Sci Vo: Hmm, no YKTTW. I think that Hollywood Genetics would be a better name. When I see "Evolution", I think of a long, slow process of random changes being selected for or against by circumstance and competition. Most of the entries here clearly don't fit that.

Aquillion: On the other hand, I've noticed a lot of pages (Evilutionary Biologist, Darwinist, and Evolutionary Levels in particular) repeat the same explanations of traditional Hollywood misinterpretations of evolution (the idea that it's always a mechanism for better, faster stronger creatures with more powers, the related idea that it's leading to a specific 'goal', ignoring the importance of maintaining biological diversity for a healthy species, and so forth.) Perhaps a separate Hollywood Genetics page should be created for that, and then this page turned into a central trope that links the main Evolution tropes into a central explanation of how Hollywood gets evolution wrong, with links to the above as subtropes and lists of examples that don't fit into one of the more specific tropes. Those tropes could then link here instead of explaining it three times, too... and of course they'd all go under Hollywood Genetics, too.
