Bob: I cut the Vandread example, because it's not an example of this trope. This page is about actual sex, not metaphorical sex.
- Amazingly averted in Vandread. Even though the normal combinations between the Unlucky Everydude's Humongous Mecha and the fighters piloted by his Unwanted Harem all carry different metaphors for sex, the same cannot be said of the Super Vandread (Piyoro), which combines all four.
Does this apply to gadgets as well? Because if I hear one more Sonic Screwdriver=vibrator gag I swear...
Lady Shadowflame: I don't see why not. If a gadget is a frequently used or referred to gimmick, I'd say it applies. (Oh, and I am mildly disturbed at how many examples keep being added. I didn't realise it'd be quite this popular when I started the page...)
Lord Seth: While it doesn't really apply to the topic of this page exactly, the Danny Phantom example lists him exiting the girl's bathroom via phasing to be an Overused Running Gag. Offhand, I can only think of one episode it was done in, and it was only done twice in that episode. Hardly enough to quality as a Running Gag, let alone an overused one.
Lord Seth; It's been a month since I posted that, with no reply, so I'm deleted the reference to it as an Overused Running Gag.

Cassius335: Firebending doesn't (as far as I know) make you immune to fire and certainly wouldn't protect you from your internal organs turning very crispy. The name I'll correct.
Lady Shadowflame: Removed the following, since it's not actually true, coming from one who has actually read it repeatedly. No. Just...no. Untrue.
- Read the novelization of Episode 3. Not only is it truth in the book that Palpatine's master got Shmi pregnant with his experiments, but it was dropped for time in the movie!
How about creating a section that classifies the potential for each power? (rather than for each work of fiction)...
