Veritas: The introduction seems to reference Battle Royale but it never shows up (I'll but it in, as example). This is such an archetypical use of the trope, I urge any thusly knowledgeable editors to further integrate it into the article. What's greater control than turning schoolchildren into vicious killers in under fifteen minutes of education? Peteman: Is this only referring to explosives as a means of control, or are there others like parasites, or poisons, or magic (like Belkar Bitterleaf's Mark of Justice)?
Travis Wells: There was a 90s made-for-tv-movie on sci-fi chnanel (I think) which had this as the main plot. Some nanotech researcher was infected by some 'bots that were building bombs inside his body, and the programmer of them was using this to make him do whatever. It was called something like "shell shock" or "bombshock" but I can't find any reference to it on the interweb.
