Adonic Meki: Removed the following text from the main entry, since as I understand it, if there's actually a reason behind it, it's not an example of this trope.
- Ichigo from Bleach goes from having trouble to fighting one Hollow (fallen ghost) to fighting hundreds in one episode. And he continues to have power jumps later on. Although it's explained later why he's able to "level up" so quickly.
~: Just wanted to say, I love the idea that it's the -bridge- that gets a power up, for the purposes of killing red shirts. Bwa ha ha...
