Lady Sugar Quill: Perhaps we could split this into "were once in Development Hell but were made at last" and "still stuck in Development Hell"?

screw-the-duelists-i-have-money-in-america: would rocky horror the second coming count or is that too opscure, in america?

joss: What is this article about? This never happens. I think some of you people are on the drugs.

Why am I green?

Janitor: You are green because you are using a handle we recognize and your ip-address seems to match. Some things could happen: Either you are rich enough to live near Joss Whedon and are not Joss and we will stomp you into a sticky paste, or you are Joss and we will salute you, and stomp you into a sticky paste. But with the love.

Kilyle: Howcome the Buffy movies aren't up as examples? Or don't they count? The Spike movie, for example, and the Faith movie?

Seth: I would have loved a good omens film... 8 years ago. I think that it would have been better with the older sort of special effects than what most movies use nowadays - sort of like how Wilt was shot. If it were made now i can't help but wonder how much better it would be if it were made then.

And now I look back and realise I made no sense - I also realise i am officially old for preferring an older style of film-making, even if it is less than ten years.

Shini: Is it possible to list fictional examples of developmental hell? Like the "Black Cleopatra" movie from dreamgirls, or should there be a separate page for it?

Freezair For A Limited Time: Can we add examples of TV shows here? Because I have two words: Magi. Nation. An animated TV show, based on a card game, that got stuck in mad Development Hell—announced in 2001-2002, released in 2008. The associated card game pretty much died... And now they're suddenly going to try and bring it back. While I'll dearly hope it works—and if it does, consider me the official TV Tropes Magi Nation Entry Pimp—it seems to fit to me.

T-Jack: Sigh. Wish there was Troper Tales section for this one...

Nate The Great: In my opinion the Adam West Batman does not belong here. It's not in Development Hell, it's a case of Keep Circulating the Tapes.

BritBllt: It seems like it'd depend on the reason for the holdup. If it's a deliberate choice by the studio to not release it, it's not an example, but if they announced a DVD release years ago, and there's just been one delay after the other since then, that'd be Development Hell.

AARST: For real you guys, why is there no distinction between video games and movies in this article? First the list is movies, then movies based on video games and then it seems to be about video games without going into the video game category. Or is that still movies based on video games?

BritBllt: Maybe there should be time range on when a product enters Development Hell. I'm seeing entries for things that were announced just a year or two ago: that's not development hell, that's just normal development time. I'm thinking if it's been more than 5 years since it was first announced, it's safe to say it's gone into Development Hell.

I'm really surprised there isn't a Video Game section for this page. You know, for Duke Nukem.

Shale: That's because video games have their own trope, Vaporware.

Mac Phisto: According to Richard O'Brien, Rocky Horror: The Second Cumming will be set a few months after the original story. Brad Asshole and Janet Slut are seperated, with Brad now working as Dr. Scott's assistant. Janet discovers she is pregnant, but is unsure if the child is Brad, Rocky, or Frank's. While the castle may have beamed back to Transylvania, the pool remained in the creator, with the corpses of Frank & Rocky. Due to his superhuman nature, Rocky miraculously recovers. While examining the crater, Brad and Dr. Scott discover Frank's body, and take it back to their lab for study. When they encounter Rocky, Dr. Scott theorizes that replicating a strand of Rocky's DNA could be used to resurrect Frank.

Ronka87 So... the Film section of this is hella long. It makes my heart sad when I look at it. Anyone got any ideas on how to make it better? Split by genre? Split by "was in Development Hell but now is not?" Divide by zero?
