Seven Seals: Would House from House M.D. qualify? I haven't seen enough episodes to tell. He's obviously good, and arrogant, but so far I've only seen him put down his colleagues for not being brilliant all the time, rather than trumpet his own horn, so I'm not sure he qualifies.
Does this include the sort of character who feels he has a right to make use of other people because he is a Genius? The Great Artist who mooches off of his friends and steals their girlfriends type? It could be either a real genius, like Wagner, or a fake one, like Harold Skimpole or Philip Boyes. Or is there, or should there be, a Jerk Genius trope?
