Working Title: Interrupted Musical Number: From YKTTW
Clarabell: Does it count if someone's song is interrupted by different music? I have two examples of that. Feel free to add them if they apply:
- In Shrek's Swamp Karaoke Dance Special, a couple songs are cut short by other songs before they get to the juicy parts (for one, Fiona never reaches the chorus of "Like a virgin"). In particular:
Donkey: ... When a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist / And a round thing in your face / You get ...Thelonious: Feelings ...
- In an example spectacularly suited to the trope name, Wagner's legendary pair in Tristan und Isolde are singing a gargantuan love duet only to be interrupted by the king and his men, who find them nearly ... climaxing. All together now ...
Fluffyskunk: Shouldn't this be Musica Interrupta? :-3
- Clarabell: Probably. I suggested the name, but I have essentially no knowledge of Latin grammar.
