Working Title: Military Alphabet: From YKTTW

Adam850: By the way, "Alfa" and "Alpha" are both valid.

Micah: Was the American WWII alphabet really Y-less?

Silent Hunter: There's a US police one as well. Starts with Adam.

Gildor: Added Y to the WWII alphabet, and added police alphabet as well.

Brickie: The RAF one is interesting. 617 Squadron on the night of the dams raid had the following callsigns, where AJ is the squadron designator. I don't know if these are official letters but it does suggest the RAF tended to use no one uniform system.

AJ-A "Apple" AJ-B "Baker" AJ-C "Charlie" AJ-E "Easy" AJ-F "Freddie" AJ-G "George" AJ-H "Harry" AJ-J "Johnny" AJ-K "King" AJ-L "Leather" (L for leather, geddit?) AJ-M "Mother" AJ-N "Nut" AJ-O "Orange" AJ-P "Popsie" AJ-S "Sugar" AJ-T "Tommy" AJ-W "Willie" AJ-Y "York" AJ-Z "Zebra"
