Seth: Buffy and Charmed? They both spend the first half of their later seasons monster of the week/slice of life and then about half way through introduce the big bad and make a move on the arc.
Haven: Removed this, since this trope is more about seasons which are half standalone and half Story Arc; it's mostly best to think of the two volumes as being two separate seasons in every way except production.
- Heroes split the third season between two named arc volumes; Volume 3: Villains and Volume 4: Fugitives.
