From YKTTW

Andyzero: Hmm...this reminds me of a different trope, where two people walk by a doorway or window at the same time; and one isn't supposed to be there. The illegal pretends that the doorway is a mirror, and mimics their exact moves.

Hieronymus: Well, this was conceived with thoughts of co-ordinated violence, not spontaneous comedy, so expanding it the definition would mean dropping the scary name. Not that we shouldn't do that: 'if the trope fits...'

Looney Toons: I'd say spin that off into a separate comedy trope, and call it something like Marx Mirror (for the amazing sequence of this type the Marx Brothers did in one of their movies).

Kilyle: That definitely needs a trope of its own. I can vaguely see multiple examples in my head, but I'd have to go look for them. Oh, and sometimes it's actually a mirror, but the reflection is off because it opens to a mirror universe or something, so the reflection tries to mimic anyway.

Kilyle: Say, shouldn't this page have a link to when this happens as a group? It seems that whenever, say, the X-Men wind up fighting against a set of super-villains who are pretty much the exact same as them, they fight their duplicates for many long minutes, getting nowhere, before (if even then) someone things to just switch opponents. Even worse when it's an entire group of Evil Twin enemies. Seriously, never fight your symmetrical opposite, not even for a second, when you can go whoop your teammate's Evil Twin and let him whoop yours.

Andyroid: I think that's Beat Them at Their Own Game.

Medinoc: I suggest moving the quote from Spot the Imposter to here. Or at least pothole it to here.

Citizen: Nope.
