Dorky: I think the following describes a related trope:

A lone person (typically female) in a enclosed area is fleeing an attacker that will cause her grievous bodily harm or worse if she does not escape. She manages to reach an exit, but when she frantically tries to open it the lock jams/the handle comes off. She turns around, faces her executioner, and screams. Hilarity ensues among sounds and imagery suggesting a brutal, gruesome death. :'(

Seanette: Sorted the examples I could. I have no clue what category to put the other two in.

: I'd say the Mitch Hedburg one could be removed, as there's already a nearly exact quote by him at the top of the page, and the Colbert one would go into live action television. Azaram

Truth in Television, although I don't think anyone would belive it if I put it up... I had a talking car, (1985 Nissan 200sx) and when I got out, leaving the lights on temporarily because I was only going to be a moment, the car said 'Lights are on'. I said 'I know, dammit, shut it!', left, came back, car wouldn't start...until I apologized, then it started right away. Azaram
