Not sure if I mentioned this elsewhere, but there was a Flash Mario game somewhere where the edge of the screen killed you if you touched it.
But sure enough the Tiny Toon Adventures SNES game (Buster Busts Loose) has two scrolling levels where the edge of the screen kills you instantly.
