We also seem to have Galley Slave, which seems a little like unnecessary duplication. This has a better description, but that has more examples and a more obvious name.

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: They are complementary tropes. The Slave Galley is where the Galley Slaves work...

Some Sort Of Troper: Er, no. The scant description of Galley Slave talks primarily about the set up and nature of the galley, the examples focus heavily on the galley. They most skew towards any character that has spent any time on a galley and they replicate examples. I would say that they need to be merged, the slight difference in focus that only the name suggests is just that- slight. Slave Galley has a better name and a fuller description (though perhaps not necessarily better), Galley Slave has more examples (probably because it does manage a curter description). Mergy, mergy, mergy wergy.

Madrugada No, don't mergy-wergy, and don't cut. One is the ship, one is the character. Definitely don't cut the better-written one in favor of the one with a lousy description.
