Gotterdammerung is sort of the same thing as this, as it's described now. Shouldn't it be more like "the fact that it's the past is seen as a good enough reason for dragons and wizards everywhere, without any explanation for why the laws of physics changed"?
Nobodymuch: The reason why there are more demons in the past of Inuyasha is because the constant warfare is actually generating them. When a greater degree of social harmony is imposed, the demons go to sleep.
It occurs to this Troper that a mundane world has *some* advantages over one full of mad gods, superpowerful and testy wizards, not to mention large flying reptiles who breath fire.....
