Working Title: The Alcoholic: From YKTTW
Sotanaht Answering this should clear up any doubt as to the specific meaning of this trope: Why is Barney Gumble on here as the prime example, while Homer Simpson isn't on here at all?
Wulf- Probably because Barney is an even bigger drunk than Homer, and whoever added the example didn't think to put "...and to a lesser extent, Homer."
Prfnoff: Replaced the quote, partly because I didn't think this fit the trope well enough:
"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day."
—Frank Sinatra
