They Wanted That To Be Blood launched as Symbolic Blood: From YKTTW
Idle Dandy: I think there needs to be more of a distinction from A Bloody Mess. This should be confined to symbolic representations and parodies, not instances where a character or the audience think it's blood.
Nornagest: Don't think the Ghost In The Shell example qualifies as this, although it may qualify as Alien Blood. The series is not at all shy about showing real blood (heck, a guy's head explodes on-camera at one point), and showers of hydraulic fluid are never used to indicate a symbolic loss.
