that case, and since I guessed wrong the first time, I made a redirect from the other spelling.

fleb: Redirect got cutlisted by thatother1dude. I'll recreate it.

Looney Toons: Unnamed person at 68.68.103.40, periods are your friends. Use them liberally to end sentences. Don't worry, the wiki won't run out of them — we have a special volume deal with the manufacturer.

//Indeed, if you run short, just ask me, and I'll give you some extras out of my CPU's floating point unit.

Haven: removed an entire conversation of Justifying Edit-ing:

  • Though it's worth noting that it was Hartman's job to turn said private into a killer, thus it could be argued that he simply did too good of a job.
    • No, his job is to turn said private into a soldier, and he failed at that utterly. A certain Lois Mc Master Bujold quote is entirely appropriate here.
Miles Vorkosigan: Nevertheless, while it's not hard to get any group of persons excited enough to shoot at things, one purpose of military discipline is to ensure they also stop shooting on command.
    • In that case, Hartman might want to expand on the "don't eat your own bullets" section. Wait... too late.
  • Also, Hartman was not the only person abusing Pyle. His squadmates pitched right in.
    • Again, on Hartman's orders.

Chuckg: Removed another justifying edit. Hartman is a demonstrable failure as a drill instructor... noticing when one of your recruits is cracking under the strain is one of the single most important parts of his job, and he completely fails to do it.

KeithM: Corrected the Band of Brothers example. Sobel was a captain in charge of the company, not a sergeant in charge of his squad, and he wasn't forced to quit because of a practical joke but reassigned by his commanders when it was clear there'd be no way he'd be able to lead the unit into combat.

mondeca: I can't find a reference to the Trope Namer on this page.
