Kilyle: Is this really the best title for this trope? These two are horrible fates that the heroes are trying to avoid, but steering too far away from one puts you in danger of the other. It doesn't seem highly connected to pleasing anyone, let alone choosing between two or more positive options. Unless you mean the two dangers are the potentially displeased Betty and Veronica? I mean, so you're trying to make sure you don't displease Betty, but you can't go too far toward pleasing her because it puts you in dangerous territory with Veronica... that kind of thing? It still seems like a bit of a stretch for the title of this trope.
The Fedora Pirate: Do we have one for this where it isn't played for laughs? A character is stuck between two choices and we can all see how fucked he is and the only option is for it to end in tragedy 'cause no matter what he does not everything/one can be saved.
