macroscopic: Despite being familiar with the source material, I'm not seeing how the image demonstrates this trope. Anyways took out two examples, the Space Quest one is a Lost Forever, and I'm not sure about the Doctor Who one as it's vague, but the troper who put it in sure wasn't very confidant about it.
- Space Quest 5 warns you very explicitly if you left something of importance behind, such as the liquid nitrogen tanks on Genetix, but it won't hesitate to punish you later in the game if you ignore the warning.
- Somewhat of a stretch, as in the end he wasn't forgotten, but the new version of Doctor Who has this exchange.
The Doctor: Everybody lives, Rose! Just this once, everybody lives!Rose: What about Jack?Cut to Jack, trapped with a bomb about to go off. They saved him, though, so it's somewhat subverted.
