Working Title: That Man Is Dead: From YKTTW
- Used extremely melodramatically in an episode of Futurama, when Bender decides it's high time to kill off his female alter-ego, Coilette, in order to get out of his marriage to Calculon with no strings attached. After an exceptionally long and soap-operatically contrived act by the gang, Zoidberg looks up from where he's buried his face in the cake and proclaims, "I'm a doctor, she's dead!" And then goes right back to noshing.
Removed for not being an example of this trope at all.

- In one of Isaac Asimov's Foundation series novels, Arcadia decides to change her name to Arkady as a result of going through a series of
Moved here because Arcadia was established as hating the name "Arcadia" from essentially the moment she was introduced. She even mentioned wanting to change it to "Arkady" in the scene in question. I feel that this is therefore not an example of That Man Is Dead.
