Replaced Hinata with Tenten because she has even less personality and whoever added Hinata can't even spell her name right.

Ununnilium: Might want to add some detail as to how she's a satellite.

This Troper added Hinata back on there again. Simply because by all definition, she is. Without Naruto (or at the very least her attraction to him) Hinata would be a bland, faceless character with no real means to be in the story other than to provide conflict with Neji (Which was resolved by the way). In this series being a Shrinking Violet is by no means a probable personality for a ninja, so she looks up to Naruto for the strength to continue being a ninja. In that sense of admiration (and affection) Hinata's entire personality became attached solely to her attraction to Naruto that if the author were to simply take it out, her character would become dull, unless she got character development where she would shed her Shrinking Violet personality and step out of being in Naruto's Shadow. Unfortunately, recent events simply puts her back into the Status Quo.

This Troper removed her again for a few reasons. 1)Compared to the other characters on the list (Tenten, Konan, Shizune), she isn't always seen with her respective satellite. 2) While her desire to become like Naruto is the most important part of her character, proving herself to Naruto is not her only reason for doing so; she also has issues relating to her family's expectations for her and her desire to not let her teammates down. 3)Her fight with Neji was mainly about her issues rather than Neji's- we don't learn much about him then other than that he hates the main family, like many branch family members do- and he mainly serves as an opponent who will not show her any respect or mercy. 4)Given that Naruto's main reason for wanting to defeat Neji is his promising Hinata that he would, it's arguable that rather than existing merely to provide conflict with Neji, she is the reason for Naruto's fight with Neji, and only happens to factor into his Freudian Excuse. 5)She receives more screentime and development than the other members of Team 8; opening up to Naruto to the point where she confesses her love to him, being more confident and decisive in battle, and more willing to face seemingly impossible odds.
