VVK: If someone was wondering about the Discworld/Auditors example, most of which I basically deleted, it actually goes like this: a) Auditors are destroyed if they develop individuality for one of the reasons mentioned, specifically that they see any finite amount of time as infinitesimal. The don't terminate each other, and none on Hogfather were loving being individuals. b) Auditors are killed by strong sensations (not emotions, not sense of individuality) because of the shock ensuing from the fact that they're used to having none.

None of this was really relevant to the example for this trope, as the initial statement that the Auditors couldn't feel hatred for the given reasons wasn't true. (Probably they must feel a very cold malice if anything nonetheless, not being known for being affected, but in the absence of a specific reason like the one suggested, this isn't exactly worth mentioning under a trope that often applies to things like sentient computers.)
